Kunona's heart was glad when little Akira had come to speak to her. How the little cub had perceived that she was upset though, Kunona did not know. Kunona had been taught to hide every emotion she felt. After two weeks, had she forgotten her lessons? Nevertheless she smiled and said, "Oh, I don't mind, little one. I understand." Then she leaned down and said softly, "Did you know that where I come from, a larger lioness is considered more beautiful? It's the males that do the hunting in my pride. That's why I'm 'quite a sight' as you say: so I would look good on my wedding day when I marry the prince of another pride. And I personally think with such pretty eyes as yours you would look very beautiful rounder and softer." She winked. "Perhaps you could attract the eye of a prince of your own!"

Nuri waited impatiently for the Lion to answer, "Wingu, let's test your speed now."

Another Lioness was wandering the pridelands, She was a pridelander, but not by birth. Well, not of this pride anyway. she'd been scouting the savannah for a couple of weeks and had stumbled across a waterhole she'd never come across before. Following some tracks she'd found it led her to two lionesses and a cub, she hid behind a rock and watched them and listen to their conversation.

She looked at Uschi with fire and excitement in her eyes, "A prince?!" Akira never thought of how different prides can be, but then again, she did remember that the world is an amazing and large place; it's full of different lions and who knows what else. She hadn't seen much of the world but she wasn't even a year old yet.

She never thought about 'being' with someone, the thought kind of sickened her but at the same time, a prince had only amazed her! It was almost every young lioness's dream to marry a prince. Unfortunately she would grow out of the thought, but until then she was content thinking that was exactly how life would turn out; a fairytale.

The Lioness looked at the young cub who'd spoken in surprise and excitement, /Lion princes?/ she inwardly asked herself, /That Pride must be amazing./ she added quietly. As she watched them she tapped a small rock that skidded and rolled from her hiding place.

Mufasa was the first one to notice the new lioness. He said, in suprise,
"Who's there?"
That drew Kala's attention, too. She stood slightly in front of Akira, in case this new lion was dangerous. They'd met far too many new lions for Kala's liking in the past few days.

Akria's attention was instantly pulled to the moving rock and then the huge boulder. Most cubs would be afraid, but Akira had met too many nice lions that had approached them that she almost felt secure. She looked at Kala and Mufasa and walked around them towards the boulder the little rock had come from. The closer she got the more she shrank to the ground; she may not be totally afraid, but there were still possibilities in her mind.

"H-hello? Who are you?" she asked softly. "Please come out." She now only stood two feet away, but there she stopped progressing towards this new company.

[Amani]

Amani caught up with Nina, who had already had beaten him. Amani said, catching his breath, "Ok.... You win... You're fast." Looking up, he saw two lionness, a lion, and a cub. He wondered if he should trust them after the last time. He slowly moved towards them quietly, trying not to make a sound.

"Thank you." Nina replied. Looking up she noticed they had gone past the main waterhole. "This must be a different waterhole. We must have ran past the other one playing." she thought. She saw the lions too. She looked over at Amani, trying to motion him to go back, but he seemed to continue. She followed closely behind him, ready to try and get them out of there if it was dangerous.

Kunona shrank to the ground at the sound of a newcomer, trying to hide herself, though it was a futile effort with such a bulky form. Fear turned her light brown eyes into orbs. Could they have found her, already??
"Please..." she said in a shaky voice to Kala and Mufasa. "If it's him, if he's here for me, please don't let him take me back."

[Lokisenna]

The Lioness sighed as her cover was broken, and she lifted herself onto the boulder looking somewhat guilty and annoyed at herself for being found, "Who are all you?" She asked curiously, her face covered with an inquisitive smile.

Her tail flicked itself casually as she asked the question.

Kunona sighed with relief - it wasn't him, at least. She knew she should let the others speak - this was their pride after all - but Akira had strayed dangerously close to the new lioness. She had to distract her. Kunona struggled up into her most regal sitting position, only the stubs of her legs poking out from under the layers of fat on her neck and chest, and said, "I am Uschi, and usually it's newcomers who introduce themselves first. Praytell your name and origin, and what you are doing here?"

Akira being the cub she was didn't think about safety, "I'm Akira," she pointed to Kala and Mufasa with her tail, "and this is Kala, and Mufasa." She bit her tongue after she had spoken knowing she probably shouldn't have shared so much information without knowing anything about this new lion. She didn't really know Uschi very well either. She didn't want to seem vulnerable now, "Kala and Mufasa are my parents, and Uschi is a family friend." She wanted it to sound like they were all together rather than strangers.

The lioness Smiled at the cub, "My name is Shalnei, but I prefer Shally." she looked the Uschi and tilted her head, "As to you, I am lost to my family and Live in the pridelands as a Scout, searching for my family. And protecting the pridelands." she said simply.

Mufasa finally stepped forward, just behind Akira, with his wife next to him.
"Hello, Shally. It's nice to meeet you. Again, I'm Mufasa, this is my wife Kala, and our daughter, Akira."
Better to let them think she's our daughter than explain the truth and have to go through all that again, he thought. Kala stepped up next to Akira and said,
"Welcome. We're very pleased to meet you. It's always nice to have more company."
In her head she was thinking,
How many more are going to join us? And what the heck happened to Nuri and Wingu?She stood silently, waiting for the lioness to make the next move. As she did, she thought she noticed Amani and another young cub nearby. She turned and whispered to Mufasa,
"Look who's back."
Mufasa looked over and smiled and said, in a joking but happy tone,
"He must've gotten lost again."
Then Kala turned towards Uschi and asked curiously,
"What did you mean by 'him'?"

(OOC: I do think we have a few too many characters. I mean, we have Kala, Mufasa, Akira, Nuri, Wingu, (Unless maybe they dropped out or something.) Amani, Nina, Ushchi, and now Shally. Hope I didn't miss anybody. I think we have a few too many. I'm starting to have trouble keeping them all straight. Anyone agree or am I the only one?)

(Agreed. Nina might be occasional. I don't think I'll have her around all the time, just sometimes accompanying Amani,)

Amani and Nina were not far off from the bunch. From where Amani was, he thought he recognized some of their voices.
"Kala? Mufasa?" Amani asked, approaching them, almost glad to see Akari and them again.
"Kala. Mufasa. Does he know them?" Nina thought, standing beside Amani. She stayed close, waiting to see what happens next,

(OOC: I'm not bothered by lots of characters but I suppose we can always ask TL to close this RP so we can control numbers or invite more ppl in as we please. I wanted to introduce an occasional one (the one Uschi refers to as "him") as a bad guy to increase tension, but I might leave it for a while if ppl are starting to think this is too crowded. Happy to play along:).

"Your family, from where does it hail?" Kunona asked the newcomer, wondering if it was from her own pride.
When kala asked her who 'him' was, Kunona felt her face clearly show the fear that she'd felt before. She cleared her expression quickly. "Uhh... Heh... Nnothing. I'm afraid I say odd things on occasion. Mother always berated me for it."

(I'm not having too much trouble. But maybe it should be closed so there can be a limit of characters and we can have a List. I'm not sure where wingu is, but Nuri will dissapear if he left. Even though I love roleplaying her :/ )

Shally shrugged, " From where I originally came was the Plainslands, one of the smaller Pride-land areas to the north. But the Pridelanders no so little about us we barely talk of it. I was obstructed from returning to my pride and have settle in with a small pride east of here." She looked at Konuna curiously, "Why do you ask?"

(OOC: just so you know,Azy, Kunona hasn't released her real name yet. She's told everyone she's called Uschi;).

"Oh... Just thought we may have hailed from the same pride," Kunona replied to Shally.

((OOC: I can't say that it's getting 'terrible' with the amount of characters but maybe a plot should be thought of now that we have so many? Just an idea))

Akira was overwhelmed with the company that had surrounded her. Her heart began to race with the excitement of everyone meeting at once; there were new and old lions. She had listened to all the voices around her, but her stomach was getting loud and she began to think of home again.

Akira had spoken loudly to everyone, "Well this has been fun!" She had wandered off deep into the tall grass beyond searching for something small she could hunt for and eat.

(Okay, same with Nuri, only Wingu knows so far. And that would be good.)

Shally smiled, "Not with the way you talk Uschi." She laughed and looked around the pride, "You seem to be all odds and bobs, where do you all come from?"

[Lionel]

((Sorry people, don't have much time lately))
Wing nodded and got ready to pounce.
"Let's see if you are so fast as every lone says."
Wingu said and then charged at the lionness. He didn't use his claws or anything, becase he wasn't going to hurt anyone. Well, anytime soon.

Almost before the statement was finished, Nuri had launched herself. Away form wingu and then weaved back near him, Tripping him with his tail, "Of course." She taunted Lightly, skittering away from him.

[Lionel]

Wingu didn't even notice , and he was already on the ground. Without waiting he launched himself at Nuri. This time using his tail to steer a little.

(OOC: Yeah, I think it should be closed. I didn't think this RP would get this long. Makes me very happy!)

Kala started to follow Akira, but Mufasa said,
"Kala, don't, you have to let her learn on her own. She'll be back. Akira, don't go too far, honey," he called out. Kala replied,
"You're right. I guess I do have to. But she'll always be our little girl, right?"
"Right. Hey, Amani! Who's your friend? Did you get lost again?"
He looked down at the two cubs. Kala looked, too and smiled at the little female.
"Hi, are you a friend of Amani's?"

[Amani]

"Hi! This is Nina." Amani said, introducing them. "Nina, this is Kala and Mufasa"
"Hi, nice to meet you two." Nina replied, relaxing. She looked at Kala, "Yes I am."
"I might be, a little." Amani said to Mufasa, thinking, "I've got to stop doing that."
Amani was starting to think he might be too curious. Amani sat down for now, relieved.
For Nina, all seemed safe. She went to the waterhole edge and got a drink.

Akira's stomach rumbled with a loud growl and the distance between her and the group began to grow. She had heard Kala and Mufasa's voices deep in her mind informing her not to venture far.

She heard something stirring in a bush nearby.. What could it be? Lion, rabbit, mouse, elk, anything and everything? The leaves began to brush against each other even quicker when suddenly out popped a rabbit! It's nose was twitching as it smelled the air. Quickly Akira dropped to the ground noticing how it smelled the air.. It was probably smelling her. She hoped it would escape this time. She watched it closely and carefully; she began to progress towards it slowly and carefully, stalking it like it was her last meal. The rabbit had stopped moving. It seemed as if it was staring straight at her, but was it? It began to hop away with speed and Akira pounced! She caught it's back leg but it shook free; She began to panic and threw her paw out to snatch it up. She barely grazed it's tail as it began to hop faster. She began to run towards it but this time she took a deep breath and remained calm in her mind... It was all or nothing. She pounced one last time, but this time she caught it! All her body weight was forced upon the poor creature. She pried her mouth open around the rabbits neck and snapped it. Akira was a success!

She had began to feast on it's warm flesh and filling her belly.

Nuri ducked quickly but Wingu's paws hit her back as she dropped, annoyed at herself she twisted around to face Wingu and zigzagged at him, low to the ground but moving very fast.

[Lionel]

Wingu folowed Nuri's movements with his eyes. He calculated the best strike and right when Nuri was the closest, he attacked with his paw, putting in all of his strenght.

Kala went over to Nina.
"It's nice to meet you, Nina. Have you known Amani long?"
Mufasa looked over at Amani and, as if he could read his mind, asked,
"Does your mother know where you are? I bet not. It's ok to be curious, just not too curious."

[Amani]

Nina sat by Kala.
"For a while. We're best friends."
Amani looked up at Mufasa.
"Well no, she doesn't....I try not to be. There's so much to see."

[akira]

After Akira's fulfilling meal she had felt satisfied with her catch, her stomach was just as satisfied. She had began to make her way back to Kala, Mufasa and the group of lions.

She had walked through the grass and slipped back in the somewhat secluded area where the waterhole and group had been. She walked over to the waterhole and began to gulp down some water. She walked over to Kala and sat by her side then smiled, "I had a wonderful tasting rabbit. It took me a few... Tries to catch it though," Akira had laughed quietly to herself.
