I went to Iceland for a training course with my team, so I don't have my best photos. I have my favourite 10 I'll show you (go on then ) A lot of the training we did was aerial which was as frightening as it was amazing. So you're not seeing all my practice shots for that... But all in all Iceland is an amazing country and should you guys ever get the chance to go there, then take it as I don't know many places as unique and beautiful as Iceland! We travelled mainly on the eastern side of the country, visited a few islands, and made day trips to volcanoes/glaciers/Geyser/waterfalls as well as well as travelling to the west coast later on. All these photos were taken in the same country (It's hard to believe) but the diversity was just so breath-taking! It literally feels like landing on another planet (cue lunar mission RPing from me and my team)^^ The landscape will blow your mind if you ever manage to visit!!! My words of wisdom: Screw hot countries, visit ICELAND! This is Seljalandsfoss, a magnificent waterfall taken at 10 pm (It gets dark in Iceland at about midnight) May I present, the world's best outdoor spa: The Blue Lagoon!!!! I felt spoilt rotten with the pool waitresses and the natural silica face masks and the heat!! But hey I had to stay up and wake up at ridiculous hours so we needed a break ;P Just before sunrise at Namafjall: Pretending I'm on Mars [cue Mission to Mars RPing] Woke up at 4:00 am for this shot which was hard, but it truly was magnificent! I present the glacial lagoon at dawn!!! At Dyrhólaey: Aaargh how do I take a bloody photo in mid-air???!! -Quote from me Sólfar, the wonderful Sun Voyager in Rejkjavik at Midnight! Iceland's capital in which 2/3 of the 300,000 people on the island live. A wonderful city!! This is Strokkur (means big) and Iceland's most iconic geyser. It errupts every 10-15 mins and usually you'll see white steam but with the sun setting, this is what we got!! Sorry about the blur, but damn with polar winds keeping tripods steady is a challenge! This is a silica pond, and is truly a remarkable sight to behold! It glows a bright turquoise which stands out in the grey landscape... Oooooh This is Vík, where you'll find the famous black sand beaches which are awesome! (Stardust fans, this is where Septimus was filmed on the beach here [cue more Rping from the team and I]) Puffins!!!!! Unfortunately none of my photos won our little competition to see who got the best photograph But here's the winner by my friend and partner Hope, who honestly deserved the 50 Euros we bet. This was our only photo of an Artic fox!! I waited and waited and waited for a shot of one, but I can't control wildlife :/ This was taken during our last day in Hornstrandir Nature reserve in Northwest Iceland . . . . .

These are BEAUTIFUL. Especially the waterfall and the silica pond (is it water inside or silica?). And what's a glacier lagoon? It actually makes me a little sad that I probably won't ever see places like this first hand due to my travel restrictions (don't worry. I'll be over it in 5 minutes) but thanks for sharing anyway:). Definitely the most wonderful photos on TLKGO at least! Mind if I use one for a desktop image?

Thanks guys! It's amazing how much time you have to spend waiting for the perfect scene to come as a photographer and it's even more amazing the amount of hours you wait for a shot that never comes :/ So it's great to receive positive feedback!! I didn't do any of the final editing because I'm lazy so I'll have to thank the rest of my team for that later...
A silica lake has water inside but you'll find huge quantities of silica in it which gives it it's glowing turquoise colour. And a glacial lake is a lake formed from a melted glacier so there'll be huge chunks of ice floating in it and on a sunny day, the whole thing is an amazing crystal blue. And I don't mind at all if you use one!!
Thanks so much guys ^^
