The light breeze brushed her form soothing the baking heat of the sun and caused the strands of grass to tickle her long legs, the sound of the winds calm rush in her ears bringing her the scents of the savannah around her; how it toyed with the leafy crown of the nearby umbrella trees, and tangled the torn edges of her stained blindfold. The morning seemed serene and quiet, only sounds beyond the wind was the heartfelt chirping of birds that greeted the dawn’s ascension.
Paws quietly trudged the damp earth, her stride was determined yet precise, her pale sandy white form blended well with the golden grasses, though such camouflage was sadly rendered moot by the blazing blue flame ever flickering from the tip of her tail. Purple nose twitched for scents, part of Na'hina's mind was hoping maybe there was an abandoned meal nearby, she hadn’t eaten since yesterday and that meal hadn’t proved to be much given the carrion she had found were so old that it was partially mummified.
Perhaps the spirits would be kind enough to grant her more luck today.

Walla had finished yet another hearty meal, the remains of which sat behind her, bare bones and shiny fresh flesh gleaming in the dawn's light. Walla herself lay sprawled on her favourite rock, ready to enjoy the morning rays herself, when she spied a bobbing blue flame in the distance. "Curious," she said, sitting up and squinting, but still couldn't quite make it out. For a moment she considered going and taking a look, but even shifting her enormous belly on the rock was enough to dissuade her. She was too fat and too heavy to catch up, so she merely sat and watched as the bobbing light moved across her vista.
Very subtly, the wind shifted so it blew from her and her fresh kill to the object which she was observing...

Keeping her steady walking Na’hina was quietly losing herself in her thoughts, a slightly dangerous thing to do given how vulnerable she would be if someone considered her a threat and attacked her. However her musings were kept short when the winds more picked up brushing past her form, once more offering some soothing reprieve from the baking sun.
However in this scent lay something that caused her stomach to tie up, and slightly rumble, the smell of a fresh kill. She lifted her muzzle into the air to try and pinpoint the direction of where the smell was coming from, there was something else mixed into the scent of food, but given Na’hina’s starved state she hadn’t noticed that the scent indicated the meal was far from abandoned.
Locking on the smell’s direction Na’hina made her way over, rather determined in her strides, hoping that the vultures hadn’t spotted it yet. Unfortunately as she got closer and smells overall got stronger, so too did the scent of this stranger, the feline smell which blended into the carrion scent. This caused the blinded girl to stop, she could hear breathing up ahead of her, indicating that she was still a comfortable distance from whomever this was, beyond it being a female lioness, she had no other indications of it.
“Oh, I…I-” the girl began, staring in the general direction of this other female, her flamed-tipped tail swaying with slight nervousness. “I didn’t realize the prey was taken.” She added catching her silence, with a slight swallow. Maybe she should just back away and walk on… usually there was nothing to gain from taken kills; other than risking potential injury.

Walla had been watching as the little flame changed direction and come closer, and was startled to see that it was attached to a lioness' tail. A skinny little lioness too. "Your tail's on fire!" she blurted, then pulled herself to her feet. If the grass were to catch alight they would both have to run.

Na’hina stood her ground, hoping maybe this lioness would be kind enough to made share a piece with her, though the chance of that happening was slim, in fact she had a greater chance of getting hit by a meteorite. As the other female finally spoke, Na’hina if she could still blink without causing a presisent stringing pain to herself would be just about now. Lifting her flame tipped tail up and beside her, the female turned her head briefly towards her tail before focusing once more in the general direction of this lioness.
“Don’t worry, it’s not actual fire.” She smiled, trying to calm what sounded like worry from the other lioness. Indeed the flame might look like a flame but it was not fire at all and for that matter not particularly warm to touch, in fact it was relatively temperate to cold most of the time. Not that she'd let anyone but herself touch it, having a stranger touch it would be a sever invasion of her personal space, after all you don’t let just about anyone touch your very soul.

Walla was silent for a few seconds. "I hope you don't mind me saying so, but that is the most fascinating thing I have ever seen!" She pulled herself closer to the edge of her rock. "Where did you get it? Why? How? I'm sorry: I'm Walla, by the way. Are you hungry? You're very thin. You mentioned my kill earlier. You can have some if you want, though there's not much left." She looked at the blindfold and said, "Do you need help climbing upon the rock?"

Her ears folded back a little as the female stated how it was the fascinating thing she had ever seen, so this was a mundane person then? This was in retrospect a good thing considering they outright wouldn’t be able to see the disembowel zebra standing not too far away not that Na’hina had yet to meet anyone else that could see the dead and spirits like she could, she made a mental note to deal with that zebra later, it shouldn’t stay here.
A flurry of questions then hit her ears coming in such rapid succession that she couldn’t procure an answer, “Pleasure, Walla. I'm Na'hina” She bowed in courtesy upon hearing the other’s name; the ears swirled forward upon being offered a meal she could feel her mouth slightly watering at the thought. Slowly she approached the rock “No, I-I think I’ll be okay, but thanks.” She stated placing a paw on the rock’s surface gently touching it to find a leveled place onto which she could hoist herself. Once she was on the rock she slowly steadied herself and gently pawed her way towards the carcass, bending down she ripped some of the meat still left on off and chewed it down.
A sigh of relief and content escaped her muzzle as she savored her first taste of fresh meat in weeks, “As for the flame, I was born with it.” She spoke through a slight shrug, ‘Among other things’ she added in thought, settling herself down on her haunches with the tail wrapped neatly around her forepaws, the flame would always seek the sky no matter which way she turned her tail.

"Does it burn?" Walla said. Curiosity finally overcame her laziness and she heaved herself to her feet, large stomach hanging ponderously close to the ground. She leaned close and sniffed the little flame. If it were a real flame, she would have burned her nose. "How come it doesn't burn you, or start grass fires? No wonder you're so thin: you wouldn't be able to catch anything with a flame drawing attention to you. But stick with me and I'll keep you well-fed."
