It was evening, when Wingu waked up. He streched, and felt thirst. He walked outside and looked around. "Can we go now? I"m not tired."

Nuri grinned, "Okay. Thirsty at all?" She inquired as she headed back to the place they practised earlier. "Argal said he'd come here after he'd calmed down is group." She added.

"Oh. Is it safe for me to go drink? Or better with you?" The lion said, streching a little bit more.

Mufasa looked at Kora and answered, "He just wandered a little too far and happened to meet up with us and I offered to take him home. He's just being a cub."
Kala stood silent, waiting for Akira's answer. She remembered teaching her own daughter to pounce and how wonderful that was, teaching someone else something. And the way her face lit up the first time she did it sucessfully. She sighed deeply. How she missed that.

Kora said, relieved, "Thanks for your help." She proceeded to take Amani into the den where the other members of Pride Rock sleep.
"Goodnight Mufasa." Amani yawned. Amani hopped onto the rock and looked at the tip, happy to be home. He then went into the den with his mom. He was pretty tired from the adventures of the day, and would fall fast asleep.

((OOC: Well I don't know how they will really all meet up again but Akira's mother probably won't ever see her again until she's bigger. Probably at about age 2.))
Akira's ears at flicked up quickly as she heard Kala offer to teach her how to hunt; course she had to start with the basics like pouncing. It was never too early to learn how to hunt! In fact, she may have started later than she wanted to. "I would love to learn how to hunt Kala!" she squeakily roared with excitement. "Nothing sounds better than to learn new skills!"

"'Night, Amani. See you around," Mufasa replied. He turned and headed back to his wife and Akira.
Kala was excited, too. "Great! Let me go see if I can find something for you to pounce on. Stay here, I'll be right back." Within a few minutes, she was back with a small mouse dangling from her mouth. She used her paws to make a large circle of dirt, so it couldn't escape. "Ok, now the first thing you have to do is stay low to the ground, so that way there's less chance of the prey seeing you. Can you do that?" She added with a shiver, "I hope Mufasa gets back soon. I don't like being out in the open like this at night."

Akira, with a smile, replied, "Yeah! I can do that!" She stared intently at the field mouse as it struggled to escape. She got low to the ground, almost like she was going to hug it, her ears were pinned back and her tail was low to the ground. She continued to stare at the mouse while waiting for more instructions. Her breathing was shallow and she made no movement. 'This is going to be so much fun!' she thought to herself.

In the cave of Pride Rock where the lions sleep, Amani layed down on the side of his mother and curled against her all snug and warm. He drifted more and more into sleep, his dreams taking wing. He dreamed of Mufasa, Kara, and Akira, new friends he could soon warm up to. As he recaptured their encounter, his dream turned into a nightmare of him being forever lost in the Outldand. He woke up suddenly, breathing heavily. He tried to forget about it. He was safe from the danger of the Outlands. He moved to the side of his mother opposite the entrance, and lay against her again, drifting back to sleep.

Wingu went to the water hole. Noone was bothering him, so the lion peacefuly drank as much as he wanted. Then he returned to Nuri. -Who does he think he is?- A voice said behind Wingu. That was Komu. He folowed Wingu untill Nuri could see them both. Wingu heard what Komu said, so, when the lion wasn't waiting Wingu hit Komu. -I'm with Naief.- And then he walked back to the lioness.

Kala replied, "Great! Now move as close as you can get and then when you're ready, just pounce on it. And it's ok if you don't get it the first time. No lion's perfect." She watched Akira intently. Her ears perked up at the sound of another lion and she growled until she heard, "Kala, it's all right, babe, it's just me." Mufasa had returned and she ran forward. He said loudly, "What's Akira doing?" She silenced him with a sharp look and a "Shh! She's practicing pouncing. Come watch." The two lions watched thier new charge practicing.
(OOC: I could just finish the lesson and then have them head toward the outlands and maybe they'll meet up on the way or something.)

When asked "What's wrong, dear?" by his mother Amani answered a simple, "Nothing, just a nightmare." She comforted him, and continued to sleep. Amani went outside on the rock for a little fresh air. He looked up at the star-dotted sky, the moon was near full and beautiful. He went back into the cave and back to his spot, dozing back to sleep.
(Amani is kinda curious about the Outlands still, so he might try to wander off again the next day, meeting up with them.)

((OOC: Well either they can venture the outlands or not. Either way, they are bound to meet up again in their lifetime. Haha. I'm in no hurry ^_^ It's not the end of the world if they don't meet up within the week.))
Akira had noticed Mufasa out of the corner of her eyesight, but still she stayed focused on the squeamish mouse. She slowly crawled closer to the poor rodent, stalking it as quietly as she could. Although she was trying her hardest to be silent, her paws had grazed a pebble with enough force to make it roll towards the circle Kala had drawn for her. Noticing her mistake she hadn't known what to do! She staggered to her feet and pounced! Unfortunately she had missed the mouse by a sliver. 'Dang! I was too loud! It knew I was coming... Stupid mouse,' she had thought to herself. Thankfully the mouse still ran around in her sight.
Akira had gotten down into position again, but this time she did not make nearly as much noise, but still, she had made too much. She just couldn't grasp the concept fully but she knew her skill was gracefully exceeding her prior limits. She had tried four times when suddenly the fifth time around she had pounced hard! This time she was so quiet she felt invincible. 'Haha! I got you now!' As she slowly lifted the edge of her paw she had noticed she finally caught it. Practice had paid off, but she is still so young; she will need more practice over time. Eventually, as she grew she would attempt to hunt bigger game but for now she would just have to settle for field mice, or maybe in the near future, small birds.
She had picked up the mouse by it's tail, holding it in her mouth. She had caught it, now it was time to kill it... She had never killed anything before. She tossed it into the air then caught it in her mouth; as it squirmed on her tongue she crunched down on it with her teeth, snapping its neck and it's spine. The sound had almost been a grinding noise and then a loud snap, almost like a twig under the weight of something bigger than it. She had set it down on the ground and licked her nose.
A smile had aroused upon her face as she looked back at Kala and Mufasa, "I did it! It took a while, but I did it!" She looked back down at the mouse and contemplated her kill. Akira giggled quietly, "I guess you'll have to teach me how to make a clean kill when I get this hunting thing down.." She laughed some more then sat and enjoyed her very first kill.

After Akira's first attempt, Kala called, "That was good, but keep trying!" When she finally caught it and after she'd killed it, Kala walked over and exclaimed, "Honey, that was great!" Mufasa followed behind and said, "Yeah, that was pretty impressive. Give me five!," and he held his paw up, waiting for her to slap it.
(OOC: I don't know if lions can do that, I guess they can.)

Akira smiled and had begun to feel like she was apart of something.. Her heart was warm, "Thanks!" She smiled at Kala and Mufasa both then looked back at Mufasa; she held up her paw and lightly smacked his paw. His was so much larger than hers!

Kunona had never felt more bone tired in her life. She had been on the move for nearly six days, ever since she spied some of the king's men from atop the ridge. They were looking for her, she knew, for the king would never forgive her for the crime she committed. But all this walking was exhausting. Before today, she had never walked so much in her life! Not that you could really call it walking, she mused, and grimaced as she shuffled forwards. Kunona had always been chubby as a cub, but calling her chubby now was like calling lightning quick. As a young adolescent, Kunona was huge. Her belly hung so low that even on the flattest ground, sticks and stones would worry her stomach. She had chubby arms like a cub, with little rings of fat around her wrists, and her neck was so thick she could barely turn her head. Because of here huge size she took tiny little steps as she waddled along, and it was all she could do to put one foot in front of the other. She hardly even saw where she was going, but just panted as she went, tired, hungry, thirsty and sore, all of these things distracting herself from her surroundings until she placed her foot in a little circle of earth. "Odd," she said, stopping. What was that doing here? Then she looked up. Around her was a cub, a female and a male. She'd been so tired she nearly stumbled into them.
Gulping with fear, she collapsed onto her huge stomach out of exhaustion, but nevertheless closed her mouth and sat up straight, as she had been taught her entire life. "Greetings good lionesses," she said, trying not to huff, "My name is... erm... Uschi." Yes. That name would do for the moment. She tried to smile at them to show that she was friendly. "Would... would you be so kind as to tell me where I am?"

Kala was happy that it looked like she and Akira were finally bonding. She looked pretty startled as another new lion plopped down in front of them. She looked to Mufasa, who said, "Hello, um, Uschi. I'm Mufasa, this is my wife Kala, and our friend, Akira. You look kind of exhausted, are you ok?" He wondered what this strange lioness wanted.

"Mufasa, Kala, Akira," she said, nodding to each of them in turn. "Umm... It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance." Then she looked around a little fearfully. "Tell me, what is this place? I mean...What realm is this? I'm so sorry," she said, closing her eyes and shaking her head, making the fat on her body wobble like jelly beneath her long and luxurious brown fur. "In my exhaustion I'm forgetting my manners. Please forgive a weary lioness."

Akira looked at the lioness awkwardly and raised an eyebrow as she felt a small choking cough scratch at her throat. She stared at the ground making circular motions with her eyes not knowing what to do, or who to look at. She didn't want to stare, but this... Stranger came off as odd to Akira.
"Umm. Hello.. Uschi." She glanced into her eyes then quickly turned her attention to Kala and Mufasa. She turned and stumbled behind them; Mufasa and Kala had made her feel safe, warm, and welcome. They have done nothing but show their kindness to Akira. Nuri nor Wingu hadn't really done the same, but strangely she had a feeling lurking in her heart. Did she miss Nuri? Yes. That's what that feeling was, but why? Has Nuri's hatred grown on Akira? No matter how rude Nuri was to her, she just couldn't seem to shake the fact that no matter how cruel she was, Nuri has gained a place in her heart. But above all there was Mufasa and Kala. Her mind began to race with thoughts, 'They may be my new family from this day forth. If I never see my mother again, maybe Kala will take her place? If I shall never see my father again, will Mufasa take his place?'
She looked at Kala and Mufasa once more and waited to see what kind of welcome they would give this... Uschi.

Mufasa said in surprise, "This is the pridelands. I'm suprised you didn't know that." If she wasn't so fat, she'd be fairly attractive, he thought. He turned to Kala and said, "Hon, would you run and go pick up a small antelope or something? Ushi here looks like she's pretty hungry." Kala nodded, "Sure," and took off. Mufasa asked Ushi, interestedly, "So, what's your story?"

The dawn was breaking by the time Amani woke up. He stretched and let out a little yawn. Walking out of the cave he climbed Pride Rock's "ramp". He could see a lot from there. Curiosity filled him as anxiously ran down. Suddenly, before he could climb down Pride Rock completely, he heard someone ask "And where are you going?" Amani was startled. Looking up he noticed Nina.
Nina was a tauny-furred lionness cub with green eyes. She was a bit shorter than Amani. They were somewhat close friends, maybe even like siblings. She giggled as Amani jumped. "Gotch'ya!", she exclaimed.

Kunona's stomach nearly did a summersault of joy. They were going to hunt for her? Truly? "Mufasa, you are truly a gentlelion. How did you know I was hungry?" she said, bowing her head. "I haven't eaten anything but fish for nigh on two weeks. Some red meat would be... Most welcome." But the news that they were in the pridelands of the plains was most astounding. Had she really come so far in so little time? She could scarcely believe it... Nevertheless she could not stay here. When Mufasa asked for her history, she paused. "My story... I'm on the run from... i mean... I hail from the mountain tribes, where I am no longer welcome," she said. "It was a matter of love and promise... But I dare not say more than that." She smiled. "So... May I ask the same of you? Are you a local of these parts? Your name sounds quite familiar, too. And what about your mate, and your daughter here?" She looked down at the little cub and smiled at her, before settling down on her enormous belly. "You have very pretty eyes, Akira. I do believe you will grow up to be very beautiful."

(OOC- sorry was on a Camp.)
Komu seemed to chuckle and his whole body shuddered at the Impact to his muzzle, "Of course then. Everyone is fine with Naief." He taunted and wandered off into the Shadows.
Nuri chuckled her amusement in return, "You needen't mind Komu. He cannot fight, and he only has his power because he has a clevermind. He helped us through the time after Zira before the monsoons Cam and watered the land for the first time in years." She explained quickly and stood out in a large fighting area, with a few trees and rocks scattered throughout it.
She gazed at Wingu in a challenge, "He is an exile Plainslander, they live to the east of the outlands." She added before growling, "Okay! Fight me Wingu."

Mufasa answered, "Yes, my wife and I have lived in the pridelands all our lives. So has Akira." Kala came bounding back and laid the antelope before Ushi. "Here you go. Enjoy." She walked over to Akira and asked, in a low tone, "What do you think about her? She looks like she might have been attractive at one point. Not to change the subject, but when's the last time you had a bath, young lady?," she asked, taking that slight, motherly tone in her voice.

Amani giggling, said, "Nice one. Hi Nina." "Hey. So where were you going, for real, and what happened yesterday?," Nina asked Amani, ending in a slight concerned tone. "I got lost. These group of lions and their cub found me and one offered to take me back," he said, thinking of Kala, Mufasa, and Akira as he said it. "Lost? You must have gone pretty far for that to happen." Nina almost giggled. "That was nice of them." Amani continued, "and I was going out again, not this far though," "I hope not. I'm a little thirsty. Race ya' to the waterhole!" Nina took off running. "Hey!" Amani exclaimed as he ran after her.

Not that Akira minded, but she wondered why Kala and Mufasa were treating her like she was there actual daughter. Was this lioness potentially dangerous? She spoke quietly to Kala, "She's uh... A sight. And I uh.. Haven't had a bath in... Weeks??" She giggled quietly.

Kunona could barely resist. She only just managed a "Thank you," before she bit down on the antellope's belly. She'd always been a polite eater, but barely maintained her dignity as she ate and listened to Kala talk to their daughter about bathing... As well as how Kunona used to be beautiful. That hurt her a little. She still wasn't quite an adult after all despite the fact that Mother had trained her to behave as such. To be reared to as "used to be beautiful" at such a young age broke a little bit of her heart. She also noticed that Mufasa had refused to answer her questions about himself though. Perhaps he was hiding something too, she thought, and resolved to ask him later. Or maybe Kala would be more open. Meanwhile, she would simply enjoy the food they brought her.

(OOC: Uh, Krissi, yes, he did. When she asked if he was a local, he said, yeah, they've lived there all thier lives. Or are you referring to something else? I'm confused.)
Kala said, "Weeks, huh? Well, as long as we're here, we might as well do something about that. Sit down," she said, taking a slightly stern edge to her voice, while still holding onto that ever-present smile. She got that glazed look as she remembered the past. Mufasa noticed and said, "Sweetie, can you drag your head back to the present, please?" She shook her head and looked at him. "Sorry, Mufasa. I was just. . .thinking about something."

She had looked at Mufasa with a bit of confusion, but then she looked at Kala with sorrow. Was Kala feeling pain from the loss of her own cub? Yes, that was more than likely it. Akira didn't like to see other people sad. She looked at Uschi and felt bad about discussing the lioness's weight. It wasn't her place to make other's feel bad.
"I'm sorry Uschi, that wasn't a very nice thing of me to say. My biggest apologies."
