Hello? Am I doing this right? Yes? ....Speak up? Okay. *deep breath*

Hey everyone I'm Astraia! I'm um new here. (They know that you idiot.) I absolutely love The Lion King and Disney. I just happened upon this site one spring night and thought I'd give it a shot even though I haven't role-played in years. Haha. I really look forward to going on some crazy adventures with you all! I was a bit hesitant to introduce myself because I'm kinda shy and a bit of a lurker but I think it's about time I announced my presence. 

So, a bit about me I guess? Wellllll, I really love Disney. I've got a decent collection of movies and some of my favorites are The Lion King (Duh), Tarzan, Aladdin, Sleeping Beauty, The Little Mermaid, and Peter Pan. I like all of the movies except for The Black Cauldron (That's some creepy stuff right there). Some of my favorite movies outside of the Disney universe include Planet of the Apes (Rise, etc), Balto, Spirit: Stallion of the Cimmaron, The King's Speech, Pacific Rim, True Grit, Gravity, and The Lord of the Rings. I'm kinda a movie maniac. 
Also, for TV shows I love Once Upon a Time, Sherlock, Psych, and the Twilight Zone.

I am a bit of an artist. For a while I wanted to be an animator at Disney or Pixar! Then I wanted to be an Imagineer...oops off topic. I have a tablet that I'd like to do some work on if I can ever figure it out haha. I love doing sketches and paintings of landscapes or scenes from books and movies. 

I also like to read. I'm a YA fantasy/adventure kinda girl I suppose lol but I like a variety of stuff. Dystopian gets on my nerves most of the time.  Some of my favorite books/series are Steelheart, The Chaos Walking series, The Book Thief, The Name of the Wind, Anna and the French Kiss (It sounds dumb I know lol), Ender's Game, Ready Player One, The Alchemist, and Graceling. 

So..yep I guess an intuitive, gentle, caring, complex individual is about to join the Pride! (Those adjectives sound a bit narcissistic. Just wanted to give a few personal traits.) Hopefully I get to go on some creative, ambitious, imaginative, journeys with you all. See you around!

I must say Pacific Rim is an odd movie out in the list you've given, at least it strikes me like that.
What kind of tablet is it that you have? If you don't mind me asking. It's also worth mentioning that we have an art thread here on the forum if you ever feel like sharing some of your TLK or Lion OC related stuff with the community.

I've read all of those Clary! ( I couldn't get into Divergent, but I might try it again. I read most of the Mortal Instruments, and Infernal Devices. I need to reread them so I can catch up on the newest editions! I had a serious crush on Jem haha and Magnus Bane might be the most fabulous character I've ever met. He's so charismatic it's fantastic. I like Harry Potter but I'm not a huge fan. Probably because I read them out of order when I was younger. (I'm a weirdo) I do know that the third book is my favorite with the fourth close behind lol. I've never seen Supernatural but I'm curious about it. I tried Doctor Who but I don't think it's really my thing haha. The Doctors are cute though!

Lol I guess it is kinda an odd pick Pulsar. Pacific Rim that is. I just really liked the Kaiju, and the robots I guess! Plus it had a unique story, good soundtrack, and who doesn't like seeing giant robots smash their fist into an alien monster's face? I heard they're making a sequel and animated series and I'm pumped.
I have a Wacom Bamboo Fun Pen and Touch tablet. I've had it for a while now but I haven't had time to set it up on my Mac and I'm kinda clueless as to what programs to use and how to use it in general haha. Hopefully I can get it going soon. :/ If I ever can get a hang of it I'll be sure to post some stuff in the art thread.

Ah! Yes YOU madam are my new best friend! Jem is cute! I have a HUGE fangirl crush on him. Simon too haha, have you not read heavenly fire yet? It's so good! and the fourth HP is awesome. Haha the doctor's are cute (David Tennant!!!) and if you like horror films you'd like Supernatural

I must have strange taste in books. YA books tend to annoy me for some reason so I tend to read things like Brent Weeks or Joe Abercrombie. I've read Raymond Fiest's Magician series too:). Still fantastic course. I've read game of thrones but thought it was boring... Low attention span, lol.

Yay friends! Lol Clary I don't think I read Heavenly Fire! Last time I read one was probably last year. I don't like horror so idk about Supernatural lol. We should start a fangirl thread!

Haha Heavenly Fire only came out a couple of weeks ago :3 and lol looks like Pulsar has given you a custom title. I approve of it!

Yeah I drew it. Thank you! I attempted to draw it on my tablet and it turned out alright for a first attempt I think. I think I'm going to change it though to a close up of her face. I'm probably going to use this one to help illustrate my character. :3

Ah, another artist my best guess is you specialize in drawing right? I am a 3d artist myself, I carve things from styrofoam, mostly video game guns but I have some remote plans out there to make Jack Harper's rifle from Oblivion.

I saw most of these disney movies but a mighty while back so I dont quite remember them well I still have some hype stored up for Pacific Rim tough (didn't see it yet), how was it?

I loooved Pacific Rim but I know some people weren't fans. You should definitely watch it if you get some free time.

I considered it for a while and then I gave up the idea. Unless I can collab with someone for that, it's a no go because of the restrictions of my material...

We are still wide open, even if we started already! I in fact encourage having characters outside of the set cast. All you gotta do is show us an OC and tell us a general role your character will have and you're in! Easy as 1 2 3!

I read Name of the Wind too! It's Amazing! That flower-thing in our RP was stolen like a thief.
