Basic, basic, basic profile just because I need one. I always prefer to create their stories through actual RPs xP

Name: Sumai
Nickname: None really. "Sir" perhaps?
Species: Some sort of big cat. What type exactly is difficult to say... He will none the less be described as a lion, for simplicity.
Age: Older adult
Gender: Male
Appearance: Fiery red fur with lighter-toned markings. He doesn't have a full mane, but the hair he has is long and jet-black, except for the "fringe" right above his forehead. He also has long hair growing on the back of each leg and his tail, all black. His ears are pointed and his eyes are emerald green. Sumai is also very large - bigger than most lion males.
And he may be aging, but he is still very powerful and radiates dignity.

Personality: Sumai gives respect, but also expects to get the same in return. He's an old, experienced soldier who is very skilled in his profession. And he knows it. If disrespect is given him, he will ignore the offender until they come to their senses.
Having been a soldier all his life, Sumai's exterior is rigid and formal, even outside the battlefield. His approach may often seem cold, but he means well. It is simply the only way of communication he knows. He rarely shows emotion, as that was considered a weakness in his pride and many years of war and disaster has "taught" him to keep his feelings to himself, and only himself.
Sumai is terribly loyal to his superiors, and would never ever in his wildest dreams go against their orders, even if it means doing the exact opposite of what his senses tell him.
He does not care about the gender, species or age of his warriors. As long as they perform their given tasks and prove that they will stay true and loyal to him, Sumai will let just about anyone join his ranks. But if someone betrays his trust, they will be severely punished...
History: Born into a pride with a long history of war, there really was only one thing Sumai was ever supposed to be. He started training to become a soldier early. But even if it may sound like it, Sumai is no vicious brute. He fights only if he considers it justified and always makes sure to be friendly towards his comrades. He had a wise, caring father who always looked after him and taught him many important lessons of life. But after his father's death, Sumai was on his own, as a terribly insecure adolescent. But as he grew he slowly gained confidence. As he proved very useful on the battlefield, he quickly climbed the ranks and soon became a very respected officer.
