The savannah was still, silent... The harsh sunlight of the dry season made sure that even the bravest of animals stayed in the shadows.
But despite this, it seemed that the heat didn't scare off everyone.
A lone lioness walked the plains, dry grass crunching under her foot steps. She was panting, and her dark teal fur didn't help repelling the heat. Yet she kept on walking, glancing around every now and then to see if there was any shade nearby.

Kikome had been walking through the long dry grass for ages, he had no idea where he was going, the grass was so long he couldnt see infront of him, he had been lost in this maze for sometime and was in such desperate attempt to find water and shade and by the way things were out here, it properly was too much to ask. His ears perked up as he could hear the faintest sound of an animal Panting, in some mild hope that this animal could be not in this forsaken place of long dry grass, he tracked the source of the noise in which to his surprise led him out into the open. Before he went fully out, he soon backed into the long grass and lay down and watched the lioness that went by him, his light coloured mane and pelt camouflaged him perfectly in all the dry season's colours. He observed this lioness, her body language and her general actions would tell Kikome very clearly soon if she was a threat or friendly. he wanted to avoid fights if he can as it takes up too much energy, in which he needed to preserve.

Scout was getting annoyed. She was normally very patient, but the constant heat was finally getting on her nerves. Had it been up to her, she would have turned and left this god forsaken place and returned to the luxury of her home. But alas, that was currently not an option, and so she had to keep going forward.
It was then when she heard the faintest of rustles from behind her, and her eyes widened ever so slightly. Was someone else out here in the heat too? She stopped walking, keeping her pose casual as she tilted her head upwards as if she was checking the sun's position. Meanwhile she flicked her ears around, keeping the act slow so that it would seem like the most common thing to do. Sadly enough for her, what ever had caused the noise seemed to have stopped moving.
The teal lioness lowered her gaze, taking on an exhausted look while she still kept panting. She swept the area in front of her with her gaze, only stealing a brief glance at the scenery behind her to see if she could spot the other creature.
She couldn't, and she was running out of discreet options to figure out who was watching her.
She had to get out of sight, and the only thing she could think of was to loose herself into the tall grass. She glanced up at the sky again, taking an annoyed expression.
"Cursed sun", she muttered, keeping her voice loud enough to make sure that she was heard. She then walked right into the tall grass, and the instant she was out of sight she began to circle back to where she had come from, hoping to surprise whom ever it was that had been watching her.

Kikome Watched her every move, analysing her actions. She didnt seem that hostile but everyone has their secrets, which concerned him. He listened as she muttered something about the heat of the sun then walked into the grass. Was this considence or had she sensed she was being watched? "Blast" Then Kikome Smiled Right, lets see who this lioness really is
Kikome started pouncing around in the grass, changing direction rapidly, trying to either find the lioness or intimidate her. he couldn't take risks. "Who are you ?" he called out Kikome kept on running around making loads of noise "Hostile......friendly, i hope its the latter, for your sake" "Its a tough season out here, make yourself known and submit, let yourself be heard" "Sounds harsh, but im in no mood for nice talk, I admit, im dying out here and you are too, we cant take risks here." Kikome then took one giant leap and lay low in the grass, he soon blended in, and waited.

Scout was careful to keep her movements as silent as possible, moving at an insanely slow pace so that she would not alert the other creature of her exact whereabouts. It was then when she began hearing louder rustles from the grass nearby, and she halted her movements, her eyes wide with surprise. What on earth...?
"Who are you ? Hostile......friendly, i hope its the latter, for your sake."
She almost laughed aloud at the stupidity of this other creature - almost. He had just confirmed her suspicions that she indeed had been watched.
"Its a tough season out here, make yourself known and submit, let yourself be heard. Sounds harsh, but im in no mood for nice talk, I admit, im dying out here and you are too, we cant take risks here."
Scout smirked. True, the heat was getting at her, but she wasn't going to just reveal her location, not before she was certain who she was dealing with. Her ears flicked as she listened to the rustling noises, until there were no more sounds. She waited for a moment, making sure that the other creature had indeed stopped moving. Then she changed her direction, heading straight towards the last direction where she had heard rustling. She moved slowly, almost crawling her way through the grass, making sure she would not suddenly bump into the other creature. She still had the element of surprise, and she was going to use it.
It didn't take her long to locate the source of this mysterious voice. She halted, crouching low in the grass as she examined the creature whom, much to her luck, she had approached from behind. It was a lion, his light pelt giving him a nice camouflage in the dry grass. She thought him foolish, lying about after making so much noise while he had no idea whether she was an enemy or a friend.
The lion's actions had been rather amusing so far, and thus the teal lioness decided to see what he would do next. She remained silent, not caring to reply to the lion's words for now. She retreated ever so slightly so that the lion wouldn't spot her so easily, but made sure that she could still see the lion from where she was hiding.

Kikome still lay there, everything so quiet, he just hear faint rustling but nothing he thought could be that of a lion, just the faint rusting from a light breeze. Everything stayed quiet for a little too long.
"I know you are around here somewhere," he taunted, but not sounding all that serious
"I don't just jump around in a field of grass for nothing, im taking in the scents ,seeing the paths that have been left behind also i know roughly where you are and or course... letting letting myself known, so you can come to me.....I knew you would come to me, works every time,"
Kikome stood up and took a deep breath.
"Hmm, I must admit, you are good.....you are very good.....to get this close, no-one has done that before. You Move as swifty and silent like this very breeze, I wish I could do that, heh. You have a fighting spirit, no other lioness would wonder into the grass to try and take me by suprise, meaning you are also confident in yourself, you have been highly trained." Kikome took a short pause "But I pinpointed your scent and tracks all some time ago.. and I could pin you on the ground right now, but I'll let you off this once" Kikome turned around, and looked at the grass in front of him "Because with these current conditions, one more enemy is something I don't particularly want" Kikome smiled faintly

Scout lifted an eyebrow slightly, watching the lion turn around and face her - even though she was still hidden in the tall grass. He had called her good, but he wasn't too bad himself, being able to pick up the subtle changes in his surroundings that she had caused while moving about.
"Because with these current conditions, one more enemy is something I don't particularly want."
She chuckled aloud. "A wise decision", the teal lioness said, standing up as it was now useless to hide. She walked a little closer to the other lion so that she could see him better, and that he could see her as well. She examined him momentarily with her grey eyes, a calm expression on her face.
"You surprised me", she continued. "I didn't expect to run into anyone in this heat."

Kikome Chuckled "I Can say the Same" He Sat Down and slowly retracted his claws "Every Lion/Lioness i have came across recently has been hostile, things are getting desperate out here and it seems everyone is sticking to themselves and the only language they are talking in at the moment is violence" he sighed "I am sorry if i have caused trouble, as you may of guessed i am very on edge and i couldn't of taken risks, you suddenly changed your direction and went out of my sight plus i had a feeling you may of noticed me. Its a recipe for me to be attacked, Ive seen my fair share of battles" Kikome Looked down and stared at the ground "If i have interrupted something, im sorry and i will be on my way, but i must ask one thing.." Kikome looked up at this lioness slightly confused "I get this feeling you have had your fair share of battles. You almost had me with your sneaking tactics, and no-one has ever got as close as to 'almost' before. Kikome Paused "Who exactly are...." Kikome suddenly turned his head away and a low growl escaped "Im sorry....." Kikome Lowered his head "Dont matter.....im rambling on.....i cannot even dare ask for any information about you, as it would be unfair as i cannot say any of my own, too much information can kill out here" Kikome Shook his head quickly as to refresh things and smiled "But a Name cannot hurt, I'm Kikome, may i ask for yours ?" Kikome Lay down to rest his legs, letting off his guard this quickly was rare, but something felt different about this Lioness, he thought if she was going to of done something, she would of already, he hoped.

"I get this feeling you have had your fair share of battles. You almost had me with your sneaking tactics, and no-one has ever got as close as to 'almost' before. Who exactly are...."
Scout waited with a blank expression for the lion to finish his question, but instead he hesitated and turned to look away from her. She lifted an eyebrow ever so slightly at this, for even though she would rather not speak of herself to strangers, she had expected him to behave like any other and outright ask who she was and where she came from.
But he didn't. From what he said next she got the feeling that he too had things that he wished to hide.
"-- too much information can kill out here. But a Name cannot hurt, I'm Kikome, may i ask for yours ?"
"Kikome, huh?" she muttered, watching the lion as he laid down, seemingly letting his guard down. "That is... a good name."
She shook her head then, a slightly sarcastic half-smile appearing on her lips. Names can not hurt, he said... How little did he know.
She pushed these thoughts aside, and her half-smile was replaced with a full one. "They call me Scout."

"They Call you scout?......Interesting Name" Kikome returned the smile but couldnt resist glaring into her eyes for a second.... Scout - a title given to someone who observes an area for information, techniques, and whereabouts of enemies and reports back to their team Kikome quickly shook his head and erased these thoughts as such a name wouldn't of been publicised as much as she has done, probably just a nickname and Kikome just not turning off his mind[/i]
"So....." Kikome cleared his throat "Im off in search of some water, any will do, feel free to join me, but i will understand if you decline the offer" Kikome Got back up and looked over to his left "The open area is this way" Kikome Started to walk through the grass again.

Scout watched Kikome's expressions after she had introduced herself and he commented on her name. He was watching her as well, glaring straight into her eyes. She didn't turn her gaze away, and instead chose to wait for what ever his reaction would be.
After a while he shook his head, and she breathed a little easier. He didn't seem to find anything to be worried about with her name, and for that she was grateful.
"So..... Im off in search of some water, any will do, feel free to join me, but i will understand if you decline the offer. The open area is this way."
She chuckled, and an amused smile appeared on her lips. Water... Yes, that sounded just about what she needed. "Water sounds good", she commented, following Kikome through the grass. "Any idea where we'll find some? I passed some areas that looked like they have been waterholes, but of course they were dry now."

"I was hoping this long grass would house at least some marsh area, anything that had a puddle of water, but there was no luck, thats how i ended up in this place" Kikome Sighed "We will just have to walk on and hope for the best" he chuckled, trying to be optimistic Kikome came out of the long grass and took a long stretch "Ah finally" he smiled He moved his head across the area slowly, scanning, for any clue of possible water locations, he then turned to scout and smiled faintly "You have any idea's in which direction ?"

Scout didn't reply to Kikome's words while she followed him through the tall grass. She kept her stance relaxed, though her ears flicked around every now and then as she listened for any suspicious sounds. The tall grass made it impossible to see clearly, thus forcing her to rely on her hearing more than her eyes.
That is, until they finally cleared out of the tall grass. She carefully swept the area with her gaze, turning then to Kikome when she saw nothing suspicious.
"Ah finally. You have any idea's in which direction ?"
The teal lioness smirked faintly. "I don't suggest going that way", she said, pointing at the direction where she had walked from. "As said, there's nothing there."
She walked a bit forward, gazing at where she had been heading before meeting Kikome. "There's a valley down there", she told him. "I was gonna check it out. Theoretically speaking there should be some water there if all the other places are dry."
She glanced at the other feline. "Shall we?" she asked with a lifted eyebrow before she started walking again.

Kikome first hesistated then nodded in agreement and caught up alongside scout, then started walking alongside her. His eyes kept on scanning the area around him, even though this lioness seemed ok, he still wasnt completly sure about her, only time would tell. His thoughts started to whirl again, they are now both heading towards a valley, which has a high risk of ambushes, he was a bit hestitant as he was in no fit state to fight off large groups in this heat and lack of water. Kikome shook off these thoughts, somtimes all this training makes him think too hard plus he was getting weaker by the hour made all the more paranoid.
"I hope your predication is true" he chuckled, trying to lighten the mood
Kikome continued to walk alongside her, slowly approaching the valley, Kikome started taking in the scents but they were downwind.
"Just keep your eyes open and ears up" he informed

Scout glanced briefly at Kikome when he came to walk by her side. He seemed to be on high alert, if she could tell anything from the way he scanned the area. She turned her gaze ahead, walking with a rather casual stance. However, she wasn't ignorant of her surroundings. She simply relied more on her hearing and sense of smell right now, considering all the hiding spots that the tall grass they had left could provide.
"I hope your predication is true."
Scout smiled faintly. She was rather confident of her assumption that there would be water down in the valley. It was more of a matter of whether or not they would be the only ones who had come to such a conclusion. And if not...
"Just keep your eyes open and ears up."
Scout nodded. Yes, they would need to be alert. If there was water, and if there were other, thirsty creatures, the chance of actually getting a good, peaceful moment with the water would be slim indeed.
Either way, the teal lioness walked on, all her senses high tuned on trying to pick out any hints of whether or not they were alone. There was nothing so far. Except...
"What's that shining over there?" she asked aloud, having caught the sunlight gleaming off of something.

A brown lioness hid in the grass looking at the two lions from a safe distance. She would kill for a sip of water right now. She, Kiana, wondered if they were, too looking for water. She got up, since it was useless to hide since she wasn't blending in. " Who are you two?" she asked, claws out in case of a fight.

"Whats the shining over there ?" Kikome focused his eyes to where scout had mentioned, it indeed was something gleaming quite brightly. Then suddenly Who are you two?[/b] Kikome looked in suprise as another lioness seemed to have came out of nowhere with her claws bared. Oh the joys of the wind being against you. Kikome looked at scout, then looked back at this lioness, a smirk appeared on his face. "A lion and a Lioness that wouldnt be nice to fight with, and also mean no harm if you don't either" Kikome looked over to where the shining was coming from "But if you excuse us, there is something over there that i would really like to investigate, we can introduce later. Kikome Nodded, smiled then started to take a fast walk towards the reflection of light. At this time, he was so desperate to find out and hope for this was indeed water, that he really couldn't be bothered for another interrogation game.

"Who are you two?"
Scout let out a small, surprised hiss when the brown lioness appeared in front of them. In an instant she had caught on the other lioness' hostile mood and she narrowed her eyes, examining the newcomer with slightly narrowed eyes. What a strange creature she was, coming up to two unkown lions and putting up such a hostile display!
"A lion and a Lioness that wouldnt be nice to fight with, and also mean no harm if you don't either. But if you excuse us, there is something over there that i would really like to investigate, we can introduce later."
Scout chuckled slightly at Kikome's words and how he then more or less ignored the brown lioness as he headed towards the water that they had spotted a moment ago. She was about to follow him when she paused, glancing at the brown lioness with a thoughtful expression. The lioness was already following Kikome, leaving Scout standing there on her own. It seemed that she had calmed down after hearing Kikome's words, but why she had been so hostile in the first placed completely escaped her.
The teal lioness shook her head slightly, and headed to the water without giving the brown lioness a second glance. She wanted that drink as soon as possible, the harsh sunlight was annoying her and making it too difficult to think. The water was slightly muddy, and it was clear that it had been larger when it hadn't been so dry. But Scout didn't care right now. Her refreshing drink was already clearing up her thoughts and she snuck a glance at Kikome and the brown lioness. What should she do now that her thirst had been satisfied...?

Water, I need water, need for life
This was the only thought process for Aceiro as he ran across the dry ground. Of course short, choppy, and not well thought out thoughts were to be expected when one has gone a few days without water, even for an adolescent nearing adulthood, and having a dark pelt doesn't help solve anything. His mind was clouded, almost to the point of insanity, only for one liquid.
Water is this way.
Ace sees the valley and runs down into it. Although he saw the other lions and his body didn't want to go, the overwhelming need for water took over his mind and forced him to run through the lions to get to the small pool of water. When paws hit the liquid he lowered his head and quickly drank . As he did so his mind cleared and he became aware of the others. As he spun around to face them his body tensed up and prepared to run.
"h.. Hello. I.. I am sorry about doing that."
As Ace said this his mind became even more awake as the water he just drank is distributed throughout his body.

Kikome watched as another new lion plus the 2 lionesses he already met went past his careful steady walk and got to the water before he did. Seems like this water was a magnet for for strangers, and logically it would be. Kikome walked to the edge of the ever so shrinking water and lent down to take a sip, but before he could his senses disrupted him. Something didn't seem right, it was all too quiet for a place that housed such life saving water, plus they were in this valley. Kikome raised his head.
"Something isn't right....."

Scout's eyes widened when her ears caught the sound of running. As a reflex she leapt backwards with her claws out and a small hiss coming from her mouth. She blinked her grey eyes at the sight of this new lion, and with a faint snort she retracted her claws and relaxed her pose, choosing to ignore what he was saying. Instead her gaze landed on Kikome, and she narrowed her eyes at how tense he seemed. From what she had seen previously when they had "played hide and seek" in the tall grass, she had a vague idea that Kikome had noticed something.
"Something isn't right....."
Scout glanced around, flicking her ears and taking in the scents. She frowned and came to the conclusion that Kikome was right. Having admitted that, she then cursed herself for letting her need for water make her too reckless to notice how silent the valley was.
She glanced at Kikome and the two new lions, momentarily examining them and going through her options. Either she could go on with her plans do what she had come here for, or she could stay put and see what would happen.
The teal lioness let out a frustrated sigh, glancing behind her at the direction where she and Kikome had come from. Nothing... There was absolutely nothing in this valley aside from herself and the three other felines.
"You think we should leave?" she asked Kikome, still gazing at the plains for any sign of movement.

Kiara ran over to the water and sipped. She was relived but was unaware that it was quiet until she heard Kikome say so. She turned to face Scout when she talked and pondered in thought. She didn't want to leave the water, but she heard trouble brewing.

"You think we should leave?" Kikome glanced over to scout then looked around in his surroundings, he nodded in agreement. He fixed his gaze back at the pool of water, after all this time looking for a single sip of water and there it was, but he dare not get distracted for one second....
"Well im not letting whoever this thing is get in the way of me and some water" he damanded
Kikome produced a low growl and sprinted up the valley, in search for any intruders. In a flash, a lion had pounced on him from the top of the valley catching him off guard and they both tumbled down, load violent roars echoed in the valley with paws and claws slashing in attack and defence, Kikome was soon very quick to pin the lion as they reached the bottom of the valley along with the others. Because of the disorientation of the tumbling scuffle, Kikome hadnt managed to pin the lion properly and the lion dug his claw into Kikome's stomach, Kikome roared in agony and Jumped off the lion to try and get a better pin position but in a flash the lion had got up and ran off.
"Dont go after him!" was the first thing kikome said in a demanding tone Kikome tried to catch some of his breath. "He's retreating, he was scared......simple self defence" he explained Kikome took a few deep breathes to calm himself down, he didnt look to see what damage has been done to him, he kept his eyes locked onto where the lion has ran to. "I have searched endlessly for water, this is the closest source for days, he will be back" and faint smirk appeared on his face.
Kikome lay down on his side, growling deeply, half ashamed and embarrassed of his actions. How could a lion have such skill to catch him off guard like that? "Impossible........unless" Kikome quickly smelt the air to catch his scent if he could "We will see"
Kikome scanned his eyes over the group with only half eye contact and with a lowered head, feeling a bit awkward.

"Well im not letting whoever this thing is get in the way of me and some water."
Scout was slightly startled when Kikome suddenly sprinted away. she glanced briefly at the newcomers, then made a quick decision and dashed after Kikome. She didn't get too far though when she saw that Kikome was attacked, and she skidded to a halt with a frown on her face as she watched the two lions fight. She made no move to go to either lions' aid, only kept the cool gaze of her grey eyes on them whilst she flicked her ears around in case some more lions came out of nowhere.
The fight ended surprisingly fast. One moment Kikome had the stranger pinned down, and the next thing you knew was how the stranger clawed Kikome's belly and fled. Scout tensed, listening at Kikome when he ordered not to go after the strange lion. His explanation sounded weak to her, she didn't really believe any lion would foolishly attack anyone in this cursed heat just because they were "scared".
The teal lioness watched with a blank expression when Kikome laid down, growling. She noted that he still hadn't drank any water, and was now probably weakened from both the fight and the wound in his belly - even though she couldn't see the amount of damage the stranger had managed to cause. He then glanced at her and the other felines, before lowering his head.
She took a shaky breath, trying to keep it as quiet as possible. Slowly a sly smirk appeared on her face, and for the first time today she felt thrilled. This was her chance, and she sure as hell wasn't going to miss it.
Her smirk spread into a grin and she suddenly pounced at Kikome with her claws extended and a slightly murderous glint in her eyes, aiming to take him by surprise. She didn't care how nice he might have been or how weak he might have become after the attack a moment ago, nor did she care of the presence of those other lions. She had only one objective in her mind - to finish the task that had brought her on these cursed plains.

Kikome Stood staring at the ground, thinking deeply about what the hell has just happened and how that lion could of caught him off guard. Suddenly Kikome felt a pair of claws dig into him along with the full body weight of a lion. Kikome Roared in agony but was quick rid the attacker with one almighty throw , he then jumped to his feet. He went to look over to scout but she wasn't there, a bolt of anger flooded through his blood as he knew what has just happened, he looked over his shoulder and there was scout, the lioness he had just thrown, the lioness that had just attacked him.
"You waited until i was down to attack me, you are low!" he growled angrily "I should of known better to of put so much faith into a stranger" "State your reasons, or is your only language at the moment violence ?" he grinned
Kikome changed his stance and bared his claws, ready to defend "You are trained....quite highly, ive seen enough to know that. But im sure you are aware that i am too, it will take alot more then a few deep slashes to weaken my combat." Kikome glared at scout "Do you want to attempt to prove me wrong or do you want to explain what the hell is going on, enemies is something we do not need Scout...." Kikome looked at the other lion and lioness then back to scout "....All of us"

Scout had half expected Kikome to notice her attack before she could hit him, and she was mildly pleased when she felt her claws dig into him. However, as the initial surprise wore off Kikome threw her off. She twisted her body in flight and landed on her paws, crouching into a defensive position as Kikome turned his gaze at her.
"You waited until i was down to attack me, you are low! -- State your reasons, or is your only language at the moment violence ?"
He was mad at her, and she couldn't really blame him. She felt just as low as he accused her to be, but how else could she have acted? She knew she didn't have as much strength as he had, and her only option was to attack while he was weak. She said nothing though, only stared back at him with a blank expression.
"You are trained....quite highly, ive seen enough to know that. But im sure you are aware that i am too, it will take alot more then a few deep slashes to weaken my combat."
Oh she knew. She had realized this the very moment they had had their little game of hide and seek in the tall grass. For a moment it crossed her mind that perhaps he might be more capable of a fighter than she was, that perhaps she'd actually loose this time... But she pushed such thoughts away. She would give this fight all she had.
"Do you want to attempt to prove me wrong or do you want to explain what the hell is going on, enemies is something we do not need Scout.... All of us."
Finally, the teal lioness shook her head. "I can't do that, Kikome", she replied, her gaze never leaving him. "I hold no personal grudge against you - heck, I don't even really know who you are. But I obey my orders, I have no other choice."
She paused, and a slightly hesitant expression appeared on her face. For a moment she pondered why she was telling him this, why she was talking to this lion she barely knew. She never spoke to her targets, never gave them any answers when they demanded them. And yet, here she was, explaining herself. She should just shut up and do what she had to.
"The moment I saw you, when you told me your name..." she started slowly. "My fate was sealed. I have to kill you, or die trying. If I back down, I'll just die anyway."
She chuckled bitterly. "Such cruel masters I serve... But that matters not, for as I said, I have no other choice."
Her hesitation and bitterness vanished, and an emotionless expression took their place. She always had this mask on when she was out on duty - the mask of an assassin. Without more delay she leapt at Kikome again, knowing that she couldn't surprise him any more and could only hope that her skills were enough to take him down in his weakened state.

Kikome stood there and listened carefully to Scout's replies A faint smile appeared on his face after she spoke and by that time she had taken another leap at Kikome but this time he was in his perfect defence stance. This enabled him to quickly dive down onto the floor and roll, avoiding her attack and at the same time rolling under her leap, he gave a light warning slash across her hind leg as he rolled, he didn't want to do too much damage...yet, for he still had hope. A large surge of pain thundered from his belly wound after his defence move, he contained his pain not to show any more weakness then he already has, he took a quick glance at the wound and it was pretty bad, Kikome eyes then focused back to scout and he leapt back to his 4 paws. Kikome took a few concentrated breathes through his nose to try and ease the pain, he then took a slight sigh "So Scout......another assassin been sent after me, they don't give in do they?" His Eyes focused in on Scout, ready for her next move.....

Scout felt a slight pang of disappointment when Kikome evaded her attack so easily... But all such thoughts were pushed aside when he scratched her. She held back the hiss of pain that threatened to escape her and landed behind Kikome. She whirled around, her stance defensive as she flexed her hind leg while her gaze was focused on Kikome. The wound stung slightly, but it wasn't enough to cause her serious pain. So it was a warning then?
"So Scout......another assassin been sent after me, they don't give in do they?"
"Apparently not", she replied, trying to read Kikome's body language and see whether or not he would try something. She wondered briefly just how much in pain he was from that gash in his belly, and had to admit that he was doing a good job hiding his weaknesses. She couldn't see him falter, but she knew he had to be in pain.
She realized then that rushing in for a blow would not work. She had to get him to attack her, but she had no idea how exactly she could do that. She knew nothing of her target, only is name and that someone wanted him dead. She had nothing she could use on him.
Unless...
She blinked. She did know one other thing, and even though she despised using such cheap tricks like this, she didn't really have any other option. Carefully she began to circle around Kikome, her gaze never leaving him. She didn't know how he would react to what she had to say, and she definitely needed to be alert for any movement on his part.
The teal lioness circled around the other lion in silence for quite a while, then allowed a small smirk to spread on her face. She was about to step into unknown, and she could not hesitate now.
And so, with the smirk still on her face, she spoke with a slightly mocking tone. "Your daughter sends her greetings."

Kikome Tracked Scouts movements, watching her every move, he wanted to stay focused and not be put off by any any words or actions......
"Your daughter sends her greetings."
Kikome Snapped, one of his soft spots had just been unearthed, Kikome ripped out a roar and charged at scout full power........

Meanwhile, not so far away, the unknown lion slowed down his running until he came to a gentle stop to regain his breath "That was a close one, he almost got me back there, good thing i had an advantage of being on the higher ground....i hope he is ok, He let out a light chuckle, then sighed slightly "All I wanted was some water, wasn't it that much to ask, how else was i to react to such a hostile charge?" A Puzzled expression came across the adolescent lions face. His ears then perked up when he could hear some noise behind him just where he had just ran from. He Looked behind him and seen the valley in the mid distance and questioned his thoughts and actions, hesitantly he started to make his way back to the valley....
