The Land Awaits [jump in!]

((I'm going to jump in as Kikao, if that's alright. I hope her pelt isn't too unrealistic for you~))
Not far from the trampled path, smallish ears swiveled just above the tall grass. The little orange shapes turned attentively, before- "Gotcha'!" The adolescent leapt in the air, landing squarely on a rabbit. The creature squeaked and squealed in her paws as the hunter beamed, her mouth set into a triumphant grin. One of the ears flicked again, hearing busy paws near the trail. She ducked, quickly, her tail swishing above the surface- but her prey! The rabbit somehow wriggled from her grasp and dashed out in front of the path of flattened grass, yelping in alarm and bearing the marks of her little claws. It would be almost impossible not to notice. Kikao gave a little sigh,flattening her pale body to the dry earth as much as possible. Her sea-green eyes looked upward as she wrapped her tail around herself, trying to get a glimpse of the strangers approaching through the stalks of grass.

Shay spied the little animal running through the tall grass. Or rather, she heard the rustling and the squeaking. It was already quite dark, and somehow she'd managed to get seperated from her companions, so in a small voice she said, "Who's there?"

M***a began to pad along the grass, following the scent trail. Shomari stuck close to her side, his orange gaze flicking about nervously. M***a sped up, ears pricked to the sound of movement among the grass. Lifting her head, she noticed the large lioness from earlier, and ambled in her direction, wary, for the sounds of rustling still continued on as if something else was about.

Xoren and Sola followed close behind, both a bit confused as to why everyone had stopped. "Is something wrong?" Sola asked them as her eyes bolted around their surroundings.
