One thing I've always loved about TLKGO is the many regular members who have rich, interesting lives. Those of us who frequent the site are mostly in our 20s-30s and are building careers, on top of having hobbies and unique skills we enjoy in our free time. So I thought it would be cool to create a thread where we share some info about our vocations and everyday lives. I'd like to learn more about those of you I met when I returned to the site this summer, and I'd be interested to hear an update from those I knew on TLKGO several years ago So here's a template of things to share. You can create other categories if you want, or refrain from some, and you can be as vague or detailed as you'd like. I'm not looking for credit card numbers here TLKGO Bio 1) What do you do?Are you working? In school? Both? 2) Where do you live? 3) How did you get to where you are? What lead you to spend your time the way you do today? 4) What might you be doing five years from now?5) What are you doing in your spare time these days?Hobbies? Obsessions? Do you even have spare time? 6) What's something you'd really like to do, even if it's not realistic? 7) What's something you're really proud of?8) When did you join TLKGO?9) How did you find TLKGO?10) What are some peculiar things about you? Any useless talents, weird pets, or odd interests?11) What is most important to you? 12) If there's one thing you're better at than anyone on the site, what do you think that would be?Perhaps we could use this one to distribute titles like "TLKGO's Resident Astrophysicist" or something.

Great idea, Zulu! I like these kind of things TLKGO Bio
1) What do you do?I'm a Dentist, I earned my Dental Surgeon degree in November last year, and right now I'm working on my own in an office annexed to my dad's. I focus mostly on doing dental prosthetics. I can also make eye prosthetics for my dad's patients (he's an ophtalmologyst), which is like a secondary job for me. 2) Where do you live?Chihuahua, a city in the North of Mexico, about 3 hours South from the U.S. border 3) How did you get to where you are?Hmm, my interest in dentistry was more like a family thing, especially from my uncle, who I admired. 4) What might you be doing five years from now?I have no idea what the future holds for me, but I want to move out of this place. Next year, if things go well, I'll be moving to Querétaro, a place very close to Mexico City. I might do my masters degree there, and who knows, I might either stay there or get a scholarship to continue my studies abroad in another country, which I would really like. 5) What are you doing in your spare time these days?I like to draw, though I wish I could do so more often. I also like to read, watch movies, TV shows, play videogames... Yeah, typical introvert's life xD 6) What's something you'd really like to do, even if it's not realistic?Travel around the world, visit my online friends as often as I want and share many adventures together 7) What's something you're really proud of?Having graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry here, and my drawing skills in part. 8) When did you join TLKGO?April 15th, 2012 9) How did you find TLKGO?Hmm I believe I saw This Land mention it in another forum once. I simply asked him about it and he ended up linking me here. I'm very glad he did 10) What are some peculiar things about you?I have a particular interest for Prehispanic cultures, and I love jaguars, as I'm sure anyone can tell xD 11) What is most important to you?Friendship. Being there for whoever needs my assistance and advice, even though I don't really reach out to people myself so easily. 12) If there's one thing you're better at than anyone on the site, what do you think that would be?Hmm, I don't think I'm better than anyone at anything here, other than my knowledge about teeth and mouth diseases, I guess

What kind of eye prosthetics do you make, Leor? They're like this one, made with acrylic resin following an impression of the patient's eye socket. This one in particular was for a little girl who lost her eye in an accident. She was very cooperative and looked happy with her new eye, though Every eye prosthetic we make is based on each individual patient's socket and the other eye's color (when there's only one eye missing, that is), which is much better than the pre-made prosthetics they sell in other places.

Creepy, but cool. Makes me so glad to still have all my bits. I'm going paintballing tomorrow. Doing that with one eye would just be really flat.

Very cool, Leorgathar ! Thanks for sharing! I'm thinking about getting intraoccular lenses for my terrible eyes. Maybe you and your dad could pass on some wisdom on that front TLKGO Bio 1) What do you do?I'm in my fifth year of undergrad, finishing my biology degree next week and my philosophy degree in spring. I work at the student union, and I've copy edited on and off for the school paper for a couple years (though I'm not right now, so don't judge any copy mistakes ). I had a pretty rad internship with the St. Louis Zoo biofact collection over the summer, and I've been doing research there since. 2) Where do you live?St. Louis, MO, USA 3) How did you get to where you are?
I was really interested in traditional animation in high school, but around the time I committed to a college I decided to keep art out of my career. So I entered college undecided, eventually settling on a philosophy major and religious studies minor. After I studied in Thailand for a semester, I decided to add a bio major to all that. So now I'm in the sciences, pursing a career in museum studies and natural history collections. 4) What might you be doing five years from now?
I hope to be finishing up a graduate program, preferably in Colorado (there's a program and a museum I really like in Boulder). Til then I'm taking some time off to get work experience and help my family out. I might be married by then, too, if the boyfriend and I get around to it 5) What are you doing in your spare time these days?
I'm used to semesters with 18 credit hours, so I actually have a lot of free time now, comparatively speaking. Of course I like to draw critters and characters, and I'm really into knitting these days. Other than that I sleep a lot, and hang out with that boyfriend I live with (his name is Kelton). 6) What's something you'd really like to do, even if it's not realistic?
My big dream is to live on a farm with my family and some close friends. I picture a few houses on our property and many, many rescue animals (goats, dogs, rats, horses, you name it). 7) What's something you're really proud of?
I'm pretty proud of the relationship I've built with Kelton. We've been together for 4.5 years, did long distance for 3 years, lived together for 1.5. We've started a little critter family and we couldn't be happier. Couldn't imagine someone better to spend my life with. 8) When did you join TLKGO?
June 15, 2007, apparently. The summer after I got out of middle school O__O 9) How did you find TLKGO?
I found someone's character on deviantart and looked up the site. 10) What are some peculiar things about you?
I've had a total of five pet rats: Xylem and her late sister Phloem, Chihiro (whom we had for about a month), and now two kiddos named Tofu and Chickpea. All girls. They are sugar and spice and everything nice. 11) What is most important to you?
My family, my loved ones, and animals. I think if I have some kind of role as a person, it's to make sure animals are respected, understood and cared for. 12) If there's one thing you're better at than anyone on the site, what do you think that would be?
Probably discussing the anatomical landmarks and attributes of canid skulls, since I spent the last 9 months studying that

TLKGO Bio
1) What do you do?
I'm currently in High School
2) Where do you live?
Charlotte, NC
3) How did you get to where you are?
As a person who was born in the late 90s, I was kind of the first generation to grow up with a lot of time on the internet. I got on tumblr a couple years ago and saw some lion king posts, and thought I'd revisit the movie. Then I encountered the name Kopa. From there, I did research, and found the whole vast fandom, and just this summer, I found TLKGO.
When I was young, I played football just to try it. I still play it to this day.
When I started to gain an interest in joining the Air Force, I signed up for a military Cadet program, which I spend a lot of time with.
4) What might you be doing five years from now?
I'm hoping to be a Cadet at the Air Force Academy by then.
5) What are you doing in your spare time these days?
I enjoy theater and acting, and I'll also do some drawing from time to time. Other than that, I'm trying to apply to the service academies, doing stupid stuff on the internet, chatting with the TLKGO Skype Group, Playing video games, or RPing with a Geopolitics RP group that I'm also in.
6) What's something you'd really like to do, even if it's not realistic?
I would like to try being a voice actor at least once.
7) What's something you're really proud of?
I'm proud of my discipline to stick to a weight lifting routine, as well as my football skills and my progress in that cadet program.
8) When did you join TLKGO?
Summer of 2015
9) How did you find TLKGO?
An artist here mentioned Lion King roleplaying on deviantart. I found it a year before joining, actually, but decided against joining to make sure nobody else found out of my obsession with TLK
10) What are some peculiar things about you?
I was obsessed with rollercoasters when I was young, and ended up designing some for fun. Now I can tell what company makes a certain rollercoaster and what the official name for that product is just by looking at the track.
11) What is most important to you?
My future. I want to leave an impact on the world somehow.
12) If there's one thing you're better at than anyone on the site, what do you think that would be?
Perhaps we could use this one to distribute titles like "TLKGO's Resident Astrophysicist" or something.

TLKGO Bio 1) What do you do?I am currently a masters student at the University of Lapland. My main field is industrial design, and I've studied interior and textile design, and design engineering as minor subjects during my bachelors degree. Instead of having a minor subject for masters though, I've done various little design projects. I am currently working at university as a research assistant for our professor with Adalgeus. 2) Where do you live?Rovaniemi, Lapland, Finland 3) How did you get to where you are?I dunno really. A curious chain of events I suppose. I always wanted to be a vet, but during my last year of upper secondary school, I realized that wasn't really what I wanted. I applied to graphic design and for vet school, without really wanting into either of those two. Didn't get in, wasn't too down about that. Noticed they had re-opened applications to information technology at a local school for the summer since they didn't have enough applicants. Applied there, thinking I'd only study a year if I was accepted. Ended up staying the full 3 years. During the last year, my dad began studying industrial design in open university (the course was arranged together by University of Lapland and the school I studied in). Went into a few lectures with my dad out of pure curiosity. Realized it was rather interesting, decided to apply, got in, and here I am, 4 and some years later and I'm loving it. xP 4) What might you be doing five years from now?Honestly, I don't know. I've slowly started to realize this is supposedly my last year at university, and my life plans are rather sketchy right now. Up until now I was kind of only aiming for becoming a product designer, but honestly during the past few months as a research assistant I've started to find research rather interesting. Currently, I'd really love to continue doing that if possible. 5) What are you doing in your spare time these days? Not a lot, I'm afraid. :c I'm not drawing or reading nearly as much as I used to, and that annoys me. As of recent, I've gotten back into knitting, though I don't seem to have enough time for that either. I've also been re-playing Mass Effect, and the list of games I should play through isn't getting any shorter because, frankly, I'm not feeling like gaming so much right now (other than my 5th or so re-play of the whole ME series lmao). 6) What's something you'd really like to do, even if it's not realistic?Be a part of a car design project. Or work for a car company, designing their cars. Or work for Lego, or IKEA. OR become a full time researcher at university, and possibly start a doctor's thesis. Maybe even become a lecturer, or a professor. Either of those would be great. 7) What's something you're really proud of?Um... I have a pretty good imagination. I guess I'm rather proud of that. xD 8) When did you join TLKGO?Let me check... 11 Apr 2006 at 21:19 ... Well then... I was... 17 years old. I feel old now. xD 9) How did you find TLKGO?I had become a member of TLKFAA some time prior. I somehow ran into This Land's profile, saw a link, followed it after a few days of pondering, and decided to give it a go. Still here, and not regretting my decision at all. xD 10) What are some peculiar things about you?I can wiggle my ears, one at a time if I wish, and flare my nostrils, and move my whole scalp back and forth. Oh and I can cry at will without actually having a need to cry. xD 11) What is most important to you?Weirdly enough, my oldest plushie Tessu. She's a brown, floppy eared plushie dog that I got for my first Christmas. She used to be my regular sleeping partner for many years and may or may not still continue to do so when I feel like it LMAO. Weird, maybe, but I don't really care. xD12) If there's one thing you're better at than anyone on the site, what do you think that would be?Doing impressions of people on Skyrim. Namely, the Nords. xD TLKGO's Resident People of Skyrim Imitator doesn't sound very good though, but I bet a better title could be come up with. xD

TLKGO Bio 1) What do you do?I'm studying my masters degree in art at University of Lapland. My major subject is industrial design and two minors in my bachelor phase were textile design and design engineering. For my masters degree minor I've done multiple projects. I'm also working as a research assistant for our professor at the university with with Kirsui . 2) Where do you live?Currently in Rovaniemi, Finland. 3) How did you get to where you are? Can't really say. I had multiple career dreams when I was younger, starting from pathologist to a writer or a designer. Before the university I went to a vocational school and studied the profession of a artisan designers assistant and so the university felt natural as the next step towards having a real job. Or something like that. Mostly I've been just going with the flow and just looking where it takes me and it has been good by so far 4) What might you be doing five years from now?Hopefully in a job, as a designer. Field is still open, but game and product design are bot really interesting. Thou the research job I've been doing at the uni has been really interesting and rewarding so who knows, I might continue on that path too! 5) What are you doing in your spare time these days?I really like doing crafts like sewing and knitting. But I used to read and draw a lot more in my spare time.. It changed when I got into gaming I also used to read a lot and my personal library has almost 500 books, including all comics and artbooks.. 6) What's something you'd really like to do, even if it's not realistic?I'd like to work for some famous brands like IKEA.. Or get some products I've designed to market and proudly say "I designed that!". Or in a gaming company like BioWare. 7) What's something you're really proud of?My good imagination and drawing skills, that are getting better and better n__n 8) When did you join TLKGO?11 March 2015 9) How did you find TLKGO?Kirsui was doing roleplay posts in the middle of school few years back and I found that interesting.. And few years later decided to join too! I'm a bit ashamed that I haven't been very active, but I intend to do so in the future. 10) What are some peculiar things about you? I can recognise few of my nearest and dearest just by their smell. I can spot things that other people usually miss. And with my super loud camera I can still be super sneaky and take pictures without anyone noticind it x3 11) What is most important to you?My super loud camera.. I call it my Baby. 12) If there's one thing you're better at than anyone on the site, what do you think that would be?TLKGO's Resident Weird Facts Flinger

I know I've already talked to a lot of you guys on Skype, but I feel like doing one of these for fun.
TLKGO Bio
1) What do you do? I'm a guy in his late 20's with a BA in English, currently working as a private tutor and substitute teacher as my main source of income. My second job is freelance acting mostly involving voice-over done in my home studio, though I have a lot of experience with live theater.
2) Where do you live? I currently reside on the East Coast, but I'm planning on moving to Texas or California in the near future.
3) How did you get to where you are? That's a long and boring story. The Lion King actually influenced my eventual career choice!
When I was a kid I always enjoyed acting along with Disney movies and other cartoons, but that all took a back seat to other pastimes as I got older. I was planning on being a marine biologist, but it's weird how quickly interests can change when you think you've found your calling elsewhere.
Around middle school I found out about Roleplaying online in chats and on messageboards; the back and forth, imaginative writing was a lot like performing on the spot, and I got sucked into that hobby for years. RPing began to abate when I got to high school though, mainly because I found the theater department and rekindled my love for real performing again. I still did the former, but focused hardcore on acting, and that passion went on through college. I ended up leaving college early to do some professional work after an agent scouted me, but after a few years I went back and finished my degree. From there, I found voice over work and dove headlong into that.
4) What might you be doing five years from now? Hopefully doing voice-over as a full time career if I can move to a state with more work. The internet makes it easier to get gigs for home voice-over, but studio gigs pay far more.
5) What are you doing in your spare time these days? With VO being my second job it takes up a lot of my spare time. When not doing that though, I enjoy gaming; writing; and outdoor time killers like hiking and camping, depending on the weather. I'm also an avid marksman (for sport, obviously) and an amateur SFX/Prop artist who sometimes dabbles in a minimal amount of metallurgy. I go full on nerd for medieval/fantasy and horror stuff too.
6) What's something you'd really like to do, even if it's not realistic? Haha, my entire second career? It's a tough field to break into full time, but I'd love to achieve that goal eventually. Would really love to travel more too, but I think that's something most people aspire to.
7) What's something you're really proud of? My first professional acting gig was actually with Disney! I worked in their Florida theme parks as a face character for several years before my contract eventually ran up and I had to seek other means of income. I worked at Universal Studios as well, doing seasonal acting work.
8) When did you join TLKGO? A few weeks ago!
9) How did you find TLKGO? When The Lion Guard started being heavily advertised I got bit by The Lion King bug again and found the urge to seek out like-minded fans. This was the first and most promising result.
10) What are some peculiar things about you? I guess one weird thing is that I was diagnosed with ADD--two years ago. You'd think they would have pinpointed that earlier in my life, but I guess it was prominent enough now to finally diagnose. I've had a lot of interesting things happen in my life besides that but I'm not sure I'd count them as "peculiar".
11) What is most important to you? Being surrounded by friends, family and excelling in the things I enjoy doing. Would rather have a rich life than a rich bank account.
12) If there's one thing you're better at than anyone on the site, what do you think that would be? Hard to say since I don't know everybody in depth, but I'd imagine I have the most acting and singing experience on the site. Resident TLKGO Acting Snob, I guess.
