Figgy bowed. "A pleasure to meet a fellow wanderer." He took her paw and kissed it, green eyes sparkling. "I'm just showing Kira how to hunt with traps. Stay here with us for a while and we'll have you fed in no time.
"Kira, pull the rope up from the other end so you can snag the loop on that log. That's it. Then pull. Give that branch some tension!"

(np) Kira nodded and did as told pulling the rope from the other end so she could snag the loop on the log then pulling it

Nyama was lightly startled by the other lion, figgy, as he kissed her paw. She wasn't used to such a greeting, but once her paw once once again on the ground her smile winded very slightly. She bowed once more, in gratitude of their help. Then she slowly sat down, watching intently as Kira followed Figgy's instructions

"What kind of prey are you aiming to capture?" she said curiously, she wasn't familiar with traps, though shed seen others use them, and wondered just how strong they could be.

Kira glanced at Nyma and smiled " wilder beest" she replied.(I have a private rp that I would like to do with you its title is lion king rp 2 please reply on it as well)

Nyamas eyes widened, "wilderbeast?" she repeated excitedly. She couldn't remember the last time she had tasted wilderbeast "any way I can help?"

((we should wait for cheese again))

Kira chuckled " sure.." she said. ((yeah))

"Here," Figgy said. "We have two traps set up, but could do with more rope. Let me show you how to make it from grass runners. Start by pulling up grass, like this." He took a tuft in his mouth and pulled. Sure enough, he pulled up a grass runner too, which he pulled from the earth and snipped at either end. "It's lots of work, but if you don't like running around so much it's another way of hunting. Works really well, for me!"

Nyama watched intently as Figgy carefully, quickly and precisely make a long thin tangle of rope. Her eyes widened in amazement but as she realised they had she quickly returned to a flat expression, never had she been so memorised so quickly, she was rather embarrassed. She carefully tried to copy Figgy, easily pulling the plant from the ground, but struggling with the rest. After a few long minutes she finally finished and handed it to Figgy, a hopeful smile on her face. It wasn't as exact as Figgies, but it was close.
"okay.. Now what?" She asked, seceratly eager to make her own trap.

Kira grinned " eager aren't we?" she teasingly said

"Tie it to the tree there, as Kira has done," he said. "Then we sit back and watch."

Kira sat back on her haunches and watched Nyama.

With Kira's teasing comment, her ears went back against her head and she became quite embarrassed. However, she quickly got back to finishing the trap, desperately trying to keep the smile off of her face. She did as she had observed Kira doing when she arrived, and once done turned and walked to sit beside Kira. Patiently watching the two traps with eager eyes.

Kira smiled " no need to be embarrased Nyama" she soothingly said to the other lioness.

Nyama smiled a little at that "Thanks Kira." she said quietly. The soothing tone of her voice allowed her to relax somewhat, and she focused on the traps, her tummy letting out a low growl.

Kira smiled " anytime nyama" she said and focused her gaze on the traps when she heard nyamas stomach let out a low growl she chuckled " I could get a antelope for you in the mean while what do you say nyama?" she asked the lioness.

"Hey, what about me?" Figgy said. "It's hard work being a teacher, you know."

Kira glanced at Figgy and rolled her eyes " didn't you eat the antelope last night?"

[Accalia]

Nyama looked to Kira with a hopeful smile spread wide across her face, "That would be amazing!! Thank you. But dont waste reserves if prey is dwindling." Honestly, she didn't know much about how much prey was around here, but by the way Kira had offered her food she presumed it wasn't too difficult to find and catch prey.

Figgys comment made her giggle and her eyes closed as she laughed. "I cant eat a while antelope on my own figgy, you can have some of mine if you'd like."

Kira smiled and nodded " okay"

Figgy grinned at Nyama. "You're as generous as you are beautiful. I promise I'll try not to eat TOO much." He finished his rope and stood. "There! Another one. Let's set this up. WIth three traps we should eat very well." He walked past Nyama, looking at her in her blue eyes, standing perhaps a little too close and smiled softly. "I'm glad I'm not the only one new to these lands," he said, then wandered off.

Kira flicked her paw around and watched the exchange between Figgy and nyama.

Nyama was taken aback by Figgys comment, her cheeks flushing with colour at his words. But she just tried to laugh it off. She watched as he finished his rope, still amazed at how fast he was able to complete it. She grinned at the idea of having three prey dead to feast one once they wondered into the traps. When Figgy walked past her his scent was overwhelming, and she looked straight into his large green eyes as he looked into her own eyes. She gave a small smile at his comment, just nodding slightly in agreement.

She looked to Kira and smiled, "Do you want some company while you get the antelope? I dont think it fair for you to retrieve something for me alone when I'm the one intruding on your land."

Figgy frowned when Nyama suggested she and Kira should stick together, but eventually he nodded. "Good idea," he said. "Between what your claws catch and what our ropes catch, we'll eat very well indeed. Say," he said, putting the rope aside and looking at the pair of lionesses, "If we catch enough, we should invite the rest of the pride. I think that would help the king and queen look favourably on us newcomers. Don't you think, Kira?"

Kira nodded " sure.." she replied to both Nyama and Figgy.

Nyama nodded in agreement with the other two "I think we could use all the help we can get to charm them over," she said with a slight snile, she was aprehensive of approaching the king and queen and asking for help, let alone saying that she had already recieved some.

She looked to Kira, "Lead the way." She stood and stretched in preparation to get the antelope. She was exhausted, it was true, but she was so hungry that the pure desperation to eat would be enough to drive her enough to bring one down.

Kira nodded and stood, she stretched slightly and padded towards the hunting grounds.

Figgy watched the two lionesses leave, paused in his braiding. It had been a while since he'd kept the company of two beautiful females. Glancing to the clouds above, he said, "You know, I think mother would be even more impressed if I arrived home with a mate at my shoulder." Then he smiled. It was a far off dream, but maybe...
He finished his rope and set up another trap, then started on another. By that time the sun was rising high in the sky, and he could hear animals coming to the pond to drink. Some zebras approached cautiously, obviously smelling the presence of a carnivore, but when they saw him they relaxed. One of them openly laughed: how could such a fat lion pose any sort of threat? Figgy glowered at the offending zebra, and said beneath his breath, "I'll get you yet, you tasty stripey morsel."
True enough, a short while later there was a snap, the stamping of hooves and the whinnying of a zebra, caught in his trap. Figgy heaved himself to his feet and waddled over. "Who's laughing now, eh?" he said, before smothering the beast with his mouth. When the zebra stopped kicking he let it down, happy for it to be part of the meal, then went back to weaving.
Kira and Nyama were taking their time, though. It wasn't long before the smell started to call to his appetite. He was still full from earlier, but zebra was something he hadn't tried for a while. Try as he might to ressit, the smell kept pestering him, and eventually he sighed, casting the rope aside. "A little bit won't hurt," he said, and waddled over to the carcass. He opened the stomach and tasted a bit of the meat, then launched in, eating until his own stomach felt like bursting. When he finally finished there was a substantial amount of the zebra missing, and his stomach was so full he could barely walk.

Kira after a while with Nyma at her side and a antelope in her mouth appeared, she dragged it towards where Figgy was giving him a amused look she saw he had eaten the zebra and now he would surely slow them down again, she cornrinued to walk on towards where Figgy was finally reaching him she set the antelope down on the ground then she stepped back a little, waiting for Nyma to take her fill first after all Nyma was the one who needed the food in the first place.
