[Accalia/Mane] Love Will Find A Way

It had been some time since she had run away, a few weeks had passed, and she had heard that her parents were looking for her.. Only now, being pregnant and in love, she was afraid of how they might react.. So she had formed a plan.. Hide away, and never let them find her! So every chance she got when she heard from the buzzards and blue birds that they were near, she would hide.. Only one day, she had slept in, and she hadn't hidden well enough. She knew Enuthu was somewhere nearby... It was only when she heard a loud call, "Kimmmbiiiii!" The voice called. Her eyes opened halfway before she closed them.. For a moment she thought she was back home, being woken up to catch breakfast. But the reality hit her as she heard the voice repeat her name. She shot up, sitting up, and a worried expression hit her face. Her belly was slightly enlarged, it was making it harder to move around. Cursing under her breathe, she saw the paws of her father outside the cave she was hiding in. A mere waterfall hid her.. Should he see her striped pelt it would be over... Backing up a little, she felt her paw hit a rock, which tumbled around the cave making a loud bang.. which echoed as it was bounced around the cavern floor. With every loud bang it made she cringed. Her fathers face turned to look at her, and she knew she could hide no more.. "Kimbi!" Came his voice...

Time had passed since he had last heard news of her being in the jungle.. Although he knew she was somewhere in its depths, he was losing hope quickly. Though one day her scent led him to one of the many waterfalls... It was cut off by the water, and he waded forward, calling her name over and over. She would answer, she was his little princess. He knew deep down she wanted to come home; she had to come home.. She couldn't stay out here forever... He paused at the waterfall, sighing as he looked around himself. He wondered where she was at, why she wasn't showing up.. Surely she could hear his calls. It was only then that a loud clacking noise caught his attention, and he looked around for it, then realized it was coming from the waterfall. Peering past the running water, he saw a striped figure and two eyes that he knew oh so well. "Kimbi!" He cried out. "Urim, I found her!" He called, "Come quick, she's over here.." He peeked his head into the waterfall, but one look at her... At her enlarged belly, and he was speechless, his face pained at what he saw... She was.. pregnant.. But.. how could this have happened? Who.. Who was the father? Surely no good could come of this.

Enuthu had remained faithful to his pregnant mate, he would have never ran away from his fear, he wasn't quite that horrid. He had followed her, doing as she wished, he felt her fear of her family finding her, and was prepared to do whatever she wanted to do as to prevent her family finding them. He loved Kimbi, no doubt about it, but the idea of having cubs was a daunting one and had frightened him deeply.

Enuthu heard his loves name echo in his mind and snapped awake, his ears pricked foreword. He wasn't sure what to do, he was hidden within the shadows in the back of his cave, the only part of him that was visible was his white markings. He whispered her name, trying to wake her from her slumber, but it didn't work fast enough, she woke, startled, he saw her but also saw the stripped paw, his face didn't change an he relaxed, it was probably another feline from this pride. The rock flew towards him and he dodged it, breathing heavily. He saw the panic on her face as the unfamiliar face turned towards Kmibi, he couldn't resist the protective urge, he had no idea who this was. He slowly walked infront of Kimbi his face flat as he inspected the liger before him, who obviously knew Kimbi. "Excuse me... Who are you?" he asked with a hint of hostility in his voice.

Urim searched the jungle, tired and angered. Her little baby, her little Kimbi had been missing for a while, and they had never stopped searching. 'Urim! I've found her!' Echoed through her mind, she rushed towards Kuno, shoving past him. She got a quick glance at her, before a male got in the way, the hint of hostility in his voice made her growl at him. "It has nothing to do with you." She managed to see her daughter, with an enlarged belly. "You stole her.." She murmurs, barely audible, hanging her head. "YOU STOLE MY BABY GIRL!" She roars, tears pricking at the corners of her eyes as she struck the male round the face, and pounced upon him, pinning him to the floor. "I HATE YOU, I DONT CARE WHO YOU ARE!" She screams in his face.

Enuthu saw the lioness enter the cave and her expression change from sudden realisation get completely eradicated by pure anger. He saw the tears prickle the corner of her eyes as her paw fell heavy on his face, leaving a paw shaped impression of slightly red fur upon his dark face four small lines of blood trailing down his cheek, his eyes began to sting as he fought away the tears. He tumbled backwards, the lioness upon him, suddenly it became all to much for him as the tears rolled down his face, he was unsure as to why Kimbi's parents were so protective over her, but the more he thought the more he realised how they must feel. He, as a child, had never been in an environment of carefulness, his father and brothers never had been, but he could see the pain in their mothers faces as he looked back upon the scenes. He was all too aware of who these felines were; Kimbi's parents. He avoided her gaze, Enuthu instead looked at Kimbi, his eyes filled with apologies, his mouth open as if he were about to say something, but nothing came out, he just lay there staring at Kimbi, her belly swelled with their cubs.

Kimbi saw her mothers face as Enuthu growled at her, and she heard her anger as she ran forward and clawed him. A throaty growl came from her chest as she glared at her mother. Words could not express her anger with her that she had struck the love of her life, had gotten so angry with him without even hearing his side of the story. She looked to Enuthu, and her gaze softened, she nuzzled against him gently, whispering, “It’s okay..” She looked back to her mother, growling once more. Just as she was about to move towards her mother, a figure stepped between them.

Kuno had seen it all, his mates rage and striking the young male, and the definite anger that was there. He was boiling inside too, but one look at the young male proved he was apologetic, though he wasn’t sure if his mate could see it or not. At Kimbi’s growl, he got between them, saying softly yet firmly, “Enough. She is our daughter. And.. she is now old enough to make her own choices. Although some I don’t necessarily approve of.” He said, ending on a quiet note. Quite suddenly his hackles raised as he saw figures at the edge of the cavern, before one big figure entered with a snarl.

“Harm another hair on either of those two and it’ll be your life.. Kuno..” He growled, to which he received a throaty growl from Kuno. One glare seemed to silence him. It was Kamal, none other then Kuno’s father and the leader of the pride. “Tell me, Kuno.. When were you planning to tell us.. that you had.. a cub? She obviously wasn’t happy with you, but she and her mate are happy here.” He said, ending on a soft note as he smiled at Kimbi. Then he looked to Urim. “Well well, the mate of my son.. I doubt you ever told her about your long lost family, hmm Kuno?”

Urim:
She shot a cold glance back towards Kimbi.

As she heard an unfamilliar voice, she whir;ed around. `It`ll be your Life Kuno` She narrowed her eyes at the stranger. "And just Who do you think you are to tell him that?" She says. She was furious, her daughter running off with a rouge and now this random stranger had just threatened her mates life. "Why would he have to tell you that?" She says, anger still in her system, none of it going, as her blue eyes were cold and hurt. "His family were Outlanders. Simba even chased him out of the kingdom because of that, so why should i trust a complete stranger who thinks its okay to come waltzing up to us and stop us from sorting Things out?" She says, on the word things, she glared at Enethu. "She is old enough to make decisions, but i will not STAND to see her run away with this thing here." She growls, looking Ethenu up and down.

Enuthu leant into Kimbi's nuzzle and lets out a small sigh "I know..... I love you." he wispseres quietly before heaning his heavy body up, holding his paw to his cheek, it coming away with thick blood smothered across the dark fur. Though when Kimbi begins to growl he stands beside her and wispers "She is your mother.... Its ok..." he nuzzles her affectionately and gives her a gentle lick.

Enuthu feels Kimbi's mothers glare burn into his frame and he still resists looking in her direction, keeping his eyes fixed on other things. Deep down he somehow knew this would happen when he intially ran away with Kimbi, though he never thought they would be this problematic.

All of Enuthus surroundings began to get drowned in the thick liquid of unconscious, living, but approaching sleep. His breath begging to become rushed as the conflict reminds him of his childhood, his brothers, the cave, his father as his dead, glazed over eyes bore holes in his own. Enuthus figure wavers slightly, his fringe flopping around as his shakes the memories away, but to not much use, the memories and eyes still crisp and razor sharp in his mind. He leans against Kimbi gently, his eyes slid shut as he feels light and filled with air.

As the pride entered the cavern, they came and surrounded Urim, their growls filling the air. Kamal stood, his head held high as he glared down Kuno. Kimbi saw her fathers pain, heard the broken voice of her mother as she cried out her rage to the pride Kimbi had come to known. She also heard her mates soft comfort, before he seemed to become lost in a distant world.. His breathing changed, it became heavier and more rushed. She nuzzled him, “Enuthu,” she said softly, “Whats… Whats wrong?” She saw him seeming to stare into space, his breathing still rushed. “Enuthu? Enuthu!” She cried softly, trying to wake him from whatever he was going through. A sudden pain ran through her, causing her to lose her footing and collapse. The pain came again… “Enuthu..” she whispered.. “The cubs..” She closed her eyes tightly as another pain seized her. Her eyes opened to see her parents, the pride she had come to known, before she turned and laid her head as close to Enuthu’s as possible. Her breathing became heavier, a sweat forming on her brow. “E-Enuthu..” She whispered hoarsely, the pain rising in her.. Suddenly a pain gripped her chest, rather then her stomach.. Something wasn’t right.

Kuno came towards Urim, trying to soothe her. “Urim, stop.. Something’s.. something’s not right..” He said, looking to the young male as he seemed lost in a different world. However his worries were soon side tracked as the pride circled around them, and vaguely he heard his daughters cries over the growls and snarls. Kamal stepped forward. “It is not your place to be here for this. It is his place. You best stop hurting him; the more stress she is under, the worse this will be on her.” Kamal said quietly, looking over as Kimbi collapsed. “Her cubs are on their way.. As it is she is in labor too early.. If there is any more stress this could end badly." Kamal glanced to Urim, “The more she sees him like this, and in pain, the more physical pain she will be in. Tell me, do you love your daughter enough to ease some of this pain for her?” He asked her, looking at Kimbi as she lay, overpowered by pain. He walked off, giving a nod to his pride members. “We’ll be back.” He said quietly, before walking off.

Enuthu snapped back to real life as he heard his love crying out her name, he heard her mention them and he lay down beside her, nuzzling her softly, but rapidly, trying to comfort both her and himself. He tried her best to slow her breathing, to make her feel relaxed, safe. He whispered love into her ear and things of love, he desperately tried to do something, anything to help his mate. "I'm right here, don't worry.." He said calmly, even though he felt as if he would start buzzing violently with the stress and pressure and commotion. He placed his paw delicately on Kimbi's and gave her the best reassuring smile her could muster, his vocal cords slowly starting to chafe. He shuffled closer to his love, letting their fur touch and mingle as he attempted to slow his own breathing.


After he finally set into a slow breathing rate he looked deep into Kimbis beautiful eyes and said quietly "I am here and you are fine and you will be fine," his eyes were full of love and the deep knowing that something was wrong. He licked her cheek very softly, not caring that her face was wet with sweat. He was trying to be the best mate he could be, unknowing if it was too much or not enough, and so he just stuck with what his instincts told him to do and stayed close by struggling Kimbis side. *She is so young...* he thought slowly remembering her parents words, they were so young, he shook the thought from his head, knowing now was not the time to have a debate with himself.

Her breathing became more and more rapid, as pain gripped her chest once more. She felt her mates paw touch her own, heard his comforting words, before her world around her started to fade. Shivering, she felt her chest arch in pain, as she started shaking uncontrollably. With each contraction the pain in her chest became worse, until finally her world went black.. And in that blackness, she could hear things going on around her.. the cries of her newborn cubs, the pained voices around her.. She didn't know how much time had passed... But just when all hope seemed lost, a light flickered in the darkness.

She realized her eyes were open. A bundle of tiny cubs were around her, one black with silver stripes and she saw it was.. a male, and another more of an orange liger coloring; a girl. There was one other cub, which held the liger markings and had a black tuft of fur on his head; a male. Two males, one female... Only they were nursing a nearby lioness.. But they were hers. She knew they were.. Why weren't they near her? She looked over them slowly, before looking around herself, realizing she was at the edge of the cave with old flowers around her, "E-Enuthu?" She called.. What she didn't realize, was that she was thought to be dead..

Enuthu felt Kimbi slipping from him, and he never gave up, he stayed by her side, not saying a word, just furiously trying to rub life and love into her fading body. As she arched and screamed in pain and her soft body began shaking violently he called out for help, his voice loud and desperate, hopping someone, anyone would come to their aid. He remained by her side now screaming at her to stay with him tears streaming down his face in a torrent of salty water. He felt her going cold, he knew she wouldn't make it and so simply whispered "I love you, Kimbi." As her body went limp, he didn't care much about the wailing infants, nor the sudden arrival of several lionesses and tigers, he just experienced the loss of his one love and he couldn't have her back. He sat there, frozen his eyes lost and glazed as he longed for his queens return.

It had been three long months of hiding away, desperately trying to fill the whole Kimbi left gaping open with the cubs and endless thinking. It had taken this long to just convince Enuthu to let another come see him and his quickly growing cubs. He saw Kimbi in his daughter and so had called her 'Kumbu-memory" he had a special connection with her and was the one he was most protective over. He had not named the boys as of yet, something within his shattered heart forcing him to wait. He smiled when his cubs watched him, but when they slept or played he sunk back into repairing his gaping, internal wound; his memories of Kimbi, sweet, beautiful Kimbi.

He was startled by a white lionesses face under his and he blushed, not wanting to seem rude but quietly said "My sweet, you are wasting your affection for I have none to give you in return." he gave her a hint of a smile and she lay back down, hurt by his rejection, letting the cubs drink once more.

Kimbi blinked as her eyes adjusted to the darkness... Enuthu was not near her.. Her cubs were with another lioness, but.. but why... She couldn't see everything in the dark, but as a voice filled the darkness, her hearing not up to par yet.. she looked in the direction of the voice. The voice had been too far off and her hearing still too impaired to make out what he had said, but she had seen enough.. It was Enuthu, blushing, as a lioness nuzzled against him. She felt her cheeks grow hot, tears filled her eyes, not realizing that he had just rejected her. She saw him smiling at her as she lay back down, and stared, jaw slackening..

Slowly, she shifted, trying to find her way to her paws. As she stood on shaky paws she saw her cubs, who were now able to walk and speak to others. A black male cub strolled up to her. "Hey... Are you a zombie?" He asked innocently, peering up at her as he sat down on his haunches. She stared down at him.. This was.. this was her son.. and he didn't even know her. She looked back up as the white lioness seemed to smile contently, a slight smirk to her features that would otherwise go unnoticed. It seemed her life, or the life she had known, had been taken from her.. Or had it really?

The unnamed male liger trotted after his brother, nipping at his tail tuft giggling. His eyes were large as he saw his mother for the first time with a knowing mind. "Zambe?" he said shivering slightly out of confusion and shock. He ran up to her leg and hugged it tightly, pressing his dark face against hers, smiling widely, liking the new game his brother had come up with and played along. He called his sister over giggling "Kumooo! Come play!" he nestled onto Kimbis leg, unknowing that she was his mother and smiled up at her. Kumbu stumbled towards them, her eyes glistening as she came, she smiled and awaited instructions as to what they were playing.

Enuthu noticed his liger son and Kumbu run off and said to the lioness smiling very faintly "You can return to your den now, thank you for your help.." he said dismissing her. As Enuthu turned around and saw Kimbi live and well surrounded by her cubs he froze "K-Kimbi...." his eyes widened and he slowly said "No... No this must be a dream.... You died and I know that, I have to face it I'm never getting you back.." he said solumly, turning his back and laying down so that his freshly repaired hole wasn't fared open by her appearance again.

Kimbi looked as her cubs came over to her and started climbing on her leg, she nuzzled against them. "Oh little children.." She said softly, smiling. She couldn't help but smile. "I am your mother.. But maybe I am a bit of a.. zombie.. too..." She said, play growling as she leaned down to the cub that was huddled around her leg, ending up breathing air and licks onto his chest. Laughter filled her until she saw her mate, walking towards her and saying that it must be a dream.. That she had.. died.. That he was never getting her back... She looked down...


"Enuthu.." She said softly. "Y-You're not dreaming..." She gave a gentle lick to her cubs before walking over to him the black cub following her. "What you mean.. She's our mama." He said, nodding to the lioness they had been nursing. A hurt expression came to Kimbi's features as she looked to Enuthu. "It seems you.. don't want me to be here.. " She said quietly. "Our cubs.. my.. cubs.. Don't even know me, Enuthu!" At this the black cub took a step back. "Whats.. she talkin' about, daddy?"

The black liger snuggled into his mothers warm coat and nuzzled her with his wet nose, smiling widely before nipping his brother. Kumbu looked at her mother and said "I look like you! Daddy look I look the same as the big lioness!!" she said excitedly. Enuthu began to toss inside, all of the commotion causing his mind to short circuit. "But I mustbe dreaming because you have died[ I saw you dead and I watched helpless as you did die.."/b] he said franticly, this whole thing confusing him further as he ran the logic through his bursting thoughts. Enuthu saw the look of hurt on Kimbis face and could resist nuzzling her "Kimbi....I tried to replace you with Kumbu, but your father insisted that a lioness comes to feed them everyday, I had no choice but to let her be their adoptive mother. White you gone we had nobody's to care for us..." Enuthu didn't care if she was a dream or not, it was Kimbi and he held every touch and emotion with her dear within his heart.

Enuthu turned to his cubs "Cubs, this is your truemother" he said licking Kimbis cheek.

Kumbu looked from her mother to her father "Mamai??" she said carefully as she ran towards her mother, hugging her soft leg, smiling widely. He brother joined her and they mewed up at their true mother, not confused as it would seem

The black cub mewed at her, before Enuthu started to speak. Kimbi listened, as he told her she had to be dead.... that he had seen her die.. "But I am here... now.." She said, emphasizing the word now with affection. As he nuzzled her she felt relief and the familiar affection within her. As he explained that there was a foster mother to care for them she nodded. "They won't need her any more.." She said with a slight firmness, as he told her cubs she was their true mother.. They mewed up at her, the black one joining them.


"Yes.. " she told her cubs. "I am your mama." She nuzzled against her cubs, seeing that Kumba looked a lot lke her. Smiling she said softly. "She looks like me, but she has your eyes." She said softly, nuzzling Enuthu. Finally, everything seemed right with the world.

Enuthu sensed her firmness and chuckled "No..." he smiled at Kimbi, feeling her warmth and smiled *So... I didn't loose her, I have a second chance...* he gave Kimbi and his cubs a large bear hug. At the mention of Kumbu he looked deep into Kimbis eyes "And I wish she had yours.." he said distantly, loosing himself in familiarity and deep relief. However it wouldn't be long until the shock of her being alive that whole time would wash over him, three months was a long time to be alone with growing cubs.

Kumbu looked at her fathers eyes and jumped up and down excitedly "I do!!" her voice was high and excited, the finding of her mother had excited her considerably, normally she wasn't like this, never quite this loud anyway. The dark liger cub softly hit Kumbu across the muzzle, giggling "there... Quiet" he said his face contempt with her silence

(remember I play the black liger cub lol, which would be the abandoned cub that will be Kumbu's love interest. But if you would like the other cub to be a darker pelt as well, thats fine.)

Kimbi smiled at the repeat of him saying no, his chuckles filled her.. However, at his mention of him wishing her daughter had her eyes, she smiled, shaking her head. "Enuthu, she's perfect how she is." Her young cub Kumbu started jumping around saying she did have her eyes. The words he had spoken earlier hit her.. That he had tried to replace her with Kumbu.. her daughter.. She looked up at him, pulling him away from the cubs for a moment. "Enuthu.. Kumbu is your daughter.. nothing more.." She said firmly, then looked to her daughter.

She looked back to Enuthu. "Kumbu is not me, and I know it was painful seeing her look so much like me but you must never... ever... think of her like you think of me." She said firmly, before nuzzling him. "I know this has been incredibly hard for you, but don't worry.. it will all be okay now.."

Enuthu was struck by Kimbis firmness and he fumbled for words, but all he could say was "I'm sorry..." he watched her daughter play, her green eyes bright and filled with joy, he knew she was not Kimbi, bug the loss of her had given him a life long pain deep within his heart, and he did the thing that everyone does, desperately try to fill it. He leant into her nuzzle and returned it to her smiling warmly Kimbi was back, with him, they were together with a family, with a home. "I know" he purred into her ear! his green eyes filled with love and passion! he was reunited with his lighter half and he had been craving to feel her warm touch for three months.

The cave was filled with laughter and love, what a family was support to sound like. Enuthu was not sure as to how to be a good father, but somehow he knew he wouldn't be a bad one, his father had tought him what it was like to be scarred as a child, and he locked those memories deep within him.
