The Mortal Lions

So some of you may or may not have read the Mortal Instruments series, but I had this idea when reading the 3rd book. 

Clary, Jace, Alec, Isabelle and Simon have been sent to the furthest point in NYC where a mysterious portal is, naturally the group are curious as to what it is and so decide to travel through it. However where they end up is nothing what they expected, it is some sort of dark shadow land where a group of lions reside fighting to stay alive. The group don't understand but eventually they find that it is in fact because of Valentine they have got this way, now the shadowhunters who have become lions due to a curse Valentine has set up have to find with only their stealth, wit and agility. No weapons for this group...
