A storm was rolling in, dark and angry clouds on the horizon. Perking his large ears up, a little bat eared fox watched the skies warily, smelling rain off in the distance. What a time to be out in the middle of nowhere. Anasij knew he’d have to find some sort of shelter soon, otherwise he would be caught in the deluge. As the first rain drops began to fall, he started to run, not paying much attention to where he was going.

The little fox was not alone in this problem many of the beasts of the grasslands ound themselves scattering for cover.
And then there was Vrasku who was fast asleep until the first rain drops came. Shaking his head he stretches and yawns until he is on his feat. "Not the worst thing to interupt a nap," he supposes. Still it ment the young jackal needed shelter.
Other shelter than the rotten log behind him. Vrasku claimed the tree was growing smaller due to the change in the seasons, although most would say it was the plethora of mice to catch here and little exercise that prevented the jackal from fitting into the narrow log.
Vrasku shruggs. He can only imagine his next home would be better...and hopefully nearby the jackal thinks as he trots off into the tall grass.

The rain was beginning to come down hard now, and Sij was getting soaked. It was hard for him to decide where to go as he couldn't really see above the tall grass. He was as good as blind out there, and he wasn't familiar with this territory. Thunder shook the ground and he saw lightning flash across the sky. But his large ears picked up the sound of something moving up ahead. His sensitive ears told him that it was slightly bigger than himself. He wasn't quite sure what to do and couldn't yet see if it was friend or foe, so he flattened his ears and crouched down in the grass, seeing if he could get a glimpse of what it was.

Those large ears were picking up Vrasku as he stumbled about in the rain. The jackal was larger than the fox but still had the same problem. He couldnt see head nor tail where he was going.
"Blasted...gazell. Not doing their jobs...keeping the grass...trim and..." the jackal shakes his head as rain pelts him in the eye.
It blinds him from the drop off he wonders blindly into, letting off a sharp yelp as his paws grab at only air.
He rolls head over foot down the hill towards the fox until he lands on his stomach with his tail end draped over his head.
It is about as comfortable as it looks...if not less.
