Chaza rolled his shoulders in a shrugging gesture. He had no reason to mistrust the strangers, really, since they hadn't aided Feraga's efforts against him, but one could never be too careful. "I...I suppose so." After all, he was more than a match for the two of them, if he had his guess right. Of course, being too close to a hyena was not a good thing. They weren't the most likely candidates to aid him in his plans, but one never knew. He could ask, at the very least. "You can come in," he conceded, "but I've got my eye on you. I might look a bit worse for the wear," -- because he was -- "but neither of you would make it out alive. One wrong move, and I'll tear you limb from limb. Other than that...." He smiled faintly, stepping aside to allow them entrance. "Make yourselves at home." --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sitama gasped as the large black lioness appeared out of thin air. Invisible...so that was it! No wonder she'd missed her leap. Argh! A new attacker had rammed her in a moment of distraction, knocking her to the ground, and another was behind her. A nasty swipe across her muzzle brought the rage on again, and Sitama dealt with the pair as she had the others. But the battle was still hanging in the balance, and she couldn't say which way it would swing. She knew what her job was, though -- to kill. Roaring, she lunged for a red male, who blasted her warriors with fireballs that seemed to be formed by his own power. (OOC: We need to decide where the battle is going, and who wins, otherwise we'll be killing random bots forever.) (OOC 2: That would be Sumai that I just jumped, for your information.)

((OOC: Lets discuss about the end of the battle in "Just wondering" thread... )) Stardust smiled faintly at the male lion. "Thank you..." he said, looking at Kirsui from his eyecorner. The lioness seemed to be troubled by something. "You ok, Kir?" Stardust asked. But the only reply he got was a slight nod. Stardust shrugged, seeing then that the lion made way for him and Kirsui to enter the cave. The hyena made sure he held his head a bit lowered, showing respect towards this stranger. The lioness followed him and they setteled down to one corner of the cave. Kirsui kept glancing at the other lion from time to time. She didn't even hear the faint question from Stardust when he asked if she wanted some water. The hyena shrugged at her, digging a small hole to the ground and placing his paw to it. He closed his eyes and soon water came to the hole. While Stardust was taking a drink, Kirsui finally got the courage to speak to the other lion. "Are you... I mean..." she started, trying to gather herself. "Are you hurt badly?"

Ina had just been sitting there the whole time. She didn't want to fight. Why were they fighting anyway? She turned around and headed away from the fight. She needed to speak to someone..
After a while she reached a cave. She saw the two wandered from before, and "Chaza! There you are!" She said and walked towards him. "Oh, and I mean no harm.." She added on quickly before he took a shot at her. "Could we talk?" She asked politley before turning to the lioness and hyena. She gave a sweet smile before turning her glance back to Chaza.

"ARRRGHH"
The black lioness roared out as a tremendous amount of what seemed to be, razors sunk deep into her back. Xena had just removed her jaws from the females neck when this happened, she got pushed to the floor, as she tried to claw away, twisting thought the almost blackout pain to see another Female with her teeth sunk deep into her back, she shoved her front paw back catching her right on the chin, instead of loosing her grip and pulling back, the Lioness clamped tighter and withdrew pulling fur and a certain amount of skin From Xenas back with it. Xena collapsed onto the Lioness she had just dealt with below her's body, sprawled as she could focus on nothing but the seering hot pain that developed from her back. She got disturbed by a rock in front of her swiftly moving upwards, she peered up to see this rock now hanging in mid-air above her. She widened her eyes in horror as she quickly forced herself to move before it came crashing down right where her head had been. Now staggering onto her feet she snarled seeing the same lioness who had bitten her seemed to possess certain telekinetic powers...She faced her head on...but as she did so, she had a few seconds to gaze around, Lionesses and lions fiercely battling with each other, screams and crys of help and pain across the field..the ground sodden with dark mud, now mixed with a faint red color from the fallen... Another thing she noticed....Hr Pride was diminishing...she could only see a few of her sides Lions and they were becoming to be ganged up on....it was then she knew they had to re-group....they were to scattered..there was no tactics....they had to retreat She ignored her foe in front of her and turned to run back towards the main fighting, she would sound the retreat there if things did not improve....

Chaza finally took his eyes off The pair now in the cave with him to see the figure of Ina...he was not sure what to say, as the last time he left her...it was not in the best of circumstances.
"ahh..Hiya Ina...Sure, we can talk....take a seat"
His mind whirring as to what it might be that She wanted to speak of.....his ears dipped slightly in shame.

Ina smiled. "Thankyou Chaza." She said as she sat down. "Sorry about our little encounter before.. you know when you were with Lorien." As she said this her ears flattened a bit. "I understand now that your are NOT a member of their pride, like we accused you of being, I am sorry we did this.." Ina apoligized . ".. It's just that sometimes.. Sitama can be a bit pushy and pursuasive. And i listened to her... for once." She blabbed on for a little bit before stopping. "Anyway... Sitama wanted to start this 'war'.. so that's what she is doing. I don't know why.. i don't even want to fight.." She started to blab again. "But.. yea.. i just wanted to apoligize for my behaviour towards you. I can see what Lorien see's in you now.. " She said with a smile, hoping that he wouldn't start yelling at her for some unknown reason.

Kirsui didn't get answer to her question when this lioness came in to the cave. She remembered seeing this lioness around with the other pride who had attacked Feraga.
Kir flattened her ears a bit, turning her blue eyes away fromthe other two lions. She placed her head on her paws, letting out a sigh. Stardust looked at her from his eyecorner before turning his attention back to the two lions. It was interesting to listen the talk going on between the two.

Xena ducked and wound her way through groups of fighters.....spotting Sumai and shoving him out of the way.
"MOVE, I want everyone back!, EVERYONE!"
Forcing him to stop fighting and pull back. Around her, Lioness got the message and turned to flee, to aid her fellow pride she growled loudly and knocked an attacking Lioness down on her side, who had given chase to some of the Feraga. Now shouting out across.
"All Feraga back!!! ZALIRA! get them back!"
Spotting her not a far distance away.

Chaza shook his head...alot was whirring around...and his wounds were at the point of stinging quite bad...certainly noticing the wounds on his back...a small trickled down letting him know that they were still bleeding, but it was o little annoyance to him. He listened to Ina and couldnt help but give a faint smile as he gazed out the cave entrance...
"Its alright...i.." he paused before speaking again "...i to am sorry for how i acted...i certainly meant no distress to anyone...but i had both sides to see, i dont see the point myself in picking sides in a turf war...better to sit...." Looking over at Ina "and take whats left after there done killing each other"
A smirk, glistening across his muzzle as he looked back in the cave at the pair already inside. He had always Liked Ina, and even though Lorien was of particular fancy to him, the pair shared the same qualities, but he would hold that to himself now...Speaking to the pair in the back of the cave..noticing one had dug a hole
"I'm Fine...what are you doing back there anyway"

Sumai was grateful for Fire's support, as not many others had understood the meaning of his call... They fought side by side for a while before another roar from Xena caught the fiery lion's attention. She wanted them back? To retreat? Sumai frowned slightly and glanced around him, yes, he knew they were at disadvantage; even if they and the Burjas had about equal numbers, the attackers had still been the attackers, and Feraga hadn't been prepared enough... "That black guy... If I see him again on my grounds..." If not Chaza had appeared, the outcome of the battle may have been different...
However, there would be times to think about that. Now was not the hour. "Retreat!" the red lion cried, bitterly, but he tried to hide it "I want everyone back!" Sumai reared on his hindlegs for a brief second and landed with a rather powerful blow with his front paws back on the ground, sending out one of those shockwaves of fire that burst from what seemed to be the dirt itself, to give him and Fire a short breather. Feraga warriors were used to him using this move and avoided it almost by pure reflex, but enemies had more trouble with it and many got their paws burned. "Fire, get back to Xena and bring every one of us you see with you. Go! I'll come after you!" The lion sent out another wave of fire and then whipped around to leave, making sure all Feraga-members were following the example of their leader.
Sumai escaped the battle-field as the final defender and took a moment to glance over his shoulder as he ran after the others, seeing how Burja began to cheer and celebrate. It'd be a night of victory for them... For Feraga... The General turned his head back forwards again. ...this would be a night of licking their wounds and planning revenge... They would return.
And on that day they wouldn't lose.

Kirsui lifted her head when she heard the male lion speak to her and Stardust. She looked over at the hyena, who just shrugged. "Giving my friend a possibility for a drink" the hyena replied shortly. He let the hold of his power go and watched as the water in the hole slowly started to go back inside the ground.
When all the water had dissappeared, Stardust rose up to his feet and streched himself a little, walking then to Ina and Chaza. Kir staid right where she was, her blue eyes focused on the two lions to notice every act they might to against the hyena. Stardust stopped near the two lions, glancing at the wounds Chaza had. "You sure you're ok?" he asked. "I don't mean to be nosy or anything, but I might be able to help a little..."
The hyena stopped speaking, flattening his ears and waiting for the reply. He knew he couldn't be hurt badly if the lions chose to attack him. After all, Kir was observing the situation all the time, ready to defend Stardust if needed.

Ina smiled. "Well I'm glad that's sorted then.." She smiled. She then turned to the hyena. "Oh... i suppose we haven't properly met." She bowed her head in greeting. "Ina's the name.." She smiled sweetly at the hyena. She then turned her attention to the lioness. "Would you like some water?" She asked as she made a bowl of water float infront of the golden lioness.

Fire looked over to the direction that the cry of retreat came from. "What the? A retreat?! But... What about the fact that we have pushed onwards?..." Fire was angry now that Xena had summoned a retreat. The fact that he was forced to fight and then losing just infuriated his mind.
He then heard Sumai call to him and call an order. "Sumai! What abou..." He was the too late as he saw him go out into the battlefield. Now he would carry out the plan since he trusted that Sumai knew what he was doing. Seeing a group of lionesses in the pride that looked like they were surrounded, Fire growled as a circling of fire encased around the group and scared off the surrounding flank. When they got far enough away, Fire closed off the fire and yelled to them "Follow me!" He saw them rush over to him as he headed up to where the cave was, gathering troops along the way and assisting them into the cave while protecting them from enemy powers.

Zalira listened to Xena's words. She let out a sigh. "Well.. i guess this is goodbye.. for now at least." She nodded her head. "Shall we meet again Lorien." She said simply, adding a weak smile on at the end. A gust of wind then picked her up and carried her away from Lorien and over to Xena. A couple of other lioness also follwed her.

Xena came back to walking pace..her breath was heavy..and so was her head, she hung it low..a constant snarl on her lips...she got over her own grief long enough to look behind..seeing Her pride follow up..some badly wounded..but at least she had her general..and of course Fire and Zalira...the two prides were now spitted...the fighting had stopped....she stopped and turned around...her breathing still very eradic as she gazed over the battlefield. She saw so many fallen..a dark mist had began to hover over the grounds as the night set in properly..and with that....the first patters of rain began. It came lightly at first...but soon began to pour, begginging to soak one and all. Xena herself was bloodied..muddy...and now wet and she couldent help but see the form of Sitama, stood in the middle....she had her win. But this was far from the end of the Feraga pride.

"I'm fine Hyena....drink your drink.."
Chaza said quite coldly, looking over his shoulder to see Ina helping him...he watched Ina silently, looking her up and down before sighing and looking back out the cave entrance, standing up and stepping outside. Just as rain began to spit...he craned his neck up, eyes closed as it began to fall a bit harder the cold water so refreshing on his face.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sitama Let off a tremendous Roar when she finnaly lost any chance to fight any more...seeing the dogs of Feraga now running, they had their victory!!

Kirsui turned her attention to Ina when she asked if Kir wanted some water. The creamy lioness shook her head. "No thanks..." she muttered, hearing then what Chaza said to Stardust. She flattened her ears, clearly unhappy of the tone Chaza used.
Stardust smiled faintly at the reply he got from Chaza. He was used to hear that from lions. That was what always happened. He let out a sigh, turning his attention to Ina. "Stardust" he introduced himself with a smile. Atleast this Ina seemed nice.
The hyena walked to Kirsui, sitting down beside the lioness. "This one here is Kirsui" Stardust said. Kirsui smiled faintly at Ina, but she didn't say anything. Instead she just placed her head down on her paws, letting out a sigh as she stared at the floor.

Ina smiled at the Hyena then back at Kirsui. "Nice names..." She smiled. She then looked around. "So.. is this your cave.. or.. what?" She asked before looking outside. "Coz if it is, do you mind if i stay here until the rain stops?" Normally she liked walks in the rain, but right now she couldn't really be bothered.

Fire was tending to the wounded of the other lions and lionesses that were in the fight, sitting down and pulling out a stick that had wedged into a lioness's paw. "There... Feel better?" The lioness nodded with a small tear and surprisingly gave Fire a huge hug. This took Fire a little off-balance and just hugged her back, nodding and sending her off. "Where's Xena?" Fire said.

Chaza listened quietly to the trio making their introductions. Stupid pleasantries; he was not in the mood for this. If anything, it would be a better move to just leave, let them do what they wanted. But, no, he would remain, and let things play out as they would...and hopefully to his advantage. His future depended on it.
His attention was brought back to the present by Ina's words. Could she stay, she was asking. Oh, must you? he thought grimly, but outwardly, he put on a smile -- false -- and a warm tone -- faked -- to make her feel welcome in "his" cave. "Oh, of course you may. Be my guest." He swept his paw grandly, ushering her into the shelter of the cave. Dear Ina, who now sees that I'm not as horrible as she thought. Wanting to be his friend, just like Lorien. Poor, foolish girl -- she'd learn this lesson well, and the hard way. School was in session
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sitama surveyed the field of triumph with grim satisfaction; a weary smile flitted across her blood-stained muzzle. At least most of it was Feraga blood. She roared, bathing in the thrill of her victory and the blood lust that still coursed through her veins. Savage instinct said to follow the defeated foe, and tear their leader to shreds in her claws. She sneered, meeting Xena's eyes as she left. "I'll be seeing you," she whispered into the rain.
Turning, she saw her troops gathered, milling about. Time to fire them up again. "You see?" she shouted in a voice oud enough for all. "You see what we have done -- they're running with tails between their legs! We have won!" The pride roared in answer, but some looked weary instead of energized, as they should be. "Now, at last, our pride's future is safe!" That got a positive reaction from all. But there was one last piece of business.... "You see also that Ina has deserted you. And why, I ask? Because she's weak; afraid to fight the ones who would have destroyed you. If it were not for me, you'd be dead by now!" If that black male, Chaza, had any say in it. She longed to claw his eyes out.... "Forget Ina! Follow me, and Burja will be strong once more!"

Ina then turned to Chaza. "Nevermind, I should return to my pride, thankyou though." She nodded at him, and the other two. "Farewell." She said and trotted off in the direction where she had left her pride. She heard Sitama's last words. "Or maybe it was because she didn't approve of the war in the first place. Ever think of that?" She growled out to the pride. Sitama would be lucky if she wasn't kicked out of the pride..

Lorien nodded, not knowing what to say as Zalira left. She also watched the lioness who almost took her life give her a deathly glare as she trotted off behind the rest of her pride, blood still dripping from the blinded eye.
Lorien didn't know what to think as she looked around herself as her pridemates roared in victory. They had won? She didn't think that it would ever end, but end it did and they had come out on top. Ears perked, she swivled her head toward Sitama as she rallied the pride together once more. Lorien just wanted to sleep, to close her eyes and get the sight of the lifeless bodies that surrounded them out of her mind. Why HAD Ina left them, she wondered. Shaking her head, she figured that she had her own reasons. The pride members around her seemed a lot more skeptical as it were, and she could hear mutterings in favor of Sitama's preachings. Sitting, she looked to the lioness as well, trying to sort everything out in her own head.

Xena stopped, there Cave home was now in sight, but her warriors were wearily and low from their loss, she gave a big inhale before turning around and sitting, the ground was not so muddy here, but the rain still gave it a very unpleasant feeling. Xena met with the eyes of quite a few as she turned, she wanted to say something, but what was there to say...
"Today...we did not Loose.....what we made was a sacrifice....a sacrifice that i know deep down everyones knows needed to be done......some of you may question why..others already know, but i for one will no be driven from my home lands, by the land Hungry filth of Burja......we will meet the, again...and on that day...i promise you...we will have our so called victory"
With that she kept quiet, slowly cleaning her paw, her eyes transfixed to where they had come from, so many had not returned....scavengers would soon to be all over the field....she squinted her eyes at the thought of how she would look in the eyes of her pride...but knew that after thier sloppyness and being taken by surprise. That they had to re group, and try again...Burja had far from a victory indeed........they had War

As he saw Xena step into the cave, he sat down and stood tall for attention as she spoke, although his words made him want to argue with the so-called leader. Slowly stepping up with as calm of a tone as he possibly could without completely losing it in front of her. "Didn't lose?! Xena, have you counted the bodies that are out there? They almost wiped us out... If you hadn't led us out there in the first place, then none of this would have happened...." He said angrily at Xena, preparing to argue back any words that he said to her. There was almost nothing that she could do to argue... If she did, then she'd be one hell of a debater...

Kirsui watched from her eyecorner as Ina left the cave. 'That was odd...' she thought. 'Why did she ask to stay here in the first place if she was going to leave?'
The lioness sighed, catching Stardust's attention. "Try to sleep, Kir..." the hyena said with a little smile. But his smile faded as soon as it had appeared when he saw the expression on Kirsui's face. "You know very well that I can't sleep..." she replied. "Not with my..."
Kir shut her mouth, cursing herself of slipping that out. Stardust lifted an eyebrow. "You're seeing nightmares again?" he asked. Kir didn't reply. Instead she just flattened her ears and turned to face the other way. "Come on, tell me..." Stardust said, tilting his head. "Maybe I can help-" "You can't" Kirsui said before Stardust had finished. "Just... Let me be, Dusty..."
And with that the lioness stood up and walked outside of the cave, leaving the hyena lay where he was... Kirsui sat near the entrance, feeling how the rain poured down on her. She didn't care. Momentarily she watched the rain fall down. Then she just let out a tired sigh and let her head fall down.

Chaza glanced down at the lioness, then back at her hyena companion and his "excavation" in the back of the cave. She'd probably just gotten sick from the smell of the scavenger, and needed some fresh air.
No matter. He had watched Ina return to her pride, and the situation didn't look good for her -- though it might turn out very nicely for him. Apparently, that loud one was trying to take over. More power to her. If anything, it would be better for him; keeping the war going would reduce the numbers of his enemies on both sides of the line.
And where had Feraga's warriors gotten off to? Filthy cowards. Kill, kill, kill! He shook his head, wondering where that had come from. He'd been called insane before, but never had other voices invaded his head. But he had been feeling a bit more...vicious lately. In fact, he had nearly lost it when battling the Feraga pride. Common sense told him that that would have ended with his death, but the other voice kept singing out, over and over, Kill, kill, kill, kill.... It was ringing in his ears, now. He shook his head again and looked down at Kirsui.
"What's the matter?" Something was wrong, obviously. He could care less about her as an individual, but there was no telling if she might prove useful to his purposes. Kill, kill them, kill them first, kill them all! He tried to ignore the pounding rythm, and tilted his head questioningly to the lioness laying before him.

Stardust shrugged at what was happening, seeing how Chaza apparently wanted to talk to Kirsui. The hyena curled up on a ball and closed his eyes. Atleast he wouldn't mind some rest... After a moment Stardust had fallen asleep.
Kirsui got surprised by the sudden voice behind her. She turned to look at Chaza with a blank expression. "I have nightmares" she explained. "I've had them for a long time. They come every now and then. Then they dissappear momentarily, until they come back..."
She let out a sigh, turning to the rainy savannah again. Why was she telling this to an unknown lion anyway? She hadn't told about these to other lions before, not after she had left her pride. Kir flattened her ears, feeling a bit uncomfortable. Not because of the rain, but because of the lion she was talking to.

She snarled as Fire stood up to question her motives and actions.
"They! Attacked! Us!...Fire why can you not get this through your thick skull....what would you have me do! just say..."
Putting on a quiet and feebled voice
"oh..no sorry...this is our land..can you please not take it from us"
Going back to her snarled and angry tone
"They Crossed our! borders and charged us!!! i simply gave the orders to defend my pride, that i have been placed in charge here to do!..i dont have the luxury of lying in a cave and sleeping when a threat shows it self"
Clearly remembering the incident earlier where fire had done nothing to help with Chaza had gone bezerk. Despite the long and vicious battle Xena stood, ready to do it all over again, her head lowered as her dark orange eyes glistened in Fires direction, making an example to all of the pride that was watching, that she believed her actions Just and wise. Waiting to see what Fire would dare say to her.

"Nightmares, hmm?" Chaza shrugged. "I'm afraid I can't do anything about that." He didn't feel particularly sorry, but appearances must be kept up. Then an idea came to him -- he must be "in the know" on both of the warring prides, so why not see what Feraga was up to? With wind-running, it wouldn't take long to find them, and he had ways of remaining unseen and unheard. "If you'll excuse me for a moment," he said smoothly, then disappeared in a whirlwind.
Three minutes' journeying brought him right to the outskirts of Feraga's cave of refuge. He directed the wind deftly, manipulating its currents to enhance his hearing. Soon, he could hear all that was said nearby. And it seemed they were having a bit of a spat. He grinned knowingly. So often, when prides licked their wounds, they opened new ones. Chaza decided not to intervene, but just to listen...take in all the information he needed...then disappear again.

Lorien turned her body as Ina suddenly appeared behind them all. She smiled slightly, glad to see their leader was alive and not one of the fallen. Also, that she hadn't deserted them as Sitama had suggested. Her head, now soaked from the falling rain, turned from Sitama and back to Ina, waiting to see what would happen between them. She didn't like where this was going...didn't like it one bit. Her body was soaked from head to toe, her longer fur hanging from her body. Her hair tuft was matted to her head and her tail was dripping with mud. Although she didn't really want to, she headed toward the cave to get out of this rain that she wasn't very fond of. She could still see from there, and what was better, she didn't have dead bodies at her left and right inside the cave.
