OCC: Hi...um...I've never roleplayed on this site, so I figured I'd put this here to get use to some of the members roleplaying styles. Well, now to explain the roleplay.
I've noticed that all the roleplays on this site deal with lions (go figure), so, I figured, why not make one that is about more animals than lions. So, yeah. The story follows my character Kabox, a black Leopard that has left his adoptive family looking for his own path in life (you can see his history on his character page). From there, anything can really happen. The location is somewhere in Africa that is mostly savanna but has some jungles and rivers near by. Feel free to jump in as any animal you want.
The sun was high in the sky over the savanna; the sound of insects filled the air. All was calm. Standing in the grass of the hot African landscape, a heard of Impala quietly ate grass, every once in a while looking over the grass for danger. Little did they know, only ten feet away from the heard, a large cat glared at them with bright eyes the color of fire. Keeping low to the ground, the cat waited for the opportune moment to strike, making sure not to make a sound. Several minutes passed with only subtle movements being made by the cat, when finally, he grinned. A bird had flown from a tree in the distance making a majority of the animals look in that direction. That is when the cat struck.
Charging from the grass, a large black leopard began to chase an Impala. This particular was a medium sized female that happened to be running slower than the rest of her heard. It would be a sad day for this animal, or so thought the cat. After several moments of running, the panther jumped onto the animal and pinned her to the ground by her neck with his front paws. He grinned at her and was about to bite her neck to finish her off, when his eye glanced down to her stomach. While running, he didn’t notice, but now that he had her on the ground, it was now obvious why the animal was running slower than the rest. This animal was pregnant.
The cat had to think a moment, what was he going to do? If he killed her, he would be fed, but then he would feel horrible about killing the unborn animal. However, if he let her go, he would go hungry, but both the mother and child would live. After thinking a moment, he frowned and lifted his paws, sat on the ground beside the animal. He then looked away as the Impala got off the ground and ran in the direction her heard had gone. The cat just stood up and began to walk away. “Stupid Kabox.” He said to himself, slightly upset. “Some days I hate my emotions.” He then looked down and saw a lizard scurrying away. “Oh well, at least I won’t go completely hungry.” He then lifted his paw and placed it on the lizard, immobilizing it, and grinned.
