So as a hobby I make rpg stats and systems and I got curious...how would you make an RPG out of a theme with feral animals?
I have a couple of ideas I will put here later but I'm open to suggestions.

I deleted my previous post because it...yeah it went no where. I also finally noticed the whole GM and DnD thingy :3
So I decided to create a system based on that and came up with 2 ideas Both require the player to roll 10+ for a success with a D20. Stats provide bonuses to your dice roll.
Idea 1: each stat begins at 0 and you get 2 free points to spend. You can redistribute more points by subtracting them from other stats. Example: if you want to buff your STR you can subtract your CHA or WIS to do so
Example 2: Stats ranked top to lowest have set bonuses. 1st = +3 2nd = +2 3rd = +1 4th = 0 5th = -1 6th = -2
Either way both roll 1d20 +/- STAT BONUS.
Each character has HP equal to a set number +/- CONSTITUTION. Larger animals would have more HP.
When a character gets damaged they can roll to see where they got hit. Some locations do more damage than others, and if the animal is several sizes larger than it's target it can do more damage as well.
1. Tail 0 Dmg 2. Legs 1 Dmg, -1 DEX 3. Arms 1 Dmg, -1 STR 4. Belly 1 Dmg 5. Chest 2 Dmg 6. Head 3 Dmg, -1 CON
Sizes:
Tiny, 3 HP. Small. 5 HP. Medium. 7 HP. Large. 12 HP. Huge. 20 HP.

i would be ALL about designing this type of game.
sizes could be predetermined for some species as a guideline?
Huge = Elephant/giraffe Large = Rhino/hippo Medium = Zebra/Lion Small= Secretary bird/goat Tiny = Mouse/Bugs/meerkat/Hornbill
And small animals may have less HP, but they get +1 to dex or dodge mechanics (and tiny get +2), whereas a large animal gets a +2 to STR.
