Part 3:Family Matters

V was moving throgh the battlefeild fallowing the lions taking Kadoo.
"What do you think your doing." V said, the lions turned to him. V pounced at one earning four scars across the left side of his face. He killed the first one, turning to the one holding Kadoo. The fight was short enough.

"Are you ok?" Asked Kadoo.

"I was just about to ask you the same thing." V said.

"You really need to learn how to stay out of trouble." V said.

"I'm shure you're an expert on that." Kadoo said.

"Don't push you luck kid." V said.

"Come on let's go stop the fight. I'v been wanting to kick Nabu's A## for a long time." He said.

I did learn quite a few good moves over the course of being a rogue, and this is far from one of those good moves.
"Fool" Nabu said, tensing his body, ignoring the claws in his shoulder, "Discipline will always out manoeuvre rougism" quickly putting his legs on AJ's Stomach, flipping him, unsheathing all his claws and placing one of those unsheathed claws on AJ's face and another on his neck "Now i would be very careful on your next move, you wouldn't want me to slip" he said, pussing his claws deeper into AJ's skin for emphesis

"go on, kill me, i dare you. You know that you could never bring yourself to do it. If you think you're really that great, kill. me." A.J smirked at Nabu.

"Nabu!" V yelled.
He ran over to A.J. and Nabu.

"I'm gong to floss my teeth with your spine!" He yelled in anger.

"Eewww!" Kadoo said.

Nabus Grip tightened, he was about to speak when

"Your friends have just earned your death" Nabu said, removing both paws of AJ's face and throat, lifting one paw, unsheathing his claws and swiping at AJ's throat, cutting it with a deep incision, the blood flowing freely from AJ's neck
"Anyone else wish to die by my paw?" he roared, as the blood flowed over his paw, it felt good to be killing again, Turning and looking at V he spoke again, joy and hatred filling his voice and heart, "You next little kitty?"

V ran over to Nabu evading his first attack, biting into Nabu's neck unfortunatly his mane protected him.

Kadoo ran over to A.J. the cut was deep but nonleathel because of his mane.
"It's ok, it's ok, I got you." She was applying a salve to the wound.

((no he isn't dead ))

Pain was all that A.J knew at the moment due to the deep cut Nabu had just given him on his throat which was intentioned to kill him and not just seriously injure him. On second thoughts, pain wasn't the only thing A.J could feel. He tasted a warm metallic liquid in his mouth. Blood. This wasn't good. He managed to look to the left and see Nabu, V and Kadoo. Kadoo, I'm sorry, sorry that you have to see me in this way and that I never really got to spend any real time with you, and only you. A.J knew that he could hang onto life for the moment, but he needed help, fast.

[Nakisisa]

It's ok, it's ok, I got you.
"It's too late hes dead" Nabu laughed maniacally, turning and kicking V's legs from under him, "now what was that about" Nabu said turning to V, "He dared me" he said an expression of curiosity and snide evil crossed his face

Kadoo gave A.J. some slug grass to kill the pain, she wraped a leaf around his wound.
"It should be ok now. Just wait for it to heal."

V sweeped kicked Nabu knocking him to the ground. V swiped furiously at Nabu while he had an advantage.
"What whould you say if I told you, you brother was king? What would you say if I told you your father was dead? What would you say if I told you I murdered him?"

All of the pain that A.J was in suddenly stopped. It felt like it was only him and Kadoo that was in the world at the moment, he could hear nothing else apart from her gentle, soothing words. He gave her a weak smile, but couldn't speak because of the blood that had gathered in his mouth and throat.

Kadoo turned A.J. onto his stomach so any fluid would drain from his mouth. She turned her head to see the fight, and ate another twi. She pulled A.J. into a standing position, geting her shoulder underneath him to hold him up.

(( ohh all out fighting rules ))

"Ide say he needs training" nabu said kicking at V's stomach winding him, standing up Nabu rammed him to the ground "And that you are just like me, a hartless piece of scum" he said swiping at him, "Just like your B!+€¥ of a sister" Nabu said taunting his uncle(?) "Like her son's and daughter, Uncle" he said swiping even more violantly at V, "you've just seen I can kill, now, Surrender or Die, along with the rest of your puney pathetic army" he said, showing some dignaty, letting the cowwards run and die another day.

V opened his eyes wide, as soon as he heard Nabu say what he did, it pushed him over the edge. V went all out. Barly giving Nabu time to react, he wanted to pull his heart out of his chest.

"I'll show you who the real B!+@# is!" V went blind with fury, like a berserker he threw Nabu over his shoulders. V bit onto Nabus muzzle smothering him.

Nabu was being smothered, but he kept his cool, Three flicks of his tale and all he'll would break lose
*three flicks*
The guards acted at once attacking V and pinning him to the ground, recovering from the bite wound Nabu spoke, "Ashame she couldent control her diseres" he said taunting him more as he placed a claw to his neck, several other lions followed his lead, if he now moved he would die, "So what's it to be Uncle? Death? Or, Surrender?" he said tauntingly, as Awia came to watch the fight, bringing his family with him to assist the Amani and Heshima wounded.

A mighty wind blew, thunder claped, and there was a voice:
"Nabu! Let him go, so says the king!" Said Barafu.

"Men!" He said athoritively. He seemed hardened.

"You take orders from me, and only me! Nabu no longer has athority in this matter! You are no longer the prince." He said as his men migrated over one by one.

When Kadoo saw Barafu talk somthing caught her eye, her father.
"NO!" She ran over to his body; crying she roared in mourning.

V took the oportunity of distraction, and kicked out of Nabu's hold, backing up several feet.

"I am prince in blood and bone" shouted back Nabu, "And you need training" he said turning his attention back to V
"If you give me one excuse, then you'll wish you had never been born" he said snidely, turning away from V, and towards his brother,
when he got there he just stared into the youn kings eyes, he didn't see strength or power there, he just saw a cub out of his depth, someone who had no training or fear to rule with, just a playfully cub
"Wheres Mother." Nabu snapped at his brother, not breaking eye contact, strenght and hatred showing in Nabus own eyes

Awia moved to the gathering, "Sires" he began "it's good that you are alive, Now Nabu, as you find your mother, I wish to speak with you about the state of the prides and what must be done"

The hate in his brothers eyes was returned.
"Mother stayed behind. I don't need training, mother would be my advisor, and I would learn from expereance." Barafu said.

"He needs nothing. He is king... So says king Mwiba." V said.

"Nabu, your all alone, if you want to get out alive, run for life." V said as what was left of the Wamesahau army joined him, and the Heshima, and Amani tribes, along with the gorillas all agreed on one fact Mwiba has fallen, and is dragging his fallowers dow with him.

"The fact is Barafu, mother couldent teach you anything more than what you already know" Nabu said as he walked past him, into the ranks of Barafus followers Awia followed him

(( Awia bold, Nabu normal ))
"Now what is it"
"Its about this joining and becoming king business"
"Yes what about it?" nabu said impatiently as the left the ranks and were out of ears shot
"Your brother, he's to young by our laws, you however..."
"Hmmm" nabu said as Awia continued
"Are old enough to take custody while your brother ages, and the joining of the prides can't happen, our rules won't allow it"
"Intresting Awia, intresting" nabu said, after a miniute nabu spoke again "Does my brother know of this?"
"No my lord"
"Good, I'll tell him about it myself" he said as they reached the cave, he ignored everyone, including Iya and went into the royal chambers where his mother was
"Mother, I've just been at the battle and well, fathers dead" he said sadly going to comfert his mother

A.J could barely stand, even with Kadoo's help, because he had lost so much blood. However, seeing her run over to her father's dead body, he forced himself to walk over and comfort her.

A.J slowly made his way to Kadoo and sat down next to her, blood still dripping from his neck "I-I'm sorry, I really am. Don't worry, we have each other, we can get through this." his voice was croaky and barely auible, but loud enough for Kadoo to hear.

Jicho was sad, but not as sad as she could have been. She lifted her head, and walked over to Nabu.
"I am sorry son, your father had a big heart, but was missguided by tragity." She went to the small cubs at the mouth of the cave.

"His quest for purity killed him." She said.

Kadoo cryed on the body of her dead father.
"His spirit goes on, with the great kings of the past. He will finally see his father." She smiled still crying.

"A.J. what dose this mean? Who will lead the Wamesahau?" She asked.

"I know only one who could lead these lands." V said.

Kadoo looked up at V.
"But when I can, I will become queen right?" She asked.
---
"Yes of coarse, but until then we will be lead by king... Nguvu!" He yelled to the Wamesahau.

Kadoo was confused.
"My grandfather? He is dead, how are we to be lead by him?" She asked.

"Ever heard of the tree of life? Shortly after his poisoning he was brought south through the desert, the waters by tree was said to heal all. I never heard from the man we sent, so I don't know if he made it or not." V said.

"Given enough time it might even heal Naki." He said.

Kadoo was suddenly filled with happyness.
"Thank you V,thank you so much, but before we go I must say goodbye to my cubs, and you'll finally get to meet them A.J."

A.J smiled at Kadoo, seeing her happy again was all that he could've hoped for. He still knew that Her father's death hurt her deeply, but he knew she could cope with it. She had a strong heart. A.J lay down, the pain coming back to him again. "First, I may need a little help here." he cringed in pain, his voice still hardly audible.

[Nakisisa]

(( Oh a return from Naki, isn't he still stuck up a tree somewhere? ))

I am sorry son, your father had a big heart, but was misguided by tragedy ... His quest for purity killed him.
"Then who am I?" he asked his mother "I am my Fathers son, and Barafu, he's to young to be king, by law of the land, Mother" he said sadly "Who am I? What have I become?" he asked, still not forgetting the events of that faithful evening, he was still under orders.

Kadoo helped A.J.
"I would be happy to help." She said wipeing tears from her eyes.

"And as for the king, there won't be one until he is old enough. Till then I will be queen alone." She said.

The words stung slightly, he thought he would get some sympathy but that was obviousley not the case.

Upon hearing this, the spell Awia had put on him took effect again, the queen was still alive, and so his orders still stood
"Yes my queen" Nabu said almost mechanically, his mother would probabily pick up on it, as Nabu had been filled with sorrow and hate only moments before now he was subtle and calm
"What are your orders my queen"

Awia walked in, his work complete before he had even spoken, and upon hearing nabus voice, he knew the spell had held.

"Orders? Why would I order you my son?" Jicho asked.

"Come on before we go lets go say goodbye to my cubs." She said.
