Name: Shys
Age: adult - 3 years.
Species: mostly lion. Some leopard ancestry.
Appearance (Shys): green eyes. Very beautiful. Lean and muscular (for a female). Her coat is ALMOST magical: it has very faint leopard spots, and seems to take on the colours of whatever is around her, whether it be yellow or green grass, or brown dirt. Hence she is one of the most stealthy cats in existence. She's somewhere in between the height of a lioness and leopardess, and her tail is long and thick for balance when running.
Occupation: Rogue (previously hunter/infiltrator)
Personality: her leopard ancestry means she prefers to hunt alone. She is quiet, so what words she speaks tend to carry more weight. She never makes demands, but when someone disappoints her, it's hard to shake the feeling of dread.
History: Shys was a princess once, but refused to be married off and turned into some king's placid heir-producing queen. Having many children, her parents, the king and queen, allowed Shys to remain a hunter for their great pride. When the last Hunter Mistress died, Shys became the leader by default. Her fellow huntresses seem to bend over backwards to please her. To an outsider this may seem like baseless idolatry, but those that know her realise that she is a quiet leader who is quick to forgive, and slow to forget.
Now she's a rogue, with her sister, Shay. Their eldest brother killed their parents and assumed the throne. As heirs to the throne after their brother, they were likely targets for assassination. So Shys grabbed Shay and left, intending to use her little sister to topple her brother's reign by any means possible.

Species: lion with some leopard.
Age: young adult - 10 months.
Appearance: other than a very different body type, Shae could almost be Shys' twin, except that she's younger and smaller. She possesses the same colour-changing coat as Shys, and some would say it's even better-looking as it is more regularly groomed. Shae, however, is not a hunter, and is very fond of the food Shys can easily catch. Hence she has become a very round lioness. Her large ears frame a round face. Her brown eyes are large and expressive. Like her sister she has a long tail, but hers is thick and heavy. Due to her large belly, her limbs appear quite short - often when relaxing her toes can disappear underneath her paunch. Due to her limb's thickness and her breadth she tends to waddle around her large tummy, but has plenty of energy, and moves surprisingly fast when needed.
Personality: everything Shys is not: spontaneous, immature, carefree. Speaks her mind at the drop of a bone. Eager to gossip. Young romantic. Quick to forgive. Eager to please, though has a tendency to think the world revolves around her. She does tend to be nervous around strangers at first, but it doesn't take long to wear off.
History: Shay was always her sister's pet. Being the youngest of the royal family, Shys was largely left to her own devices and raised by the servants. Despite being a little self-centred and thinking (rightly) that everyone existed to serve her, she nevertheless possesses a broad kind streak and is able to sympathise with others. Shys noticed this early on and realised she made a better leader than most of their siblings. Hence she took Shae under her own wing, so to speak, though Shae would never be a hunter like Shys as though she was fast, she didn't have endurance. Instead, Shys encouraged Shay in queenly pursuits such as etiquette and diplomacy. Shae takes to these tasks very readily, and when encountering other travelers, Shys usually leaves the talking to her. In their native land a full-figured lioness is considered very beautiful, and would make Shae a very desirable partner. Hence rather than discouraging Shae's over eating Shys actively encourages it, forcing Shae to eat even when she doesn't want to.
