Ayesha took aim and tossed the small rock at Judas head, but just as it left her paw kesho moved and stood up, and it struck him instead, and the force made him loose his balance and then next thing she saw was the cub falling head first into the water. As soon as she saw him move, it registered with Ayesha was was going to happen.
Digging her claws into the ground, she propelled her body forward, trying to lunge at the cub and save him before he hit the water, but she was too late. As she reached the bank edge she saw the crocodile stare at her wth his yellow eyes as he sunk beneath the water after the cub. Stopping herself as she was about to leap atop of the animal, with her claws bared, as she heard Ayeles voice come from behind her. Sucking in her breath, Ayesha stood there paralysed by what had just happened.... and it was her fault and no one elses.
She looked down at the water, not even noticing the red blood shining and merging with the ripples. Silently she moved backed, her eyes still where she last saw the prince what was I thinking... what have I done, Ayele and I will be banished by Umoja... and the prince, I've killed him, when I was trying to save him
About to turn to face her brother, she wasn't sure what the expression would be on his muzzle, but she knew whatever it would be she deserved it. Her head snapped upright as she heard paws behind her and a low growl, escaped into the air., the black panther had put in an appearance again.
Where's Keshomaliki?" Ayesha heard her ask. Finally meeting the panthers eyes with her own, she opened her muzzle "I killed him".

Ubazazi saw the lions and cub have a bit of an episode just before the cub fell into the water. Running up to get a better look, she heard the two voices talking. Ducking behind a shrub, she listened.
"Where's Keshomaliki?" Keshomalki......why, that is the name of the prince! Ubazazi thought.
"I killed him"
She chuckled under her breath. Well, this girl just completed what would have been a very dirty job for her. She can skip right to part 2, taking over. Emerging from her hiding place, Ubazazi approached them.
"Oh, how horrible! I'm sorry, I couldn't help but over hear, how tragic! I'm Ubazazi, queen of the jungle. I came to help you with your ailing price! Is there anything I can do now?"

Standing there bracing herself for the Panthers fury, Ayesha stepped back in front of her brother, it seemed she couldn't protect the prince, but if it was the last thing she would do, Ayele wasn't going to be hurt any further.
From the corner of her eye, she saw a flash of white, turning slightly away from the panther, she unsheathed her claws ready, there in front of them stepping out from a bush was a tiger, claiming to be a Queen of the Jungle.
"Looks like we have company... someone you know is it ? because at the moment I'm in no mood for small talk" Ayesha growled to the black panther.

Imani, unsure of what exactly to do, followed after Umoja. He had sent Katakasha after the panther to find the whereabouts of the prince. Imani hoped that Kata would find him quickly. He was probably terrifed out of his mind to be all alone.
She checked the grass below her feet and made sure not to step onto anything that could retaliate. A snake slithered in front of her and into the water. She let a shiver tingle down her spine... she hated snakes, especially water snakes. They always seem to come out of no where and that had always sort of scared her. She could hear a crocodile not far off and she grimaced.

She looked from the water, to Ayesha, to Judas standing on the riverbank. To the blood in the water, to the crocodiles swimming towards the middle of the river. The greatest one had a small bundle of fur between its jaws. "Come on!" she said, leaping from the reeds. For the moment she ignored the tiger, but then it registered: tigers could swim. "If you want to help you can get us to those crocodiles!" she shouted over her shoulder. There was a pile of logs near the bank of the river, right next to where the wilderbeast thundered past, washed in a heap by a tributory. The ground shook beneath her feet and dust clotted her lungs, but she leapt atop the pile to where the logs had been dried by the sun, picked the largest, and heaved. "Help me pull this into the water!" When Ayesha didn't move, she said, "They wouldn't dare kill him. If my master ever found out they did, their days would be numbered. You explained that you were taking him to He who Lives in Death?" She stood atop the pile, tense with anxiety, her back against the largest log.

Ayele sat there confused to what had happened, was happening he sighed and laided his head down on the ground and closed his eyes... maybe he'd just wait still while things sorted themselves out.

Ayesha stood there poised ready to fight , she just wasn't sure how the panther was going to strike. Surprised when instead she lept but it wasn't at her and Ele, it was back and towards the river where there happened to be logs all piled up on the bank, Ayesha was totally confused by now what on earth is she doing, I've killed the prince, and she doesn't care....
"Help me pull this into the water!" "They wouldn't dare kill the prince, If my master ever found out they did, their days would be numbered. You explained that you were taking him to He who Lives in Death?"
Blinking quickly, Ayesha snapped out of her little daze when she registered what the panther was telling her " Kesho is still alive, is that what you're saying ?" Starting to move back over to the river bank, she stopped, turned and paced to where Ayele lay and gently picked him up by scruff of his neck and placed him on her back "Hold tight Ele".
Not looking at the white tiger still standing in the same spot by the bushes, she went straight past her, to where the panther stood trying to push the heaviest log into the water. Looking up at her, Ayesha licked her lips before she spoke. "they were talking to Judas, but I was close enough to overhear, they said they would help take us there, and then ...things..well sort of happened."
Ayesha looked over to where she last saw Judas standing, but she couldn't see him, she presumed he was lying down in the reeds, or he had left her and Ele behind. Realising the panther was waiting for her help, she stepped forward gingerly, and started to press her shoulder and front paws onto the log hoping they would feel some movement,

"Get tracking them, Katakasha. We'll be right behind you."
The black lioness rolled her eyes when Umoja turned his back at her again. "Yyou'd better follow quickly, I don't want them to catch more distance between us..." She sent a glare from her eyecorner at Imani, and realized how the lioness seemed to fear a snake that had appeared out of nowhere. Kata chuckled as she turned to check the tracks the panther had left for them to follow. 'So the brat is afraid of snakes, huh?' she thought as she sniffed the ground, memorizing the panther's scent before beginning to follow the still very fresh trail. 'Gotta remember that one...'
She was trotting as she followed the trail, there was no reason for running. The panther had left clear signs of her passing, but if she ran Umoja and the two lionesses would never reach her quickly. And the faster they would catch up, the better for Kata.
She frowned as she trotted, realizing she'd have to deal with a possibly very angry liard female when she would reach the group. Had the newcomer not tackled her the liard boy would be fine and his big sister wouldn't be so angered...
Just as she was about to release a growl of annoyance, something caught her eye. She stopped on her tracks, a faint smile rising to her muzzle while her half closed eyes examined the little plant to her left. With a swift movement she lowered her head and pulled the plant out of the ground with her teeth.
Katakasha continued trotting after the panther's trail, the small plant that could spare her from the female liard's anger was held safely in her jaws.

"If you want to help you can get us to those crocodiles!"
"Well, I........" Ubazazi definitely did not want to get her paws dirty over something as trivial as the life of the cub she was going to overthrow. Yet, she was never going to get the peasants respect if she openly refused to help. Sighing under her breath, she waded into the water, keeping her eye right on the crocodiles. Gulping, she turned to the others. "What do you want to me do?"

"help me to get this log on the water," the panther said. She had her back to it, pushing it towards the water, but it wouldn't budge. "Then you can swim - tigers are good at swimming, no - and push the log towards the crocodiles. Don't worry - they won't eat you. We all work for my master. They'll leave you alone but for the sake of the old kings, help me!"

((Hi guys, sorry for the hiatus )) He was paralyzed, more than just in his muscles his mind too seemed to have stopped and he left staring out into the river. The blood coating the water and the mud of the riverbank. This was just too much for him to even bare, he had lost the cub to the jaws of the crocodiles. The scruffy male didn't sense the world around him, only the memories and scenes that flashed through his mind; of cubs being torn to pieces by large crocodiles. However commotion and a yell of help threw the wounded soldier out of his traumatic thoughts, and back in the harsh reality of the real world. Judas rushed to wards the sound of the commotion only to see the panther struggling with getting a log into the water. Why he didn't know, in actuality he didn't honestly care, all he did now was to rush over there and help them the best his broken body could. He leaped to wards the logs and began pushing on them, even if this action made his wounds only hurt more, he didn't care. The small flicker of hope that the prince might still be alive pushed him on wards.

Ayele clung on his sisters back, his head was low, touching her back and his eyes remained shut, he was tired and it was all he could do to focus on holding on to her, he just hoped whatever was going on would end soon and he'd be able to rest again and not hurt.

She was leaning into the logs with all her might, when she felt the presence of someone beside her. Blowing her white tuft out of the way, she tilted her head slightly and her eyes widened with shock as she saw Judas using his body weight to push along side herself and the panther.
Not knowing what to say, she bit back another curse she had been saying to herself about him 'disapearing', and turned back using her anger, gave one more shove against the wood.
"IT'S MOVING... hurry up get on the log before it goes without us. "
Stretching forward, Ayesha dug in her sharpened claws and pulled herself on, balancing so there was room for Judas and the panther. Looking about her wildly, she kept waiting for a crocodile to rear out of the water and strike, and at the same time shouting out for the others to hurry.

"That's it!' The panther said, as the log drifted out onto the water. It was more of a tree trunk than a log, old and bleached by the sun, but it floated well. Ayesha had already jumped aboard, and the panther soon followed, then looked to the wilderbeest trampling through the waters. Their log was floating straight for them. "Quickly!" she shouted back to the shore. The tigeress was ankle deep in water. "Stay in the water, but put your forepaws on the log. Push us towards the crocodiles with the cub! Do you want to help or not??" She raised her head and looked for the crocs in question, saw them swim through the water between the swimming buffalo, further downstream. The panther looked to the buffalo, at their horned heads as they struggled past, eyes fearful, horns dangerous. Extending her claws, she gripped the log for all she was worth.

As the log plunged into the water the male threw himself at it, personally Judas had nothing against water, he actually liked water and to swim. But this river was not an ideal place for a bath, so he proceeded with keeping himself balanced on the tree trunk, digging his claws further into the deadwood.
As they coursed along with the current, unfortunately to wards the crossing point of the migrating animals. The panther called to wards the tiger that was still on the shore with having her pushing them along to wards the crocodiles so they could follow them down stream; possibly to this one called 'the corpse gatherer' whoever and indeed whatever that was. The male had also picked up a vibe from Ayesha apparently she wasn't very pleased with his delay.
If they managed to follow the reptiles then maybe there would be a slight hope of rescuing the prince. Apparently the panther thought that the crocks wouldn't dare kill the cub, due to the fact that they served her master. The soldier however was having his doubts on that, they never spoke of any master but seemed revere this 'corps gatherer' thing. "Excuse me!" the scruffy male yelled over the loud splashing sounds coming from the stampeding herd.
"Are you sure those crocks serve your master?" He needed to know if the panther was certain, "But tell me, do you know who or what exactly this 'corpse gatherer' is?!" he added, the panther seemed wise and had a great of knowledge so this thing.. or whatever it was, should be familiar to her. Unless of course she began to speak in riddles again, not that the soldier was complaining but given their current predicament it wouldn't be much of a help.

"Stay in the water, but put your forepaws on the log. Push us towards the crocodiles with the cub! Do you want to help or not??"
Growling under her breath, Ubazazi swam to the log. Using her front legs,, she pushed the now heavy wood toward the crocodiles.
"This better be quick." She mumbled. Her leg was starting to hurt. Shifting the weight to her shoulder, she pushed the log the rest of the way. It's okay, Uba, it'll all be worth it in the end. When they reached the crocodiles, she let go. "So, my friends, I do not think I am of any more use to you." she said with an innocent smile.

Ayesha dug her claws in even harder when she felt the log wobble slightly when Judas jumped on beside her, she had a good mind to push him off in the water, serve him right if the crocs had a go at him, better they get to him before she did.
Looking back over her shoulder she saw the white tiger reach them and start to move them more quickly in the water following the path that the crocs were seen to have gone with kesho. She could hear the panting coming from the tiger. they were getting closer to the crocs, but also would be amongst the panicking buffalo, were they all about to be tossed in the river, every one of them fending for themselves.
"Ele don't let go of me, no matter what... if we go under the water, hold your breath and dig in tight with your claws."
Ayesha turned towards Judas and held his eyes for a moment blinking slowly, then turned back her eyes now fastened on the black panther.

"Are you sure those crocks serve your master? But tell me, do you know who or what exactly this 'corpse gatherer' is?!"
"They do not 'serve' my master. They 'fear' my master," the panther said, still gripping the log for dear life. Startled wilderbeest veered around them, obviously afraid of the land predators that appeared where they should not be. "The corpse gatherer and my master are the same." With that she turned around to the crocodiles, to whom they were now very close.
"So, my friends, I do not think I am of any more use to you," the tiger, Ubazazi, said.
Just you wait, the panther thought. To the crocodiles she shouted, "Ancient ones. Do you know who you anger by stealing this child?"
"We anger no one," said the closest.
"We take him to your master."
"Unacceptable. It's my job to take him," the panther replied.
"Oh?"
"So how would you repay us for the return of the cub?"
"Eat the tiger," the panther said. "The master has heard of her exploits. She is an evil manipulator. Take her: look how she dangles in the water so. An easy bite, and she's all yours."
The crocodiles eyes swung to the tiger, and there was a terrible moment of silence: then they dropped the cub in the water. "Healp!" Kesho screamed, his paws slapping the muddy, churning surface
The panther left the cub for Ayesha to take care of. Instead she jumped over Judas' back and swiped at Ubazazi's claws, where they gripped the log. "You're a little too famous to fool me that easily," she said.

Ayesha clung on her paws were feeling the strain, she leaned forward a little so she could hear what the panther and crocodiles were talking about. what.. everyone fears her master, what sort of wild beast he is, hows he going to heal Kesho With her mind darting off in all directions, Ayesha nearly missed what was being said next. "So how would you repay us for the return of the cub?" the crocs casually stated to the panther. Her eyes widened when the panther flung back at them to eat the tiger. just like that, no hesitation, no nothing...hmm
Still waiting, Ayesha watched as one of the crocs spat something out of his mouth 'KESHO... ITS KESHO' she screamed. Just as the Panther jumped over the soldier, Ayesha jumped into the water, and swam towards the prince who was floundering in the water. Opening her muzzle she grabbed him by the loose skin on his back and tried to keep afloat. She knew Ayele had obeyed her instructions, she could feel him hanging on for dear life and his little whimpers reached her ears.
Treading water, she moved a little, still keeping afloat, she'd had lots of practise while she'd been away from the pride, in fact it was one of her guilty secrets, finding a waterhole and just swimming and floating, when darkness descended some nights.
Feeling something nudge her rear, she just prayed it was Judas and the panther and not something else, they had made it this far, got kesho back all in one piece, and now wasn't the time to be looked over for dinner and dessert.

The soldier easily got his answerer, of course it all made sense. This master was the lord of death itself and the crocodiles would certainly have stories on how he collected the corpses of the fallen. Through some fast talking the crocodiles dropped the child with the pretense that they got the tiger in return.
Apparently the panther knew of this tiger's dark past, and sinister nature. As the black feline lunged for the tigress the soldier was inclined to join in the fray if it weren't for a familiar yell of help that reached his ears.
Apparently Ayesha too had heard it and she had thrown herself into the water with Ayele still on her back, not thinking another second the soldier too flung himself into the water and quickly reached the liard as she had gotten the cub. "You know you have a passenger?" the soldier said though a gasp of air, of course he was referring to Ayele stuck on her back.
He wanted to scold her for such a bold move, what if she had lost Ayele in that jump? But he refrained from it, as this was not the time and place, though he noticed one thing of how good a swimmer she actually were? Did she too like water? Well apparently it didn't bother her even if this place was packed with crocks.
He soon enough reached the log and climbed onto to it, to help Ayesha back up onto it, "Give me the child.." the soldier said, this time he'd not lose him, no way. When Kesho were safe then he'd drag Ayesha back onto the log.

Katakasha looked at the water in front of her, her purple eyes scanning the shore and the waters so intently it seemed like she could see through everything. Her nose was twiching slightly while her ears flickered, and in her mouth she was still holding the tiny plant she had caught earlier.
The black lioness streched her neck and paws, glancing over her shoulder at the direction from which Umoja with his two lionesses should arrive soon. Then her gaze would return to the waters. She knew the panther had been here with Judas, Ayesha and both of the cubs. She could also smell crocodiles, and she was sure there were a few hiding in the water while the others were propably following the small group the panther was leading. The tracks on the soft soil told her a log had been pushed to the water, and the paw prints following said track inclined the small group had continued their way through water.
What made her wonder though was the scent of a tiger... female tiger. With slightly narrowed eyes Kata gazed at the river, and at the herd of wilderbeests that were crossing the waters. And there, she could see a flash of white, and she just knew the group was there.
Growling softly the black lioness looked at the ground again, and followed the tracks the log had left with her gaze. Her eyes widened and a slight grin appeared on her muzzle. There were still logs there, similar to the one on which the small group was struggling currently in the middle of the river.
Impatiently she glanced at where Umoja and the two lionesses should arrive at any minute, and then went to the logs, beginning to push one of them towards the water with all strength she had. The tree was moving, and she was fairly certain it would be close enough to the water once Umoja and the lionesses would arrive.

"Eat the tiger,"the panther said. "The master has heard of her exploits. She is an evil manipulator. Take her: look how she dangles in the water so. An easy bite, and she's all yours." Ubazazi eyes widened as she heard the words. What did this brat see her as, a soft, weak prima donna? That is what she was presenting herself as, but if this girl truly knew her "dark past", as she so like to call it (If she wants to spend her whole life at the bottem, be her guest, Ubazazi takes her opportunities) she would know better. As the foolish panther lunged at her, she swatted her body and jumped, holding her just above the water. Soft enough the others couldn't hear, she whispered to the panther.
"You thought you got me? You thought you where through with me? I'm a bigger cat then you, child, in size and status. I could tear you apart, if I wanted to, but I won't. It would be a waste of energy. Trust me, if you try anything like this again, every able animal in the jungle would be more than ready to rip you to shreds. I promise." Turning to the approaching crocodiles, she growled. "That goes for you too. This very river runs through a jungle, a jungle I just so happen to rule. Hippopotamuses grow quite large feeding on jungle riches, but that doesn't mean their teeth and jaws aren't practiced strong." Looking up, she saw the cub had been saved. Releasing the panther, she smiled. "How wonderful! Why don't we go return him to your master, hm?"

"There is a jungle far downstream, behind the veil of death," the smaller crocodile said, "But around here the river cuts through desert."
"How that stops you from being our lunch, I don't know."
With that, they opened their jaws together and lunged at the tiger, just as the panther took another swipe at her claws. "Let go of the log!"
\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/
Kesho gasped, and got the first mouthful of air he had had in a long time. Someone was grabbing him by the scruff of the neck but he couldn't see who, though blinking feebly, Judas came to view in front of him. "Judas!" he croaked, and held out his little paws!
/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\
Umoja emerged onto the reedy lakeshore a moment after Katakasha, to find the black lion pushing a log to the waterside. "What are you doing? Oh..." He saw the marks in the water, saw a commotion going on downstream - animals in the water about a log bobbing in the swift current. There was a herd of wilderbeest heading across the river but they were thinning now: the last of the beasts were nearly across. Soon the crocodiles he could see would be all alone. Most were gorging on carcasses... but the others were watching him intently. And swimming this way. "Hurry, Kata. Imani! Naily! Come on, onto the log!' He put his back to the wood and looked over his shoulder, watching as the log drifted out of sight around a wide bend.

"How that stops you from being our lunch, I don't know."
Ubazazi growled again. The crocodiles lunged at her again, but she was ready this time. Crocodiles don't have many weaknesses, but that doesn't mean they don't have any. As the reptile got closer, she raised her paw and clawed it's eyes. The smaller one was easier, she jumped on it's back, forcing it underwater, and bit it's neck. Jumping off, she lunged at the panther, holding her again. She wasn't going to risk any funny business from her.
"STOP! Cease attacking me! If you eat me you will be full for a day, but you'll be hungry for the rest of your lives. If you let me live, I'll allow you and your other crocodile friends come to my lands any time you want. Well-fed jungle animals have far more meat then scrawny plains animals. It's your choice. Otherwise, you can expect some trouble from my followers, desert or not."
Holding the panther towards the other cats, she put on her best horrified face.
"What kind of person is this? Making up lies about manipulation and happily presenting a complete stranger to her doom. After she just helped you get back your prince! There are hundreds of better, more peaceful ways of working this out, but she just jumps into murder! What kind of deceiving, sadistic kind does this?"

"You know you have a passenger?" Ayesha heard from behind her, relieved as she recognised Judas low voice,..he had come to help afterall. "Give me the child.." turning around she swam as close to the log as she could and was about to place Kesho up when he cried out for Judas and opened his paws for the soldier.
Taken aback a little, Ayesha lowered her long lashes and moved to the other end and pulled her self up, careful not to upend them all she balanced herself out. Reaching around , she moved Ayele off her back and placed him between her front paws and started to lick the excess water from him, she noticed he winced with every movement she made. Lowering her voice she whispered in his ear quietly .
"Ele, you were very brave for me, and did what I asked, mother would have been so proud of you just now... we will get to the bank soon and then I will clean all the muck and dirt from you, and look for some plants I know that I can put on your wounds to help you, just a little further...ok "
Turnng her head at last, she saw the black panther fighting with the tiger, and by the looks of it the tiger had the upper paw. Realising there was nothing her or Judas could do as they had the cubs to protect, she just stood there watching as they floated further away with the current.

Imani followed Umoja quickly, emerging from the reeds to find Katakasha pushing a large tree or log type thing into the water. She saw the last of the wildebeast herd crossing and the crocodiles beginning to turn their the two groups of felines. Ayele, Ayehsa, the panther, and the rest were up ahead, were following something, which she assumed was the little prince.
"Hurry, Kata. Imani! Naily! Come on, onto the log!"
Umoja shouted at the group. Mani quickly helped Kata push the log into the river. Once the log was bobbing on the current, she waited for someone to jump atop it first. She didn't want to lead quite yet, so she waited.

"Hurry, Kata. Imani! Naily! Come on, onto the log!"
Katakasha's eyes widened momentarily before they narrowed into slits, a soft warning growl emitting from her throat. She noticed Imani had come beside her to help with the log, but her narrowed and very angry eyes were on Umoja.
A splash from nearby got her back under control. The black lioness turned her head so fast her mane swayed slightly before it stilled into its normal position again. She growled again, but with the tiny plant in her mouth she was unable to tell what got her so angry this time.
Two eyes... Two big, round, yellow eyes stared at her from the water. Kata extented her claws, though even she wasn't that strong or foolish to take on a full grown crocodile...
And so instead she pounced on the log, balancing herself on it so that she was facing the water and the hungry eyed crocodiles. She motioned with her head to those still on the shore to quickly come and join her on the log unless they wished to be left behind. And then her attention was on the water again. One hit... If she only managed to make one hit to the eyes they could survive if the crocs would come any closer...

As the little paws stretched towards him the soldier let the cub crawl onto his face, even if his tiny claws stung in his wounds it didn't matter much, just that the prince was safe. That was all that matterd to him, but also the safety of Ayesha and her little brother naturally. "Hold on tight now, Kesho." that was an almost command, half request as if he lost Kesho again the chances of the saveing the cub one second time was bleak.
Ayesha had proceeded to clean her brother of any excess water, Judas on the other hand was too busy with keeping himself steady on the log to give Kesho any bath, maybe once they reached their destination he would. Though he now kept a careful watch on how the panther swatted at the tiger, apperiantly wanting this sinister feline to leave.
((Bah, sorry it's short, heh))

Ayele was with his sister, he'd had his eyes closed the whole time, he was drenched to the bone and looked like a drowned rat but still his was with his sister... he felt safe, he had held on like asked and she was telling him he was good and mum would of been proud, yet all he could do was manage a wince of a smile and hoped they'd be there soon, where ever there was they were going.

(occ.. Its fine Judas, It just good to have you back Still clenching the log with her claws, Ayesha got used to the rythem of the moving water, if it was another time and place she would quite enjoy what was happening. Making sure Ele was secure, she looked back over her shoulder, the panther and the white tiger it looked like were fighting, and she couldn't tell who was going to be the winner. "Judas can you remember anything the crocodiles said about how to keep going to find our way further to the panthers master, I could only hear some snippets of what was being said... because by the looks of whats happening back there, we mighten have the pleasure of her company for much longer, only the crocs will be." Squinting her eyes a little Ayesha gave a gasp, turning to the soldier she mouthed the words ' Kata and Umoja....look '
