At this moment, Hiamovi came along. He had finally reached the magnificent, beautiful Pridelands, when he noticed the three other lions, feasting on the antelope they had. Plucking up his courage, Hiamovi stepped towards the trio and announced, "I am Hiamovi, and I would like to join your pride."

Kira glanced towards him and smiled " you would have to speak with the king and queen first." she said as she walks over to him.

[cheezeegriff]

"ANOTHER outsider?" Figgy said, raising his head from where he lay beneath the trees. He managed a smile. "You've found the omegas of the pride, I'm afraid. Go see king Simba. Although if you want to eat first..." He looked over to Kira's catch, and sniffed. "Where's Nyama?"

Kira looks back over to Figgy and shrugs as she sat down. " Must be somewhere around..." she muses as her eyes gazed around then stopping to rest on Figgy.

Figgy pulled himself up, trying his best to make his huge stomach as small as possible - so nobody would notice how much he's already eaten. He eyed off the antelope enviably, sniffing the air. "I hope she's not too long," he said, then glanced about the grassy horizon. "And I hope she's ok."

Kira nodded as she started grooming her fur. " Yeah I hope so too.." she said in between cleaning her paws after she was done grooming she then looked up and watched for any signs of Nyama.

Figgy flicked his tail, swatted the flies from his eyes. He sniffed the antelope, then looked at the horizon, then back to the antelope. Finally he sighed. "It's been quite a while," he said, then stood, stretching. "I suppose we should go look for her. I saw hyena tracks when I came in here. Wouldn't want to do nothing then find out something had happened to her." He looked back at the antelope one more time, sadly, then said, "Where did you last see her?"

Kira stood up and stretched as well. " Hm..last time I saw her was when we both were taking down the antelope." She replied and walks over to Figgy.

[cheezeegriff]

"Nyama?" Figgy called, walking off between the grass. "Are you out there?" After a few moments, when he didn't get a reply, he turned to Kira. "We should walk a dozen paces apart. Keep your nose to the ground, but don't forget to look around occasionally." He turned back and walked into the long grass. "Nyama!"

Kira nods and did what Figgy told her to do as she called Nyamas name as well but she was only greeted by dead silence.

Figgy kept walking, calling out Nyama's name, until he caught a whiff of something on the long strands of grass. A female lioness. He hadn't known Nyama very long to be sure it was her, but the grass was pressed down as if a lioness (or something) had walked that way recently.

"Kira, I have a scent," he said, and started following the trail, nose to the ground.

" Alright." Kira says and she walks besides him as she presses her nose to the ground following the trial as well.

Figgy kept on sniffing until the grass became shorter, patchy, more brown than green. He hardly noticed. Nyama could be injured for all they knew. He had to find her. But when the grass finally disappeared altogether and he could see a lion's paw prints in the sand, he knew he must be onto something. Then the paw prints disappeared into water, and he lost the scent. When he looked up he couldn't believe his eyes.

Before him was a wasteland, stretching into the horizon. Flat, featureless except for the occasional dead tree, or collection of termite mounds. The outlands. But the paw prints continued on the opposite bank. Figgy turned around. "Kira, you should stay here. I'm just going to have a quick look," he said, then stepped gingerly into the water, looking up and down for crocodiles. He cringed when the murky water touched his belly, but kept going until it was only his back and head sticking out, paddling slowly to the other side.

Kira shook her head and followed after Figgy. " No way am I going to be left behind I'm going to find Nyama as well with you." She said and cringed at the cold murky water as she steps into the water padding slowly and carefully glancing about for crocodiles she saw none she went inside the water deeper then before.

Figgy kept paddling. Thankfully the water wasn't that deep. Occasionally he could touch the slimy, muddy bottom. Little bubbles arose around him whenever he did as methane gas was released from the bottom of the water. When he finally reached a submerged log he could stand on, he climbed on board gladly. "Phew," he said. "I hate swimming." Then the log started to rise, lifting him out of the water. He looked down and saw its bumpy surface break into clear air, felt and heard it growl menacingly. "Oh, cru-" he managed, before the crocodile turned, splashing him into the water, and lunged at him with a mouthful of menacing yellow teeth.

Kira turns and jumps on the crocodiles mouth shutting it close as she indicated for him to run. " Hurry and run." she said as she ran forwards.

Figgy kicked off the crocodile and paddled for his life, pushing off the river bed where he could, stirring up mud and grime. To his right he saw ripples in the water. "Ahh... Kira..." he managed, then a wave crested over his mouth, and he was too busy coughing and spluttering to warn Kira further.

Kira heard her name being called so she turns around and saw Figgy her eyes widening, she starts to paddle quickly and furiously with wild strokes, finally she washed up on the shore spluttering and coughing.

Figgy paddled until he felt his stomach brush against the riverbed. Try as he might, he couldn't get enough purchase on anything to push himself out of the water. A quick glance over his shoulder showed him several crocodiles closing in. To Kira he turned. "Uhh... a little help?"

Kira nods and got ahold of his paws pulling him onto the riverbed next to her.

"Thanks," Figgy said with a gasp, surprised at Kira's strength! Then he glanced over his shoulder. The crocodiles hadn't given up. "Quick," he said, pulling her by the scruff of the neck like a cub. "Run!"

Kira let out a gasp but nods quickly starting to run not losing a second to think, just knowing that she had to run and not stop until they both were far away from the crocodiles.

Figgy struggled to keep up with Kira, but he didn't stop, didn't even dare to look behind, in case the crocodiles were still following. He ran up the slope and stopped at the base of a termite mound, and only then did he check over his shoulder - safe. Relief flooded him more thoroughly than the water of the river, and he flopped onto his stomach. Then stood up again. "Termites! Ow, ah!" he said, scratching in panic.

"Kira?! Figgy??" Nyama frantically searched the area around her for any signs of her recently found comrades. She ran as fast as she could to the spot she had last seen them. There was an antelope carcass lying in the shrub, and she desperately sniffed for a sign of either of them in a panicked frenzy.

The smell of the antelope was too strong, and she bent down to the meat, taking several sizeable chunks before lifting her head once more to try and find figgy and Kira. Her legs stretched out in front of her as she began tracking the paw prints she hoped to be those of Figgy and Kira.

A glistening pool of water was in front of her and she looked up with hope in her stomach. But the flock of now returning crocodiles made her hackles prick up with fear.

The pained cries of Figgy distracted her, and she raced away from the pool for a bit before looping around to where she hoped to find Figgy and Kira, shouting out their names as loud as she could.

Figgy stopped his scratching momentarily. "Hey. D'you hear that?" He said, then a grin slowly spread across his chubby face. "Nyama!" he called, then charged down the slope as fast as his big stomach would allow and threw his arms around the newly found lioness, bowling her over in the process. "I thought we'd never see you again! Where did you go? What happened? Are you alri... Oh." Then he realised he'd been lying on top of her. Red faced, he pulled himself up. "Uh... Sorry. Heh." Then he grinned, offering her his paw to help her stand. "I don't know what came over me... Guess I'm more used to losing people than finding them."

Kira heard her name being called and she rushed over to Nyama smiling relief on her face " im so glad we found you!" She said looking at Nyma and giving her a hug once Figgy got off Nyama.

At the sight of Figgy and Kira a huge smile of relief stretched across Nyama's maw. She laughed as Figgy ran down the slope, still laughing as his body flopped on top of hers. She giggled as he realised he was still on top of her and graciously took his paw and stood, hugging Kira back.

"I'm so glad I found you again! And don't worry about it Figgy!! Same here, and I'm just really glad to back with the pair of you." She was surprisingly light hearted and she smiled at the pair of lions.
