Lion King rp

Kira was stalking a antelope, as she leapt forward she heard someone coming up behind her. She continued to concentrate on the antelope before she was close enough and pounced on it. The antelope began to freak out and ran forward trying to buck her off. When it finally succeed Kira looked around to find she was in the outcast territory. (how was that for a starter?..)

(It's efficient. I'll give you that!

Figgy was also in the outcast territory. He was making his way to the pridelands when he saw a lioness throw off the antelope. Running forward as quickly as his rotund body would allow, he bent down and sniffed the lioness. "Hey, are you ok?" he said.

((thank you! and yay finally someone joined)) Kira glanced at the lion who was sniffing her and she backed away cautious " yeah.. Im fine who are you?" she said.

"I'm Figgy," Figgy said, bowing. "Inventor and adventurer, extraordinaire. You're a lioness off the pridelands, yes?" He took her paw in his and kissed it. "It's true what they say about the beauty of the lionesses there, then." He grinned, green eyes sparkling.

Kira yanked her paw away from his and she narrowed her eye leaping onto a rock " yes I am a lioness of the pridelands what's it to you?" she bit out.

"What's it to me? what's it to anyone?" he said. "Everyone and anyone around these parts knows the pridelands. They're some of the greenest and most fertile lands in Africa. I was hoping to go there, and make a home there. At least for a while. You could show me the way, couldn't you. Would you?" He gave her his best smile.

Kira jumped down from the rock and analysed the lion giving him a once over before nodding. " fine follow me" she said walking towards the PrideLands.

Figgy followed, though not very quickly. He struggled to keep up with the lioness but did his best not to complain. Gradually the grass became greener and taller. It sprang under his step, and he smiled. It was good to be heading to a place so full of life.

Kira glanced behind her at the lion and slowied down her pace for him to follow her quickly as she saw him struggling to keep up with her she walked towards PrideRock.

"Thanks," Figgy said when he saw the lioness slow down for him. "I know what you're thinking: how's a lion as... well.. fat as me survive in the outlands? Well I didn't originally come from the outlands. I came from a jungle beyond them. There was lots of food there. I'm looking forward to some juicy antelope though," he said, licking his lips. "Say, would you mind telling me your name? I feel a little disadvantaged," he said.

Kira nodded " my name is Kira.." she replied and walked up PrideRock as they reached.

Figgy was awe-inspired. So the tales were true. Pride rock was a magnificent structure. But he stopped at the base of the hill. He was an outsider here. He doubted outsiders were readily accepted.

Kira stopped and turned to look at Figgy she then rolled her eyes walking towards the king and queens den she saw them coming out and she bowed to them " your majesty's" she said while bowing.

When Figgy saw Kira bowing to two regal-looking lions, his blood ran from his face. This was the king and queen! Part of him wanted to run away, to find some long grass and hide. But he made himself stand still and wait for their judgement.

Kira stopped bowing and she spoke up gesturing to Figgy " he would like to join the pride for a while.." she said waiting for the king and queen to reply.

Figgy took a deep breath, then marched up the hill. "Greetings, your magesties. I'm Figgy, and I've come a long way to be here. I promise I won't be a burden. I'm not much of a hunter, but I can make things - all sorts of things - out of vines or ropes made from grass. Would you please allow me to stay in your lands?" He smiled nervously.

Kira rolled her eyes and flicked her tail around waiting for them to answer. The king spoke up. a gentle smile on his face " of course..." he said his voice rumbling and the queen just smiled nodding.

Figgy bowed very deeply. "Thank you, your majesties. You won't be disappointed. I'll begin working immediately. I'll show you a new way of hunting." With that he bowed, and waddled off down towards the grasslands. He searched carefully for the correct grasses to weave and then began making rope.

Kira walked off after Figgy watching him as she hid in the tall grass carefully her tail which was flicking now was down.

It took a long time, but soon Figgy had made a good length of rope. He bundled it up and then carried it in his mouth to a tree way out in the pridelands, where he could see the antelope loved to play. Then he found a nice stone and threw it over a strong branch in the tree. He tied it off, then used one of the roots as purchase on the ground. Then he moved off a good distance away to watch, making another rope as he did so. He could smell that Kira was nearby, but ignored her, continuing his work and humming.

Kira watched him work impressed even she did admit it that Figgy was good at this as she continued watching.

Figgy finished making his next rope just as the sun started to set. Antelope were coming to shelter under the tree for the night. Before they got too close, Figgy called out to Kira, "Psst. Hey, if I catch something, will you have dinner with me?" He grinned, green eyes sparkling in the last of the sun.

((okay)) Kira narrowed her obsidian black eyes with tints of red in them and she smirked " fine" she said.

Figgy grinned, then went back to his rope.
The sun went down completely and the moon arose. The antelope milled around the tree, and for a while Figgy was worried nothing would happen, but then he heard the familiar "Thwack" of a trap being sprung. "That's it!" he said, and leapt up, shuffling over to the tree and the antelope that was stuck there. All the others had run away. It was stuck by its back leg. Figgy quickly reached up with his paws and held on, crushing the windpipe with his jaw. Then he untied the rope and the antelope fell to the ground. "Dinner is served, my sweet Kira," he said. "Bon appetite!" He stepped aside so she could take her fill first.

Kira rolled her eyes but a grin slowly made its way onto her face as she stepped forward leaning down to take a bite.

Figgy took the queue and ate from the other side, doing his best to be polite and not slurp. He said, "So, Kira. Have you lived in the pridelands all your life, or did you travel here like I did?"

Kira glanced up from eating and as she finished eating the piece of meat in her mouth she spoke " no.. I once lived in the outlands but after the war simba accepted the outlanders into the pride and that is how I came to live here in the pridelands.." she said answering his question and she bended down to take another chunk of meat into her mouth.

"He seems a generous king," Figgy said, eating a bit more. "Not every king that would let a rogue enter his lands. Then again, I suppose he didn't think I'm much of a threat." He grinned self-consciously. "Well, not unless he walks into one of my traps, anyway."

Kira chuckled and nodded " yeah" she said. ((aw ok bye))

Figgy frowned, looking the young lioness over with a new eye. "I could teach you, if you want," he said. "How to make these traps. I don't often have many people who are interested in this way of hunting. But as you can see: it works!"
