(OOC: So this is just a little experiment so please bare with me I'm a little rusty)
As the sun rose across the African plains a gentle breeze swept across the area causing the grass to quiver ever so slightly. The day was cool and the sky was black which showed how wet season was drawing close.
This particular morning found Jade, an adolescent lioness sat on the edge of the clear blue watering hole watching her younger sister Luna splash around in the shallows. Jade raised her sleek golden head as she heard a twig snap close by. The lionesses green eyes glinted and a low growl passed her lips as she automatically stepped closer to the small cub who was still oblivious to her older sisters change in mood.

(You know if you wanted you could join us in "beyond the horizon." It's kind of a freestyle role play: people just join as they choose.).
Uschi was famished. She'd been on the run for two weeks now. Her makeshift raft had beached itself on a sandbank and for the first time she'd had to walk. But she wasn't built for walking . Ad now she was hungry. But she wasn't built for hunting either. Her whole life she'd grown up pampered by maids and servants, from which she'd gained a luxurious coat, beautiful claws, ivory-white teeth, and a big soft body with a stomach so large she could barely keep it off the ground.
See? Not made for hunting or walking at all.
Instead she tried her hand at something old King Figgy had taught her: setting traps for her prey. She'd found a game trail heading into a waterhole and carefully set her trap across it. It was hard work: her fingers were clumsy and she'd had to start again serval times. But at last she'd finally got it. With a sigh she turned around to step away, but her back leg brushed against the twig and it snapped. Uschi had just a moment to hear a nearby growl before the vine hauled her above the ground and she was left dangling by a paw. No amount of wiggling would set her free and she couldn't reach her feet, so at last she had to resort to calling out, "Help! Heelp!"

(I didn't notice it or I would have haha, I can't see everything on my phone  ) Jade perked up at the cry for help. She glanced at her Luna who was playing around in the water, the voice didn't sound too far away, could she risk it? "Luna, stay here and if you here ANYTHING hide. I'll be as quick as I can." She ordered her sister who nodded. Still snarling, Jade turned on her heel and bounded towards the sound. She skid to a halt at the sight of the helpless female and began snickering, enjoying the sight. "Well, well. What have we here?" The lioness crooned, padding around the lioness, taking in everything. |

Uschi's blood was running to her head, though at the sound of the not-too-friendly voice she did her best to stop wriggling. "I was setting a trap... My foot's stuck," she said, trying not to sound as helpless as she felt. There was a ring of black around her vision growing thicker by the moment. "Would you please help me down?"

Jade thought for a moment before resuming her circling around her. "Fine." Jade went to the rope and without warning and not so gently bit the rope causing it to rip and the other lioness to fall to the floor. "Nice trip?" Jade smirked.

Uschi landed with a grunt on one shoulder, her legs poking up in the air for a fraction of a second before flopping to the earth. She landed on her side, with her enormous stomach spreading over the earth between her legs. "Not really," she moaned, daring only to lift her head, but she met the other lioness' eyes squarely and said, "But thank you for your help. It was my first time making a trap... my grandfather would be most disappointed in my efforts."
Then she tried to reach over her heavy belly to remove the ropey vine, effectively trying to do crunches on her side, but all she succeeded in doing was making her many rolls of fat shake and wobble like the skin of an itchy zebra. She looked up at her reluctant saviour again and said, "I'm sorry... would you mind?"

Jade couldn't help but laugh before eventually moving the vines, 'There.' She said. Stepping back and settling on her haunches. 'You need to lose weight.' She continued rather rudely.
'Who is your grandfather?' A small voice behind the pair asked and Luna walked into sight. Her tiny form pouncing around excitedly.

Uschi sat up awkwardly, "I know," she said, replying to the young lioness. To the cub she said, "He was the first mountain king... He wasn't really my grandfather. He was my great grandfather. But he lived longer than my real grandfather, so he was like one to me. He taught me traps." She smiled at the little cub. She had a nice smile, one that reached her light brown eyes. "May I have your names? Is your pride around here?"

"No you-" Jade began but was cut off.
"My name is Luna and this is my big sister Jadey!"
"Jade." The older sibling corrected her.
"Jadey." Luna pouted. "Anyway, we have no pride we ran away! Well Jadey did, I just followed. What's your name?" Luna asked padding up to the other lioness, continuing to jump around eagerly.

Kito doing nothing in particular, wandered around the vast savannah looking for some kind of adventure or something fun. Until she was met by vines thrown to the floor in a pile. She sniffed them only to find 2 lionesses scents. Then she heard the sound of laughter nearby and through the bright sun she could make out 3 splodge shapes 2 appeared to be older whilst one appeared to be younger. Kito ducked into a nearby thicket hiding and spying her green eyes locked onto the same location....

Luna getting bored ran around the area and came across the thicket. She scented someone or something nearby, so naturally the young cub decided to investigate. "Who's there?" Luna asked, sounding braver than she felt.

"Its just a cub... aww shes so cute!" But i cant risk the older lionesses finding me they could be from my old pride looking and tracking me down ready to kill me. *Silence*

Luna giggled and ran off. "Jadey, Jadey meet my new friend." Luna called as she ran.
Jade turned her attention to Luna's voice and tilted her head slightly. "What?"

"Wow well my pride was far from nice since I was born they hated me because of who I am im only just turning into a teen and they kicked me out and well they said if I ever go back they will kill me and they said that if they bump into me they will kill me as well so I just stealth around and I've been running ever since.
