Night had fallen in Africa, making the savage paradise look darker but more calm than it was on day. A slender dark figure, padded between the almost-burnt tall grass, eyes pricked up in case there was any signal of alarm that could make her deal with a terrible threat. The black lioness grumbled, as if she was remembering a good thing, dealing with trouble was her favourite part of her outlaw life. Some cracking sounds alerted the Assassin of a possible threat close by. She creeped, trying to watch more closely what was her new threat. And as she expected another black lioness roared at the criminal, whom bared her teeth.
"Who are you?" The black lioness demanded. The Assassin snarled back at the foe;
"Someone you should not mess with." After this reply, the Outlander scratched the earth beneath her paws, the criminal just stood there emotionless "What're you waitin' for, huh?" The criminal growled, provoking the other black lioness, whom growled and hurled over the criminal, that clawed the Outlander's face, leaving a big wound on her foe's nose-bridge. Inmediatly, a male lion with emerald eyes arrived and pushed the criminal away.
"Are you okay, Shade?" The male lion asked. The wounded lioness nodded and looked furiously at the other black lioness, whom stood with a paw stained with blood. The male lion glared at the criminal.
"Who are you?"The male said, asking the same question that Shade had made when meeting the criminal.
"I'am someone" The lioness replied coldly,", known as Chaos." The male lion stood perplexed, as Shade, and the fear flashed in their eyes.
"It can't be you!" The male lion said, fear in his voice. "Yeah! We've saw how they almost killed you!" Shade agreed with what looked to be her brother. The criminal, unsheathed it's claws once more.
"But as you can see, I'am not dead." The Assassin snapped at them two, fiercely. "Now bye, ladies! I've got some business to do!" And then disappeared as a shadow into the darkness of the night, leaving the two Outlanders alone, confused and with fear bugging them.

(OOC: Not sure what you actually have planned for this thread but I’m REALLY happy something’s happening here again:D).
Figgy was startled awake by distant growling and shouting, as if a confrontation was just about to start. He raised his head and sniffed – lions! – and though his skin pricked he found himself inexplicably drawn to the conflict. Which probably meant there were females involved. Automatically he got up from the rock which was still warm from the light of the day, and padded down to the grassy savannah with an oof. He had never been the most limber lion, but during the last dry season he had found a spring of clear, fresh water. Being the only reliable water source around meant animals flocked to it in droves, and he had eaten them with abandon. Portly and round were the kinder words that fit him before. Now… he didn’t know what words fit him. So when he came huffing through the savannah and found a pair of lions standing – a male with emerald eyes and a black female with a scratch across her nose. They were looking very confused. “Hey!” Figgy said, his own emerald eyes glinting with his bright smile on his extra-round face. “Are you guys ok? I smell blood… do you need a hand with anything?” He approached them slowly. Not that he was a particularly confronting figure anyway, but it was best not to rush into these things when it came to twitchy strangers

(OOC: Hey, hope you both don't mind if I join in. Looking over Ash's profile, I'm assuming that low-powered, uh, powers are okay for this scene? If not, I'll edit this opening post to exclude them)
On the evening prowl, Atiya was scouting out the locale for her supper in the coming days. A rogue lioness of her own accord, the adolescent was close to adulthood and, despite longing for adventure across the savanna lands, was becoming a dash lonely. She knew her pride was waiting somewhere in the Pride Lands for her return, but her wanderlust had taken over yet again and thus, the huntress-ascetic padded through the eventide under the cover of night.
The numbers of available prey-beasts had been surprisingly thin in this neck of Africa. She wasn't exactly starved for food, but she was curious about the distinct lack of critters about the nearby spring. She'd drank at the clean waters, offering thanks to the Argent Flame of her far-flung heritage. She'd never seen the lands of her ancestors, but knew they lived in deserts at one point far to the north of the savanna. Despite the physical distance to the land her goddess watched over, she knew Sekhmet was only a prayer away.
Perhaps she'd offer a nice chunk of the first kill in these parts to that leonine Eye of Ra.
Before long, however, her reflections on the lack of hunting and her faith were broken by a cacophony of aggression. Some kind of scuffle happened, but the assailant was nowhere to be seen. The reek of a curse, however, hung in the air. Atiya knew there was no mistaking it. Even with magic being limited to the shamans of the land, and even if her beliefs in Netjer's power clashed with reliance on the souls of the deceased Great Kings, Atiya could sense something supernatural was about.
The accursed being would have to wait. There was a pitch-black lioness with a nasty claw-cut across her nose, alongside an emerald-eyed male and a rather overweight male as well. The striking eye color on the male caught her attention, as her own sapphire irises were rather uncommon compared to most big cats; this was a rather motley crew combined with the hurt lioness' fur and the other male's girth.
May as well add to the peculiar squad.
"Hey!" Atiya darted forth. "You okay, miss? I'm sure I saw some medicinal herbs not far from here. Could whip up one of those healing pastes I'd learned from a baboon before..." She didn't like to hint at her preternatural abilities, as vague as they could be, but tried to keep herself focused in case that malevolent air came forth again, with the being shrouded in it attached. Sadly, the daft daughter of lions might seem a bit distracted when doing so, for her strange skills required as much body and mind as soul...

Shade shook her head, and splotches of blood fell in the hard ground "A criminal...There was a criminal..." Shade answered, then looked up at Atiya, "Do you know any criminal by the Pridelands?" The wounded black lioness asked to Figgy and Atiya, ignoring their worrying questions about her state "I didn't know her name, but she looked so familiar..." Shade whispered.
While she was talking, something watched them from the shadows, in silent, but the fear would instantly surround the small group, tensing and very cold, the gaze still was locked on them....Just a snake was ready to pounce on her prey, just a assassin ready to kill his target...
(OOC: Is fine for me to use them, just don't use it them badly XD don't be a Lord Voldemort ;W;)

“A criminal eh?” Figgy said, plonking his rotund bulk down with a sigh. “All that criminal means is that the fuddy duddies of Pride Rock don’t like something he did. What’s this one accused of?” Figgy had had his own run-ins with the law in these parts, mostly after trivial things, in his mind. “Do you know the major domo banned me from laying traps? You know why? Because they work too well. How dumb is that? I do it anyway, mind you. I think if I’m going to be hauled before the king and queen for being too good a hunter then I’ll just have a chance to convince the pride of how easy and simple and humane traps are.” Figgy watched as the asiatic lioness disappeared into the foliage, eyes following that oversized tail tuft like those of a playful kitten. He resisted the attempt to swipe it and instead appreciated her healing skills. Healing was something that required patience, wisdom and brains – two out of three attributes he doubted he had in much abundance, and such a combination made for intriguing individuals. “Still, I’m sorry he hurt you though. That was low,” Figgy said. “Did you try to capture the criminal? I’d offer to lick it better for you but I assume your mate can do that.” He waved a paw at the emerald-eyed lion and smiled broadly. “I’m Figgy, by the way,” he said, standing (with difficulty) and bowing to the pair. “Inventor and explorer. At your service.”

"Criminals? None of the top of my mind. No one that the King nor any animals with a bone to pick issued a bounty against, anyway..." Atiya hadn't heard of any, at the least. Even if anyone had an issue, she wouldn't have heard of it -- the pagan had only recently been off the mend of a recent bounty, and as such kept her nose clean of any bad news lest she feel obligated to risk herself so soon. With that, she trotted off into the brush to seek the plants she'd seen on the way. Though clever and devout, she wasn't always wise; her insight usually suffered for it, as the case where she forgot to bring the medicine pouch she'd been given from her teacher.
Regardless she was off to that nearby spot, hoping her hidden bag hadn't been disturbed. Overhearing Figgy's words about the ban on his traps, the young lioness took immediate interest. "But traps, you say?" she called back, not realizing the big guy's temptation to play with her notably bigger tail tuft compared to the pure-blooded African lions. "Not even tactical ones with a pride, but devices? Self-taught, or have you learned from those apes with their opposable thumbs too?"
As she snapped up the plants in her maw, again her sixth sense began to nag her. The accursed was nearby. She was sure of it, but couldn't pinpoint the exact location with her passive sense. So she decided to ready herself, reciting a prayer both mentally and mumbling it over a full mouth.
Mother Sekhmet, One Before Whom Evil Trembles, I call to thee and beg thy protection...
Her limbs began to feel tense. The scruff on the back of her neck started to rise, and an uncanny warmth began to flow from her belly out across her mortal coil.
Help me soothe wounds, to comfort the innocent, and give strength in an hour of desperation and fear...
Apprehension steadied, ebbing away as she continued her meditation. The inner warmth, extended past her chest and hips, started to flow down toned legs.
Sekhmet of the Knives, Burner of Evil-Doers, I declare I am worthy of thy intervention; I do no harm to innocent lives and I uphold the laws of Ma'at... please come to me and help me in this, an hour of need...
Toes dig into the savanna grass, and claws protrude. As she trots back fearless -- but also heedless to the enemy unknown -- she is holding in her dark lips the herbs for a basic poultice. Her eyes are striking and caught in an intense gaze, reflecting green-yellow across the moonlight. And if the others had any way of knowing, as unlikely as it seemed to Atiya, she would almost seem to be dimly glowing herself...
...let it be so.

Shade sighed, and looked down, just as she blinked a bit when Atiya started to glow a bit...Then the grass among them crumbled, and the wind started to move in a secretive way, as if the presence of someone close by the little group scared it.Then silence and the whispers of the breeze would be the only thing heard, yet, there was a presence, there was someone else, they weren't alone and Shade stood still.
"Don't move a muscle..." Shade said, alarm glowing into her red eyes. And someone talked, just as cold as iceberg, just as dark as the same shadows, and just as sinister as a dark cave:
"There's no use, I'm already watchin' ya'll...I was always here, seein' how you, weak Shade cried out as a scaredy cub..." The presence seemed to talk from everywhere, it's voice made the grass crumble, as if they feared the someone who was talking now.

"But traps, you say? Not even tactical ones with a pride, but devices? Self-taught, or have you learned from those apes with their opposable thumbs too?" "Opposable whats now?" Figgy said, and laughed. "I suppose I'm self-taught. Although my mother would probably say I'm quite oppositional. "I make traps from roots where I can get them or woven grass ropes where I can't," he said. "I'll be happy to teach you! Nobody in the pride wants to learn. They all want to do things the old-fashioned way. Says it makes them strong." He put a mocking emphasis on this last word. "But seriously, if you want to learn I'll... hmm..." When the lioness walked back towards them she was carrying something in her mouth, and there was a certain gleam in her eyes that had Figgy in a bit of a trance. He found he couldn't stop looking at her, and watched with interest as she walked towards the darker-coloured lioness. He was just about to say something he'd likely regret when a disembodied voice sounded across the savanna: "There's no use, I'm already watchin' ya'll...I was always here, seein' how you, weak Shade cried out as a scaredy cub..." "Hey," Figgy said, standing again and addressing the grass and the wind - and the disembodied voice. "Who's out there? I'm Figgy, just so you know. I'd be pleased to meet you... if I could see you. What's your name? Is there something you want? Do you want some company? No use spending the night alone if we can all stick together." Figgy wasn't sure the lioness with the scratch on the nose felt the same way, but he figured this was probably the best strategy was to throw water on the fire before it began.

Figgy's speech about his self-developed techniques intrigued Atiya, and eager to learn more she set down the medicinal plants and opened her muzzle to reply. With their eyes having met, the fervor warming her insides and expressed in her countenance, her tension faded as she started to relent. However, the uncanny flow of the winds and Shade's fearful commands halted the voice in her throat. Her internal powers surged up as those mocking words from the assailant unseen rang out into the night.
Her first instinct was to address a challenge to the voice. Any thoughts of self-preservation faded, her mind once more caught up in self-endangering desires to protect others, or even to just be a big darn hero. And had Figgy not tried to dampen the tensions in a show of good faith, she would have put herself in harm's way as she was wont to do.
Instead, the near-adult deferred to Figgy's attempts to talk the mysterious stranger down; after all, every leader needs followers to help get things done. "Whoever you are", she began, "Your qualms with Shade need to be put on hold. Why don't we all settle this over a drink, like grown lions? Hunt something together? And when we've gotten our fill, we can chat about whatever's on your minds...?"
The tone that this proclaimed criminal spoke in was anything but pleasant, and despite Atiya's casual speech she wasn't willing to let her fighting spirit relax. That pale fire about her still wavered in the eyes of those who could see it. Her eyes shut for a moment or two as she sat back on her haunches, letting her spirit peer about in ways her eyes could not. Letting out a sigh, she took a few lingering breaths to try and actively search for the source of the power being used.
A few precious moments to let her guard down. "So... whadda y'say?"

A bitter and non-funny laugh would be heard from the dark and grim voice "Ah, no, no....My quarrel isn't with you nor with the squealing cub." The presence would be stalking around them, silently walking. Atiya's words didn't seem to make the presence change it's opinion;
"No, thanks, I have better things to do, than hunt in the lands of my enemies." The voice hissed as a snake would do before killing off its prey. The non-funny and creepy laugh would be heard again "Figgy, huh? Tell you my name?" The shadow snarled", yeah, I'll tell you when corpses come back to life!" The cruel joke would make Shade tremble with fear.
"Ah, no, no, Shade, don't fear me, you should hide your fear infront of everyone, wasn't that your want-to-do? Or your determination had died a long ago?" The unknown presence said, as a another cruel joke directed to Shade. Dark would scoff with anger.
"Show yourself, coward!" Dark snarled. A whisper creeped into the grass.
"No, if I showed myself, where would be the funny part of seeing your squealing sister tremble like a ol' bush ready to vanish with the wind?..." The creepy voice growled in retort, with disgust.

"Ok, well there's no reason to be so morbid," said Figgy, but he could see where this was going. This criminal was trying to provoke a fight. Well, so much for settling this the diplomatic way. That said he didn't really feel frightened. After all he was in the company of two females and another male. But the black and red-eyed female seemed quite distraught. He went and stood beside her, placing a paw on her shoulder. "Hey, we won't let her hurt you again," he said gently. "Do you know this person? Why are you afraid of her?" He glanced over to Atiya, to make sure she was ok too, and to the male he flicked a flash of a smile, acknowledging him as this black lioness' mate. "What's your names, and how can we help?"

Enough was enough. This dastardly one was arrogant and confrontational, and there was no getting around those facts after all. His vendetta against Shade couldn't be put on hold, it seemed, but the villain was outnumbered and the pagan had powers of her own. Now, Atiya just had to try and bolster the trembling Shade whilst finding a way have her foe's actions play into her paw.
So, she decided to fake it in the hopes of making it. Emitting a chortle, Atiya mocked the assassin. "You're really gonna do this then, pal? Hiding and tormenting is your best strategy to win this losing battle? What, did this one spit in your breakfast or something? You're willing to throw your well-being away for this little hissy-fit of yours?" The chortle turned to a vicious guffaw. "Hah! You're outnumbered four to one! I hope you brought your own darned army! No, you're hiding and bullying someone because you know you'll lose the moment you show your miserable muzzle to us. I didn't realize you were still a yellow-bellied cub at heart!"
Her eyes finally opened. "Wanna know the worst of it? I've been buying time to find that reek of black magic. That stench worse than a warthog's behind. But hey! You do you, pal!"

The creepy laugh would hiss throught the valley. Before anyone could jump on her, a black blurr would hit Shade aside, and hit Dark away, fast as a blink, the shadow would grab Atiya and stuck on a tree close by, and as for Figgy, the non-visible figure would push Figgy and stuck him in the same tree Atiya was.
"Do you still want to put up a fight?", asked coolly the sinister voice, still hidden in the grass. Shade would be laying in one side, her flanks desesperately to keep on working, her mouth was bleeding as a wound on her head. Dark was knocked out, his chin rested on the ground.
"And my breakfast, Atiya, was nothing." the sinister shadow snarled. A rustle creeped the grass, making it shudder.

Figgy didn’t land on his feet. Instead he scrabbled at the branches and leaves, sliding down until he landed on the savannah with a bone-rattling thump. “Urrrgh,” he said, groaning, rolling onto his stomach, head still spinning. “Breakfast… you didn’t have breakfast?” he said, staggering to his feet. “Well, that explains your attitude. I’ve got some wildebeest left over near my waterhole if you’d like. I don’t see why…” He looked over, seeing the dark shape of the black lioness and her mate on the grass. “Now, what’d you go and do that for?” he said, staggering over, head still spinning, putting himself between the criminal and the unconscious lions. This time he was ready. If Figgy was anything, he was immovable, and he made sure he wouldn’t be moved like that again. “What’ve you got against her anyway?”

The swift and mighty assault was a lot to bear, and Atiya's internal strength was used not to fight as intended, but to survive. The impact with the tree wasn't quite as painful as it could have been, but Atiya couldn't assess how badly she was hurt and was frankly afraid to shut off her powers and find out. That said, with her hunger coming back to the forefront, she staggered forth shortly after Figgy was smashed into hit himself.
"Good gods", she groaned, "That's something else. Guess you're not all talk after all". That glow was dying down, and she was coherent only because of the magic causing it. "...but Figgy has a point... why are you so angry with this lioness? I wasn't being literal about the breakfast thing -- I want to understand. She's clearly afraid of you; why antagonize her? And if you're doing it for kicks... then know I'm not backing down to try and help her. But if there's... urp..."
The aura was gone, Atiya's world was spinning, her back was screaming bloody murder from the collision and her jaw was beginning to leak her crimson fluids. "...if there's something more to this... then start talking... what is she at fault for...?"

Ash|The Criminal is Roaming Close! "No sacrifice, no glory" Ash watched with ferocious eyes at Atiya. She wasn't sure if she had to reveal her face. For them, she was just like a shadow, but, anyways, even though she was having fun with the confused expressions, she was starting to get tired of hiding like a coward.
“Ah, well…”, her voice rumbled“, once I encountered Shade, and she attacked me, I defended myself, but was beaten up thanks for the idiot of her brother. Anyways, I've got something against everybody, Figgy”, she spat, with her voice sharply dry“, her scars is a payback.”
She lashed her tail, with annoyance, and the tall grass shivered, as if the mysterious lioness had done something to terrorific.
“I’m going to present myself, but don’t attack me, and I won’t harm you.”, she said with a long hiss.
The tall grass again shuddered, and a scarred black pelted female lioness appeared. Her burning red eyes intense, but sharp, cold and emotionless. Scars covered most of her lithe and well-muscled body, her tail lashed, but there was no sign of menace, her claws were large and sharp, and holed up the soft earth beneath her powerful paws. ✿Shade|The Criminal is Roaming Close! "I'm like pain, I can hurt you as far as I want" Shade shuddered even more, her own pelt burned with shame. The young and grotesque female lioness had actually humiliated her infront of Figgy and Atiya, and she made nothing to defend herself!
Hearing about the confrontation, made her flick her ears. The criminal was right, Shade had attacked her by no reason and beaten up, and even laughed in her face, but now, Ash was the one laughing at the end.
When the criminal showed up. Shade stood up and gave a step back, clearly something made her fear the scarred lioness. But Ash’s coldness seemed to dark for her, and for Shade, she never though such young lioness could be so...so dark and a bloody cold-hearted female lion. Not even Dark dared to say anything, his emerald eyes still glowed with a spark of fear. ✿( OOC: Sorry for da inactivity, I was busy ;-;)
