"I was trying to find water.. But when I couldn't find any and when I returned to where we had been earlier, you weren't there. How come you left??" Nyama still felt a little shaken by the whole ordeal, but was a little more at ease now she was back with the two lions. "What's the plan from here then?"

"Water! Ha. Found some," Figgy said, pointing back to the crocodile-infested river. "And we left to find you! We waited for ages - at least it felt like ages." A quizzical look came over his chubby face and his green eyes rolled skywards. "The sun really hasn't moved much." Then he sighed. "So: we're all together again. What should we do now? How about we continue your lessons?" He pointed to both of them, a wry grin on his face. "See what happens when you try to hunt the old way? You get lost, and your friends nearly get eaten by crocodiles. But I think we need to find a way back that doesn't involve crossing that river... Any suggestions?"

Nyama laughed "Maybe that is true, but hunting the old way is far more fun!" Her face then straightened as she thought of a way to return to Kira's pride lands. "I agree, we should really head back.. Well we could always try our luck further up stream, and follow the river for a while? The sun doesn't seem to be too far from mid day, so we should have plenary of time?" she didn't really have any idea of how to return home, she had hoped Figgy or Kira would have ideas for that.

Kira shrugged walking over to Nyama's side, " I don't really know guys and we could follow Nyama's idea and see if that could be useful if not we'll we will think of something." Kira replied.

"Upstream it is," Figgy said, though the prospect of wandering around in the midday sun didn't appeal to him all that much. He scratched behind his ear and produced a termite, pinching it between thumb and fore laws. to Kira he said, " I don't suppose you know any monkeys who would groom my coat for free?"

Nyama began plodding along, looking hesitantly towards the glistening backs of the crocodiles in the river down the slope. She quickly looked away, she didn't want them following her. She began to think about what they would do if this plan failed, and the whole of the river was unending or if all of it was infested with crocodiles. She let out a heavy exhale of air. "So, Kira, what's your prides history?" Every pride had its history, and she figured time would pass faster if they talked.

Figgy waddled along behind the two lionesses, trying not to scratch at the termites too much or drag his belly through the dirt. "Yeah," he said. "They have a nice bit of land. Is Pride Rock natural or constructed?"

Kira shrugged " I don't know myself because I'm new to the pride as well." She answered sighing looking ahead of herself as she walked

"Oh, well what brought you here then?" Nyama spoke, the sun on her back begin to make her fur glisten, and heating her. She herself was lucky she had found Kira and Figgy when she did, she didn't believe she would last any more than two days in the state she was in. She turned around to face Figgy and let out a small giggle as she watched his ear flick to expel the termites. Then she coughed and shook her head, she was no cub and so she couldn't behave like one.

"Ok... Do you know if there's a safer place to cross the river?" Figgy said to Kira. When Nyama giggled he grinned at her, only for her to glance away. It made him frown. Was she just shy, or did he misread her? With no other way of telling, he took a deep breath, then said, "Hey Nyama, once we're somewhere safe, I don't suppose you'd mind helping me be rid of these termites, would you? I'll catch something special for you tonight." His green eyes flashed playfully.

Wgen Figgy called out to her she turned her head to face him, she couldn't help but let a small smile spread across her maw, "So, if I help you with your little termite issue, you'll catch me something?" She paused, making a thoughtful noise before letting her small smile spread into a larger one, "Sure, as long as you let me catch it!" She gave a short, childish giggle and turned back to face the road ahead, still smiling.
She couldn't believe how immature she was being, but she just couldn't stop smiling, a small bounce in her step.

Figgy also grinned, but raised one eyebrow. "So you want me to catch you something that you can then catch? Like... catch it, then let it go? Or do you just want to catch it yourself? And do you want to catch it the old fashioned way... or the modern, sophisticated way, with ropes and vines?" he winked.

She laughed "Well I meant hunt together, but let me deal the final hit, but maybe I'll just let you slave away with your funny contraptions while I watch." she gave a light giggle. "How many funny modern and sophisticated contraptions do you know how to make?" She looked at the male, surprised that he could be so intelligent to think up these ways of hunting and uses of things that were otherwise overlooked. His bright eyes caught her off guard. She hadn't ever looked at them properly, and her mouth contorted itself into a combination of happy and confused, though she soon realised shed slowed her walking and sped up to catch up with the others.

(What others? There's only Kira:))
"Well let's see," Figgy said, looking overly thoughtful. "There's the deadfall trap, the snag, the net, a blanket I've been working on for camouflage... that's probably it but each time I make them they're different. I need to fit them to different trees, or make them out of different materials. It's all about improvisation. You know, you're pretty smart yourself. Probably my fastest..." He stopped as Accalia ran off ahead, puzzled. Nevertheless he shuffled forwards to try and keep up, but then he noticed one of their companions was gone. "Nyama, which way did Kira go?"

Nyama panicked, she had failed to explain why she had sped ahead. Kira had gone. She looked towards the river, but there was no sign of her there. As Figgy called out to her she slowed down, her eyes still frantic, "I don't know where she went? She was just here.. Should we wait? Or keep walking, or try to find her??" She was overwhelmed. She rarely dealt with stress in a good way.

"Her footprints go back to the river..." Figgy said, sniffing. "My guess is she decided to cross the river and head back into the pridelands the short way. Didn't hear any crocodiles or thrashing... I guess she made it?" he said hopefully, then looked over at Nyama. "I guess it's just you and me then, until we get back." He tried not to sound too happy about getting some time alone with the pretty little lioness, but couldn't help but smile softly.
