She woke up, breathing rapidly. Ara shook her head and walked outside the breeze blowing on her. She didn't say anything just silence. She looks startled for a moment, as she realises the cubs are coming. Her pupils shrink as she begins to feel a tremendous pain in her stomach. She laid down, scrunching her eyes and biting her lips as not to scream out.

Arlo's tears patters on the cave floor and he try's to control his emotions, but he can't help it, the tears just keep coming.

Arlo stops crying and realises Ara isn't there, he looks up and sees her shuddering with pain. He runs up to her, gudes her back to the cave and lies her down and comforts her trying to remain as calm as he can.

She grumbles something, beginning to push, tears falling from her eyes, until eventually four healthy cubs were born, she smiled as the tears of pain turned to tears of pure happiness. She cried and cradles them. She cleans all of them, with a smile on her face.

Arlo smiles a huge grin down at his small little cubs and licks them all and Ara. " They are beautiful, they are the most gorgeous cubs the world has ever seen." He smiles down at the small little cubs.

She smiles. "Yes, yes they are." She says with a purr, her eye catching the female cub, pawing her fathers nose. She laughed, examining the cubs, until she noticed the females leg. "Arlo, the female, her leg." Was what she said in sympathy for the young females leg, which was twisted beyond repair.

Arlo sighed but said "She is still the most beautiful little cub in the world, she will just need some extre support, that is all" Arlo was not going to abandon any of his cubs as his parents had done to him

"How about, Ura, Artemis Merizu, and Pluto" she says with a smile, as Artemis stumbled over his mothers paws and rolled over on the floor and sneezes.

" You think?!"" He says smiling and licking Artemis, letting him fall asleep, then placing him back down in his mothers arms with his siblings. "We love you." He says looking down at the small cubs curled up in Ara's arms.

"Yes, your already doing well. They're lucky to have you as a father." She says, letting out a yawn. She looked down at the cubs and smiled as theg slept.

She smiles, nodding her head once, and falling into a deep sleep, a peaceful one at that, she was at ease.

Arlo sat up guarding his new born family, but soon got tired and fell asleep, but it was a light sleep so he would notice if anyone came into the cave.

Ara continued to sleep, protecting the cubs, her paws still wrapped tighty around in an embrace.
Meanwhile two green orbs watches the couple from the distance, smirking. She snook in quietly, grabbing one of the cubs and running away. She would raise the cub as her own and agaknst Arlo and Ara

Arlo heard the figure creep into the cave and his eyes snapped open too late, he looked at Ara and only counted three cubs. He roared and tried to see where the theft had run away to, but it was to hard to see in the dark, he awoke Ara and cried, he broke the bad news to her and looked ashamed.

Ara woke up at the roar, confused, when she was about to ask why he had roared, she counted 3 cubs. She shook her head, not saying a word and leaving into the dark, following the hauntingly familiar scent. She soon found the cubnapper. Meupi. She growled, as Meupi spun around. "Oh, if it isn't that little lion who thjnks she's so good. Don't mind me, im just stealing your cub." She mocked them with the way how she managed to get away, Ara snarled and hit Meupi, causing Meupi to drop the cub, Ara picked it up, but Meupi took the cub back, and snapoed its small neck dropping it to the floor. Meupi then ranoff. Ara let out a scream of hurt and sadness, taking the cubs body back to the cave.

Arlo saw the limp body of the cub in Ara's mouth and sat Down out of shock "who?..." He didn't wait to find out

He roared and ran out of the cave, not caring about the dark but following the fresh trail of scent. He followed it to find Meupi at the end of the trail.
Arlo shook with rage "HOW DARE YOU, HOW DARE YOU KILL ONE OF MY CUBS." He slashed her many a time and tried to cut her throat. His eyes had become small and he boiled with anger "HOW DARE YOU RETURN, I KILLED YOU."

Meupi smiled. "I did tell Ara when i totured her, that i WOULD come back and i WOULD kill your cubs.." She said with a grin on her face. "They were ugly, just like her." She hisses, slashing round the face in anger and ruunning.

Meupi realised there was nowhere to go. With that, she climbed the nearest tree, waiting until her friends would come and help. "Oh dear Arlo. Looks like your surrounded." She laughs, still in the tree. 3 lioness crept out. "Perhaps you should meet my sisters Dwala Diku and Zira. Goodbye Arlo, hoped you enjoyed your stay! " she laughs, as her sisters creep closer.
Ara continued to cry over the small male. She soon felt anger rise, she hid the cubs well, and bounded towards the lionesses and Arlo. She pounced on Zira, ripping a chunk from her ear. Ara pressed her paw to Ziras throat. "Call them off, or she dies." Meupi just laughed. "A sacrifice can be made. Wait, where are you going?!" She yells to her siblings, who were taking Zira away. Ara rushed back to the cave and the cubs.

Now Arlo smiled, circling the tree, "Awww poor little Meupi is stuck in a tree with no one to save her. You are going to wish you were dead when I get my paws on you." He says smiling unlionly huge. He clambered up the tree, calmly and precisely, never loosing his footing or his nerve. He pursued Meupi to the top of the tree and to the end of the thinnest branch. "Now where is little Meupi going to go?" He said smiling and purring, staring at the bleeding, defenceless lioness "Death or Death?" He said purring. "Jump or fight?" He said his eyes hard but his mouth wide. Arlo flicked his tail waiting patiently as he saw the possible things to do and what there out comes would be run across her face, pure panic in her eyes. "Like I said Death or Death." He had cornered her perfectly, all he needed to do was wait.

"Oh, I always go down with a fight." She grins, diving at him, this will knock them both from the tree. Meupi dug her claws into his back and went for the eyes. "Atleast I will die, knowing I killed one of you. One of your little runts." She smirked and whispered into his ear, before falling backwards, and dragging Arlo to the floor with her.

He stared at her, not believing what she had done, but looked at her face and found it was content, her eyes were closed waiting for the in pact to crumple her body ending her life. Arlo was upset, he no longer wanted to kill Meupi, bit he then remembered what she had done to him and his family and spin in the air making sure Meupi was beneath him. "Meupi." He licked her, playing with her emotions, then said "I never wanted to kill you, but you killed a part of he first." His tone turning sour. They slammed into the ground and all Arlo saw was black.

Despite being a distance away, she heard a crunch, and ran towards the sound, seeing a dead Meupi and a possibility of a dead Arlo, she ran up. The cubs were hid. "Arlo?" She says j6dging him gently.
