Kito woke up , careful not to wake kovu she slid from underneath him and softly let his body fall to the ground. Kito peeked out of the cave. The savanna sun had just started rising. She quickly snook out using the golden tanny grass to hide. She focoused ahead on a antelope herd

Kovu groaned softly in his sleep before rolling over onto his side.

*Kito suddenly and unexpectedly jumped from the grass and charged towards the antelope. She was quick to think as to which antelope to bring down. And there it was an old weak,very slow antelope that had lost its spring. Kito lashed out at its hind-legs causing it to fall in pain and give a cry of distress however the other antelope of the herd had ran away. Kito slit the animals throat and dragged the carcass back to the cave where kovu was still asleep.

Kito finished off her meal her mouth stained with blood. When kito saw kovu chowing down on the food she laughed. All lions can eat more than they weight she thought

*Kito after what seemed hours finally pounced on kovu knocking him to the floor and playfully tugging his ear*
"Ive finally got you now kovu!"
*Kito grinned but then her ears flicked back when she heard shouting coming from the direction of priderock*

Kovu sat up, "What was that?"
At Pride Rock there was fear, Nala and Simba were trying to usher the pride out of a gap in the back of the cave and Kiara was waiting to lead them away. "What are humans doing here!" Nala exclaimed suddenly.
"I don't know Nala, but run. I'll stay here and try and keep them at bay, I'll follow you as soon as possible."
"Simba-"
"Go Nala." He nuzzled his mate and watched her flee after the Pride before he raced to the cave mouth, ready to fight if he needed too.

Kovu reached Pride Rock in time to see a human knocking Simba over, "Simba!" He cried, obviously to the humans it would sound like a roar and they'd turn to face him and Kito giving Simba chance to escape.

*Kito arrived and stood beside kovu* "Kovu he has something in his hand!" *Kito dident know what it was but the human was carrying a gun*
*Kitos eye sight being keen saw the human aiming at kovu and jumped in front of him sheilding him from the hunters shot*

*Bang!* The hunters shot had been fired Kito was protecting kovu, the shot came to inpact with kitos front right leg she could still make it though she just had to take him down Kito kep on moving in a ziggy zaggy motion until she reached the hunter and attacked him in a fury leaving his corpse lying there. Her leg was wounded and all she could feel was a searing pain through her leg. *Its my fault she thought and i deserved this* *Kito passed out*

Kovu would look at Kito in shock, Simba would arrive behind Kovu, "Take care of her, I'll bring the Pride back and try to find Rafiki." He said before walking off.
Kovu who was panicking would begin licking Kito's wound to ease the blood flowing, eventually the blood would stop and Rafiki would arrive just in time to remove the bullet safely. "Now we wait." Rafiki said, patting Kovu on the back.

Kovu laughed and nodded, "Promise." He offered her his flank so she could stand by leaning on him.
Simba and Nala watched the duo knowingly whereas Kiara just watched jealously.
