Travels with Tanga- My First RP Ever

OOC:(Hey, everybody! You can call me M. I'm brand new to role playing, though I have had some experiance on neopets boards, I've never done a lion king one before. This one is for practice before I jump into a new one.
My lion's name is Tanga, a young lion who left his pride to see the world. He's very laid-back and friendly (which sometimes gets him in trouble). Tanga never stays in one place for too long. He's always on the move.)

(Bic:) It was evening on the savanna. The sun was just beginning to go down, when Tanga appeared from the underbrush of the trees. He yawned, exposing his great, sharp teeth. Tanga wandered into the middle of the meadow and took a look around.

"It's getting kinda late." the young lion thought. "I wonder where I'll be able to sleep tonight?"

He peered over the horizon and saw, off in the distance, a large jutting rock, its shadow looming over the grass.

"How about by that rock?" Tanga thought. "I'm sure there won't be any other lions there tonight." Even though Tanga knew that there were probably other lions living near the rock, his curiosity was getting the better of him, and he forced himself not to think about the possibility of other animals as he began to creep over the grass towards the east where the rock sat...

Hofu was walking over to a tree when he heard another lion moving through the grass.
"Hmm, who could that be?" He said to himself. He peaked his head over a rock, and saw a lion walking in front of him.

"Oh, not again, I don't know what to do, stay go, stay, go, Ugh." He said to himself, pacing back and forth.

Tanga stopped dead in his tracks. He had heard a sound nearby.
"A lion?" thought Tanga. "If it's a lion, then I'm in trouble. If it's an antalope or something edible, then I shouldn't let it get away. I haven't eaten for a while."
He began to creep slowly to where the sound had come from...

"I could casually come forward, I could sneak away, I could hide, I could just be an idiot, like now, I've had enough practice." He said, and as he did he heard them move again, coming closer.

"Now I really don't know what to do." he said.

OOC: sorry it took so long, I'm watching the news

The creature in the grass began to move.
"I'd better catch it before it runs away," thought Tanga.
He leaped into the air and landed on top of the creature's back.

Hofu felt something hit his back.
"Oh, ow, that's one way to say hi." He said into the dirt.

"What did I do?" He asked laughingly.

Tanga jumped off the lion's back and leaped into the grass. He crouched low and bared his teeth and growled, expecting the lion to attack him. But it didn't, so Tanga got out of the crouching position.
"W-Who are you?" he asked.

He stood up and brushed himself off.
"Hello I am Hofu, and you are?" He said not knowing how disturbing his smile was.

(OOC: What crashed into you, lionsunrise?)

Tanga gulped. He saw the terrorfying grin Hofu sported, and backed away from him a few steps.
"Should I trust him?" Tanga thought. "Or should I run away? If I run away, he might chase after me, but if I stand still, he might attack me. But then again, he didn't attack me when I jumped on him, so maybe I should try to befriend him."
He looked Hofu in the eye, for that was the best way of showing another lion he was not afraid.
"I'm Tanga," he said. "Do you live around here?"

"No I'm a wanderer, and-" Hofu was cut off by the sound of a lion in pain.

"What the..." Hofu ran over to see what the noise was.

"Come on let's see what that was." He said to Tanga.

(OOC: Yeah. If something crashed into me, it might hurt a bit. But anyway...)

Tanga and Hofu looked around. but they could see nothing that could have made that noise.

"Oh, well," said Tanga. "It must have been a bird or something. Anyway, do you know if any lions live near that rock over there?"

"I think there is an upstart pride that lives there, but they hunt at night." Hofu said looking around.

"I ran into two lions and a lioness earlier to." Hofu looked sad.

"but anyways."

"I'd like to check that place out." said Tanga. "What do you say we go there, and then leave early before the pride gets back?"

"Rather mischifous I see." Hofu said.

"You know, you remind me of a freind I once had, a long time ago."

[tangawanderer1]

Tanga was starting to get uncomfortable. Maybe going to the rock wasn't such a good idea after all. But it might also be interesting to see what the place was like. Once again, curosity was getting the better of Tanga. Maybe he could get this lion to go with him for protection.
"It'll be alright," said Tanga. "We'll only be there for a few minites, and we can get out of there fast if we have to. What do you say?"

"Yyyeea, shure why not?" He said.

"I'm up for it, like old times." He was slightly excited slightly nervous.

"Alright" said Tanga. "Let's go."
The two lions began to walk towards the large jutting rock that stood over the horizon. By now the sun was down, and only a faint glow from over the mountians showed that the sun had been up a few hours ago. As the two lions got closer, the rock they looked at got bigger and bigger.
"Wow," thought Tanga. "That thing is huge!"
When the lions were about 100 feet from the rock, they stopped and crouched low in the grass.
Tanga sniffed. "You smell anything?" he asked Hofu...

((OOC: I'm going to join with Urari, but without the powers. Everything else is the same though, like the white tail tuft he has ))

Hofu sat down but was still alert.
"I don't think so, but they were here not so long ago. If they just left, then we got plenty of time." He said, looking around.

"let's move up." He crawled to the edge of the grass, and walked over to the rock.

OOC: cool you could be part of the pride who's rock we're commendeering.

Tanga stared up at the jutting rock.
"It looks cool," Tanga said. "I think I'll jump on it."
He ran passed Hofu, all the way up to the very tip of the jutting rock.
"Hey Hofu! Look at me!" Tanga called. He roared loudly.
Big mistake.

(OOC: i'll be part of the pride that just left Pride rock, if that's where you're at, and is the pride Simba's pride?)

Urari was minding his own business in the den, trying to entertain himself, ut he couldn't. "Oh man...can't they get back sooner? I have nothing to do..." he was about to go to sleep when he caught the scent of two unfamiliar lions. "Actually, maybe this won't be such a bad day after all." He got up and slowly walked outside. He heard roaring out on the pinnacle of the rock. "What the..." As he walked out he saw a lion on the top of it and growled."Hey! Get down! This isn't yours!"

Hofu ran up to the top right behind Tanga.
"Whoa, look at that sunset." He said, as his gaze became distant.

"It really takes your breath away." Hofu said rubbing a tear from his eye.

OOC: (The pride may or may not be Simba's pride. It can maybe be Simba's pride in the future or in the past.)

"Yeah, it sure is," said Tanga. Suddenly, he heard a voice.
"Hey! Get down! That isn't yours!!"

Tanga gasped. He whiriled around and saw a large lion staring at him.

"Ummm...I..."

Hofu started to laugh.
"On the count of three we run." He wispered.

"1... 2... 3!" He took off running.

"Run?" thought Tanga. "But he might chase us!! Oh well, it's better than being attacked."
Tanga jumped off the peak of the rock and landed on all four feet. He followed Hofu, because Tanga had no idea where to run or hide.

(OOC: Have to go eat lunch. Maybe we could continue this later, or tomorrow.)

(OOC: alright, will you be back after lunch?)

"If that's how you want it, then that's how you'll get it." Urari whispered to himself as he unsheathed his claws and roared as loudly as he could, he could probably have been heard from a few miles away, and ran as fast as possible after the two lions. "I can't wait to show those two to Simba."

[Lionsunrise]

OOC: I'll join as Sabre.

Sabre yawned loudly and rolled over from the lovely spot he'd been lazing around in. The sunset was starting, and he knew he'd be on Night Patrol, so he'd decided to get sleep while he could, and he had a zebra bone to nibble on.

Sabre's perfect world of lazing was smashed into a thousand pieces as he spotted a couple of lions running towards the spot where he'd been goofing- er, resting. They were looking behind themselves to check out yet another lion. Urari. Recognisable by his white tail tuft. They were all running away from Pride Rock, so they were probably trespassers. Sabre ducked behind a rock and prepared to pin them when they ran past.

Stupid Urari. If only he'd caught them before they'd disturbed him. They were a pretty weird couple too. A teenagerish lion with a weird-looking older guy. Sabre unsheathed his claws and bared his huge fangs. Scared was always preferable to dead.

Usually.

Urari continued sprinting after the two of them at full speed, slowly gaining on them. He knew he had the advantage because he was older and had almost fully developed his muscles and mind. In other words, he would catch them, or at least he would catch the younger one, and they would face the consequences when Simba got back.

As he ran, the scent of another lion, familiar this time, came across him. He immeadiatelt recognised it as Sabre who was probably hiding somewhere as usual, but he took little notice, as he was focusing on catching the two lions.

[Lionsunrise]

Sabre peeked around his rock. Good. They were gonna run right past him. Urari was gaining on them, but Sabre decided he'd better intervene anyway. He was bored and Simba would give out to him if he heard Sabre hadn't seen intruders.

Sabre hoped these lions weren't crazies who supported Scar, that nut who became King. Then that whackjob Zira had tried to avenge him. Oh well, these guys probably weren't Scar or Zira supporters.

He readied his hugely muscled body, and pounced.

Hofu saw the lion catching up to him, when he saw another lion pounce at him.
"Tanga, turn left." He said as he jumped out of the way.
