Zander looked over at Meri. This was the first time he heard her speak, and this made him smile despite the pain in his head. "It's a pleasure to finally hear you speak, Meri." He then looked to the ground and sighed. "Yet talking about what one does not know much about proves quite difficult." He took another deep breath. Was he really going to tell them what he had been seeing? Was he going to ask for their help? The violet eyes flashed in his mind at that moment. You know what you have to do, Zander... He nodded to himself. He had to do it, had to tell them.
Zander looked up at the group. He looked up at the new friends he had acquired. "I have been having these visions about my past...and about my future." He looked to the ground once again, not able to think while he saw their eyes on him. "The past I had forgotten since the attack is coming back to me in painful fits, emotionally and physically." Closing his eyes, he continued. "I watched in my own mind as my father murdered my mother. I have also been..." He looked up and this time he focused on Meri. "There's a lion that is telling me what to do. I have to find him...but I will need help..." He did it. Although he didn't go into as much detail as he could have, he got it out there what had been on his mind these past few hours.

Meri smiled faintly as Zander finished speaking.
"Visions from past and future..." she muttered quietly to herself. Something about it sounded familiar. She thought for a moment.
And she remembered. Long ago there had been an old lioness in her pride, when Meri herself had been just a cub. She had been told to keep away from the lioness, since the others thought she was crazy or something. But the lioness had actually saved Meri's life once, when she had got lost. After that the lioness had told her she had these... Feelings when someone was in danger and knew exactly where to find them.
Meri sighed and shook her head. The lioness had died shortly after she had saved Meri.

Bahreeka jumped up as she heard a roar. She forgot all about her brother and sat back down again after Fire and Zanders short conversation about him having visions again. "He does this alot doesn't he?" She asked Fire.
He then told them all about what he was having visions about. Bahreeka found it weird at first but then understood. "Soo.. you want us to help you find this lion?" She asked a bit confused.
"So, what do we have to do to find him? Go on a journey of some sort?"

Zander looked up at Bahreeka and nodded. "Yes, the lion in my visions said that I would need help....on the journey that I must take." He sighed and looked to the fire once again. "I hate asking you all for your assistance, because I know that it is going to be a dangerous journey. I don't want to risk your lives for the sake of my past..."

Meri lifted her head and looked at Zander. She thought for a moment before starting to speak.
"I'll come" she said quietly.
Meri wasn't sure how she would be able to help him. If the journey was going to be dangerous, there propably would be fights or something. And she well knew she wasn't a fighter, not at all.
But she still had decited to go with the others. She didn't want to leave them ad be alone again, escaping from her former pride if they came looking for her.

Fire listens intently to Zander's request. The fire-maned lion thought from a moment and then spoke his answer. "I will come, Zander. It sounds like you're going to need some help... And with Meri coming along, it looks like you're gonna need three, since three's a crowd... And a crowd sounds bigger." He smiles after his comment.

Bahreeka got excited at the thought of an adventure. "OOH! yay yes totally count me in!!" She said waving her paws about in the air. "So do you exactly where we are headed?" She asked still excited. "Or when we will leave?"
Amaiza laughed as Bahreeka asked zander random questions about the trip. Anyone could tell the cheetah liked adventures. "I'm in.." She said still giggling a bit to herself.

Fire smiled as everyone was joining in on the adventure. Although... It really couldn't be called an adventure since adventures or journeys usually don't have a purpose... This particular one did. So, it could be called... dare he say it... a "quest". He looks over to the hyper-active Bahreeka and then smiled at Amaiza. "Boy, she's gonna be a pawful, I can already tell." He giggled a little after his comment.

Zander smiled as one by one, the friends he had recently acquired agreed to help him. He stood up and bowed low to the ground, showing his appreciation. "..Thank you...all. I couldn't do this without you guys..." He sat down once again, his blue eyes looking over each of them. "In my visions...or whatever they are, the lion I'm suppossed to find said that we need to go through the grasslands and head toward the mountains. I think perhaps we should stay here for the night and rest and leave in the morning." He was surprised at himself taking leadership like this. Was this a new trait, or did it come natural and he didn't know it? Too late to think about it now, Zander looked around at the others to see if they gave approval to his plan.

"Ok... Sounds like a good idea" Meri whispered and then turned to look at the fire again. She felt a bit excited about this 'trip' they were going to have. But because she had learned to not show her feelings that much, she just continued to stare at the flames. She yawned slightly.
"Good night everyone" Meri whispered and placed her head down. She closed her eyes and it didn't take her long to fall asleep.

Bahreeka stopped prancing around and stared at Zander in awe. "So you mean.. I have to wait until the morning? And you expect me to go to sleep excited?" Bahreeka looked at Zander like he was crazy.
"I suppose i can manage. I'll be back!" Bahreeka ran away from the group and did a couple of laps of a big grassy area.( the same area where she had earlier looked for her brother.) Then came running back to the group and lay down on a nearby rock. "Sorry, had to try and use up some of my energy." She said and smiled.

"That's sounds like a good plan. And we'll leave early too, since it'll be hard travelling in the middle of the day. That sun is deadly in the afternoon. If we do leave early, it'll give us plenty of time to find a place to have shade when we do rest or sleep for the night."
Fire looked over to the hyperactive Bahreeka, watching her dash out onto the field and running at a speed wthat made Fire's head spin. "Oh boy... I guess i'll be keeping a definite eye on her..." Fire smiled widely as he said this.

Zander nodded to Fire, agreeing with his plan for the next day. He settled himself next to the now partially dying fire and layed his head on his paws. Closing his eyes, he quickly drifted off to sleep, the sounds of the crackling fire lulling him to that goal.

Bahreeka yawned and opened her eyes. "YAY!!!!!!!!" she yelled out. She then put a paw up to her mouth realizing she had woken the rest of the group. "Urgh, sorry guys!" She said scratching her head.

Meri opened her eyes when she heard Bahreeka shouting. She had been awake for some time, but hadn't felt like opening her eyes and such.
She lifted her head up and looked at Bahreeka. With a slight smile she greeted the cheetah with a slight nod, then standing up and walking outside towards the waterhole. When she reached it she took a drink. Her long blue hair touched the water. Meri looked at her reflection.
My left eye has turned lighter... she thought sadly. With this speed it will be white after some time. I just hope it won't go to the same point as my right eye...
Meri sat down and looked around. The morning sun had just rised. Meri took a dee breath and closed her eyes for a moment, shaking the thought of her eyes away from her mind.

Zander woke as well from Bahreeka's shouting, but did not immideatly get up. Laying there for a few minutes by the remains of the fire, Zander slowly woke himself up mentally. When enough time had passed, he finally got himself to rise to his feet. He stretched his front two legs out in front of him and yawned rather largely. He then stood to his full height and looked around the lands. Spotting Meri at the waterhole, he decided to join her for a quick morning refreshment. So, he too walked to the small waterhole and bent down and lapped up the cool water. He then looked over at Meri with a gentle smile as he sat upon his muscular haunches.
"I want to thank you. For going with me on my...well, for joining me." He looked down at the water. "It really means a lot to me..."

"It is a great pleasure to come with you" she finally said and opened her eyes, turning to look at Zander.
"I may be not much use when it comes to fighting and such, but..." she shrugged. "I still want to come."
After saying this Meri turned to look at the waterhole. She couldn't help but to stare at her reflection, noticing she was thinking of how she got her scar.
Meri let out a slight sigh.

Fire shot his eyes when Bahreeka jumped and yelled for joy, stretching out after he awoke himself and then turned to the energetic cheetah. "Heh heh. No need to apologize... I was going to wake up a little later aaand..." He looks outside and sees that the sun had barely risen over the horizion, smiling widely and turned to Bahreeka. "This is about the time that we should be getting up at..."
Fire laughed happily and then turned to Amaiza, nuzzling her neck lightly to gently wake her up, purring softly as he does this. "You ready for a big day?..."

Zander smiled and looked toward their destination: the grand mountains in the distance, the grasslands awaiting them. As he spoke, he portrayed a very solemn countanance. "I don't expect any of you to fight. This is my story, my past that I must deal with." He then looked back towards Meri, a slight smile on his face. "I need you guys for support..to keep me going." He sighed as he looked down into the water, his reflection staring back up at him. With this new view, he could see all of the gashes and cuts strewn about his body. He didn't know who did this to him, but he had a pretty good idea now. It was linked to his visions, he just knew it.

Bahreeka giggles slightly then ran around in some circles. "When do we leave?"
Amaiza yawned and opened her eyes as she felt someone nuzzle her. She then heard Fire's voice.
"Okay, okay i'm up i'm up!" She said and smiled. She got up to see Bahreeka running around in circles.
"I take it she's been up for a while." She said to Fire.

He laughed as he watched Bahreeka run in circles, turning to Amaiza and smiling. "Heh heh. I would think so, considering that she was the one that woke us up..." He smiles and nuzzles his nose under Amaiza's neck friendly, purring softly again as he does so and looks around the cave.

Bahreeka pounced around the others. "Can we go now? can we can we?"

He laughs even more when Bahreeka was desperate to go, turning over to Zander. "I think we should head out now. The sun is starting to rise and 'Bouncy' here's pretty excited.. Can't keep her waiting." By "Bouncy", he was referring to Bahreeka.

Zander snapped out of his thoughts as Fire adressed him. He looked up, his blue eyes narrowing as his lips formed a slight smile. "Yes, let's go." He stood up and looked to the mountains once again. "In my visions, the lion said to go across the grasslands and toward the mountains. This will be our first destination..." He then looked to the group, the look on his face a bit worried. "Are you all sure you want to go through with this? It might get dangerous after all. I wouldn't want you to get hurt on account of me."

"Hmmm... Well... Considering the fact that Amaiza and I go out everyday and hunt by ourselves, risking our lives and risk getting stomped on or killed by other predators... This sounds like the kinda thing I would do..." Fire smiles lightly at Zander, then at Amaiza

When Zander asked if they were sure that they wanted to go with him, Meri just nodded. Her old habit of not speaking ver often was taking the control again, even though she had been speaking to them before.
But in this case, Meri felt she didn't have to speak. After all she had already promised to Zander that she was going. And Meri would never break a promise.

He was imitating Bahreeka's bounciness, jumping around her and giggling loudly as he says. "Yes! Yes! Let's go!!" With that, he reached a paw out to touch Bahreeka, running away from her as fast as he could before shouting, "YOU'RE IT!! COME ON, AMAIZA! JOIN IN!"

Amaiza laughed as she sat there and watched Fire imitating Bahreeka.
Bahreeka stared at fire amused. as he tagged her and ran off she sprinted off after him. she zommed past him and tagged him with her tail. "not anymore!! " she then ran back in the direction she had com from.

Without even have to look, Fire skidded to a halt and saw Bahreeka streak past him, just getting his chest with her tail and even before Fire had a chance to turn his head around, Bahreeka was sprinting back. His eyes were the size of golf balls by the time Fire turned his head around. He shouts out to the group from where he sat. "Ok!... That is the LAST time I play tag with a cheetah.. They're waaay too fast!!... Especially Bahreeka!!!!"
