A Shadowed Past

[Fire]

Fire nuzzled back within Amaiza's nuzzle and smiled in return.

Fire smiled a little. "Man, and I thought I had problems when I couldn't even remember where I put my meal last..." He laughed to ease the tension between the group, seeing as how it didn't look good for Zander from his perspective.

"I wish that we could help you in some way..."

[Deleted]

Amaiza smiled as Fire nuzzled her back, then turned back to Zander.
"Well, how about I go and find a big leaf or something to put around Zander's head to stop the blood?" She asked the others.

[Fire]

Fire nods to Amaiza as she mentions a good idea.

"That sounds good. Isiro and I will keep a watch out for anyone that might try to come back."

[Deleted]

Amaiza nodded in reply and wondered off to find something ideal for a bandage. She came to a deep water hole with reeds sticking up from the water. One of the reed leaves would be perfect!
She ran in the water and swam to the longest leaf. She ripped it off and ran back to the others and put the lead on the ground infront of them.
"Is this alright?"

[Fire]

Fire sees Amaiza coming with a leaf in her mouth, a smile forming on his muzzle as she comes closer to the group.

"Thank you, Amaiza. It is good enough for now.."

He picked the leaf up carefully with his teeth and placed in carefully on Zander's head wound, trying not to hurt him as much as he could by pressing it against the wound, the leaf turning a darker green than it was before because of the blood.

[Lorien]

Zander winced a bit at the applied pressure, but was soon used to the added pain. He smiled and nodded to Fire as if saying his thanks.

:So what shall we do next?"

[Fire]

Fire looked around and then shrugged his shoudlers a bit.

"I don't know... There is not much to do around here, actually"

Fire laughed a little at the comment he made.

[Lorien]

Just then, as Zander listened to the answer that he got from Fire, he winced has harsh pain went through his head. He roared, but couldn't see anything in front of him or around him. All he could see were slight glimpses of a huge lion, black in color, pacing around him. He then saw motions as he fell to the ground in his mind. Another instant and he was looking at a lion and a lioness with a cub wrapped in her arms as she lay on the ground. He recognized the cub to be himself. Then, everything went black as he heard roars and the screams of his mother...then the blackness slowly faded to white...and then to his actual surroundings. His body then collapsed, fatigue of the wounds settling in again. His eyes slightly opened, he looked up at the sky...

"Mother..."

Amaiza gasped as Zander collapsed.
Then he opened his eyes and looked up at the sky, while saying. "Mother"
"I don't see another lioness around..." Amaiza looked around.
"Unless of course you're calling me your mother?" She said then chuckled a bit then returned to Zander. " Are you ok? What just happened anyway?"

[Prince of Pridelands]

Isro, being naturally reserved, stayed silent and watched the group help Zander some more. He did assist in watching over him when Amaiza left to find a leaf. As zander saw the vision, Isiro twiched a bit as well as he felt as if something passed through his mind. He did see something, but he didn't know who it was except that it was 2 lions next to each other with one of the lions holding in its arms.
He came back to reality as he saw Zander collapse and then heard him mutter the word 'mother'. He didn't understand any of this yet, but he could feel something was wrong. He went to assist Zander and tried nudging him up.

[Fire]

Fire then felt an intense, sharp pain in his head. He had no idea why, but then he growled a bit as he saw a vision of two lion holding each, as if in an embrace. When the vision disappeared, he saw Zander collapse to the ground and then rushed over to help him. When he did, he heard him mutter the words "Mother". He found that odd as he was leaning down to pick him up by the nape of his neck, putting his head under Zander's neck. He was careful not to hurt him by throwing him onto his back and then looked at the other two.

"He needs rest. Amaiza, I can't see very well as to where our place is. Can you lead us home?"

[Lorien]

Zander could feel the nudging and could hear the words, but he couldn't acknolege them. His body was getting to be too weak from his blood loss. He then felt himself being lifted up onto someone's back. Rest...that sounds nice... he thought in the back of his mind as he heard Fire's words. He tried to open his eyes, and it worked...barely. He could see blurs all around him, blotchy images of his newly aquired 'friends' as he considered them. He didn't know if they felt the same. In his mind, he smiled, but it did not follow his bodily actions. His body, for some reason, did not want to respond.

Amaiza nodded and sniffed the air trying to remember the way her and Fire had come. She then started running off in the direction fo their home. She ran up a hill and past some tree's. She then came to a big tree with a cave and small waterhole. At the side of the cave where some rocks that lead ontop of the cave. ontop of the cave was another rock. Amaiza jumped on this rock then up into the tree. The tree was like a big floor with brances sticking out of ti for the walls.
She looked out of a gap in the brances and saw the others following her trail.

[Fire]

Fire followed Amaiza's trail, his legs starting to tire after he got over the hill that Amaiza walked along. He tried talking to Zander in hopes of taking his mind off his legs burning and the recent events.

"Wow! What have you been eatin'? You weigh at least 2 boulders!... Sheesh... Well, all that muscle on your body doesn't help my problem..." He chuckles to himself after he says this and then adjusted Zander's weight on his shoudlers, continuing to walk after he did this.

After a few mintues walking , he came to the waterhole and cave and set Zander down onto the ground carefully. He shouted up to Amaiza in the tree.

"I neeed a break. I can't carry this big elephant for much longer if I don't." His legs were still burning after he said this.

Amaiza heard Fire call her name and came our of the tree and down to the ground.
She picked Zander up and carefully put him on her back.
"I'll try ang take him up to the tree... lots more room..." She said and started making her way up the rocks.

After a few minutes she got safely up to the tree and put Zander down. She then looked down at Fire.
"Where's Isiro?" SHe questioned Fire.

[Lorien]

Soon after Amaiza placed him down in the tree top, Zander came to. Slowly, his eyes opened, revealing blury images of those standing around him. When they came into focus he could see that they were in a much different setting than before. It looked as if they were in a tree. He slowly regained his composure and got to his feet, blinking as he looked around. The flashes were still in his mind, but he had no idea what was going on.

"What happened?!" he muttered, still looking around.

[Fire]

"Well, let me put it this way in short terms... You passed out, I carried you, which by the way, was very good excerise for me..." He smiled at Zander and then continued on the list. "Set you down in a cave and then Amaiza put you up in this tree.."

He looked around and still panting a little from carrying Zander to search for Isiro. He did not see him and then raised his eyebrow in confusion.

"I swear... He was right behind me..."

[Prince of Pridelands]

"Here I am!" he shouted out and everyone turned their heads to look at him. He had come up from behind them where they were not looking.

"Sorry about that. I was only making sure there was no threat around. We don't want to fight with a wounded lion on our paws do we?" he smiled and lay down waiting to see what happens with Zander next.

[Deleted]

Amaiza heard a voice and saw Isiro. "Oh thank goodness.. you scared me then.. dissapearing like that." She laughed a little then turned to Fire.
"Is there anything else i can do to help Zander?"

[Lorien]

Zander smiled, looking at the three in front of him. He then turned to Amaiza. "No, not at the moment. Thank you, though." He let out a sigh of contentment as he looked around at the tree they were standing in. "This is a nice home you have here."

Then, in his mind, he saw flashbacks of the dream he had when he was first unconscious. The large lion with the long, dark mane and purple eyes. The words that he spoke to him. He shook his head to get the images out. He did not understand what was going on, what was happening to him...and why.

[Fire]

Fire looked at Zander concerned. Even though that Fire had found a home for him so far, something told him that he couldn't live in his state of blindness for his past. Eventually, the urge for him to find out what his past was would be a very hard thing to let go by.

He turns to Amaiza and then walks over to her, giving her a friendly nuzzle. "I think he has spoken. What he needs now is rest."

Amaiza smiled as Fire nuzzled her then nodded and walked out of the tree down to the waterhole.
She bent over and started drinking then put her head up without looking at Fire.
"It's been a exciting kind of day.." She said then started drinking again.

[Fire]

Fire looked over to Amaiza as she spoke and nodded in agreement. "Not the kind of excitement I was hoping for, but it certainly was a change wasn't it?" He chuckled a little and a content and small smile was now on his face.

He had suddenly got this parched feeling in his throat and then walked over to the waterhole to drink from it, letting the water flow through his throat and down to his stomach, sitting not far from Amaiza.

" I don't really know what do know.. I mean... we've done all we can.. haven't we?" Amaiza explained then turned to Fire for an answer.

[Fire]

Fire turned to Amaiza since she wanted an answer. A sigh let out from his muzzle and then he walked over to her, sitting down beside her. "Yes. This is the best thing that we could have done for Zander..." He smiled warmly and comfortingly at Amaiza. The only option that there was left was to help Zander find his past... But... It seemed ridiculous at the time considering his condition.

[Prince of Pridelands]

Like Fire and Amazia, Isiro was also usure of what to do next. He was always up for adventure and was willing to help, but he couldn't see anywmore that could be done. Zander himself was like a book with blank pages remembering nothing of his past. Perhaps if they had more clues to follow...

Isiro thought about these things as he lay close to Zander alone. Amazia and Fire had left a while ago. He would have joined them, but then he knew it wouldn't be polite to leave a wounded friend all alone. He sighed.

"Well... I guess its just you and me... for a while." he said to Zander in an attempt to start a conversation to keep him occupied.

[Lorien]

Zander watched as Fire and Amaiza left the shelter of the tree to head for the water hole. He smiled, deciding that, despite the fact that he didn't know who he was, he still had friends such as these to be there for him. At the same time, though, his smile faded. He realized that he must be somewhat of a burden upon them all. He didn't like that idea. In his mind, he decided, that when he was good enough to go, he wouldn't bother them with his problems anymore.

His ears twitched and his mind came back to reality when he heard Isiro's voice. He smiled at the other and nodded. "I guess it is.." His eyes darted around the area. This felt a bit uncomfortable. He didn't like the feeling.

The images of the dream returned once again. There was no shaking them out of his head this time. A strict pain shot through his head and he let out a roar, bringing his paw to his head to try and stop the sudden ringing. He saw his mother once again, then blood, then...his father. The next image was the large lion from his dream, standing in front of him, beckoning for him to follow. "Through the plains until you reach the mountains. I will show you where to go from there..."

Blackness...and then, reality. His head was spinning and before him he saw three Isiros. This time, he stayed conscious. He didn't succumb to his pain.

Amaiza lifted up her head at the sound of a roar and scrambled up the rocks to the tree and stood next to Isiro staring at Zander with his paw on his head.
"What happened? what's wrong? is he ok?"She asked all these questions in a hurry waiting for an answer so she could help her friend in any way needed.

[Fire]

Fire heard a roar and rushed back to where the group was staying, hoping that nothing was wrong. He all of a sudden had a twinge of pain rush through his head. He didn't know what it was that cause it. Could have been the bump on the rock, but when he felt it, it made him feel dark and sick inside. He approached the group and had a concerned look on his face.

[Lorien]

Zander heard the hurried approach of Amaiza and Fire. He listened to Amaiza's worried questioning, and knew that Isiro wouldn't be able to answer her questions. Taking his paw from his head, he looked up at them all, trying his best to put a smile on his face despite the throbbing pain in his head.

"I'm alright, Amaiza. I just had a..." He paused for a moment, thinking of the right word to use. "Spell. That's all." He smiled sincerely this time, truly meaning it. "I'll be just fine, no worries..."
