Zoba heard the words of the snow leopard spoken to the lioness called Kali. It was like she was speaking his mind. Sometimes females were just better at saying things. She walked up to the three of them that were soaked.
"I don't know how to repay you, for saving Sanura, especially you Zoba seeing you have been hurt in the process, for now we will look after you, till you are able to get back on your feet."
Zoba looked at the dark lion and then back at Karensha. He didn’t feel like he deserved all the gratitude. “Thank you. I may have risked my life but Sanura still would have lost hers if it weren’t for him.” He said glancing back at Daylen. “No single individual deserves gratitude here.” He said with a smile. “And thank you again. I sure hope I can be back on my feet soon.”
Uriah still had a puzzled expression on his face. I don’t think they realize fully what just happened. He thought. If they knew what he knew about Zoba, they would realize how much he really risked in doing this act of heroism. Though Zoba didn’t like to be called a hero, in Urias eyes, he had always been a hero. Time after time Zoba had looked after cubs that weren’t even his own. Zobas immense strength and size was betraying of the gentleness he displayed with cubs. Uriah had always looked up to him because of that.

“Thank you. I may have risked my life but Sanura still would have lost hers if it weren’t for him.”
"Finally, some recognition." Daylen thought to himself.
Daylen looked around, still wondering where Figgy was. He didn't know how he was going to handle having all these people if it was difficult just to let him in.

Kali dug her claws into the ground, her stomach squirming under the weight of the white cat's words. Sneering, she said, "Smiles? Last time I heard smiles didn't save you from drowning in a river. You may teach your cub to smile. I'll teach my cub to live, and we'll see who smiles more by the end of her days."
Kali turned, looking down at Cat, who wasn't smiling at all now. Then she turned back around.
"Perhaps my daughter's lack of smiles is due to the cold reception of your own daughter, hmm? Seems she's as rude to Cat as I am to you. A pampered princess," she spat, "incapable of scratching her own behind." Then Kali turned and trotted into the woods.
\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/
Figgy had stayed put for a little while to catch his breath, and then had moved off into the forest, to check his traps.
The first one he checked had nothing; but the first, second and third bore an antellope, an immature zebra and a young buffalo respectively. A wide grin spread across his face as he surveyed his bounty.
"I'm getting so good with these traps!" he said. "The potikki roots work like magic! Herbivores just can't resist!"
DON'T YOU EVER FEEL BAD ABOUT TRICKING ANIMALS OUT OF THEIR LIVES? said Jerry, the occasional voice that spoke into Figgy's head when he was alone. A secret 'friend' he had picked up and which had replaced the voice of his hunting dog family after spending months alone in the wilderness. It KIND OF ELIMINATES NATURAL SELECTION.
"Pfft," he replied, pointing his nose up at the sky. "Call it natural selection based on intelligence rather than speed."
Figgy reset the traps and then, very slowly, dragged the strangulated animal carcasses back to the tree that he, Karensha and Sanura had called home. He looked up in appreciation at the rennovations he had been making: severed branches had been grouped together to create mats between the high branches, giving them more space on which to sleep, and preventing the need to cling for dear life to prevent oneself from falling. His pulley system was still working too, which he used to get up and down the tree, counterbalanced by a huge boulder, but Figgy didn't drag the carcasses up there. He simply laid them out around the tree's base.
"Once Karensha's ditched all those extras, we're going to eat like royalty!" he said.
ROYALTY DOESN'T EAT QUITE AS WELL AS YOU, FIGGY, Jerry said.
Figgy shrugged. "Tough luck for them," he said, then crouched by his food, doing his best to wait before Karensha got back, so they could share their meal together.
His self control wasn't quite that strong, however.

Karensha had turned her back on the lioness and was talking to the three males when she heard Kaili come up behind her. Freezing for amoment she wasn't sure if she was about to be attcked or just berated some more. Waiting, she then turned to face her, but was too late it seemed she had already stalked off leaving the cub behind, one more.
"you had better hurry little one, if you are going with your mother, I don't think she would like the fact that you are staying here with us."
Turning back once more she looked at Daylen and smiled "I was including yourself in my thanks, I didn't mean for you to go unrecognised, again , thankyou."
"Now what we have to do is find figgy and get some food bought back here, because as Sanura and Sefu know, wherever he is, a meal wont be far away.."
Looking at Zoba and the way he was ungainly laying, Karensha moved around between plants until she found what she was looking for. Using her teeth, she pulled a plant free from the soil and took it back over to the brothers and laid down close to the injured ones flank. Slowly she chewed all the leaves until her mouth was starting to drip green coloured liquid from the corners running down onto her white skin leaving a trail. Not looking at anyone, she then lowered her mouth down to Zobas back and spat out all that had been chewed up into a paste from her mouth, and then bringing up a paw smoothed it over his skin gently until she was satisfied with how it was looking.
Karensha pushed herself back up and padded over to the side of the river and plunged her head under , while opening her mouth. Flicking her lilac mane back up in the air, she gargled slightly rinsing her mouth and spat what was left back into the flowing water.
Walking past past Uriah, she slowed without looking at him. "It should help him immensely, the spot where he is sore will start to go hot and the it will numb somewhat, just makes sure he stays where he is and not move around...sit on him if you have to".
Karenhsa looked over at Daylen and Sefu, " so who wants to stay here and who wants to come with me, to bring back food?"

Zoba didn't like not being able to move. Being injured made him feel helpless but it humbled him and made him more thankful for when he was not hurt.
He watched as Karensha moved around him and picked up a plant with her mouth and carried it over to him. Zoba became a bit confused when she began to chew the plant into a green paste. Things began to get clearer when she put it on his leg and spread it around. It was some kind of medicine. The pain stung a bit as she moved her paw back and forth but not enough for it to bother him. When she was done, she got up and walked over to the river and rinsed her mouth out before she turned around and began to walk past the two brothers.
"It should help him immensely, the spot where he is sore will start to go hot and the it will numb somewhat, just makes sure he stays where he is and not move around...sit on him if you have to".
Uriah looked down at Zoba and chuckled. "No problem." He said mischievously. Uriah walked around Zoba and laid his body across his back to make sure he couldn't move. He just sat there with a mischievous smile on his muzzle. A sharp pain went through Zobas leg when his brother flopping over him. "Ow." he said as he winced at the pain. Zoba looked at Uriah with a raised eyebrow and half smiled in a sort of sarcastic way.

Sanura moved forward not looking at the other cub who hadn't said anything or moved at all, and stood in front of the stripey lions.
"Can I stay here with all of them, please Karenhsa ? I wont go near the water or run away or anything, I promise I wont move.. please, please."
Watching as she nodded, the cub jumped in the air and let out a whoop, and then turned back to the snow leopard. "Umm I mean, thankyou karensha."
Jumping back around she stood there looking at them both. "why are you sitting on his back,? he can't give you a ride you know, he's hurt. Or are you cold and need warming up ?"

"I think I'll stay here." Sefu answered to Karensha, trying not to laugh at Sanura when she started to beg to stay to. "Make sure she doesn't get in any more trouble."
He looked over to the other lion that was by himself.
"Looks like you're going new guy, try not to get stuck in a trap when looking for Figgy."

"Looks like you're going new guy, try not to get stuck in a trap when looking for Figgy."
That was fine for Daylen, he needed to prove himself useful to Figgy still, and talking to Karenhsa might help him better understand who these new people are and about the groups history.
"Thats cool," Daylen replied, "I was going to offer to go anyway."

Zoba smiled at Sanuras joyful shout. The lion with the small scar on his cheek decided to stay as well while the dark lion opted to go with Karensha. The little tiger stood in front of Uriah who was laid across Zobas back making an x shape. Her expression was one of puzzlement as she asked,
"why are you sitting on his back,? he can't give you a ride you know, he's hurt. Or are you cold and need warming up ?"
Zoba would have laughed but Uriah was on his back and between him and the ground, there wasn't a lot of room for Zoba to expand his chest. Uriah looked at the cub and chuckled as he answered her. "Nah. I'm just holding him down so he doesn't go anywhere like miss Karensha said. D'you wanna help me? I don't think I can do it by myself." He said with a friendly smile spreading across his muzzle.
Zoba looked at Sanura with a smile. "Oh, I don't know. You've gotta be strong to hold me down." He tilted his head and added, "Think you're strong enough?"

The tiger cub stood there watching them, her head moving different ways.
" D'you wanna help me? I don't think I can do it by myself." Sanura turned around, grinning at Sefu. "Can I, Please ?" Not waiting for an answer, the cub turned back to the two lions on top of each other and looked at them a bit more closely, and then stepped back, looking at Sefu. "You watch what I can do Sefu, make sure you don't blink.ok ?"
Sanura moved closer to the one with the orange stripes on his face and pulled at one of his front paws, till at last it was poking out. "OK lift it higher off the ground.. a bit more higher.. stop.. that's it..now don't move."
Moving back a little, Sanura turned again to Sefu. "Watch now !" Blinking a few times she stared at his huge outstretched paw, then she started running while biting down on her lower lip and jumped onto his paw and then launched herself up onto his back banging into his brother still sitting there. Feelling herself start to slide her paw wrapped around Uriahs mane, grabbing hold stopping her fall. Over her shoulder she yelled out to Sefu. "did ya see, did ya see ?"

Karensha stood there a while longer, watching the looks of their faces. Sanura it seemed had taken to the three males no problems at all, all she could think of now was how Figgy was going to react.
Nodding her head at Sefu, when he said he would stay behind and look after the cub, made her feel relieved, the lion had proved himself over a few times before and after the attack by Rondea, maybe she could let her guard down a little, now it wasn't just the three of them anymore, but now a whole collection.
"OK Daylen, looks like its just me and you for now...lets go find Figgy and see if whatever he's caught, we can bring back here for all to share, and we know he's definitely got food."
Turing her white skinned body around she made to move back onto the trail, when she stopped and looked again at Sefu. "Everything will be alright, you will look after things here, till we come back ?"

Sefu watched watched the cub like he was told to by her. He wondered what she was going to do with the paw she pulled out and was surprised when she used it like a trampoline to get on top of one of the brothers.
"Wow you've become quite the acrobat since I've been away," Sefu said cheerfully. He looked over to Karensha to see that she was leaving, but stopped to ask him if everything will be alright. "Don't worry, I'll make sure nothing bad happens to them."
He then walked over to the two brothers and Sanura to keep a closer look on them all. The two of them were newcomers so Sefu didn't trust them too much yet, but didn't really sense anything bad about them.

"Alright," Daylen replied, "lets go."
He was happy to hear that Figgy would have food. Daylen was getting pretty hungry. He didn't want it to seem like he was mooching off of the group though, he needed to prove that he was able to provide food as well.

After Sanura had leaped up from the ground and onto Zoba's paw and then again up onto his back, she landed right next to Uriah and grabbed onto his mane to keep from falling. Although she may not realize it, the skill she displayed in doing this would serve her well when she grew up. Right now it just seemed like simple play but later on, she would use this balance and agility later on in life. Zoba wished the lioness that had walked away could understand this.
Uriah craned his neck with Sanura still holding on to his mane to pull her up onto Zobas back so that she wouldn't fall off.
While Daylen and Karensha walked away to find Figgy, Sefu stayed and walked closer to Uriah, Zoba and Sanura. It was definitely understandable that he would stay to make sure Sanura was alright. There was no sense in leaving a cub with a couple lions you hardly knew. Sefu was keeping an eye on them but there was no need for the brothers to be worried. They had no intention of harming anyone in the group.
Zoba was tired from trying to swim through the rushing water. He laid his head down on top of his arms and took deep slow breaths and exhaled making his brother and Sanura rise and fall. In the calmness, he could hear his own heartbeat. It was soothing. But he was still wet and if he and Sanura weren't completely dry by nightfall, sleeping would be difficult. At least they most likely would have a meal soon.
Uriah decided it would be a good idea to get to know everybody here better. He knew Zoba wasn't going anywhere so he stood up an lifted himself off his brothers back. He looked down at sanura. "Make sure he doesn't go anywhere." He said with a wink.
Uriah padded over to sit next to Sefu. "So, your name is Sefu, right?"

Karensha moved off with Daylen, it took alot of will not to stop and look back over her shoulder a few more times, to see what was happening, she needed to let Sefu be a part of their 'family' now and to show him more trust and also include him in any decisions, it wasn't just her Sanura and Figgy anymore.
As she walked with the lion beside her, she hesitated, she wasn't sure what to ask him without seeming to be the third degree, he looked liked he needed to be around others for some reason, so she didn't want to scare him away with her nosyness and over protection of the cub.
"Daylen.. how did you and Sanura come upon each other ? and are there any more of you we have yet to meet ?" The snow leopard grimaced at such stupid questions, but they were said now and she couldn't take them back, hopefully he wouldn't take anything she said as some sort of interrogation.

The walk with Karensha was quiet, and he had no idea what to say. The last little while had been pretty eventful. He had been accepted into the group, new people were showing up, and Sanura fell into the river. As his mind raced around thinking about the days events he tried to think of things he could ask Karensha to break the silence, but she beat him to it.
"Daylen.. how did you and Sanura come upon each other ? and are there any more of you we have yet to meet ?"
"Hmm, lets see," Daylen replied, "Well, I was having trouble falling asleep so I decided to go for a little walk. I was really bored, and not at all tired. I kicked a few rocks and let out a roar. I heard some rustling in the bushes, so I crouched down and slowly made my way over. I jumped in and then, there she was." Daylen paused for a moment, "As for part two of your question, no, there is no one else. Unless they somehow found me, which is highly unlikely."
Daylen tried of think of something he could ask her now.
"So, how did this group come together? Every new person that showed up, you and Figgy already knew."

The tiger cub sat atop of Zoba, she could really see alot from where she was. She had watched Karensha walk away with Daylen, but for some reason she knew she wouldn't be hurt by staying with the remaining ones, she was a little bit worried in case Mr Figgy came back all grumpy and scared them away, it was cool being with a group again.
Fidgeting alittle, Sanura was getting a little cold from Zobas wet fur so turned her self around and almost slid down his back till her paws touched the ground. Feeling pleased with herself she then moved around and stood in front of the lions head looking at him closely. Bringing her head in by one of his eyes, she almost giggled when the breath from his nose tickled her fur. Slowly she bought up a paw and placed it carefully on his eyelid, and pulled upwards. Sanura gasped and then shrieked as she jumped back.
" HE'S LOST HIS EYE, IT'S GONE THERE'S NOTHING THERE"

sefu watched as the smaller of the two brothers came over to him. He examined the lions appearance trying to see if he could pick up any information about his history. The fact that the blue marked lion seemed to not have any scars told Sefu that he hasn't seen many battles or is lucky enough to get cut deep enough.
"So, your name is Sefu, right?"
"You are correct kid," Replying in a friendly voice, "But I don't think I caught your's or your brother's name."
Suddenly out of nowhere, Sefu heard the small cub scream out that the other brother had lost an eye. He almost couldn't believe that the rest of the group had missed something like that. Turning to the still healthy one, he motioned to go back to his brother.
"Better double check that to make sure the cub isn't just seeing things."

Walking along with Daylen was indeed comfortable, and the snow leopard started to relax and enjoy their walk together.
"So, how did this group come together? Every new person that showed up, you and Figgy already knew."
" well not really, Sefu is the one we've known the longest, the others who were with us, seemed to want to travel and spend time alone after we were attacked, and then Figgy came along and sanura and myself kept moving , finding somewhere safe after we lost Meri. That other lioness you had the pleasure of meeting back there is a recent addition, with her cub. For some reason she keeps hanging around, I'm not sure which is worst her tongue or her wit."
Pausing for a moment, Karensha took in her surroundings and knew they were close to where Figgy had made their new home. A smile came to her face and she wondered where he was. He was certainly going to be surprised to find they had 'neighbours, her smile soon dropped when she realised that it was her that was happy she had others around them now, and that Figgy was going to take alot of persusion to see it as a good thing.
"Daylen... please don't be put off by how Figgy reacts when he sees you and the others, just don't take it personally, he.. he likes things his own way, but he really is a nice little feline under all that bluff and tummy."
Turning she glanced back at the lion by her side. "you sure you want to face Figgy ?"

Daylen listened to her answer, which brought up more questions that he would like to ask. He wasn't sure if she would like talking about Meri, so he thought it would be best not to ask, but he did want to know about the attack, But he kept silent as he thought about how to ask.
"you sure you want to face Figgy ?"
"Sure as sure can be," Daylen replied, "He's got to learn sometime that his way isn't the only way, besides, I'm pretty sure I can hold my ground."
He continued to walk with her, and thought that it would be best to keep his question to himself until a time where he felt it would be more appropriate

Figgy heard noises at the edge of the treehouse's clearing and lifted his bloodied nose out of the zebra carcass just as Karensha and Daylen walked into view. A smile spread across his face as he swallowed his mouth full, though irritation tickled his stomach at the sight of Daylen. He was rather hoping Karensha and he could share a private meal together. Still, the situation wasn't entirely recoverable.
"Karensha!" he said. It wasn't hard to smile when looking at her. "Look what I caught! Won't be any need for us to hunt tomorrow, ey? We can just lie up in the tree and relax, you and me, right? Especially since Daylen agreed to fetch his own food - which I'm really grateful for by the way, Daylen."

Hearing Figgy's voice her head turned from Daylen back to where she saw Figgy standing there with bits of flesh and blood sticking to his face, but what a wonderful smile he could produce she thought.
"Figgy, don't you think thats a bit rude, we have plenty for now to go around, and if Daylen is hungry I'm sure he could just rip off a piece and sit for a moment and refill his tummy while you and I have a little talk, there's.. something I need to tell you about."
Giving Daylen a nudge towards the carcass, she wasnt sure if he would take any or not, Figgy was a bit offputting to some, but at least he had a choice. Moving away she came to stand beside the portly lion wondering how to go about telling him of the others, and then decided to cut to the chase and tell it like it was.
" We have more guests to look after Figgy, other than your friend Kali and her cub, but I don't know where they are at the moment, but still, Sanura had a little...mishap and fell into the river and these two ..umm ..lions , I think might be brothers, happened along and with Daylens help pulled her from the river before she was swept away from us." Pausing for a moment to see how he was taking the news, nothing was forthcoming, so she hurried on. " In the process one of them was hurt, and can't move for a day probably, soo.... I said we will look after them and you will bring them some food."
Leaning into hs cheek, she blew away some pieces of fat that were clinging to his whiskers, and rubbed her cheek against his slowly back and forth. "I know you would want to thank them for saving our Sanura, and what better way of showing them how masterful you are at supplying food for us and by sharing with them as well.. PLease Figgy ?"

"Well... I am pretty hungry, and going to hunt isn't something I feel like doing right now."
Daylen walked over to the carcass smiling at Figgy.
"Consider this payment in exchange for me helping save Sanura. From now on though I can get my own food, or food for anyone else in case your traps don't catch enough... or anything at all."
He walked further away from them so that they could talk.

"You are correct kid, But I don't think I caught your's or your brother's name."
Uriah chuckled at being called "kid". He did look younger than he was so he didn't really mind being called by that particular name. He replied with a smile.
"Uriah. And that's Zoba."
Before he said anything else, he heard a loud shriek coming from Sanura.
" HE'S LOST HIS EYE, IT'S GONE THERE'S NOTHING THERE"
Uriahs eyes darted over to see Sanura stepping away from Zobas face. What is going on? He thought to himself. If Zoba had really lost an eye, he would have said something.
"Better double check that to make sure the cub isn't just seeing things."
Uriah laughed knowing that nothing was really wrong. "Oh, don't worry about it. Everythings fine."
One moment, Zoba was setting his head down on his paws to rest his neck and back muscles and the next moment, he heard a shrill scream in his ear folowed by Sanura shouting that he had lost his eye. Zoba must have dozed off for a minute or two. He gasped and pulled his head back in surprise. He put his paw up to his eye to make sure it was still there and then pulled it away to see if there was any blood on it. Then he thought for a moment. If I was missing an eye, you'd think I would know about it. He closed one eye, then the next just to make sure he could see out of both of them. When he had confirmed that he had not, in fact, lost an eye, he laughed at his gullibility then breathed a sigh of relief. His eyes must have rolled back while he was asleep so Sanura couldn't see his pupils.
Zoba looked down at Sanura so that she could see he had both eyes still in his skull.
"You gave me quite a scare there, Sanura." He said with a smile. "But I think I'd probably tell someone if I was missing an eye." With a quick wink and a smile, he lowered his head back down on top of his paws but kept his eyes open. He looked at the ribbon that was attached to Sanuras left paw. Feeling a bit playful, he took a deep breath and blew on it to make it flutter around.

(occ - sanura has a ribbon around her LF paw, not a bell Sanura stood there shaking, while Uriah and Sefu came towards her and then stopped in front of Zoba, she had looked all over the ground, but there was still no eye. As she looked back at the lion, he raised his head and stared at her. "You gave me quite a scare there, Sanura, but I think I'd probably tell someone if I was missing an eye."Moving in closer her nose nearly touching his fur, she bought a paw up first to his left eye and pulled up the eyelid looking and then did the same with his other one, and then stepped back feeling his breath on her. " I don't know where he got it from, but one of them wasn't there before, it was all whiteish and had little red lines all over it." Sanura bought her paw up and rubbed the emerald star shape that was around her left eye, sometimes it just got itchy and annoyed her, giving it another hard rub she stood back and looked at Uriah and Sefu. "So, what are we going to do while we wait for Mr Figgy and some food?" The tiger cub stood there looking at the three lions and grinned, behind them stood an amazing tree, one that was just right for climbing. Moving past them, she stood and stared at it, and then took a few steps back and then started bounding towards it and then lept at it, her small claws coming out and trying to dig into it, but not being sharp enough she slid back to the ground landing on her rump.

Sefu watched as the cub moved right pars him and the other two to climb a tree that was behind them. Letting out a small laugh when he saw the cub fall down, Sefu moved away from the two brother and over to where the cub was.
"Looks like you might need a little help climbing that tree." He said while lowering his head to Sanura's level. "And since that guy over there is to tired and his brother has to make sure he doesn't go anywhere, I guess I could help."
Looking up at the tree, He saw that it was a decent size tree with plenty of branches. The fact that the tree was tall made Sefu a little worried that the cub would fall. He looked back down at Sanura.
"First you've gotta promise to be careful because if you fall, Karensha would kill me."

Figgy listened to Karensha with a sinking feeling. MORE lions?? What ever happened to solitude? What ever happened to just her and him?
When Karensha mentioned that they had saved Safila from the river, he knew any argument would be hopeless, and flopped at her feet.
"Uggghh..." he said, then looked up at his love and grinned. "The things I do for you," he said with a smile, then snatched her paw and kissed it. "But you owe me one, don't you? Still, if Figgy the magnificent must feed another wayward pride of lions, then so be it." With that, he got up and returned to the food, then his ear twitched as Daylen spoke:
"Consider this payment in exchange for me helping save Sanura. From now on though I can get my own food, or food for anyone else in case your traps don't catch enough... or anything at all."
Payment? He wants payment for saving Sanura? Figgy's blood began to rise. Why didn't anyone do anything out of the goodness of their own heart anymore?? Stepping forward between Daylen and the food, he said, "Hey, you're meant to share." Figgy smiled, but there wasn't much warmth behind it. Still he stepped back and looked the lion up and down. "Big strong lion like you SHOULD be able to drag a carcass back to the others, right? After all, why should you get first feed? The others helped as well, didn't they?" He looked at Karensha to see if she'd back up his claim.

Daylen watched as Figgy's face changed after he spoke.
"Oh relax will you? It was just a joke, I wasn't serious. I just don't feel like hunting right now. But if you don't want me to have any, then I'll go get my own."
Daylen stopped and Figgy quickly jumped in front of him
"Big strong lion like you SHOULD be able to drag a carcass back to the others, right? After all, why should you get first feed? The others helped as well, didn't they?"
"Your too kind," Daylen replied sarcastically, "but flattery isn't going to make me carry this all the way to the others. But they did help too, so I'm willing to carry this to them IF someone helps me take it there."

Sanura felt the hard ground hit her rump, and gave a little moan, but jumped to her paws again, she was determined to get up to that branch like her and Meri used to do. Hearing a noise behind her she turned to see that its was Sefu standing there with a smile on his muzzle. "First you've gotta promise to be careful because if you fall, Karensha would kill me."
The tiger cub had this idea that came to her as she saw how big Sefu was. yes, now I know how I can get up into the tree. Moving around him she ran back over by Zoba and Uriah, stopped and turned around and ran as fast as she could, her small paws digging into the dirt, getting nearer to the lion she jumped, landed on some part of his body and then jumped to the tree, hit the bark dug her claws in then not looking down she moved higher and higher till at last she reached the large overhanging limb she had been staring at from the ground.
Sanura was panting hard as she pulled herself onto the branch and for a moment was dizzy, then she turned and stretched out grinning at what she had done. She had made it, all by herself. Looking down at the others, she blinked a little at first. " I did it, look at me ?," Stopping what she was about to say next, because for some reason they all looked so tiny down there and far away, she looked all around her and realised how high she had climbed.

Karensha giggled when Figgy flopped to the ground and reached for her paw and gave it a kiss, and then before he could move away she gently stroked the top of his head, and placed her paw back on the ground to steady herself.
Hearing Figgy having words with Daylen, she held back a sigh and moved over to stand beside them both, catching the last of Figgy's words.
""Big strong lion like you SHOULD be able to drag a carcass back to the others, right? After all, why should you get first feed? The others helped as well, didn't they?"
The snow leopard stopped herself from rolling her eyes in amusement, she looked first to Daylen and then back to Figgy. " All three of them saved Sanura, as I have told you, no one played a bigger part than the other, but Daylens quick thinking averted a dangerous situation, and you don't seem very thankful that Sanura is unharmed." Looking away from Figgy, she held her anger that was just starting to arise in check and nodded to the lion when he asked for help in pulling their meal back to the others. Not wanting Figgy to be in a bad mood when meeting the others, she stepped in between the males, so Daylen couldn't see and leant down by Figgy's ear.
"You know I will thank you properly later when we are by ourselves, it should be very memorable for you Figgy." Karensha moved her muzzle back up and gently rubbed the lions nose with her own and stared into his eyes with a warm smile, and then stepped back her gaze falling on Daylen.
"Come, you take one side and I'll take the other, and let's get moving, I feel we all need some fresh meat and then a good rest, after all that has happened."
