Newcomers: The Great Battle has been going for quite some time and has a quite complex storyline to it. Since your characters would most likely belong to one of the prides it's important that you know what's happened previously in the RolePlay. Please read carefully C:
It's a bit of a mouthfull, but as I said, a lot has happened over the course of the RolePlay and it was difficult to get this summary any shorter without leaving out important details. Sorry :P

The Great Battle: Key elements
- Two prides are battling each other over land and resources: Feraga and Burja. In times when food and water is scarce, it is very difficult for the two prides to co-exist and in the past there has been much conflict between them. They both want the other to be either destroyed or, at the very least, to leave the lands.
- The two prides basically hate each other and talks of peace are still out of the question.
- A member of Burja, Sitama, led an attack on Feraga's den grounds that started the current war and Feraga were driven from their den. Sitama was later killed by Xena - a fierce black lioness and Feraga's previous leader.
- Feraga later reclaimed their den. In the battle that followed, Xena was killed.
- Feraga's current leader is Sumai: an old, strict war general. He used to be seond in command to Xena and is still extremely loyal to her.
- Burja's previous leader Ina resigned some time after the second battle and left the pride, never to be seen again.
- Burja's current leader is Kirsui: previously a wanderer who hasn't stayed with the pride for very long. Despite this Ina, who was a very well-loved leader, handed over leadership to Kirsui. She had great faith in her.
- Feraga is plotting their revenge once more and are planning to attack very soon.

Most recently (updated 29th Apr. 2010):
- At the time of writing, the time is morning.
- A minor border skirmish between (mainly) Pulsar, Oreo and Onto (others at the scene were Asuka, Inlasta, Timbre, Arjuna and Lorien) has just been finished. They are now returning to their respective homes. There were no casualties, but Oreo was wounded in her wing and tail.
- Mwezi (Kirsui's character) has returned from spying at the Burja pride. On her mission she was discovered and pursued, which lead to the minor battle at the border. While spying, she found out that Kirsui and not Ina is Burja's new leader and she has told Sumai (KanuTGL's character) this important information.
- Reicheru (Zorayda's character) has just escaped the Feraga den, where she was held captive while the Feraga pride were deciding whether to accept her into the pride or not (when they found her she had lost her memory). The final part of her escape was to send out a paralyzing high-pitched screech via telepathy to everyone in the area, so that no one would be able to pursue her.
- Timbre (Zulu's character) crashed into the Feraga den. He is at the moment unconscious and caged up.
- Sumai has now revealed his plan to the pride - to strike Burja in the dark of night and capture a hostage, which they are planning to use to force Burja to surrender.

However, as is noted there, it's a pretty old thread, so what is written that concerns the story may or may not be accurate any more.
