Zoba was fast asleep under an acacia tree. He had been separated from his brother, Uriah, for a week now. Not a single day had gone by since they parted ways that Zoba didn't wonder what Uriah could be doing and where he could be at that moment. The two parted frequently and cherished the time they had together whenever they ran into each other every so often. It seemed that they were fated to constantly cross paths.
Zoba awoke but didn't open his eyes. The warm African sun was dawning. It warmed Zobas face and mane. He could feel the warmth on his eyelids as he saw the reddish orange color that the back of his eyelids appeared to be when one closed their eyes while facing the sun. He then thought of Uriah and wondered if at the same time, he might be feeling the same thing while thinking of him.
Finally, Zoba opened his eyes. For a moment, he didn't recognize where he was. He rolled over onto this stomach and looked around. Vast, wetlands about half his arms length deep with dry spots of varying sizes stretched as far as his orange colored eyes could see. Then he remembered where he was and what he was doing here. Zoba had been traveling to a place that he was told had abundant food and enough water for a hundred herds of zebra. If Uriah had heard of this place as well, this is where he would be headed.
Zoba got up and shook his mane. A couple shocks of his mane came down over his eyes and he pulled them back over his head. He hated it when his mane got in his eyes. Zoba hadn't had much to eat. He wasn't a very good hunter but hopefully the amount of possibilities here would increase his chances. Maybe he could find someone to help him hunt too.

Hagen yawned and stretched his sleepy muscles. The dawning of yet another day, yet another opportunity to see the world and search for that own land of his... One day he'd be the king of a vast kingdom - rule the roost, master of the savannah! The young lion chuckled to himself. Not really; big dreams like that were not for him. He would be perfectly fine with a small patch of land somewhere where he could roam free without having to worry about who would chase him away the following day. Somewhere private where he wouldn't have to deal with the odd glances of the strangers that saw his white fur for the first time... Not that he really cared any more, but it sure wouldn't be so bad to not have to be stared at every day.
Hagen rolled onto his back and carefully opened his blue eyes for the first time since sunset, thankful that the morning light wasn't yet bright enough to have blinded him, and gazed onto the acacia tree's swaying leaves above him. The cool breeze was usually welcomed, but in the chilly morning light, when the heat of day had not yet warmed him up, Hagen shivered. Still too cold. He rolled back onto his belly. Then, while giving his half-grown mane a good shake, he slowly got on his paws and turned his face towards the rising sun. Beautiful... Bit by bit the vast Okavango Delta was touched by the rays of light, but the area was already buzzing with activity. Herds of hundreds of animals wandering about the lush, green grounds of the swamp as far as the eye could see. Everything in bloom and filled to the brim with life. It was hard to imagine that this place was a hard, dry desert for many months of the year... Hagen had heard of Okavango when he was a cub and had since then wished to visit it someday. He had now arrived during the previous night and would today spend his second day in this thriving paradise. How he looked forward to it!

(OOC: looks great, Kanu.)
Zoba wasn't really sure what to do now that he had arrived at his destination. He still had the whole day ahead of him. I guess the first thing to do is see if there's anybody out there. He thought to himself. He took a deep breath and roared. It wasn't a threatening roar. Just a roar to say 'I'm here'. Sometimes it was better for everyone to know of your presence. Zoba listened for a response. If he was lucky, maybe Uriah would be out there somewhere.

This...was Okavango? She couldn't believe it. And at first, she didn't. Manyara expected to wake up from a dream, but it was real. She remembered this place as a barren wasteland, not as a beautiful paradise.
The sun was rising. She had been walking atleast two hours before dawn, she had originally planned to take a quick nap before leaving for more 'greener' territory. But now? Her curiousity had taken ahold of her, she needed to dissect her surroundings a bit more.
A roar. Damn it. Manyara hoped that she would've been the only lion here. She decided to keep her distance, with her eyes narrowed and searching. She did not want to risk her being discovered.

The ground felt almost squidgy underneath his paws as he approached a nearby waterhole, but Hagen didn't really mind. It was a kind of funny surface to walk on, but he'd rather have it squidgy and cool than stone hard and searing hot, as much of the earth the young lion had wandered on before had been. He stopped at the water's edge and regarded his white reflection for a moment with a brief frown before bending down to have a drink. The water was clean and fresh. Hagen contemplated a full bath but quickly decided against it as the air was still too chilly for his liking... That, and his swimming was all but graceful and he didn't really like being laughed at by his lunch.
Then suddenly a roar echoed across the Delta. Hagen pricked up his ears and was suddenly tense. It hadn't been a threatening roar though, just someone announcing their presence. "Hmm..." The other lion wasn't all that far away either. Some company wouldn't be so bad after all these days alone, so after a few seconds Hagen responded with a similar sound, as if saying "I'm here too", and started walking towards where he had heard the first roar.
It wasn't long before he could see the other male - an impressive character, probably older than Hagen, but his stance didn't seem hostile. The white lion approached with a confident smile and stopped a couple of paces from the other. "Greetings!" he said, simply.

A couple lengthy seconds passed by before Zobas ears detected another roar similar to the one he had just uttered. Whoever it was wasn't too far away either. He scanned the landscape in the direction the voice came from. It didn't take long before he saw a small silhouette of a young male lion in the distance. When the lion got closer, Zoba realized something unique about this lion. He was white. Not the light color fur that some lions typically had, but rather a definite white like a zebra without stripes. This probably hindered his ability to hunt. Zoba had hoped to find someone who could help him get food because he was no good at hunting. He was just too big. Zoba stared while the younger male approached wondering why he was white or how he came to be that way but decided it was probably best not to mention that.
When the white lion was near enough that they could speak to each other, he spoke the friendly "Greetings."
Zoba remembered his manners and tried not to stare. "Good morning." He said with a smile on his muzzle. "Beautiful place, isn't it?" Zoba glanced at the terrain and then back at the other lion.

Good. A younger lion had distracted the other. Maybe it was her chance to get out of here? But first, she wanted to know more. What were discussing? Does it have anything to do with Okavango looking like...this. The one thing that cemented her choice of staying, was how odd the younger one looked! Never in her short life had she seen one like him.
Stealthily, she ascended up a nearby accacia. Once Manyara was up, all she needed was just a closer look. Unbeknownest to her, as she slowly inched her body forward on her selected branch, it slowly began to crack and give way to her weight, and once she noticed this, it was all too late.
It broke and fell with her following behind it. She hit the ground with a hard 'thud', but quickly gained up in a proud stance.
"I meant to do that, " she said in a quick, arrogant tone. On the inside, she was completely mortified. She hoped the scars on her face atleast gave her an aire of maturity.

Erico had traveled for days to run away from his family. When he stumbled upon this place he immediately slept, forgetting all of his 'training'. Unsurprisingly he slept through the roar. But when he heard the crack of the branch and the thud of Manyara hitting the ground he sprung to his feet and immediately was prepared for an attack. When none came he crouched in some tall grass nearby and went looking for the cause of the sound. A little bit latter still hidden by the grass he saw them. Three lions, just standing there.
'Hmm. Wonder where the white one came from’ he thought to himself
When he realized that one of the one of them had fallen off a tree he quietly chuckled to himself.

Before the other white lion had a chance to speak, there was a sudden thud. Zoba turned to see what had made the noise. It was a young female lion.
"I meant to do that, "
It definitely wasn't the first time Zoba had heard someone say that. He turned his attention from the white lion the the lioness. "Are you alright?" he asked.

"Alright?" she huffed, her confidence regained, "Why, I live to do stunts like this!" She was lying through her teeth, of course. Naive, arrogant, and a strong dislike of having company, she had no livelihood. Or desire of doing "death defying" stunts. What she really was a rogue lion, with absolutely no life.
Yes. Manyara is, was (and probably will always be) a fool.
Not that it stopped her from making herself seem more important than she actually was.
"Why are you two trespassing into my territory?" Another blantant lie. She decided to milk this 'head lioness in charge' attitude for all it had. To be female and gifted with an overinflated ego!

OOC: Short stuff, but just to keep up... xP
IC: "Good morning. Beautiful place, isn't it?"
A friendly soul, how nice! Hagen continued smiling and nodded. "It is indeed! Hard to believe it would look like a desert half the year, eh? I mean I've--"
A sudden crash behind them cut off his sentence and they whipped around to find a lioness lying there. Glancing from her to the broken branch on the acacia tree, Hagen could figure out just what had happened.
"I meant to do that!"[/i] the lioness cried, but somehow he doubted it. Then upon hearing her out, he also raised an eyebrow - unimpressed.
"Why are you two trespassing into my territory?"[/i]
"Excuse me?" said Hagen, surprised, and without realizing it took a step forward. "What gives you the right to say that? Okavango doesn't belong to anyone!" A hint of anger was in his voice, and as if ready to fight for this statement, Hagen lowered his stance, eyes slightly narrowed. Female or not, it was an unwritten rule that Okavango was and would remain an unmarked territory; those were the stories he had heard as a cub, and they remained true! Right?

"Excuse me? What gives you the right to say that? Okavango doesn't belong to anyone!" Erico thinking that this will escalate into a fight, then he lifts one battered paw after another and starts withdrawing. But in his tiredness he fails to see a small branch. as he steps on a branch he fells it but it is too late to do anything
*CRACK*
As he jumps to attention he stumbles and falls. When he gets up he is standing where all of the lions can clearly see him. A an instant is ready for a fight he says Dang loud enough for every one to hear

The lioness was apparently too proud to let them know that she had obviously fallen from the branch by accident. Zoba just let it go. It wasn't worth arguing.
"Why are you two trespassing into my territory?"
Zoba tried to sort this statement out. It didn't make any sense. Okavango was never owned by anyone nor would it ever be. Besides, it was just too big to be ruled by any one individual. The white lion responded with a hint of hostility in his voice.
"What gives you the right to say that? Okavango doesn't belong to anyone!"
"A bold play but you're not fooling anyone." Zoba replied to the lioness. "Nobody would want to own this land anyway because it's completely dry half the-"
Zoba was interrupted by the sound of a snapping branch. He quickly turned to see another lion. This one was darker with a dark brown mane. The scars on his shoulder probably told something of his past. Whoever he was, he was definitely trying to sneak up on them.
"Dang."
Zoba got into a defensive stance. "What were you doing over there, sneaking around?" He said with a deep, stern tone.

"What were you doing over there, sneaking around?"
Apparently, the lion who just asked him that was ready for an attack. But instead of attacking, Erico did something completely and utterly random.
He got out of his defensive stance hung his head low and walked to the closest water hole.
"Oh don't mind me sneaking around." he said "I was just going for a swim"
As he dived in to the nearby water. At an instant he was back out cool watter dripping every where around him. his fur was drenched. His mane soaked and the extr weight parted it in the back a certain way as to reveal the big scar running down the top of his back.
"Now" he said as he got back into a defensive stance "What are you three doing here? And What Is this place"
He said trying to get around the question asked.

(OOC: THIS IS ONLY ROUGH I'LL MODIFY IT TO INCLUDE EVERYONE WHEN I HAVE MORE TIME I ALSO WILL INCLUDE AKUA FURTHER IN!!)
Tura unfurled her slender, adolescent figure and shook her head, then her torso. She looked up at the warm sun letting the wind whip her fur out behind her. Lush green land was everywhere and she sniffed the air. No threatening scents. Yet. She scanned the land with her piercing violet eyes and spotted a herd of zebra calmly grazing. Her tummy growled as the alluring scent pushed her forward. As she walked towards the herd at a trot the largest male came towards her unaware of his danger. When the buck was closest she pounced and with one swift motion brought the buck crashing down. The rest scattered and she let the warm blood of the large male wash over her snout. She dragged the meat away and dropped it down before slumping beside it and starting her feast.
When Tura finished she rested for a while when her relaxing was interefered by a loud roar. Automatically she placed a paw on the zebra and roared in reply. THere was suddenly another roar. Feeling threatened she got to her paws and began to drag the meat to a safe haven when she stumbled across two lions. She pinned her ears back and watched them with hostile eyes. She waited hoping neither would turn and see her. The white one was small and the blondish one was larger than she imagined. She cowered before silently going towards them. "I mean no harm." She said her voice which was usually soft and calm now quivered with fear. She nudged the meat forward. "Take this as an apology for me interfering." Tura murmured before turning and starting to pad away quietly

"Hmph," was all she said before speaking again, "I was just having a little fun with you all," Manyara gave off a fake pout, before changing back to her usual self, before scoffing at the younger lion, "Oh please, I'm not even going to waste my time with you."
She was smiling, inwardly. There was no slip up and she didn't back down. She never felt so...tough. Manyara jumped when she heard a loud *CRACK*. Well, not so much as jumped instead of response to a near-heart attack, "WHAT WAS THAT?"
When she realized it was another one of her kind, she quickly regained her nonchalant facade.

"Oh don't mind me sneaking around. I was just going for a swim."
This was the interlopers response just before he strode casually over to the bank of the water and gave himself a quick wash. The way his mane was parted revealed a scar going across his back. Now this guy was just mocking him. Zoba knew this lion must have been in enough fights to be able to take care of himself. But so had Zoba. Zoba turned a little to make sure that the new lion had not seen his own scar on his shoulder that he tried to keep hidden by his mane. Zoba was definitely not going to let this lion think he was a better warrior than him. The number of scars he had didn't make him better. Zoba had been in countless encounters with other lions and hyenas and other dangers but the scar he bore on his shoulder was the only one that he had. He didn't like to think about the story behind that scar. He would rather keep it hidden and make sure no one else saw it. He wanted to forget that it existed.
"What are you three doing here? And What Is this place"
"This is Okavango if you must know. And before I tell you what my business is, I think you should answer my question first." said Zoba.
Before the scarred lion had a chance to reply, another figure approached the scene. It was a lioness. She carried in her jaws a zebra. Could she have taken that zebra down by herself? Zoba thought. He looked over her trying to see if there was anyone else with her who could have helped her hunt the zebra. There was no one else. She set the zebra down in front of them.
"I mean no harm. Take this as an apology for me interfering."
The lioness's voice was shaky and fragile. She turned around to leave.
"Wait." Zoba said, hoping that she would turn around. If she was good enough to take the zebra down by herself, maybe she could help him hunt.

OOC: Hey, if i ever write something on here with my Itouch then i will tell you that it is a draft and will fix it when i get to my computer. "This is Okavango if you must know. And before I tell you what my business is, I think you should answer my question first." "Okavango...." Erico thought, "hmmm. I haven’t heard about that name sense before I killed my first lion."He was just about to say something when he noticed another lion coming up. The lion was a Ginger and had a zebra. Erico could tell it was fresh meat due to the red stains of blood on its fur. "I mean no harm. Take this as an apology for me interfering."As the lion says this she sets the zebra down. Inside Erico is burning with anger. He wants to know what these three now four lions are doing here so he doesn’t have to talk about his past that he has spent the last three days running from. The lion who insisted on Erico telling him why he was sneaking around said "Wait." Erico noticed that most of his attention had turned to the new lion at hand. "Ok" he thought "now they are all focused on the other lion maybe I can slip away quietly...... No i want to see how this turns out” He silently drops to the ground and lays down just watching and waiting, all angry thoughts flow out of his head at the moment so he can fully observe what is going on.

"Wait." A voice behind Tura called. She pinned her ears back and turned to the lions. "Yes?" She said, her voice a whisper. She trotted back cautiously, curious as to why the large lion had wanted her. She glanced between the two and noticed the one who had not called her was trying to sneak away. Tura stifled a giggle and turned to face the lion. "What is it?" She asked politely an angellic grin on her lips.

Hagen gave up the offensive stance, but his ears were still flat on his head. This lioness was already getting on his nerves, and he didn't even know her name yet! "Oh please, I'm not even going to waste my time with you."[/i] Hagen's eyes widened. Now that was it! Lowering his stance once more, he roared "Don't you underestimate me!" If looks could kill... "I could knock you down before you could even say kimb--!" *crack* Interrupted yet again, Hagen swivled around to find another lion watching them. This one was a male, maybe not much older than Hagen, but he seemed to already have suffered hardships - the large scars told them so... "WHAT WAS THAT?"Hagen glanced back at the lioness before turning his attention to the new male. He thought he had caught a glimpse of insecurity there... Maybe she wasn't as tough as she appeared to be, hm? Back to the new lion; instead of answering the question he had been asked, he turned around and had a dip in the waterhole! Hagen stared, muzzle ajar, confused. What was up with this guy? The white lion shook his head, as if to snap out of confusion, and carried on watching, not doing anything else for now. OOC: Writer's block

"Yes? What is it?"
The lioness said as she turned around to face them. Her voice was calm and serene. Zoba felt stupid. He had just gotten her attention and he had no idea what he was going to say to her.
"Uh... I." Zoba stuttered. "You don't have to leave." He said as he took a step toward her. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw the male with the scars trying to sneak out of sight. Zoba would have to keep an eye on him. That one was too cocky about his fighting ability and apparently put too much pride in his ability to kill. He put his gaze back on the lioness who had brought the zebra.
"What I'm trying to say is that you haven't really intruded on anything. In fact, you could tag along with us if you'd like. We're not really going anywhere. Actually, I think I speak for all of us when I say that we've already arrived at our destination, here in Okavango."

"It's Manyara." she said, warily. Again, she was flustered, but she refused to let that show. It was just another, lion, wonderful. She wondered if she was ever going to have some time to herself.
"If you want to fight someone, at least have the decency to learn that lion's name. Honestly, I'll just chalk it up to you being a cub."

"....Actually, I think I speak for all of us when I say that we've already arrived at our destination, here in Okavango ."
Erico pondered this for a moment. Wondering if this was where all of the others were meaning to go and he just stumbled upon it when trying to runaway from his past. When he walked and dove into the water he thought he saw the white lion a bit surprised. As he thinks this he turns to the white lion and the lion that fell out of a tree.
"It's Manyara," She sounded flustered "If you want to fight someone, at least have the decency to learn that lion's name. Honestly, I'll just chalk it up to you being a cub."
When this was said Erico chuckled to himself He decided that because he had no where to go and highly doubted that any prides would accept him because of what he has done he may as well get to know these lions. Erico Yawns and takes a drink from the watering hole and looks to find a better vantage point to see all of this. He jumps on a low branch nearby testing its sturdiness before getting on.

"You don't have to leave." The male said. Tura was amused at the nerves in the males voice. "Then I won't." She replied with a soft smile. "What I'm trying to say is that you haven't really intruded on anything. In fact, you could tag along with us if you'd like. We're not really going anywhere. Actually, I think I speak for all of us when I say that we've already arrived at our destination, here in Okavango."" Tura listened. "I would be honured to join you." Tura said with a soft smile. "I'm Tura, what about you?" Tura asked curiously. She nudged the zebra towards the male and settled on her haunches. Her mind all twisted, one minute she had been a loner and now she had a new friend. Some things are meant to happen. She thought to herself. She settled herself more and watched the male who she had just met. Now she felt safe.
Ma-akua trotted around the lush plains searching for a pride to join. He began to pant as the sun warmed his fur as the heat made it impossible to go any further he padded under some trees and slumped down to rest his black fringe fell into his eyes and his white fur became brown as he laid in the mud. "What a beautiful place to call home." He murmured scanning the area happily.

"I would be honured to join you. I'm Tura, what about you?"
Zoba was glad she had accepted his invitation. She nudged the zebra over to him as a sign of friendship. Accepting her offer, he grabbed a piece of meat and left it down by his front paws as he sat down.
"My name is Zoba." he replied. She seemed very nice. Hopefully she would agree to help him hunt. He was no good at hunting.
Zoba looked back at the lion who was climbing onto the tree. It might have been a better idea for him not to do that seeing as the other lioness had just fallen from doing the same thing but Zoba decided not to say anything.

"My name is Zoba." The lion replied. "Nice to meet you Zoba." Tura said softly. Zoba turned away to face something and she followed his gaze and began to giggle slightly. "I'd be careful up there." She called. She then settled herself again and rested her head on her paws watching the two lions with amused eyes.

"My name is Zoba" So the lion who I almost attacked was named Zoba thought Erico
He was scanning the field around where everyone met from his branch and saw something dark in the grass.
"I'd be careful up there."
Dismissing the comment uttered by the lioness he identified the dark mass as a lion from his previous pride. The intruder was trying to sneak up on Zoba and the lioness. His ears started twitching madly
Time to show Zoba how glad he is that the lioness came to distract us. he thought
Erico proceeds to jump off the branch that he was on in such a way it looked as if he fell off but he landed and walked calmly toward Zoba. Once he got within five feet of the zebra he looked interested in taking a part for himself but instead whispered to Zoba:
"I am about to show you just how glad you are that I did not attack you"
Erico looked and saw how well the lion was hidden among the grass awaiting the moment to strike. But that moment never came. Erico jumped over the dead zebra and landed on the intruder lion letting lose a loud and vicious roar as he did so. When the roar stopped Erico sunk his teeth into the intruders neck and clawed at his back. Not only taking the intruder by surprise but by attacking so swiftly the trespasser had no time to retaliate before his neck was snapped and his back shredded into ribbons. Erico let the loins blood flow onto the ground and onto his muzzle. Feeling the warm blood in his mouth Erico smiled then frowned and walked away like nothing happened leaving a pool of blood and the dead lion where they were. He walked toward the watering hole muttering to him self louder then he intended.
"How did they catch up with me after three days of running and without food and water in the heat."
Erico sighs and lays down next to the water looking at his bloody paws.

There was someone sneaking up on them. Zoba could smell him, and hear him. Whoever it was, Zoba didn't know. He stayed there waiting to see if the interloper would attack. If he did, Zoba would be ready but for now, he decided it was best to let them think he had gone unseen. The lion with the x-shaped scars on his shoulders got down from the tree and walked past the zebra carcass and up to Zoba. He whispered in his ear.
"I am about to show you just how glad you are that I did not attack you"
Zoba was not impressed. Even though this lion was strong for his age, Zoba was older, larger and stronger. This punk of an adolescent lion took too much pride in his ability to kill. Zoba knew immediately what he was about to do. With a single bound, the scarred lion attacked the one who had not showed himself yet. Amongst the roaring, Zoba yelled with an authoritative roar in his voice. "Stop!" The scarred lion walked away from the one he had just killed. He muttered something to himself but Zoba didn't hear him. He didn't care. Zoba strode over to the murderer. Zoba took one strong paw and struck the lion hard across the face. Few things made Zoba this angry.
"Get up!" Zoba didn't wait for him to respond. He took the skin on the back of the lions neck in his jaws and threw him to his feet.
"You take pride in the fact that you can take a life! But have you ever thought about it at all? Did you ever think that he might have had a family?! A mate. Cubs!"
Zoba shouted at the thought of a cub being fatherless because of this lions inability to think things through before he did anything. Zoba raised a paw again and struck the lion with the scars. Zoba looked down at him with threatening eyes.
"You've never thought these things through when you've taken a life have you. Give me one reason why I shouldn't take yours now."

Erico took the first hit on the face even though it hurt Erico did not show it.
"Get up!" Instead of letting Erico get up by himself Zoba threw him up and continued to yell at him.
"You take pride in the fact that you can take a life! But have you ever thought about it at all? Did you ever think that he might have had a family?! A mate. Cubs!"
Had I thought of this, I lived with him for years thought Erico.
Zoba let another paw fly and hit him right under his right eye leaving a small scar from a claw that hit him.
"You've never thought these things through when you've taken a life have you. Give me one reason why I shouldn't take yours now." Erico thought about this for a few moments before answering in an evenly angered tone
“Have I thought about this!!! Are you serious!? I lived with him for most of my life. And yes I have thought about who I kill. Some of who I kill I don’t know if they had a mate or cubs. And The lion I just killed, he did have a mate, And so did I before… *sigh* …Before HE killed her! As for cubs he had one that followed me into battle a few months ago and died trying to save me other than that he didn't have any.”
Erico Trying to calm down by pacing back and forth in a small circle was thinking about what to say next.
“As for a reason you shouldn’t kill me now,”
His anger growing
“I have killed before because I was told, now I killed for revenge for my mate and hopefully that is the last of my pride that followed me here so I can forget about my past of killing and start over and if you don’t find that as a satisfying answer then I have more answers!!!”

"It's Manyara. If you want to fight someone, at least have the decency to learn that lion's name. Honestly, I'll just chalk it up to you being a cub."
"CUB!?" Hagen's jaw dropped and his eyes widened in surprise again, even more than before. He was boiling with anger, his muscles tense and he was just about ready to all-out attack. "I'll show you!" he growled. "And what kind of a name is 'Manyara' anyway!?" With a roar the white lion sprang from the ground, intending to knock the lioness over. He didn't really want to hurt her, just... teach her a lesson. His paw then caught something odd - some sort of... band tied around her neck that Hagen hadn't noticed before. It was enough of a distraction for him to for a moment lose his focus, so when the lion named Zoba cried "Stop!"[/i] Hagen thought this was intended for him. The young male let go of the lioness and turned around to say something along the lines of "Oh, come on! She was mocking me!" but he choked up before the words came over his tongue.
A... a murder? Here? Right in front of his very eyes? Hagen's body staggered, but he regained his balance in time to not fall over. The sight of the murdered lion's remains made him nauseous. Looking to the scarred male and Zoba, the blood dripping from the scarred one's muzzle gave him away as the killer.
“I have killed before because I was told, now I killed for revenge for my mate and hopefully that is the last of my pride that followed me here so I can forget about my past of killing and start over and if you don’t find that as a satisfying answer then I have more answers!!!”[/i]
"That...!" Hagen paused to regain his breath. "That. doesn't. matter!" he shouted, charging to Zoba's side. "Killing for revenge is never justified! The taking of another lion's life, is... it's horrid! And it's never right! Teaching someone a lesson I can't object to..." He briefly glanced towards the lioness with the collar, ever so slightly guilt-ridden, before looking back at the lion with the scars and continued: "If there's enough reason for it... But you don't just kill someone just like that! I don't care what they did; if you go after revenge, that makes you just as bad as them!" Hagen stared into the eyes of the other lion, teeth gritted and ears flattened, but his ice blue eyes were ablaze with determination. The white lion was not without fear, but he could never let an act of such malice pass him by.
