We Are One (Private)

[Vitalini]

Kovu sighed and nuzzled his mate. He couldn't bear the thought of his daughter being hurt, "He better not."

Tani smiled widely, "Im so glad! You'll like it here. Everyone is so kind!"

[Accalia]

Kiara half sighs half giggles "mmm I would have to force him to stay if he tried." she said with a smile

Enuthu gave her a small smirk "Yes well, I am sure that they wont be too pleased..." he looks distant and remembers how dark his pelt is and what his dark background has scared him and branded an incorrect name upon his forehead

OOC: I am very sorry but I have to go to sleep... I might be able to reply later tonight, but for now it is good night

[Vitalini]

Tani looks confused, "Why not? We love everyone here."

Kovu laughed

[Accalia]

"I am not the most 'normal' looking lion.." he said slowly

Kiara giggled and said "If they truly love each other he will know what to do."

[Vitalini]

Tani giggled, "Wait til you see the rest of my family." She nuzzled him gently, "You'll fit right in."

Kovu nodded, "Agreed. "

[Accalia]

Enuthu sighed and nodded leaning into her nuzzle

Kiara giggled "Just as us"

[Vitalini]

Kovu smiled and gently licked his mate's forehead.

As Pride Rock came into view Vitalini's smile widened. Because the Pride's numbers had grown so much there was not enough room for everyone to sleep inside. Many of the lionesses were curled up on the rocks, some in the tall grasses. Some lionesses were golden and pale, others were dark. Some had no visible scars while others had chunks of their ears or shoulders removed. Tani looked from Enuthu to her family, "See? Some of them have been scarred way more than you." She smiled, "Some are dark, some are light."

[Accalia]

Enuthu saw the variety of lionesses and sighed, he wanted to cry or laugh, maybe he did belong here.. He looked into Tani's eyes and licked her cheek. He saw how they all co existed and how none of them were behaving strangely. He smiled and continued walking towards Pride Rock, his eyes continuously moving from lioness to lioness.

Kiara smiled and awaited their return.

[Vitalini]

Tani stopped right before they got to Pride Rock and turnes to Enuthu, "I want to tell you something... before we go inside."

[Accalia]

Enuthu looks at Tani "What is it?"

[Vitalini]

Tani looked at him and smiled, "It's a story. A true story." She watched his face curiously before she began, "There was a king who rule these lands long ago. He had two sons. The older son found a mate, became king, and hada son. The younger brother became jealous and killed his older brother. He wanted his nephew dead too and ordordered that he be killed by hyenas. The hyenas told their new master that his nephew was dead and so the younger brother took the role of king. He found a mate and chose an heir from her litter of cubs. Unbeknownst to the new king, his nephew was still alive. He grew up and eventually came back to take back his kingdom. His uncle died at the mercy of his own henchmen but the False kings mate blamed the rightful king and took vengeance on his family by killing his son and heir. The false kings mate and her followers were excited. Another cub was born to the king and queen: a daughter. Meanwhile the false kings mate used her heir and raised him to hate the true king. He was supposed to pretend to fall for the true kings daughter and then kill the king and take over his kingdom but he fell in love for real. The two realized they could not run away from their families and allow them to be divided forever so they stood against their father and mother and fought for their prides." Tani paused and looked Enuthu in the eyes, "Those two lions were my parents."

[Accalia]

Enuthu listened, the story was dark, but believable. He didn't say anything, just watched Tani carefully, e wanted to do something but all he could do is run her words over again and again in her head. He now guessed that the lioness they had encountered truly was her grandmother and he saw how she could be hurt and why King Kovu was also hurt.

[Vitalini]

"When they tried to stop their parents... my mom and my.... grandmother... got into it. My mom tried to save her but my grandmother fell from a cliff into a river. Everyone assumed she was dead. I guess they were wrong." Tani shivered. "Five lives were lost throughout the story: my great grandfather Mufasa, his younger brother - the false king - Scar, Scar's mate Zira... or well... so we thought, my mothers brother Kopa... he's the one Zira killed for revenge on my grandfather Simba - and my fathers brother Nuka. Scar convinced Simba it was his fault his father had died. Zira blames my father for Nukas death." Tani looked sad, "I think my father blames himself too."

[Accalia]

Enuthu sighed, there was so much guilt. Back at his birth pride his father was a greedy and jealous lion, a lot like the false king. He knew what it was like to be blamed for a death, only he did kill someone and that felt worse. A small tear came to his neon green eye and he slumped to the ground taking a rattling breath in.

[Vitalini]

"Are you okay?" Tani asked lying down beside him and nuzzling his muzzle with her own. She could see the pain and conflict in his eyes.

[Accalia]

Enuthu takes another shaky breath in, his brothers dead eyes still boring into his own "Umm, I-ill be... no.."

[Vitalini]

"What is it?" She asked looking up at him, "Enu, whats wrong?'

[Accalia]

Enuthu took a deep breath in and said slowly "I killed my brother..."

[Vitalini]

Tani looked up at him, not sure what to think. She had heard her father say these same words many times, although her mother would always correct him. Tani wondered if he really had or if he just blamed himself for it. She shivered, the look on his face - he had.

"What happened?"

[Accalia]

Enuthu shivered and looked at Tani with wide eyes "He found me as a threat and he charged for me... He was angry and wouldn't let it go.. I snapped his neck..."

[Vitalini]

Tani gasped, a fearful look on her face. Though it surprised her that it wasnt fear of Enuthu but fear for Enuthu, "I am glad you were okay." She whispered

[Accalia]

Enuthu sighed and lifted his head a large scar stretching from his jaw line to his chest.

[Vitalini]

A lump rose in Tanis throat, "Oh Enu." She nuzzled into him, "I'm so sorry."

[Accalia]

Enuthu shook slightly but Tani's touch warmed him and he nuzzled her back "Don't be sorry, there is nothing for you to be sorry about."

[Vitalini]

Tani was surprised at the way she was reacting. She had just met him today and yet the thought of losing him, of someone hurting him, made her lose her breath. She buried her face in his chest.

[Accalia]

Enuthu's heart ached at the vast amounts of affection Tani was giving him. Never in his life had he experienced so much attension and affection, these feelings were almost alien to him, but he somehow knew what to do. He placed his head atop hers and smiled softly.

[Vitalini]

"I wish you hadn't had to go through all of that. " Tani sighed as she looked up at him, "But youre still welcome to stay as long as you want." She looked around at the lionesses once more, "we understand killing out of self defense more than you know"

[Accalia]

Enuhtu sighed and stood once more, nuzzling Tani and beginning to walk towards Pride Rock once more. He felt as if he could truly fit in here and remain for the rest of his life. He looked up at the now close to dark sky and smiled, there was something vaguely comforting about the night sky.

[Vitalini]

Tani nuzzled him back and walked beside him toward her home

[Accalia]

Enuthu sighed as they climbed the large rock, the two of them side by side
