The sun broke the horizon on an early morning in the savannah coloring the plains in hues of red, orange, and yellow. A young lioness wakes from her peacefully slumber her scars becoming more prononced in the newborn sun.
Asha lifts herself off the cold rock she had been sleeping on and streched out her stiff muscles as she looked around at the other lions as they begin to wake

((May i join this? I'd be using Leto in this RP. ^^)) The morning dew was still hugging the stray strands of yellow grass; quiet paw steps stirred the moist dirt along the abandoned ant-trail. Pale-ice blues scanned the quiet savannah, nose twitching for scents drifting on the cool dawn breeze; the seeker’s maw exhaled a short sigh, he knew these lands were inhabited but even so he dared cross the border. This was after all land ruled by a relatively small pride, at least that was all he had been able to discern from the various hints in the environment as well as the relatively fresh scent mark’s along the border. It wasn’t like the eerie eyed male had any nefarious intents in mind, all he sought was passage, this pride or the lands was not of any consequence or interest to him. Uttering a soft huff the young male trudged onwards the moist grass hugging his sleek form, a soft involuntary yawn suddenly left his maw reminding the lion he had yet to catch a moment’s sleep, perhaps if he was careful and lucky he would slip through unnoticed, only the serenity of neutral grounds would allow the weather-beaten wanderer a moment's rest. |

The lioness raised her head into the air stareing off into the outskirts of the pridelands her eyes catching a small tan speck as moved across the border instantly catching her attention. She began joging towards the animal in the distance hoping that something interesting would happen.

Ukan, the honey badger, quickly awoke from his slumber, hearing the footsteps of a rogue atop his den. "Honey, is everything okay?" his mate, Anga, asked. "Yeah. It'll be fine. Probably just another damn tourist stepping over our den. He'll learn real fast" Ukan replied, making sure not to awake his son. "Oh, Ukan, don't go beating another innocent passerby half to death" his wife teased. "He was far from innocent, darling, he looked quite hungrily into the den" Ukan explained. "Ukan, the king ended up getting involved and it was a real awkward chat" Anga recounted. "Hey, I actually enjoyed that conversation a lot. Now don't be worried, I'll be done in a minute" he stalled, walking out the mouth of the hole in the ground.

Asha noticed a familiar nose poke out of the ground near the lion's feet. A small smile formed as she recalled the incedent with the last unfortunate lion that had tred across this badger's den. The king hadn't been pleased when he found out about it thats for sure but that only made her like the small family even more. Ukan was known around the pride for being fiercely protective and everyone tried to stay far away at all times.

Ukan blinked as he left the hole. "All right, if you're here to eat me, i'll beat you half to death. But if you so much as look at my family wrong, you'll get the full package!" After blinking one more time, he could finally make out who the trespasser was. "Oh! Oh, Asha. Just you. Sorry about... uh... that. Well, you usually steer clear of my den in the morning. Urgent business this morning?" He asked, trying to shake off the awkward moment.

Asha laughed "It's ok Ukan I've just come to see if that lion over there is suppose to be here if not I'll have to bring him back to the king" She explained as she looked off towards the trespasser in the distance her eyes narrowing "you could come if you want" she said as she looked back towards the badger "I could use some back up'' she smiled

Ukan stretched out a bit, yawning. "Well, Ill do it. Beating up a rogue is a good way to start your morning anyway. Who knows, maybe me and the King will talk about something other than how it's unacceptable to attack an 'innocent rogue' who 'didn't know where my den was'" he replied, chuckling a bit at the memory. "Ah, good times. Anyway, let's get going." He finished, gesturing Asha to lead on.

"Maybe we won't have to beat this one up" she smiled as she began walking towards the rouge her features becoming more serious the closer they became.

Leto had stopped upon smelling the approaching lioness, but now he could see her, and the fact that she had non-leonine company. The duo was an unusual sight as far the seeker was concerned. However the soldier stood his ground against the apporach.

Ukan approached with Asha beside him, trying to figure out the rogue's intentions as he studied him. "Ah, the soldier type" he whispered to the lioness accompanying him. "I've dealt with these types walking around the desert for two years. Let me see if I can handle this guy." Ukan cleared his throat for a moment before walking up to the stranger and speaking. "Hey" he asked. "You some sort of rogue looking for trouble?"

The seeker shook his head at the badgers words, his only reaction at first which was met with nothing buy verbal silence. "If I was looking for trouble, I wouldn't have come to this desolate wasteland." Leto scoffed throwing a idle glance around him, indeed these lands were frankly nothing to get too excited about at all, much less risking injury over. "And suppose I did have nefarious purposes, revealing myself such as this would've been the mistake of a rank amature." pale ice-blue eyes stared down at the smaller creature, lifting eyes briefly to regard the approaching lioness.

"Ambiguous type? Well, I was a rogue like you for a couple years. Crossed the Sahara and the jungles, learned never to trust those types. You look like the kind of lion who overthrows kings and kills the cubs for fun, if I'm being completely honest here" He said, hoping to stir some sort of reaction out of this stone wall.

"the rouge must have his reasons for crossing into our pridelands don't you rouge" she questioned her gaze moving to her friend before returning to the rouge her eyes glided suspiciously over him as she waited for an answer

The soldier rolled his eyes, "Why must I have a reason?" indeed as far as the male was concerned he didn't really need a reason to come to this backwater of a prideland. "Maybe I am just passing through." he shrugged, despite keeping his calm demeanor Leto remained alert; after all one could never tell with yunkai, one moment they could be shareing a meal with you and in the next moment outright attack you over a plain remark which set off their petty sensibilities.

Asha's lips twitched upwards in a half smile "Well my friend it is my job to find that reason even when it is burried deep within because everything we do in life must have a reason or it is useless. So let's start with the basics tell us your name and we will tell you ours"

After a brief period of silence, Ukan spoke up, agitated at this waste of time. "I can't give a damn less if you have a reason or not. Make one up or I can personally beat one out of you. I may be smaller than you, but i've won many fights with lions, some of them the soldier type, like you."

Mistiria who hid on the outskirts of the pridelands watched from a distance at what was happening. She stayed just out of sight waiting for something to happen within this mixed match group. She would mind her own business until she was called out to help either side. She was nothing but a rogue herself and could be punished or worst for tresspassing. She had learned that the hard way once before when she was in looking for scrapes of food just laying around.
