The Tropical Mystery

[Pulsar]

Pulsar raised a brow as he heard Tef and Misty shouting. Turning around he seen Tefnut fighting some giant spiders.
“WoW that’s one big bug!”
He said in shock.
Looking at the boulder be started to try and move it as they had said.
“Working on it!”
Pulsar said in a strained tone as he bashed and shoved the boulder as hard as he could. But it wasn’t moving great amounts.
“It’s not moving enough…..”
Looking back at the spiders, he looked at some of the other tunnels.
Pulsar jumped up beside Tef. One of the spiders went to bite him but he grabbed it and flung it back onto the other two spiders, making them all fall to the ground. Then looking at Tef and Misty he said.
“We need to find another way out!”
As he looked frantically at each of the various tunnels, any of them could be a way out or a dead end.
“Pick one and let’s get out of here, before any more of their friends show up”
He said as he looked back at the spiders which were regaining themselves from their fall.

Tefnut looked at the tunnels, there were three of them. She had seen the spiders coming in from the right tunnel. They on the other hand had used the middle one.
"Let's take that one" she said quietly and pointed the left tunnel.
"I don't think it's a good idea to run back to where we came or to the nets of those spiders, who came from the right one..."
She left the idea hangging on the air so that the others could decite what tunnel they would choose. But one thing was sure.
She would go with them, which ever tunnel they would go.

"Yes... the left one... its the closest to the one with the boulder stuck in it so maybe theres a way to the other side of the boulder through that tunnel.'' Misteeca said and started running towards it while the spiders where knocked out.
" C'mon!!"

Damu was going though the forest.Suddenly she felt the ground going from her paw.She tried to run away but couldn't:she stucked in the running sand.
"Help!"cried Damu."I've stucked!Help!Somebody!Anybody!"

Keplar ran back towards the place where he fell in, but that position was located too high above and the climb there was too steep. He had to find another way. He went back to the blocked cave entrance, and noticed the boulder had been slightly moved, but not enough to let anything out.
"Did the spiders do this, or...?" Keplar took a few sniffs near the boulder. He smelt the scent of the spiders... but also the distinct scent of his teammates!
"Oh no! Why did they have to jump in?!" Keplar followed the cliff wall in hopes of finding another way out and reached a waterfall which turned to a river further on. He thought hard, then an idea struck him! He walked through the curtain of water and into another cave entrance hidden behind it.
"I've got to find those guys fast before they get themselves killed!" he said as he raced back into the depths of the spiders lair once more.

Tefnut ran as she followed Misteeca to the left tunnel. She wanted to get out of here!
The tunnel splitted into two.
"So... Where from here?" she asked Misteeca and Pulsar.
Then she looked back to where they had come.
I hope the spiders won't come yet... she thought.
Then she heared something.
"Guys" she said. "A'm I just imagining or is that the sound of a waterfall?"

Misteeca looked at Tefnut.
''No, it's not just you.. i hear it too...''
MIsty walked up to the left tunnel and listened closely.
''I think it's coming from this one.. should we keep going? Or use the right tunnel?''
Misteeca looked at the others.

[Pulsar]

“Then let’s go down that tunnel then, follow the water.”
Pulsar said as he came to a halt behind the others. Looking backwards into the darkness of the tunnel they ran down he looked back at the others.
“And whatever you do don’t stop or look back.”
He said in an agitated voice as he heard the spiders coming down the tunnel after them.

Misteeca heard Pulsars tone of voice and started running through the left tunnel.
''They won't be able to follow us all of the way... the tunnels getting smaller..'' Misty yelled to the others behind her. She came to the end of the tunnel. The only way out was through a small hole in the wall. She slid through it and stuck her head back out.
''Come on guys!!'' She said then pulled her head out of the hole and turned around.
Misteeca was standing in a big room. On one side of the room was the waterfall, and on the other was another tunnel.

[Kovu The Lion]

Somewhere on the borders of the Pride Lands, stood proudly the figure of a spotted feline, his fur glistened and danced gracefully in the sun, and the wind as it blew directly into him, making him shiver slightly, but keeping quite warm from the suns beating warmth upon his fur. His head turned to the east, to look directly into the Pride Lands, at the huge savannah before him, and in the far east, what appeared to him to be none other than what the travelers had told him of, the beautiful and majestic sculpture known as-Pride Rock. The cheetah quickly knew this was the place he was searching for for so long, Damned was he when he walked in the Outlands for so long, it almost appeared to him until now he was always walking and facing death straight in the face at the same time, the Outlands was nothing but a place full of Perils and Traps. And being meat, a cheetah, he was something a few animal's around here called Prey.

The cheetah, known to a few, not a lot knew his real name, that being Tildilan, mostly the reason to his secrecy was his lack of trust to everyone, though it could be quickly built thanks to his onslaught of jabbering so a few would say if they met him. He sat upon his hind legs and gazed endlessly into the lands, trying to summon up enough courage to take his first step into the lands, but one thought remained in his mind that kept him out, the thought of betrayal, or defeat. What if everything he had heard from passerby's and strangers.. was fake... Was a lie.. What if this place wasn't anything like what he was told... A groan of dismay left his muzzle, and it seemed to not even be audible as it was drowned out by a zephyr passing by him, then he hung his head in though, continuing his minds little games upon him.. Treachery.. Betrayal.. The only things that continued about his mind was these words.. He didn't know.. What to do..

Tefnut followed Misteeca to the tunnel. Then she came to a big room.
On the otherside there was a waterfall and a tunnel. She went slowly closer to the waterfall. She saw trees right behind it.
"Guys!" she shouted out and managed to smile happily.
"This waterfall is a way out!"
Then she looked to the ground. The ground was solid rock, but on the rock there was a small layer of dust. And in the dust there was footprints.
"Oh no..." she whispered.
The footprints led to the other tunnel.
"Kep's somewhere here" she said, now with a worried tone of voice.

[Pulsar]

Pulsar looked at Kirsui with a surprised expression as she mentioned about Keplar.
Pulsar let out a sigh and then moaned slightly under his breath.
“Right, well this is great…..”
He thought for a second. Hearing the echo of the spiders running down the tunnel after them, Pulsar turned around and stood in its entrance.
Don’t these stupid bugs give up?
He thought to himself as he looked back at the others.
“The spiders are almost here, either one or both of you go down the other tunnel and find Keplar, and make it quick….”
He faced the tunnel entrance once more.
“I’ll wait here and keep the spiders at bay, so that when you get back the exit won’t be blocked.”
Pulsar crouched down and moved one of his back legs backwards a bit so he could quickly dodge a spider if it jumped at him.

While the rest of the group took the left tunnel, Keplar made his way through what in their perspective was the right tunnel. Keplar could hear his teammates, and mistook them to be further into the cave.
"Hey guys! Are you in here? Where are you? I'm over here!" He called out while still racing deeper on. Eventually he reached the junction where the rest of the group took the left tunnel and also came face to face with the massive army of spiders that was pursuing them.
"Oh great! Here we go again!" Keplar said, but found this time he was heavily outnumbered. He could never fight all of them alone. He held his breath and was cornered against a wall, expecting death.

Misteeca looked at Pulsar then at Tefnut.
" I'll go.." Misty said as she sped off down the right tunnel.
She came to an exit. There she saw Keplar.. against the wall with spiders all around him.
"This is where we started.." She thought to herself.
She crept out of the tunnel and pounced on the closest spider to Keplar and bit it as hard as she could. As the other spiders where attacking her she was swiping them with her tail, biting them and jumping up and down. She then grabbed Keplar and hauled him into the tunnel she had previously come from and run up it.
She then came to the room where the waterfall was and saw the spiders nearly emerging from the other tunnel.

Tefnut saw Misteeca going to the tunnel. She stayed with Pulsar.
And that was a good thing. The spiders were coming to the cave where the waterfall was.
She saw a hole on the roof of the cave. She couldn't see light from there, but she saw something else.
"Pulsar!" she shouted and jumpped foward.
The spireds came from that hole. One of them tried to attack Pulsar behing his back. Tefnut jumpped and hit the spider away with her paw.
But it wasn't enough.
More spiders came to the cave from that hole. But they seemed to fear the water. She prepared to fight for her life.

Then she saw Misteeca coming back with Keplar.
"Hey!" she shouted and scratched another spider with her claws.
"Through the waterfall! They fear it!"
She jumpped over one spider and started running thowards the water.
She hoped the others would follow her.

Misteeca dodged the spiders kicking them with her free legs, while still dragging Keplar along while he was trying to dodge the spiders and ran through the waterfall.
She then came running back and grabbed Pulsar and ran back through the waterfall.
" God i hate spiders!" Misteeca said with a sigh as she came leaping out of the water.

[Pulsar]

Pulsar landed on the ground next to the others as they went through the waterfall. Standing up he brushed himself off and looked at Misteeca surprised.
“Thanks for the heads up Misty… but next time, could you maybe call me? Instead of grabbing and flinging me around huh?”
He said in a joking tone.
“Is everyone here?”
He asked concerned as he looked around to check. Everyone seemed to be here, at least as far as he could tell.
“Everyone alright?”
He asked looking at each member.

Keplar coughed out some water and then shook his mane and body to dry himself up.
"Yeah I'm fine!" He answered Pulsar. He then walked towards Misty who had also just finished drying herself up.
"Hey Misty... um, thanks for saving me back there." He said shyly and smiled in gratitude. He then caught a glance of Tefnut.
"And who is this?" He asked curiously looking at her. He hadn't seen her kind of animal before.

[Kirsui]

Tefnut looked at Keplar and tried to smile.
"I'm Tefnut, a liopardess" she said.
"I also am the one who accidentally scared you and you fell down to the hole..."
She blushed and looked down to her paws. She was ashamed of what had happened. Without her they never had gone to the tunnels of the spiders.

Misty looked at Pulsar and laughed. " Sorry, but i hate spiders!" She said smiling.
"No problem... that's what friends are for."
She then looked at Tef and patted her on the back.
"It wasn't your fault.. everything happens for a reason..." Misteeca said reasurringly to Tefnut.
" So... where to now?" Misteeca said looking at the others.

[Pulsar]

“I don’t really care, but anywhere away from those caves…..”
He said looking back at the waterfall, and the spiders behind it looking out at them.
“Common, lets get back to finding the missing hunting party members… I hope they didn’t all end up like the one in the tunnel…”
He said in a serious tone as he frowned at the spiders. Then he looked at Tefnut and raised a brow curiously.
“So Tefnut, will you be staying behind or going back to your tree?”
Pulsar paused a moment.
“We could us your help though… that is if you are interested…”
Pulsar said waiting for her to reply to his offer.
This is becoming more dangerous then I thought, hope things don’t get worse then they already are.

[Kirsui]

Tefnut lifted her head and smiled at Pulsar.
"I'll come with you" she said.
"I've lived in this jungle for some time now. I am familiar with some parts of it, though... This jungle is bigger and more mysterious I could have ever imagined."
She looked at the waterfall.
"Could we keep going? I don't thonk we will get very far by following the same path that you followed to my tree. I haven't seen any lions useing that."
She sighed.
"Well", Tefnut whispered," expect the one we saw inside the cave."
She sniffed the air. It felt good after the stinky spider tunnels.
"Any ideas of where to continue?"

[Prince of Pridelands]

"Wait a minute! I remember while I was examining the lioness in the cave she had muddy paws... and not ordinary mud... it was swamp mud. She had traversed a swamp thats probably nearby here. Perhaps we should go there we might find more clues!" Exclaimed Keplar. Then he looked towards Tefnut.
"Tefnut, you said you know much of the jungle. Is there a swamp near here?"

[Deleted]

"Well someone should become a dective.." Misteeca chuckled while nudging Keplar.
"Yeah, i agree.." Misteeca said looking around.
"Should we go that way?" Misty said looking towards a covered up path.

[Kirsui]

Tefnut closed her eyes.
A swamp... she thought.
"There is one" she said and opened her eyes.
"It's near this little river that goes down to the jungle. It's quite huge swamp."
She stopped and looked to the others.
"And I think I've heard it's the home of crocodiles... Very VERY huge ones..."

[Prince of Pridelands]

Keplar nudged Misty back and smiled. He then turned his attention towards Tefnut.
"Crocodiles?! Great! More troubles... thats all we need!" Keplar spoke in an obviously annoyed tone.
"Very well Tefnut... lead the way, we'll follow you."
They knew when they approached the swamp since there was an awful stench hanging in the air. The vegetaion changed to the tough rubbery type that is usually present near wet locations. The sun had notably moved and the amount of light had decreased... combined with the unsusal mist that had settled on the swamp, these conditions made it harder to see than usual. The swamp was mostly water, with some patches of ground making more than one awkward path. There were logs and dirt in the water, making it very difficult to spot a crocodile.
"You guys wait here... I'll scout ahead." After taking a few steps ahead, Keplar wondered why he had said that but it was too late now. He watched back as he saw the worried faces of his comrades disappear in the thick fog. The ambient sounds of swamp birds and the like made Keplar afraid. He was all alone out there... and he couldnt go back since he had advanced too far and lost his way.

Misty walked along gloomily..
" I hate crocodiles... there just as bad as giant spiders.. " She said walking beside pulsar and tefnut.
" I mean.. why can't we fight some butterflies??" Misteeca said and laughed a little bit.
She then heard Keplar saying something then walking off into the mist.
" No way.. i'm not letting him get lost again!" Misty said following Keplar.
" You guys coming?" Misty said stopping and staring at them.

[Kirsui]

"Um, yea... I think" Tefnut replied to Misty.
She noticed something. The fog was think, but it wasn't very high.
"Wait a bit, I've got an idea" she said and grinned. Then she jumpped and climbed up to a tree near her.
"Woah!" she said in amazement. The swamp was actually bigger than she had thought.
But she had been right. From the tree she saw through the fog.
"All right guys!" she shouted.
"I can see where everyone is, so I can give you help from here! That way you won't get lost!"
She then looked around there were more threes near her and it wouldn't be a problem for her to jump to them when she needed to switch place to see better.

" cool... ok... which way do we go? just keep walking straight??" Misteeca said staring up at the leopardess in the tree abbove her.
" Do you wanna go first?" Misty asked Pulsar..
" Or do you want me to?" She said and smiled.

[Pulsar]

“Better let me go first, I’m much more experienced at dealing with things in this jungle then you, I know it like the back of my paw.” Pulsar said smiling at Misty as he walked past her, but as he finished his sentence he tripped and fell face first. “Ouch….” He said in a low voice as he lay there among the white mist of the swamp. He rose as the mist slid down his body and back onto the ground. He gave himself a shake and looked at Misty. “Like I was saying I know this place like the back of my….*smack* Pulsar walked into a branch because he wasn’t watching where he was going. “OWW! Stupid tree…” He said rubbing his head.
