The Great Battle Practice

[Lionsunrise]

Alistair spun around in mid-air as he heard that damn lioness running after him.

"GET LOST!!!" he roared. "You just said this war is pointless! So stop chasing ME!!!

His powers were almost completely exhausted, and he was still a fair distance from the den.

Then he did a double-take. He could usually read emotions, and this lioness only had sadness on her face. No fear, anger, hatred, determination.

Tocho drooped her head. 'I know this is idiotic but...'

"I need your help. Yes. I said this war is pointless. In saying that...Maybe I; and others; might make a difference."

Tocho squinted her eyes, 'what am I doing?! I just attacked him, why would he help?'

[Lionsunrise]

"Even if that were possible, who would? Most want an end to the war- that is exactly why they are fighting. They fight out of fear, self-preservation and desire for revenge. The only way a truce can be established if there is trust, and that is something no lion from either pride is willing to give."

Alistair dropped from the sky in exhaustion, his powers had been almost completely drained. He began running tiredly towards the den, his paws dragging and his vision starting to flicker.

"I apologize, Feraga lioness. Though you are correct, and I don't want to fight this war, I must. I cannot run, and efforts for peace would be wasted on Sumai. He is set in his ways. He cannot change."

[tittiana]

Tocho dropped her head.

"I know all you are saying is true. But what I'M saying is that we(we in general) build our own team. Diplomacy team. If we turn enough people then.....maybe the battle can end.", Tocho lifted her head as Alistair started running. So she ran after him. "Wait!"

" I also realize that the cause for this war is because of short resources. What if this hypothetical team also went to find new resources, or a better place to live? We could save many an innocent life!"

[Lionsunrise]

Alistair slowed down slightly so she ran beside him.

"No-one is innocent anymore. The war made sure of that. Besides, once the searchers leave to find resources war will probably break out again. Even if it doesn't, that is the focal point of the war. No-one is going to leave. Not until they are destroyed. I want to believe you, but it is impossible.
Unless you suggest we grow a forest and divert rivers to lure food and water here, I know this war won't end peacefully."

Alistair had no faith in either prides' mercy. Even this lioness only stopped attacking when she knew she could not win.

They were only two hundred metres from the Burja den.

"Unless you want to be killed, turn around now."

"look. And I don't want to sound like one of these people; but just we(we being hypothetical again) could make a small, but drastic difference. And If no one helps me then, Dammit! I'll die trying!", Tocho spoke, turning to walk away, "Just think about what I said.", Tocho then ran off.
