(( OOC: I was about to start this yesterday, but I forgot... Remember to Sign up your Character for this role play before you post. ^^ Have fun! )) The horizon was slowly turning red as the sun prepared to rise from its sleep. The fresh green grass on the savannah was filled with small waterdrops, sparkling in the little light that the moon and stars were still giving. Everything was peaceful, and the creatures of the night were slowly getting to their sleep as the day creatures were waking up. Early birds begun their songs, and a lonely white lioness stood on a flat stone, facing the majestic mountain that rose out of nowhere in the middle of the savannah. She looked agile, and her beautifully white fur shone just like the water drops in the grass. Suddenly, everything went quiet. The lioness' ears perked up and her tail stopped swaying from side to side. A nervous glow appeared to her blue eyes. Then the earth begun to shake. The lioness snarled as the shaking grew rapidly, throwing her off her feet into the wet grass. The waterdrops fell to the ground from the grass, birds rose up to air from their branches at the trees. And the lioness... She was facing the mountain, her eyes narrowed slightly. The earthquake went on and on, and it felt as if the time was moving slower during the earthquake. Then it begun to fade, and soon it was gone. The lioness laid on the ground for a while, her body feeling sore after all that shaking. She let out a sigh, streched herself slightly before she rose to her feet. These earthquakes had become more powerful after each day passing by, and Lumiar, the white lioness, knew what it meant. This mountain.. a volcano, in fact.. It was waking up. (( OOC: for now, Lumiar's wings are hidden, and that's why I didn't mention them at all. ))

A female feline crept through the tall grasses, her silver and black fur surprisngly hidding her very well. She felt the tremor through the ground and ignored it.She had felt these types of things many times before. She picked up her head and sniffed the air thoughtfully, and then tenesed as she smelt another feline.Lioness.She knew. it.She crept closer and closer towards the female and bowed her head as she appeared out of no where in front of the female on the boulder.
"Greetings....You Are..?"She remarked as she looked up at the other feline.
She had her claws drawn, which, were hidden because of the tall grass. She tilted her head as her form seemed relaxed, but was tensed enough to bring down a small baby elephant on her own.She bowed her head again respectfully at the snowy white fur on the other cat's form. She was curious and when that had happened she needed to know who or what she was curious about.

Lumiar let out a sigh as she turned her gaze away from the large mountain. The eruption was coming closer, she could sence it.. feel it. And yet there was nothing she could do about it. Not alone, she knew. Lumiar shook the water drops and dust away from her perfectly white fur, moving then her hairtuft away from her eyes. The white lioness was about to leave, when she suddenly heard a voice.
"Greetings....You Are..?"
Lumiar's triangular eyes shot wide open and she swirled around, only to see another feline, whose fur was silvery with black stipes. Lumiar let out a surprised hiss, but relaxed then after realizing this odd feline would do no harm to her.
With a slightly sad smile, the angelic lioness bowed her head at this other creature, whiping then her paw across her mouth and throat, as a sign of something...
Ironic. This lioness who sometimes was called "Angel" was mute, and she would never let a sound louder than a hiss or purr out of her mouth.

She nodded a bit with a smile.
"I Understand Perfectly....You Cannot Speak Correct?"She asked smiling sadly herself.
The tigress sheathed her claws and bowed her head understandigly and stepped closer and out of teh tall grasses. She sat down in the sight of the angelic like female and ;icked her paw and groomed her head like a domestic house cat.She finished and waited for the reply of the 'angel' feline.

"I Understand Perfectly....You Cannot Speak Correct?"
Lumiar nodded, sighing again. She turned her blue eyes away from the other feline, looking at the horizon and seeing how bright it had turned. The sun rose, sending its warming rays across the savannah. Soon, the slight chill of the night would be gone as the heat of the day was coming.
Lumiar looked at the other feline again, tilting her head slightly. She would not start a conversation, that was sure. So what exactly should Lumiar do with her...? The pure white lioness turned around and begun to walk, stopping after a while to look back at the other feline. She motioned with her head, as if telling her to follow. Taking another step forward and stopping again, Lumiar looked at the other one, wishing she'd understand and come with her. She wanted company, for her muteness made her feel very lonely.

She nodded and stood up.She padded over to the white female and smiled a bit.Her form stood larger the snowy white lioness's as she walked next to her.She looked up at the horizon, knowing that it would be daylight soon. She shook her head and continiued walking.
The silence was fine with her she had no care if it was quiet. She had lived with silence almost all her life. She continiued walking, her tail moving slowly from side to side.

Moonlight stopped abruptly. Something was wrong. The ground trembled under her cream paws. Her sapphire eyes widened as the tremor grew in strength. She glanced around suspiciously, before her gaze rested on the colossal mountain to her left. Sighing, Moonlight hoped this tremor wouldn't lead to a fullblown earthquake - or worse. The last pride she stayed with had told her about the recent earthquakes around here, before she left.
Suddenly, a movement on the savannah between Moonlight and the mountain caught her eye. A white lioness and a silver and black... tiger? Narrowing her eyes, Moonlight hesitated. She hadn't seen any felines in the last few weeks and she was beginning to miss her own kind - hunting alone was so hard. Staying with other felines for a few days wasn't a bad idea. The pale golden lioness made her way towards them, proud yet poised for danger.

The feline stopped suddenly, raised her head, and tested the air.She smelt another wild cat.She unsheathed her claws and looked around.
"Be careful...Another is Here..."She replied quietly as she continiued to walk seeming as if she had just taken a deep breath of the morning air.
She continiued on, her eyes going back and forth on both sides as she followed after the snowy lioness. She knew someone was following them, and she was ready for anything. She needed to know if it was Friend or Foe...

The sun was riseing over the savannah casting it's warm light over the shurb forest, the rustle of leaves gave away the shape of two creatures walking down the leaf litter path through the shrub forest, "...the elder's are just worried Altaïr. None of them can recall the last time the mountain spoke!" a rough voice sounded, and the two shapes stepped out from the forest shadows halting on the edge of a cliff, overlooking the forest below and the savannah beyond it.
They where both feline, winged lions; one of them was mostly dark brown in fur and had only one black wing, while the other was mellow brown color, and had grey white wings, with blood red markings. "Personally I don't care about anicent prophecies.." the white winged lion answered with a slight sound of irritation.
The white winged feline seemed to be the younger one of the two felines, they both had their gaze towards the mountain in the distance. "You know well to respect the elders Altaïr, their knowledge should not be doubted!" Haya said, his voice now carrying a grave undertone, narrowing his eyes at the younger male.
The white winged feline unsheated his claws, rather thick black claws similar to talons, "The elders have a task for you.." the dark lion said, eyeing the white winged feline named Altaïr, in particularly his unsheeted claws. "What do they request!?" Altaïr responded with a slight strain in his voice keeping his gaze at the mountain in the distance.
"They want you to investigate why the mountain is uneasy, what causes it, what it means, and how to stop it! If it's no natural event, see to that those responsable are removed!" Haida said pauseing through a sigh, "The elders won't tolerate a second failure, remember that!" Haya added with a stern voice, before the dark feline turned away and disappeard back into the shrub forest.
Leaving Altaïr alone on the outcrop, "No sir!" the assassin whispered before he spread his large wings, and jumped off the cliff then flew in the direction of the savannah, just over the tree tops. Altaïr was a silent flyer, no sound was hear of his wingbeats, it was all just perfect silence.
The young lion kept a close watch on the ground as he came out over the savannah, he knew most of the creatures gatherd here, despite the fact that they where easier to see, the male's main priority now was to look for anything of suspicious nature.

The voice of this odd tiger caught Lumiar's attention. The pure white lioness glanced at her newly found companion from her eyecorner. It was clear she had heard the tiger's words, yet she did nothing else than the small glance to show that.
Lumiar wasn't afraid. She had her own ways to defend herself. And if that wasn't enough, she could always escape on a way that no one could follow her. Or so she thought, atleast. Lumiar had never seen others like her...
She sighed, again. Recently she had become extremely worried. Not of herself, but of all the creatures living around on these lands. She looked at the mountain, the waking volcano... It didn't look like a volcano, really. Over the years it had transformed into something that looked very harmless. A pile of rocks.
Movement nearby caught Lumiar's attention. She stopped on her tracks, letting out a slight hiss. The angelic lioness saw what was following her and her companion. A golden lioness, unknown to Lumiar. Her hissing became slightly louder, and for a brief moment it seemed as if the air she was blowing out of her mouth was frosty. But only briefly, and so it could have been thought to be just a trick of imagination or the lighting the rising sun gave.

The feline growled lowly in her throat as a way of knowing that she saw the glance. She keptpace with her new friend and walked even quieter, silently. She sighed with a smile and looked over to her traveling companion.
"Are You Hungry? We Might Need To Eat Something Now So We Are Not Tired Later...."She replied quietly, as if she had a plan in mind.
She walked a bit more and sat down in the grass a bit farther ahead in the grass, and looked up toward the rising sun to wait for the awnser. She was patient like most, but sometimes patience was not a virtue with her.

The young assassin had been on the wing for almost two hours now, scouring the savannah below, conserving enegry on the warm up-drifts caused by the steadily riseing sun. He could be circling like this all day long, but right now he has business to attend to, so there will be no time for fun and games. Atleast that is the idea, but the steady rumbling of his stomach keeps throwing the young assassin out of focus.
The things on the ground almost 50 meters below him would look like only small black specks, had it not been for the fact that to Altaïr they may look as close as if he was standing right next to them, he can litterally zoom his vision in and out.
This zooming is visible in his eyes, the bigger the pupil, the further in he zooms. However the constant rumbling and sickly feeling in his stomach made the assassin unable to keep the focus for long. He needed food, anything really! The winged assassin turn his gaze from the ground and too the horizon, there gotta be aleast some food out there; it isn't long untill Altaïr spots a potenticial prey; a small gazelle calf, is quietly grazing on the outskirts of a herd. "Perfect!" the assassin mutter to himself before he soares in the direction of the herd, slowing gathering speed. Sensing danger, the gazelles snort the warning and complete chaos assume.
The animals panick not knowing where the danger comes from, the calf gets seperated from the herd in the confustion. But before it can bellow a call for it's mom, death hit's it at a speed of over 100 km/h. The calf hang now limply in Altaïr's forpaws, the assassins' claws buried in it's back.
The hunt would have been clearly visible to anyone of the air as well as land, the winged lion had preformed a falcon's dive thus gained enough speed to kill the prey on impact. The winged male now dropped the cropse into the grass, and touched down just a few moments later, settling down and contendly feasting on his meal.

The sun's rays warmed Moonlight's back, though not offering her much comfort. Her anxiety was gaining with every step she took towards the two cats in the distance. For all she knew, these cats could be trained killers, luring her into a trap... Shivering slightly in the sun, she persisted nonetheless. Her urge to enjoy the company of another was too powerful.
As she walked, her step purposeful, she saw the white lion stop and look round. Moonlight stiffened. She waited a moment, then saw the other feline sit down a few paces away from the first. They clearly knew she was there - perhaps they were even waiting for her to catch up with them - so she continued towards them. She prayed the others would accept her. All she wanted was acceptance.

The feline was still waiting until the scent of the other stranger came to her nose. She turned her head into the direction and saw the lioness not far from where they were standing. She bowed her head respectfully and let the strange cat come closer.
"Greetings...You Are?"She asked the newcomer, curiously.

Just a few more seconds...
Low in the grasses of the savannah, a greyish-brown feline was lurking. One emerald eye peered through the blades of green, a herd of gazelle in her sight. Muscles tensed, she had her eye set on a young one, just enough to make a meal for herself. Steady now, Lor... she thought to herself. She was just about to leap into action.
She was too late; someone had beaten her. With the gazelle spooked suddenly, she stood up quickly, the rushing gazelle passing her by...yet she didn't seem to notice. Her eyes were on the winged lion who had claimed her prey. She had watched him swoop down and snatch the baby...had seen him moving in the air. Sure, she had seen strange things before in her life...had DONE strange things herself.
But she had never seen a winged lion before.
She didn't know what to do. She was a bit frightened, especially at the lion's size. Being a smaller sized lioness, most others were larger than herself. She was a bit angry at her loss of food, her stomach giving a slight growl to prove that, but she wasn't angry enough to voice her opinion. She didn't know if she should stay and learn more or head tail and get the heck out of there. Slowly, she started for the latter of the two choices. Backing away slowly, she hoped that she wouldn't be noticed...until she snapped a twig. Darn you and your clutzy ways... she thought as she winced, knowing that her presence would be made known of now.

Lumiar turned her head from the golden lioness into her odd looking feline companion. Hungry...? The white lioness shook her head slightly, turning her head to look at the golden lioness again. How she would have wanted to reply, use words to speak out her thoughts...
But she didn't. Couldn't.
The golden lioness was closer now, and Lumiar's companion greeted the lioness. Flattening her ears, Lumiar just nodded a small greeting.
A faint rumble made the angelic lioness perk her ears up and turn to look over her shoulder at the huge mountain. Her triangular eyes narrowed, for the noise was not caused by another earthquake. What...? A dust cloud. Lumiar hissed. It was just a pack of gazelles. The white lioness rolled her eyes, and almost turned her head to look at the unknown lioness again, when a black figure dived down from the sky, straight into the dust cloud where the gazelles were.
The pure white lioness gasped in a shock, her blue eyes wide open. Had her mind played tricks with her? There was no way that sopmething as big as that was flying... Or was there? Nervously, Lumiar looked at her companion, then at the unknown lioness. She made out a hissing noise, to inform she was leaving. A quick smile at the two... She would have been most glad if they joined her.
But she did not wait for an answer as she already begun to trot, heading to the direction where the gazelles had been a moment ago.

A red-maned lion was ambling through the fields of the savannah and then saw something big in the sky. He thought nothing of it since there usually were big birds flying about through these parts. Although, when he took a second glance at it, the shadow that was in the sky appeared not to be in the shape of a regular bird. It actually in fact looked like a... lion?
When the 'lion' flew over his head, he ducked in case something happened and a relfex took over to protect himself. When he thought the lion had flew over him and cleared away, he took a deep breath and raised himself up and stood. But, he felt vibrations in the ground and perked his ears to hear what was around. And soon enough, he saw a stampeding herd of gazelle heading his way. With that said, he looked ahead and then concentrated his energy quickly in order to actually produce something that he had just learned how to do. A copy of himself that was lit with fire illuminated when he stepped out of his original place and flares shot out of the firelion's body to signal that the gazelles should back off. And so they did, the herd getting frightened at the sight and turning around to go back with a little bit more haste.
The lion stomped the ground and made the firelion pop out of thin air, sighing heavily and shaking his mane. "Close one.."

The assassin had just begun digging into the stomach of the corpse when a snap of a twig made him raise his head quickly gazing at the savannah before him. Altaïr's noserills flared, aside from the strong smell of blood there was another more distinct smell lingering in the air; That of another feline, the assassin narrowed his eyes and peerd in through the grasses only to see the sillouetted shadow just a couple of meters from him.
The male's ears flattend against his skull, he kept his wings folded gently on his back; there was no need for an aggressive display, this feline was considerably smaller than him. "Can you stop spying on me?!" the male called out towards the shadowed sillouette, his voice was a young yet had a hint of maturity lineing it. The male was now standing, with the ripped gazelle carcass protectivly between his forpaws.
The assassin's attention was diverted away quickly as the sound of running paws carried through the tall grasses. Altaïr perked his ears and narrowed his eyes, keeping his gaze both on the sillouetted shadow and as well as the direction of the sound, this made the young assassin quite tense; the danger of someone planning to steal his prey, seemed very real.

She nodded toward her new friend and followed after quickly. She stopped and turned back to look at the golden lioness.
"You Can Follow Us...She Wants To Check Something Out....Hurry or You'll Be Left Behind...."she yelled bacck following after.
She looked over at the where her companion was staring. She tilted her head a bit while running and saw a winged lion come across the horizon. She was surprised to see someone that actually had wings! She hurried on past her friend not seeming to see her as she hurried on.She came closer and closer. She stopped when she saw the creature with wings feasting upon a small baby gazelle.
"Hello...Who Are You...?"She asked catiously, her voice a murmer as she sat at a respectable feet away.
She saw that the male lion was tense and was very protective of his catch. She kne that the lion would attack if they were not careful. She ignored the scent of another feline not far from them. She pulled her ears back just in case and waited patiently for his awnser, her claws out and ready just in case if something happened where she needed to fight.

Lorien's ears flattened a little as he addressed her. "I'm not spying..." she murmed to herself, raising her height to it's fullness, no longer trying to sneak away. Her presence was known whether she liked it or not, no use trying to hide anymore. She took a step toward the male, yet seeing how tense he was, she took the step back. She looked him over, a quizical look playing upon her face. Those wings were amazing! She had never seen anything like it, and without thinking, she began to walk closer for a better look.
Yet before she could move too close, several things happened at once. A white tiger came into the area, speaking to the male, and as she looked in the direction of the new feline, she saw another two a ways behind. One of them was all white with long flowing hair, and this made Lorien smile slightly. Her smile soon retracted from her face when she felt a slight tremble on the ground. Spinning around to look behind her, she saw a cloud of dust and the herd of gazelles trampling back toward them. What made them change their direction?!? she thought, but quickly made the thoughts leave her mind as they were quickly gaining ground, heading right toward them all. Ducking quickly as they approached, she hid in the tall grasses once again, covering her head with her paws and concentrating hard. If it weren't for a certain ability, she would have been trampled, yet the hooves went right through her body as if she hadn't even been there. She just hoped the others would be able to fare well as well.

Before she even got an awnser, the tigress felt the ground rumble. She looked around, the rumble close and slightly smaller then before. She saw the female cat move down right in the path of the gazzele. She growled and looked over at her new companion. She sighed and closed her eyes concentrating. All of a sudden and ice like barrier formed inbetween the male lion, her, her frined and comapanion and the strange new cat that had ducked. The wall had frightened the gazzle down and made them turn direction. She sighed happily and tiredly. She liad down, not caring if her gaurd was down and she was free to be attacked. The wall that reached 12 feet in highth was an amazing sight, it glittering in the sun.

Moonlight didn't have a chance to introduce herself to the silver and black tiger and the white lioness, for they both began to run away across the savannah. When the tigress called for her to follow them, she did just that, loping easily after them. She had seen the winged lion swoop down to earth and she, too, was curious.
When they reached the winged lion and the gazelle he had caught, Moonlight saw another feline nearby and she bridled a little. She didn't like large groups - especially groups which consisted of creatures as odd as these. She hung back from the rest, watching the goings-on intently.
Suddenly, the herd of gazelle came galloping back towards them. Moonlight hissed and turned to sprint to safety - but there was no need. The silver and black tigress had conjured up a barrier of some sort between the felines and gazelle, protecting them from harm. Amazed, Moonlight stared at her. First, a winged lion... now a tigress who could make a wall of ice! She had never known other felines with abilities like hers... She felt a surge of joy.
She wasn't alone.

She moved her head around checking to make sure everyone was alright. She saw the golden lioness pulled back away from the group and she saw in the lioness's eye's light up in joy.She tilted her head and shook it.She walked very slowly toward the lioness, seeming to ignore everything else. She looked at her confused and waved her tail in front of her muzzle to make sure she was still breathing.
"Are You Alright...Have You Gone In Shock because of that small stampede?"She asked playfully, tiredness seeping into her voice, clearly heard.

Lumiar kept going forward, still not completely believing what she had seen dive down from the sky. Her tiger companion was faster, and so seemed to be the newly met golden lioness. Lumiar didn't know their names, for there hadn't been any introducing yet.
When the angelic lioness finally saw the lion with wings, she froze, her triangular eyes wide open in pure shock. She ignored what was happening. She didn't notice the smaller female feline, who was hiding in the grass, and she didn't even notice the ice barrier forming when the gazelles ran towards them. Her shock... Confusement... It was clearly visible in her eyes.
But yet... the same kind of curiosity (or amazement) that the others had in their eyes... It was missing. It was as if seeing a winged lion was normal to her, but still as if she hadn't expected to actually see one.
Lumiar stared, and it seemed she could not turn her eyes away from the winged lion who appeared to be protecting his prey.

The winged lion didn't get much time to answere any of the questions, even if he really didn't want to, the gazelle herd from earlier seemed to have turned on their heels and headed back towards the group.
The instinctiv thought of taking off to get away from the stampedeing herd was quickly subduded as one of the felines; The striped cat had conjured a barrier of ice between them and the gazelles, causing the hoofed creatures to scatter out in all directions before the disppeard into the tall grasses.
Altaïr shook his mane free of dust and trailed his gaze over all that had gatherd before him, to his suprise they where all females, but reguardless they wouldn't get /his/ prey. The young assassin's gaze landed at the white lioness, who seemed to acctually be stareing at him.
"What are you looking at?!" Altaïr asked narrowing his brows at the female before him, she seemed captivated by him almost, she stared at him and he didn't keep his eyes off her, though he kept his other senses alert on the creatures surrounding them.
The male spread his grey white wings, they looked almost angelic atleast in size. But these wings had a grim story to tell; they where smudged with dirt and dust, and where quite scruffy looking, ontop of this the wings seemed to be coverd with faint brown marks some criss-crossing the wings, and some marks looked like irregular splotches.
Most of the marks where faint and light brown in texture and could be mistaken for dried mud, but other marks where darker, a very deep red; this lions wings where coverd with stains dry of blood.
Altaïr didn't spill much blood while hunting, the only parts of him that could bloodied in hunts was his muzzle and forpaws, never his wings. So where did the blood come from? His profession might give a clue.

All the time keeping a wary eye on the other felines, Moonlight laughed softly at the unusual tigress.
"No, I'm not in shock, I just... well, I've never met another... special creature before. You see, I -"
She caught herself. She had never met this tigress before in her life, and she was just going to tell her all about her powers? This was so out of the ordinary for Moonlight - usually, she was so careful to never reveal her abilities to anyone. Don't trust anyone. It was one of the most important things she had ever learnt. However, this situation was out of the ordinary, too. Maybe she should make an exception? The tiger didn't seem to pose any threat to her. She breathed in deeply, then took the plunge.
"I have... special abilities. Like you. And I guess the winged lion has abilities too." A thought struck her. "Do all of you have special abilities?"
She indicated the other felines gathered around - the white lioness and the winged lion who seemed to be in some kind of confrontation, and the small grey-brown lioness crouching in the grass. What a strange bunch they were...

She smiled joyfully and laughed. She sat down and looked at the golden lioness.
"What Powers Do You Hold?"She asked quietly, wondering clearly about this strange feline's powers...just like hers.
She waited patiently as one of her ears pulled back to also listen to the male lion.

Lorien's eyes had been clenched shut, awaiting the sound of hooves fall around her body...but they never came. Slowly, she opened her eyes again, taking her paws from the top of her head. As she peered out through the grass, she witnessed a huge monolith of ice right in front of her and quickly jumped back, the hairs on her back standing on end. It wasn't every day that you see a giant pillar of ice in the savannah sun. Unfortunately for her, she jumped right into the same space that the male winged lion was occupying, bumping right into him. Her eyes went wide as she quickly turned around.
"I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to..." But then she finally picked up on the conversation that was being held between the tigress and golden lioness. Special abilities? She couldn't believe what she was hearing. So there were others...
Well, obviosly there were, seeing as how a block of ice appeared out of nowhere and a lion had wings like a bird. So she wasn't unique after all...Lorien lowered her ears a bit, continuing to listen to what was being said but too afraid to actually voice her own amusement.

The lion was all but happy now as he was content with what he had just accomplished. Being able to control and do the things he did certainly gave a light spring in his step.
When his eyes caught the tip of what looked to be a wall of ice, he was definitely blown out of the water with confusion. A wall of ice in this heat is certainly not even possible. He decided to go check it out because one, he had nothing to do that moment and second, a phenomenon had just occurred right in front of his eyes. He wasn't gonna pass this up.. He thought this to himself as he started walking over to them.

Lumiar flattened her ears slightly. The winged lion didn't seem happy that she was staring at him. But she said nothing, a pure impossibility to her. But as the lion spread his wings, the lioness seemed to become only more interested. The wings were feathery. They could have been a magnificent sight, if they only had been clean. The faint stains of brownish red...
Blood?
The angelic lioness startled, taking a step backwards before she could gain control of her movements again. What was the story of that winged lion...?
"Do all of you have special abilities?"
Lumiar's triangular eyes widened and finally she was able to move her gaze away from the winged lion. She stared at the golden lioness, examining her from head to tail. Had the question been just pure curiosity, or was there something else...?
Never show your power.
Lumiar didn't know where she had heard that from, but she had stuck with it for a long time. She had abilities of her own, yes... But it was wiser not to inform them aloud to some group of felines who were complete strangers. She hadn't even heard their names, just like they would not hear hers.
