I've added a pic of these two here. There are more pictures in my gallery in the fan art thread.
Name: Songa (Son-gah)
Nickname: Eagleye
Species: Lion
Age: Adult (Age can vary in RPs)
Gender: Male
Description: Songa is a large, powerfully built male lion with a large wavy mane that curls at the ends. Almost everything about him is bigger than average. He has very strong forelegs which give him extra strength in combat and he also has very large feet with exceptionally long black claws. He has a broad head with a well-defined muzzle and his brow is usually furrowed which makes him look like he is always deep in thought or slightly troubled. Songa also has a slightly longer tail than usual with a dark brown tuft of fur at the end matching his mane. His pelt is a slightly dark shade of peruvian brown and his mane is the color of taupe (almost black). His underbelly is a more pale brown that matches his paws and under eyes shading. He also has large ears that stick out from his mane which have dark black outer rings. His inner ears are the color of raw umber, along with his upper eyes shading. Songa's eyebrows are the color of bistre and are quite thick. His eyes are large and intense. His sclera is the color of amber while his irises are the color of rust. Songa has an excellent sense of sight and hearing.
Behavior: Songa is best described as serious. He is very intelligent and has excellent manners. But he does not take a joke lightly and does not handle sarcasm well. He is an intellectual as far as lions go and quite sensitive. His best friend is his twin brother Kumai and together they share many secrets. Songa is also a bit of a fighter and enjoys a scuffle here and there. He is an excellent warrior. He is very protective of his mother and brother and wishes to settle down and form a pride soon. He enjoys hunting and taking part in border patrol when the position is available mainly due to his protective nature. He is also very responsible and brave. He has been known to put himself in from of others in an attempt to save them from danger. He takes it upon himself to make sure that those he loves are taken care of and does his best to do what he believes to be right. Songa can come across as unfriendly and arrogant to strangers but this is mainly because he is not gifted at conversation. Once he has taken the time to get to know others, (which doesn't happen often unfortunately since he can be kinda impatient/judgemental) his nature can truly be revealed as kind and especially generous and helpful. He is often sensitive to others dislike and this can often make him even more reserved and cold. Songa is also shy of females because when he falls in love, he falls hard. He can be very forgiving. Can be. Songa can often be seen watching his brother Kumai play with cubs from a distance and he sometimes joins in the antics since he loves their youthful innocence.
Name: Kumai (Koo-mai)
Species: Lion
Age: Adult, he is younger than his twin brother Songa (Age can vary in RPs)
Gender: Male
Description: While Kumai is also decently muscular like his older twin brother Songa, he is a bit slimmer and not as heavily built. Kumai's pelt is the color of a sweet, pale orange and his ruffled mane is the color of a metallic gold nugget. The tuft of fur at the end of his tail is also the same shade of gold as his mane. His mane is wavy like Songa's but a bit more straight. Kumai also has large paws and this can make them look a bit out of place on his trimmer body but they serve him well in battle and in hunting. Kumai has the same thick black eyebrows as Songa but they are more open, with no furrow between the brows. When he is concentrating the furrow appears however. He also has the same color sclera but his irises are a slightly darker shade of rust than his brother's, they are almost a red-brown. Kumai's underbelly, paws, and under eye shading are all a pale cream. His ears match Songa's and they both have the same upper eyes shading. Kumai also has good vision and hearing but he is much better with his sense of smell, making him a very good tracker.
Behavior: Kumai is serious like his brother but he is also a troublemaker and loves to play pranks. He can be impatient and a bit rash in his decision making. He is very sensible and lively with manners matching those of his brother. He is also more honest than Songa. He is usually in good humor but like his brother, he enjoys a fight. Kumai is more friendly than his brother and enjoys conversing with others but will sometimes disappear so he can be by himself. Kumai is also very playful and flirtatious but he usually won't make a move until he has seen a lioness's true colors in a battle. Kumai does not forgive as easily as Songa and can usually hold a grudge for a very long time. Kumai also loves cubs and will often take them on miniature hunting or scavenging trips to show them the land. He loves going "adventuring" with any cubs whatsoever and has sometimes thought of stealing one just to call his own. In the end, he means well but can also be persuaded by others opinions very easily. While Kumai and Songa are both very close they will sometimes separate to get some alone time.
History of Songa and Kumai: Raised in a small pride bordering a large lake, Songa and Kumai grew up to be very close since there were only a few other cubs their age in the pride. They had a very loving mother and father but their father died tragically at the jaws of a crocodile when they were adolescents. The few lionesses in their pride dispersed shortly after that and Songa, Kumai, and their mother, Panya, were left on their own. They wandered for a few more years until the brothers were fully grown and then Panya left them to join a nice, quiet pride made up of older lionesses to the south east. The brothers plan to settle their own pride and rule together after journeying across the land for a few years and finding the right spot for a new and growing kingdom. Then they will return to their mother and invite her to their pride where they will live in contentment for the rest of their days. (Or so they hope.)
In the picture below Songa (the older twin) is on the left and Kumai is on the right.
