Raven sauntered to the nearest watering hole. "Ill never find mom!" She said letting out a sigh. She then arrived at the water and looked down at it seeing her reflection. Raven lifted her paw and scooped up the water and poured it in her mouth. "They said they would be right back...." Raven was confused she waited to hear a sound....nothing. The sun was going down and every second raven would feel more scared and cold then the last. She then curled up into a ball wrapping her tail around her and closed her eyes.

















How was that for a start?

(The start was great)

Mistiria looked around hoping to get some water into her stomach before she collapsed from thirst. It had been more than two days since she met others like her and was feeling alone. She finally found a watering hole and saw that someone had already claimed it. As far as she knew there was danger in meeting new lions one her own. So the small cub couldn't ignore her dry throat any longer and as quietly as she could went to the watering hole to get some water. She could see worry in the sleeping lioness's features but wouldn't pry. She didn't want to wake her up and she couldn't leave her here alone knowing how scary it is to meet new lions alone. So she stood watch for some time over the sleeping lioness.

Raven finally fell into a deep sleep. She started to have a nightmare of something that could be true. Raven rolled around nonstop and kept yelping." Wake up!" she repeated. After what seemed like for ever of that terrible dream, she finally opened her eyes and jumped back seeing another cub about her age in front of her. The cub didn't look like a threat. Raven stared at the cub then at the moon and sighed. "Its still night!" She whispered to herself.

Mistiria looked on with worry as she stood watch over this cub as the nightmare she was having ended. Mistiria's eyes were narrow as she stood watch making she no one hurt this cub the way she was hurt once before. When she heard movement in the night she turned to the other cub to find that she was awake. Her cool exterior and calm nature was all around her from what she had already been through herself. Finally she took a deep breath and sat down as she spoke to the other cub.

"I'm Mistiria and I know it may not be more but I thought you could use someone to watch over you as you slept. I know from experience what other lions are like when they see a cub on their own. Some are really nice and others can scare a cub to panic and terror. I was found by the nicest lioness then as we started talking we met other lions as well. Though I thought the nice lioness and I could be friends I felt scared and alone. I couldn't go home and I didn't want to hurt anyone but I think I did hurt those around me," said Mistiria as she sat there in front of the other cub.

A lean yet muscular and rather rugged looking lioness, emerged from the tall grass and was walking towards the waterhole. Vitani had left Simba's or well in this case Kiara's pride a while back to go on her own journey, the pridelanders well didn't trust her very much same with the ex outlanders too as they find her very similar looking to her mother Zira not to mention she was her 2nd in command too which didn't help.

For Vitani it made little sense, she didn't have the same physique or even fur color to Zira she had tan colored fur, similar to a normal pridelander lioness. But whatever their reasoning for distrusting her is it most likely involves her ties and loyalty to Zira and being trained to kill Simba.

She sighed, well guess it was time to put the past behind her. She lowered her head above the water to take a drink, her ears twitched hearing other lions nearby and quickly raised her head up and scanned the area.

(Yea i decided to join with a canon character ;p ).

Raven began to feel a little more comfortable around the cub. She was actually happy to have some company. Tho she thought it was a little strange for a random cub to come out of no where and introduce herself, she was relieved. The nightmare was just awful that she wouldn't want to wake up alone, even though she will have to get use to that. "I'm raven." She said gently in a calm voice. "What a nice story." The story is what mainly calmed her down. "So are you out here alone too? Raven asked curiously. Then raven began to sniff the cold and windy air. She could scent something strange near them. The scent wasn't clear since it was so windy. Perhaps another lioness?

Mistiria looked at her and smiled at her before answering the question. She to caught wind of a scent near by and she was willing to go look for the other lioness but chose not to leave the other. She watched from where she sat near to Raven as her smile faded into a concerned look. She had to keep in mind that sometimes bad things happen to those who just jump into some unknown territory. As far as she know this could turn out either way.

"I'm alone when my brother goes home so our father doesn't worry about him. I don't belong there for some reason. I ran away after my mother stopped caring about what happened to me. So from time to time my brother makes the long journey to come see me. I stay on the outskirts of other prides land but I don't enter unless I see a kill near the border so I can run out should anyone see me. It is the same way when it comes to getting water," said Mistiria with a more concerned look when she looked at the other cub.

The words coming out of the other cub made her a little sad, she wanted to ask questions about her story but was to afraid to speak. She could tell the other cub also caught the scent of the nearby lioness. When raven opened her mouth to speak, no words came out. Raven was so eager to ask this one question. So she calmed down and looked at the other cub in a concerned way. "Was it because your a white lioness? If so i too get picked on for it, but mainly its because I have two different colored eyes. This morning my family was walking with me till all of a sudden they said they would be right back but never where. Anyway I'm sure they have like a whole search party looking for me!" Raven said with an unsure look and smile.


Raven lied down and waited for her to answer her question she had asked. This lioness seemed good enough to trust, besides raven needed somebody to look out for her. Raven showed her trust just by the way she looked at the other lioness in such a calm and soothing way.

Mistiria thought before she answered choosing her words carefully with her answer and explained, "I'm not sure she never said why she started to dislike me. Just everytime she called my brother and sisters to eat she would just growl at me when I wanted to eat. I always waited for my chance to get something in my stomach too. Then one night when everyone was asleep I set off on my own. I don't think I will ever understand why she didn't care I just know that she didn't want me around."

She thought again on the answer but it was the truth of what had made her leave the safety of her mother. She maybe alone now but maybe her brother could answer that question for her.

Raven was a little surprised at the cub for not knowing why her mother disliked her. Raven felt bad for the food part and began to wonder if she had eaten for a while. Raven stretched while yawning and tried not to close her eyes, she didn't want to have another nightmare or the same one. But every time the cold air blew, she wanted to curl up and close her eyes. Again raven thought about what the cub tolled her and felt the sorrow again. To make her feel better raven gave the cub a long warm hug. Hugs make everything better right? Then raven thought maybe they could be friends...?


"Hey could you be my friend..?" Raven asked while taking her arms off the cub. "Hey maybe I could even meet your brother and we could hang out and play together!" Raven began to talk fast and over think herself as usual when she gets close to someone. Raven lied down on her back and let out a big smile showing her teeth and closing her eyes tightly at the cub waiting for an answer.

"You want to be friends with me that would be great. I'd like you to meet him but he's a black lion and I'm afraid I didn't really know who to play. My mother never approved anything that I did with my siblings. But I'm a fast learner and I can keep watch until your family comes back for you. Until then I can teach you how to live life alone without them," answered Mistiria as she smiled again forgetting to keep her own guard up and getting excited.

She welcomed the warm hug and smiled watching the Raven lay on her back trusting her as much as she was trying to trust back. But the thought of just being a cub again made her let down her guard and be a cub made her happy once again. She wanted to let her know that she trusted her but she didn't want her to leave her like the others had. Mistiria then laid on her back beside Raven looking up at the night sky. Silently wishing that she could find out why her mother just let her leave the way she had.

"Playing is really nothing to learn you just have fun!" "I can't believe I actually have someone I can trust now!" Raven was thrilled and so excited she couldn't speak. A real friend is something raven has been yearning for for a long time now. Now all of a sudden she gets a friend just like that?! Especially a friend that will teach her how to survive while she waits for her parents to show up! "Thank you so much!!" Raven yelled in excitement.


Then laying down next to raven was her best friend right there smiling and looking at the stars. Raven looked up and watched the stars with mistiria. And then all the terrible thoughts left ravens mind and she could now sleep knowing there was someone there to watch over her. Now raven could get some sleep and lied her head on mistiria, falling in to a good dream. The wind blew stronger and the stars began to shine brighter, this was a start to great friends.

The night sky looked comforting to Mistiria as well and she fell into a calm sleep so she could be alert at the slightest sound if anyone comes about. She could feel safe in numbers now that she had someone to be with her even if it was until Raven's family comes back for her. This time with her new friend was going to be the best time of her life since she started meeting other lions. She smiled in her sleep as she thought about everything that has happened to her until now. It was like every sound had her awake with her protective nature was enough to jolt her awake tine and time again.
