That is an idea Ruby, but Kopa`s books that he appeared in, aren`t actually owned by Disney. Disney have nothing to do with Kopa. 

Kopa in fact only exists in TLK: six new adventures books.

The cub shown in the ending of TLK is genderless.

although the cub's name is Fluffy. it's a placeholder name given to Simba and Nala's newborn cub. later on, Fluffy

turns out to be Kiara. Kopa was never mentioned by the
 film makers, they planned to create two cubs, a male and a female, Chaka and Kiara but Chaka was written out in early production and they decide to have just Kiara in the sequel.

Yaay, new concept art! Can't say that I'm particularly thrilled about any of the designs - Fuli possibly apart from the fact that she seems to be a cheetah-leopard hybrid - but, new stuff! Woo!

Also in relation to the other discussions here; I seriously doubt that Disney will ever officially recognise the existence of Kopa, especially not now that they have invented Kion. I understand that some people are very fond of their fan theories and take pride in having "figured everything out", but they're theories and now people are getting upset because Disney are adding content to the TLK universe? Isn't that what everyone has always wanted...? I'm really excited for The Lion Guard, but I must say that the fandom backlash was unexpected.

I also really don't think that they'd account for old royal traditions and kick Kiara out of the succession in favour of Kion. Considering the show's target audience too; imagine Disney trying to explain to 4-year-olds why Kiara can't be queen because she's female... Also fun fact: in Sweden the law of succession recently (as in 35 years ago) changed to let the first-born child, regardless of gender, be first in line for the throne. So female heirs with younger brothers is not unheard of

Remember in TLK2, Kiara was like "I don't wanna be a princess!" and Simba was like "Too bad. Suck it up."

I'm curious to see Kions reaction to his "destiny" weather it's to become the king or just a captain of the guards of sorts. It'd be kinda refreshing to see a character who's purpose was to become something other than royalty. Haha.

not all males have to become king.....yet.....if they don't want to be, but its also important if the pride must continue with a ruler to keep the order and circle of life running properly

Hehe, this somehow reminds me of what happened when the new Star Wars Ep. VII movie was announced. Some fans got enraged because it won't follow the storyline from the SW: Expanded Universe book series, which isn't actually canonical, more like semicanon (sounds familiar? xD). In Star Wars, the Expanded Universe books will now be considered "legends", instead of true progression of the storyline. Maybe that would be one way of seeing TLK:6NA now as well. There's the whole new canon story with Kion, but since Kopa is now a legend, wether he existed in the Pridelands history or not, that's up to you to believe or not. That sounds like a good deal of freedom, I'd say xD

About the royalty succession, all I'll say is that I hope they go with the Swedish Royalty example, I quite like it that way I've always thought of Kovu and Kiara as the next King and Queen, so they better keep it like that. Otherwise they'll feel my wrath in the thousands of hate mail I'll send them for not giving me what I want! ><

Ok everyone, so I did some research on the age ranges of the kiddy shows, like Jake and Sofia and My Little Pony, and I think I have a pretty good estimate of what TLG is going to be like get ready for this....

we already know that TLG will be between 2-7 yrs old....so here are the age ranges for the other existing shows....

SO as you can compare the age ranges, I THINK we are going to be seeing TLG more like Sofia the First-WHICH is not bad because I record and watch LIKE/Sofia the First. and its pretty good, way better then what level Jake and the Neverland Pirate are....

SO those who don't like Sofia the First or below that level, well sorry for the disappointment, blame the person who chose the age group.
and those who like Sofia the First well WE HAVE EVERY NEED TO BE TOTALLY EXCITED.

I believe the four in the sky could be 'Ahadi', Mufasa, Simba, and Scar. It's very much likely.

I really didn't want to call Mufasa/Scar's father Ahadi, since I don't believe in semi-canon items. (Specifically, TLK: SNA.)

I hadn't noticed this before, but it seems that Beshte has a paw mark on his shoulder just like Kion. I guess this is indeed the mark of the Lion Guard and not a birthmark. *relief sigh*

Autocorrect... I think a muhaha emote of mufasa would be awesome. All credit needs to go to Android and terrible autocorrect though XD.

I watched Sofia the first with a toddler when I was baby sitting. It's not that bad all things considered.

Personally I think it may not be too dissimilar to MLP especially if they have a moral at the end. Something like Kion telling his parents or Kiara and Kovu what he has learnt that day. Like in MLP where they always summarised the show and morals with the whole "dear Princess Celestia, today I learned that..." routine.

Leopards can't reproduce with cheetahs. Cheetahs are closer related to your house hold *** cats than they are to the panthers.

Huh I didn't know that leopards and the cheetah's couldn't reproduce. If true that's interesting! Most felines can reproduce, Lions and Tigers, Leopards and Cougars, Lynx and Caracals etc.

Only closely related species can reproduce, and even then the offspring are usually infertile.

Lions, Tigers, Leopards and Jaguars, along with some extand species of snowleopards are not felines. They're a seperate branch of cats, cousins to the felines. They are Genus Panthera which is a distinction a lot of people fail to make. The connecting branch between the two groups is the Felids. Felidae.

Felines meanwhile are very diverse and I think you'd have some trouble breeding certain species with each other. You probably couldn't get anything from a sandcat caracal hybrid. However a cursory google search seems to imply you can breed the domestic cat with the sandcat so there is a range of compatibility among felines.

Doubt you'd beable to get anything between an american lynx and a cheetah, however.

You wouldn't beable to breed a cheetah with a puma, or a Puma with a Panther.

So what kind of stories might the Lion Guard have? according to the book samples that we see on the TLG wiki?

Well, hyenas are supposed to be making an appearance too, right? There'll surely be some rivalry surely there'll be friendship-life lessons, but I hope there'll be some sense of continuity at least, I mean, that what happens some episode can have an effect in later episodes. It wouldn't hurt to get some drama into the mix, but maybe that's much to ask for a preschoolers' show xD still, I'll give it the benefit of doubt.

Considering that "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" is aimed at a similar age group and still can appeal to older audiences, with its fair share of drama and adventure, I'm hoping that The Lion Guard might strive for similar things. It's really hard to guess yet what the general tone of the show will be, but what I've seen so far does look good and promising. Not the dark and nitty gritty thing that a lot of fans weirdly seem to want (??), but it doesn't have a "silly" or overly childish look to it either, which is nice I'm looking a lot at the logo too; it looks very similar to the original TLK logo and I think that says a great deal about what they might be going for. I think it bodes well

:-SNot bad for a Hyena look I would like to see more though, and where is that picture from? I believe I have seen it before


And I also have to announce that we have gotten and update on Rafiki's actor, sadly it will not be Robert Guilaume's considering he is 87 yrs old and I can understand that at that age he deserves retirement. But its just not the same with out them, I mean Robert Guilaume's voice is what made of the most important essential elements of the Lion King. Its just not TLK without that voice especial for a loved wise shaman, his voice it was perfect for Rafiki, its going to be hard for this change. But we kinda new this already that most of the TLK voice actors aren't coming back, so we have to accept that and be ready for it, but the voice for Zazu will be the same actor and I think Nala too. But the rest, well we will have to get used to the change, but I just hope they don't screw it up, I hope they get very close voice similarities right. I mean It would just be a broken record of Rafiki didnt have that similar accent in his voice, and of course it makes me worry what they all will sound like but there is a way to get a sample of there voices just look up videos or watch movies the voice actor did.
