Tani led the way to the sleeping part of the den. Her parents appeared to be asleep already but Tani was sure they were probably faking. Tani and Enuthu nuzzled eachother goodnight and fell asleep a few feet from eachother, though Tani had watched Enuthu the whole time before her eyes became heavy.
Kovu opened his eyes and smiled at the two before falling asleep for the night.

Enuthu nuzzled Tani and settled down for sleep, his eyes heavy as calm sleep consumed him. The corners of his mouth naturally turned down as strange dreams enveloped him, the cave was unfamiliar and yet somewhat distant. He was reminded of his past life frequently that night, his brothers eyes and his fathers bloody, cruel smile. He woke startled and covered in a cold sweat.

"You okay?" Kovu asked. The sun was barely rising. The den was empty save for the king and the young lion. The lionesses were all out hunting for breakfast already.

Enuthu looked at Kovu wide eyed and he ran his paws through his hair "Umm yea... ill be fine.." he shook his head in the vain hope the images would be shaken from his mind.

Kovu nodded, "Youre not alone. Ive had them my whole life too. The have become less frequent since Kiara came into my life, but I still have them at times."

Kovu nodded, "Growing up with my mother.... it was pretty much a daily thing. I remember once when I was a cub walking in on one of my mothers executions... she made me stay... made me... help... I don't think you ever get those memories out of your head, But it does get better with time. Especially if you find someone to love and who loves you. It seems to heal all wounds."

"You have no idea." Kovu smiled. They sat in silence for a moment before Kovu spoke again, "I just want you to know youre welcometo stay as long as you like. I also don't mind you getting to know my daughter. She is quite the amazing young lady. Just remember, Im trusting you." Kovu smiled but the look on his face was stern. He then gave a wholehearted smile and stepped outside to greet the lionesses who had returned.
Tani bounded up the rocks and smiled at her father. She nuzzled him quickly and then wentinside to ffind Enuthu.

"yes she is.." he said without thinking and he remained with the corners of his mouth turned down and smiled at the approaching sounds of the lionesses and rubbed the sleep fro his eyes.
Kiara giggled at Tani's hurried behaviour and slowly walked towards her mate, nuzzling him softly.

"How was the hunt?" Kovu asked his mate as he nuzzled her.
Tani nearly ran into Enuthu, "Morning!" She giggled

Kiara giggled "Well Tani seemed to be in a rush and she scared a few of the antelope but other wise it was good." as she said this she gestured to one of the lionesses with a large corpse in her mouth.
Enuthu smiled at Tani "Why are you so happy?" he asked with a light air about his words

Kiara rubbed her head against Kovu's affectionately.
Enuthu giggled at her cute smile and nuzzled her softly, purely acting on impulse.

Tani nuzzled him back, nestling instinctively into his chest. She began to purr softly, "You hungry?" She asked looking up at him
