I've heard of some people complaining about that hyena's look, but personally I think it works fairly well ^^ Being Disney I kind of expect this show to have more of a Jungle Cubs vibe, but if it's anything close to MLP:FiM, I will be very pleased (ok, ok, I admit I've never seen an episode of MLP  but I keep hearing good things about it, and I'd like for those things to be in The Lion Guard as well xD) I too have big hopes for the new voice actors, but I'd be happy if it's true Moira Kelly will be back as Nala. She has expressed before that she would definitely love to be back in the role  |

I think it's to be expected that a lot of the voice actors won't return. It's not like TLG is another full-blown production with the kind of budget to hire the original voices again. Any original cast that does return will be a very pleasant surprise though I would be veery happy if they got Matthew Broderick back! And, neat, now we know for sure that Rafiki is going to be in the show too. The new voice actor seems excited enough I don't know exactly where the hyena picture comes from, but it's apparently from a legit source. I think it's a shame that they seem to have grown pointy wolf ears instead of round hyena ones, but maybe they'll look better from other angles... Who knows. |

I hate it when pre-teen kids get love interests. It's annoying and unrealistic XD I get it if he was a teenager but Simba acted how kids usually do with love. That it's icky and nasty. For Kion to have a love interest at that same age is just stupid. But I see it happen a lot. |

I actually have to agree with you there. I'll bet they'll make it the same platonic friendship thing they did with Simba/Nala. I doubt they'd do it any other way. I mean, their target audience is pretty young. I can't imagine Disney encouraging bf/gf relationships for kindergarteners. lol
That being said, I'm wondering if Zuri is actually going to be a lion. For all we know, she could be another one of the pridelander animals. But Zuri sounds like a name they'd give to a lion cub.

Oooh, pretty  I mean, really. Those backgrounds are beautiful - I sure hope that's the level of quality they're all gonna have! Shame about the eww-y gradient shading on the character there though... It looks so cheap. |

He didn't say anything definitive. Unless someone says "Kovu has already died/will die," I'll refrain from making any assumptions. For all we know, he could mean that they're switching out voice actors. "The Circle of Life" is a pretty vague concept and one that is often misunderstood or misinterpreted. He could have meant that he is returning as the voice of Kovu. I really don't see how they could just kill him off. If that's the case, I can't wait to hear their explanation.  A vague tweet is not a reliable source. You should see some of the things Meghan McCarthy tweets about MLP. lol |

Maybe Marsden isn't allowed to either confirm or deny anything - in response to the Kingdom Hearts question he was very clear, but not at all for the TLG question. (If it's true and Kovu is dead it does fall nicely into my ' Kiara as Queen Victoria' headcanon though xP) |

Hahahaha yep, it's impossible not to fall for Kovu, removing him from the show won't stop that from happening xD Ok, really, I'm with Lyonize too, they're coming up with those conclusions based on that little "evidence"? It really could mean anything... or nothing at all, for that matter xP And having him die is just too heavy for Disney Junior, I highly doubt that's the case. I admit though, it would be an interesting turn of events. Heart crushing, but interesting nonetheless. But yeah, I think we already had enough of that with Mufasa xD "The first night without him.
