About time we had one of these. Now we can stop massacring that poor role-play idea thread! 

Here is where all Pride Premier role-players can discuss the role-play, ideas, characters, character creation, plot, and sub-plot ideas. The current posting order is also available here. :3

I had this idea for a terminal slave, basically as a way to bring in Leto into this RP, as I've kinda wanted to use him here.

So, here goes;

Send out from his homeland of Ti'wenkai, he is a seeker, a soldier trained to scout out foreign lands and gather military intelligence on potential threats to the Ti'wenkai Federation, so by that he's already pretty much an enemy of Pride Premier, as he comes from albeit distant yet foreign pride. Though none of the Premier Pride would know about this, as Leto has kept it a carefully guarded secret, he's specifically trained in subterfuge and espionage among things, unless ofcourse they submit him to telepathic interrogation lol.

After some travel, he comes upon Pride Premier territory and his world is turned upside down Learning of felines with tremedous powers. However he ends up captured and forced into slavery because they think he has magical powers due to his unusual eyes, which is unlike that of any mundane or hell any Pride Premier, even if he insists that he doesn't have any powers at all. Initially the centurions planned to kill him straight off the bat as after all anyone with unsanctioned powers are to be executed. But because it took four mundane Pride Premier soldiers, to restrain him, and they didn't manage to do so before Leto had outright killed two of them, they changed their minds... something was off about this lion.

Although he comes from a nation that practice slavery themselves, Pride Premier's treatment of slaves is barbaric compared to his own at least as far he sees it, and as such he constantly keeps defying the overseers and particularly his Master, ending in him actually causing his Master's death, though it was a killing in self-defense, to prevent getting sexually assaulted. The fact that he a slave who claims not to have any magical powers managed to outright kill one of their own who did, affirms the Premier Pride officials assumptions that Leto is lying , as no mundane slave can kill a Pride Premier.

This renders him one of the Caitiff Scarred but also a Terminal slave, in that he's set to fight in the Arena to the death alledgly. Though the overseers quickly learn that Leto is far from any ordinary lion, he has fighting capabilities, tho mundane in nature that rival Pride Premier's top special forces soldiers. Not only that but he can suffer the gravest injuries and continue fighting when most, even Pride Premier lions would be writhing in agony, this stems from a mundane damage to his nervous system caused by a neuro-toxin from a near lethal snake bite he suffered as a cub, specifically it hamperes its ability to detect pain; which dulls his sense of pain allowing him to fight on even if he is near death.

He becomes something of a beacon to the Varthan Slave Pride, though he never asked for the attention himself. He keeps triumphing out of defiance and spite against his captors, a sentiment someone very special to him inspired in him, and in turn disappointing the officials who hope to see him die. But so far the 'Undying' refuses to be defeated.


Do you guys think this could work as a character? Does it needs some tweaks maybe? Suggestions would be really helpful! ^^'

That sounds really good, the character of Leto can lead to a load of interesting and potential twists etc. in the roleplay. THere's an option and I mean it's up to Astraia but I think he could pull off being the leader of the rebellion, that's just my opinion though.

As you said it's up to Astraia, but I don't think Leto would willingly take the mantle of leadership, at least not voulentarily. Though it could certainly end up forced upon him at some point, perhaps due to the Vartan Slave pride essentially rallying around him. And he as a consequence becomes a center point of the rebellion, even if he is kinda fighting his own personal rebellion first and for most.

Also he doesn't inherently believe that the Pride Premier's slavery is wrong, so actually he's not an abolishionist surprisingly, but rather thinks the Pride Premier's system of slavery is barbaric and backwards compared to what he grew up with in Ti'wenkai, who actually treat their slaves for the most part fairly, and they are considered a valued members of the Federation, even if they go unappriciated.

So his motives to support the rebellion might not actually be the outright emanicpation of his fellow slaves but rather a radical changing of the slavery system, they'd still be slaves as frankly some, or even most of the slaves as far as he sees it would not cope well with complete and total freedom from their Masters (Na'hina is one of those). But just have more liberties over their own lives, general equality and a recognition of their worth, and he seeks to stop the sensless brutal and barbaric treatment of the slaves as a whole, as he considers it the worst and most damning flaw of the Premier Pride, to him it speaks of inept leadership, and poor administration on part of the Emperor and the Premier aristocracy, just to name a few points. But in this case he might as well be arrogant, suggesting that the way /his/ pride does things is the better way and the better culture.

But he does not actively seek the slaves' freedom, only his own.

I actually quite like this idea a lot. He would definitely make a great addition to the role-play!

Although I think I agree with Leto in that his character might not be the best to pull off the slave rebellion. I was thinking that the leader of the slave rebellion would be someone who had grown up in one of the slave prides and secretly had powers and managed to escape. He/she would have to be someone with knowledge on the workings of the slave prides and military rotation system. He/she could even be *GASP* a member of the Pride Premier! All that being said, I think Leto would fit into the rebellion just fine, just maybe not as the leader.

I'm so sorry I'm taking so long guys. :/ I'm just super duper busy. I'll try and finish the NPCs this weekend and then we can get started! Thank you all for being so patient! Also, before we get started it would be awesome if everyone could finish up their character backgrounds for this RP.

No rush, Astraia. I've been busy myself with university stuff, so at least for me it's no problem that starting this thing up has taken a while longer. xP

As for the NPCs, I'll see if I have time to finish what I had in mind for them during the weekend. =3

Also I'm probably going to do some major editing on Eliora now that I have the same name as her. I guess I'm going to try to make her a bit more similar to me. I mean we have some stuff in common, but her appearance and behavior might change along with her powers... I hope you all don't mind. Annnnddd I'll get to work on a new profile pic.

And yeah, the NPCs can take a while indeed lol. I still haven't had time to finish the ones I've got in mind. Too much work to do for university to properly focus on them at the moment. x____x

Alright everyone. I think we should start now, even though the NPCs aren't done. I'm just getting this feeling that we should start now, and then the NPCs will just have to be a continual work in progress. I mean, I don't know about you guys but I'm getting impatient with myself lol and would just really love to create this story.

I'm also going to create a 'Story Thus Far' thread like in Surra for reference. And, I was thinking, what if we did the RP in books? Like "Book One: Destitution/ The Destitute", etc. Just an idea. I kinda like it, but feedback is great. 

If you guys are all ready to get started I'll start the RP probably on Sunday.

Alright well then! Since there have been no objections to leaving the NPC list as a WIP, I'll start the RP! Until the NPC list is finished, feel free to make up your own names for your characters to interact with. I'll add those names to the NPC list and will add more details as time goes on. ^-^

So I changed Eliora's design and then went back to her original design. She was good just the way I made her. She's her own character and definitely isn't me! (We're similar) This was a good lesson for me in character design and creation. Just letting you all know that she is going back to her original design of black fur during the day (plus sun sensitivity) and white during the night.

I just had an interesting idea! What if we had a prophecy of some sort in the slave prides? I'm not sure exactly what it would entail, if we wanted to make it about a savior or something we could. What do you guys think?

Sure why not. In vein of that can imagine the slave prides each have their own cultural quirks and as such each have a slightly different version of the prophecy but agrees on most of it ^^

Make everyone think Leto is the prophesied hero! Then, at the darkest hour, it turns out Maji is the foretold brave hero! The irony!

I'm totally kidding but who knows? It's a roleplay. Planning ahead isn't part of the game. That's what makes it fun!

Or Na'hina is the prophesized heroine, a blind, malnourished slave girl of no physical powress or renown! They'd be doomed! XD

Lol! Well, it doesn't have to be about a hero, it could be about a unification of the slave prides, the death of the Pride Premier, or something like that. It could just be really vague. OR it could have a little nod to like each of our character's! If anyone seriously wanted to be the brave hero the position is open. XD Although Na'hina and Maji are tempting choices!

Oh you guys... I'm having hard time not to burst laughing out loud every time I hear Maji and Na'hina mentioned as supposed heroes. xD

Then again, it could work. best heroes are usually the ones you least suspect to be the hero types. xP

Anyway, this whole prophesy thing sounds good to me. Might be interesting to see if all our characters were somehow mentioned in it too. As for the hero... I'm not sure if Lumiar at least would be good for that role. Sure she's a bit more serious character, but I've never thought her to be quite the hero type. xD Though her flying around with glowing wings, screaming words with her mind at everyone who's close enough to be affected is a rather tempting idea LOL! xDD

.... Anyway........ What do you think of an NPC or few who have suddenly popped up in the slave prides, sprouting out this prophesy? It could be something that was first prophesied years before by someone that, when discovered by Pride Premier, was killed, and now other slaves are beginning to speak it out too (possibly without knowing they're doing so too). Of course these NPCs, if implemented, would pretty much face the same fate, but it'd certainly cause a stir in all the slave prides when their members are being murdered like that. Could be one thing that spurs them closer to open rebellion too.

... I'm just tossing that out there as an idea. It just popped into my mind and I thought I'd share. xD

I'VE GOT IT! The prophecy comes from a member of the premier pride who can travel through time!

Possible scenarios:
1. A long time ago, a lion from the future came to warn the slave prides about the premier pride and mentions a rebellion, maybe a hero, etc.

2. A long time ago, a lion from the future came to warn the premier pride about a rebellion and a menace (hero to the slave prides) who would overthrow the premier pride.

3. All of our characters are sent back in time by a character with such powers and our characters turn out to be the ones that start the prophecy.

We can be really creative with this.
