((If you need to see cast and current NPCs, or you need to sign up, you can here.)) ((We will wait for you to post for a maximum of three days. After that, we may skip you or make your character an NPC, if we see it fit. You may message me if you're going to be gone or if you wouldn't like that.)) A great rain poured down from the heavens above, washing away bone and ash. The start of the rainy season, and the third day the storm has continued, without a pause through the night. It was a late afternoon, almost evening, as difficult as it was to tell. Angry clouds rolled above, growling like tigers as they moved quickly over the Savannah. brief flashes of lightning shattered the sky in the distance. The ground was slick with fine, gray, ashen mud, and water poured over Priderock relentlessly, little waterfalls dribbling at the entrance of the den trickled to the back of the cave. Like tiny streams, they collected in puddles of the cavity's little indents in the stone, but overall, the lions could stay dry as long as they avoided them. Below, a small, pale figure made it's way through the grass- a liger, no less. The adolescent cat ran, her paws grayed and dirtied from all the mud and ash. The Pridelands still had little green, a few sprouts of growing grass pricked her paws, hidden under the mud. Trees had little sprouts- but the land, mostly, was dead and dark. The stream that had run dry during Scar's rule had become something more of a raging river, roaring with brown-white turbulent water, sometimes carrying skulls and bones. She skidded, leaving a long trail in the mushy earth, glancing about this giant, flooded mud-puddle of a land. She padded toward a dark, looming rock: what was it? Her ears flicked to the side. It was such a strange shape. Like a giant crocodile opening it's mouth, or a mountain that had been split open. She thought she could hear hushed, harsh voices toward the back. Yes, a ways behind the great rock, a few lions were talking. She craned her neck and tensed her ears to listen... "Scar..." Zira whined, her fur slick as she padded back n' forth. A few lions were sitting around her: Scar's remaining supporters, listening. "Watch over us, and protect your little cubs..." She hugged three little lions to her side. An older, brown cub with a scraggly mane, a younger one, with blond fur and blue eyes, and a newborn with a brown coat and green eyes. Nuka, Vitani, and Kovu. Zira's grief suddenly flared into anger, as a fully clawed paw slammed down in the mud. "It was going to be glorious! We could've owned the savannah, lion and hyena- nothing would stop us! Nothing would stand in our way!" She snarled. "Simba thinks we're all so happy he's back..." She chuckled. "He thinks we're his pride... let him." Her eyes scanned her followers, flicking her tail. "Prey that's unaware is much easier to kill..." Zira looked about again. She was sure only Scar's supporters had followed them here, and that most lions were sound asleep. Her ears flicked, listening for anything out of place. If any of Simba's lions were spying, she was ready to give the order to end them- quietly and quickly.

A tawny lioness lay tossing and turning in the cave, her stomach showing signs of the cub that was due. Nala groaned and hoisted herself into a sitting position with great difficulty before looking to her sleeping mate. She grumbled to herself and forced herself to stand up, maybe a drink would help her. She thought as she dragged her paws along, away from the gathered lionesses. She opened her jaws in a yawn as she reached the open air, pausing slightly to let the breeze cool her before she started the tedious journey towards the watering hole. The female was far too tired to pay attention to anything around her or else she would have heard the hushed whispers of the outsiders and would have noticed the liger who was eavesdropping in the shadows of Pride Rock.
A young adolescent stood beside Zira, listening to her mourning of Scar, she bit down on her lip and resisted the urge to roll her eyes at the morbidity of the situation. It was over, why didn't she understand that? "Zira, we should move. Simba will be waking soon to do his daily rounds." Faith said, feigning concern over their safety when quite frankly she couldn't have cared less if she got caught, both Simba and Nala knew what she was up to. Tomorrow Faith would go hunting and report to one of the Pridelanders what was happening. The dark female shook herself, sending water droplets around her before she steadied her gaze on Zira waiting for her confirmation.

A grey pelted, lanky teenager stood in the cover of night, seeing the large rock his father had called 'Pride Rock' however he found it a dumb name as it didn't even look much like a rock, but he didn't live there so it didn't make much of a difference to him. His jet black mane billowed in the wind as she wearily plodded forward, not looking back once, fearful that there may be someone still pursuing him. He hopped there would be someone able to give him shelter for the night, but as he approached the large rock he heard whispered and crouched down low, trying to listen to their words as he moved closer, hoping his dark mane was enough to hide him from the lions.
There were many dark pelted lion and lionesses surrounding an angry looking lioness, *Dont mess with her* Is all he thought as he watched her ramble on, the tawny lioness beside her obviously finding this whole thing boring and repetitive. Enuthu wasn't sure as to what he was going to do here, but figuring out what was happening would be a good start. Anything to distract him from the horrible memories of his family chasing him from his home, long and far. He shivered with the memory.
Out of the corner of his eye he spotted a cream coloured lioness, no liger and he wondered what she was doing here, but it appeared she was doing the same thing as him, listening to these lions conversation. He gave a half smile before his mouth became set in its turned down expression once more as he eaves dropped on the unsuspecting lions.

Komala sat amongst the group of lions as he listened to Zira. He didn't really know much about what she was saying, it was only shortly after this Scar guy had died when he arrived in the pridelands. Some of the lions around him had told him about how Simba murdered Scar in order to take the thrown for himself, and he listened as Zira had told him how evil Simba was. At first, he was more than happy to join with them to take down this usurper, but after a while, he started to think that he had made a mistake. He had seen Simba several times and he never came across as some evil tyrant. He began to suspect that he had been duped into joining this cause, and he was already starting to regret it. It was too late though. Even as he listened to Zira now, he knew that he couldn't back out without losing his life. He glanced around nervously at the lions and lionesses that were listening to Zira. What kind of mess did I get myself involved with this time?

Boriti was laying in the shadows by the entrance of pride rock watching the rain falling not far from her. She has always loved the smell of the rain but hated the fact that it kept her from running the great savannah. She looked back at the other lions and lioness smiling that she had finally found a home. She has only been part of the pride for a few moons, but she loves it here. Still with the events that have taken place she wondered if the pride would last much longer. Sure Simba is a great king and she will follow him till the end, but the land is scared and the food is scarce. How long can they live like this? She looks back at the entrance and sees Nala walking out into the rain.
'I wonder where she is going?' She thinks to herself.
She looks back and sees the others are still asleep and decides to follow Napa, for she may need protection. Boriti did not trust some of the lionesses here, so she got up and slowly stalked Napa trying to stay hidden in the shadows.

Kisasi had wandered for a some days, through a desert. He had arrived at some prides territory, but had been too hungry to care. The lands here were also barren, but it looked as if the rain was restoring life. Judging by the charred trees and plains, there must have been a wildfire recently. Here and there, Kisasi also found various skeletons.
In the middle of the lands, sat a large rock. It looked like stalagmite, broken down the middle. It seemed as if whoever lived here, they used the rock as a lookout point. Kisasi dared to venture further, looking for food. But if there was any, it was probably already killed and eaten. Kisasi wondered for a moment if he could ask for food. He deemed it the wisest of decisions and went as close as possible to the rock, to alert the pride of him.

Vitani: Hearing her mother whine about how their father was gone, made Vitani get quickly bored. She sighed, Scar was her father, but she would rather be doing something else than listen to her mother rant all day. "But, Momma, woulden`t it be easier to just live with Simba happily? I know daddys gone.. but.." She diden`t dare say her thoughts now, her mother would surely get angry. And at this age, Vitani was still innocent, a sweet little cub that woulden`t want to harm anything, unless it was annoying. The small cub flicked her tuft from her blue eyes, rolling them at her mothers rant that still continued. `Tani wondered if there were anymore cubs in Simba`s pride, she had heard of Kopa. Perhaps he could make an interesting play mate. Soon, to stop herself "Dieing of boredom" Vitani pounced on her older brother. A huge grin on her sweet face. "Hahah Nuka!" She chuckles at her older brothers condition.
Kito: This lioness was not with Zira, she was with the Rightful Ruler, Simba. She walked around Priderock, with a sigh of boredom, she laid down on the fairly smooth surface, wondering where Zira went off to. Knowing that evil demon of a lioness, she was probably planning something. And Kito hated her, so very much.

Zira's eyes narrowed at Faith, then snorted. "Fine..." She growled, clearly not liking to be bossed about. She was about to pick up her cubs when Vitani spoke-she gaped at Vitani, as she straightened herself up. "Vitani, how can you say such things?!" Her voice was tinged with despair and shock. "Simba murdered your father- he took him from you!" She paced around her cub. "I'll not have my cub say such things, why-" Her eyes darted to the stranger that was near the rock, in plain sight. Zira sighed, looking down at her cubs. A mix of deep disappointment and irritation on her face. "...All three of you head back to the den- around the back. Away from him." She glanced pointedly at Kisasi. "Make sure to help Kovu up the rock." "Mother, you always make me watch him..." Nuka whined. Zira snarled fiercely at the cub in response to his disobedience, and nuka shrunk backwards in fear. She then looked to the remaining outlanders. "the rest of you- go deal with our 'guest'! I want him out." Se commanded, already acting as if she were the queen of this pride. "Not you, Komala..."
"Let's walk..." She said in her gruff voice to Komala, as she slowly headed to prowl the border of the pridelands. "I realize you're new here, and many of us are distrustful of you- here's your chance to prove yourself." her paws smooshed in the mud as she slunk along. "The task of disposing of Simba has fallen to you.Come tomorrow, Simba will have most of his lionesses' planting seeds to try to speed up the growth. During this time, he'll be vulnerable..." She said Vulnerable with a chuckle, seeming pleased just to say it. "I want you to get rid of him. Quietly." She said with a large smile, looking like the cat that ate the canary. Guilty and pleased.
Kikao smiled back at the strange lion- she wasn't the only one wondering what was going on around here. Her smiled quickly faded into an expression of fear. Zira was headed the other adolescent's way. She dare not make a sound or movement to alert him, lest risking being seen herself. Her only hope is that he notices them coming closer...
Outlanders darted up to greet Kisasi with growls and lowered postures, their bodies tense and coiled, like springs. "Who are you?" Asked Vumbi, an edge in her voice. "You're not welcome here!" Her words was harsh and unpleasantly loud. A quiet, dark outlander began to circle him-Kivuli. Tupu was in a pouncing position, flexing her claws, and looking all too eager to sink them into something. A very old lioness watched from inside the cave, with her peppered, reddish fur. Jiwe seemed displeased with the way the younger lionesses were treating the stranger. She would watch a while, noting his slender frame- he looked like he hadn't eaten in a while. But she didn't speak. She stood still as a stone.

Nala glanced over her shoulder when she heard the sound of approaching footsteps and she smiled in greeting at Boriti. "Good morning," she greeted with a smile, pausing so the lioness could approach her, "I was just going to have a drink, this little one is certainly taking it out of me, more than Kopa did." She chuckled a little, her tail swishing side to side contently, the image of an excited and doting mother. "Would you care to join me?" Nala finally asked, her tone still polite as she glanced behind Boriti towards the dark silhouette of Pride Rock, if only she had super eyesight she would have seen the trouble starting on Pride Rock, instead she continued smiling at her home where her King was waiting patiently for her return.
Faith rolled her eyes and huffed incredulously when Zira walked away, "This is pathetic." SHe muttered to herself before following the rest of the 'outsider's up towards Pride Rock when her expression fell as they saw they were going to an obviously innocent passerby, without think she pretend to trip over and let our a roar of pain, alerting the lion to the approach of danger but also turning the outsiders attention to her. THe death glares she received made her want to shrink into the shadows but instead she held herself tall and smiled sheepishly, "Simba obviously doesn't take care of his lands, especially considering I could have broken my paw on this rock." She said, bigging up being a drama queen, hoping the lion would get away.

Enuthu heard the voices getting louder and noticed all too late as they approached his crouching figure, he tried to find a rock, but nothing was in view as he franticly tried to think of an escape. He took in all of his visible surrounding in the semi-darkness, wishing that there was a way to escape these lions, he was too busy fumbling for a way to escape that he missed half of what they were saying, but came to a choice, he could either turn himself in and join their side, or hope they don't catch him. He remained on the question for a while, desperately figuring out the ends of each, but he couldn't decide so simply shrunk deeper to the ground, hiding beneath his mane.
*Just great.... I'm stuck here with two, deadly lions that would easily kill me if they found me, how did I get here again?!* Then he remembered why he was there and let out a small snarl, a loud snarl. He froze completely, his eyes wide and his mouth still open. He hoped for his life to remain as he waited for their reaction.

Komala was surprised when Zira asked him to walk with her and he was scared that he did something to upset her, but he obeyed and followed her. As they walked, he listened to her plan and his eyes widened in shock when she said that he would be the one to murder Simba. No! I don't want to kill him! He almost spoke his thoughts out loud, but he held them back knowing that it would only get him into trouble, or even killed.
"You... you want ME to kill him? Zira, are you sure that is a good idea? You have stronger, more experienced lions following you. Would it not make more sense to have one of them do it? A job this important seems too risky to left in the paws of a rookie like me, and besides, I've never killed anybody before."
He wanted to say more, but was afraid to go on out of fear that he already said too much. Just then, he thought he heard a sound nearby and glanced around.

Kisasi sat silently, as some lions approached him. He was wondering if they were hostile, when suddenly one of them let out a roar. He realized that the lion must've been trying to warn him, but he was too slow. The lions had already arrived, ready to pounce.
"Who are you? You aren't welcome here." They spoke. "I am Kisasi. And i would like to talk to your leader. If you," He said, talking to the rude one. "Are the leader, then this is a pathetic pride, indeed." Kisasi was clearly mocking them.

Boriti smiles back afraid that she might be in trouble for following the queen.
"Good morning Nala." she said walking up to stand in front of her giving a little bow as she caught up with her, "I would love to join you I'm quite thirsty myself."
Nala has always been nice to Boriti ever since she joined the pride a few moons back, and she was always grateful for that. She got up and started walking again with Nala, still a little afraid that she might have over stepped her boundaries stalking her like that. It was all out of good attentions though, she still didn't think that all the lionesses were behind her and Simba as they say they are.
"So I have a question Nala." she said looking over at her, "What is to come of the pride now? I mean there really isn't much of a reason for us to stay here now that all the land has been burned and the wild life scared away."

Vitani cowered back from her mothers glare. "What i mean`t.. was.. eerm.." She mumbles, trying to think of something. "What if we just use them for their food?" She says. "And use them for a home.. i mean.. it would en`t be that bad.." She said, before getting moved as Simba walked across priderock, or somebody else. As she was taken away, she grumbled un audible words, getting extremely ratty that she was taken away. Taking the chance when her `cub-sitter` wasen`t watching, she snook of in search of that Pridelander Prince, what was his name? Oh. Kopa. Prince Kopa. Vitani was excited to meet him, she had seen him once or twice, but every-time she had tried to talk or fight him, her mother would always take her away from him. But now she had a chance, she ran off, coming across ... the Queen. Wondering if she would actually speak, the young cub looked up at the Queen, a small smile on her maw. "Excuse me, have you seen Kopa anywhere?" Vitani asks Nala, but they probably woulden`t give her an answer because of who her mother was. She did love her mother, and she did love her father, despite the lack of attention he brought her because she was a female cub. But, because of who her parents were, people often misjudged her, she did hold anger to Simba, but to Nala... Nala was less harsh. Well, sometimes.

Zira smiled grimly. "...The pride may hate me, Komala-" She paused as she heard a loud snarl, clenching her teeth tightly together, her eyes burning and fierce. She prowled forward, growling, her lips curling to reveal her long, sharp teeth. "Who's there?!" She snarled to the grass, her ears flicked backwards as her tail twitched with irritation.
Kikao let out a small gasp as Zira came closer to the lion about her age- and Zira heard it. Her ears swiveled, as she paced about, trampling grass under her paws, claws extended. Zira grinned, sensing fear "I said-" Kikao swallowed, shaking her head. I can't believe I'm about to do this...She darted forward, her ivory pelt flashing before Zira's eyes as she stumbled through the slick mud. She heard a tremendous roar behind her, as Zira gave chase. She panted, panicked and scared, she did the only thing she could think of- she ran, quick as she could to the giant rock, her eyes brimming with terror. Suddenly, she lost her footing, and she fell on her side, gliding along the mud like a wet towel thrown across a slick floor. She stumbled to get up and fell, and tried, and tried again- the mud was too slick for her. Zira began to walk in her direction, the lioness was cautious not to fall- unlike her.
Vumbi growled, raising a claw to strike. "Why how dare yo-" "Stop." The older lioness stepped out of the cave. Vumbi's gaze snapped to hers, their eyes locking. "Who gave you orders to hurt this lion?" Jiwe asked, her eyes stale and neutral. "Your queen is out getting a drink and your king sleeps." Vumbi had a feeling she already knew. Vumbi swallowed, giving the stranger some space. Tupu and the other outlander quietly stepped beside her, claws sheathed. Tupu's eyes were now locked on the stranger with a strangely uncomfortable, admiring glance. Jiwe approached him. "What is it they call you?" The elder asked, her worn, peppered face and deep, dark eyes suggested wisdom.

Nala was about to speak to her escort when a small voice distracted her and she looked around before realizing the voice was coming from between her paws and she lowered her gaze to face the scrawny cub that was addressing her, "Vitani, right?" Nala asked curiously, cocking her head to one side. "Kopa is asleep with Simba at the moment... does your mother know you're here?" She continued, a slight frown forming on her lips. "It's really not safe for a cub to be all alone, let alone a outsider cub. You could get hurt." She said, scolding the cub gently. She whole heartedly agreed with Simba when it came to the idea of exiling Scar's followers but even she had her boundries and she was still furious at Simba for banishing Zira's cubs - they don't know any better, their life was just beginning. She knew how she'd feel if that happened to Kopa. "If you like, when he wakes up one of the lionesses will escort him here and keep an eye on you both. Only if your mother knows though."

Enuthu began to scream at himself within his head as his death neared and the lioness growled and her ears flickered. He was startled by a flash of ivory pelt that he realised was the liger. He gasped and raced after the two of them, not bothering with the lion behind him, he saw the lionesses pelt and growled behind her, snapping at her haunches, attempting to keep her from the liger.
His green eyes grew in size as he watched her lose footing and slide across the wet ground, then only to see she was unable to get up. *Now of never..* he thought helplessly. He leapt upon the dull lionesses back and pushed her towards the ground, his lanky body desperately trying to remain on her back. "Run!" He screamed at the liger, even though he feared she couldn't and that he would be forced to leave the lioness to help her escape.

Komala watched with surprise as the liger darted past them with Zira chasing after her shortly after. He was going to let Zira handle it, until he heard a sound behind him and jumped out of the way just in time as another lion ran past him. He ran after the lion and eventually saw Zira walking towards the fallen liger in the distance. When the lion got close enough, Komala saw him knock Zira to the ground and yell out something to the liger. He picked picked up speed and rammed into the lion as hard as he could, hoping it was enough to knock the lion off of Zira.

Vitani quickly nodded, her confidence seemed lost for a moment, but she quickly regained it. A perky smile spread upon her maw. "Oh okay, i just heard so many people talking about him, and he`s the only other cub around here i can play with, Nuka`s too old and grumpy, and Kovu`s too young." She says. "Oh yes, my mother knows im here." She says, grinning. She had lied, and it felt good. If Nala believed her, she would be away from her mother for a while, she diden`t like it when her mother was grumpy. Infact Zira scared her. "Really? You`d do that? That would be great!" She laughs. "Thanks!" She laughs once more. "My mother certainly knows im here." She says, puffing out her chest, sitting down on the floor.
