A Twist in the Plot

Nala turned and spotted Scar, smiling slightly she went to his side and sat by him. Nuzzling Scar slightly she caught Kovu's eye and warned him soundlessly that Scar might get annoyed because he hadn't done Scar's bidding. Nala looked away and kept a close eye on Simba hoping he wouldn't attack Scar. Nala then slumped into a lieing position by Scar waiting.

Shenzi watched as Scar approached. Good. She wanted to get out of this nut house!

"Uh, your highness, I think you will handle this better than me. Tata." She ran off before he could protest. Finding refuge in her cave, she lay down her tired body. Was she the only sane one left? Scar lost it ages ago, but now all the others where gone too. How could that lion think he was Simba, the cub she killed all those years before...

Her muscles tensed as she shot forward, landing her gaping jaws on Simba's soft flesh. The stringy texture of blood soaked fur filled her mouth, the skin ripping beneath her teeth.

"Shenzi, what the heck are you doing?" Vitani asked, glaring at the hyena who was simply staring into space with a horrified look on her face.

"I-uh, I don't know, kid. Everyone around here is going crazy." Shenzi was surprised to see the young woman. Ever since Scar's old queen left, she mostly stood in the background.

"You can say that again. My father, choosing that moron as his queen!"

"Yeah-huh. And she actually believes that guy who says he's Simba."

"Didn't you kill Simba?" Vitani asked. "Like, a long, long time ago?"

"Yep."

"Hm." Vitani said, looking away. "Maybe you can help me. Are you loyal to Scar?"

"Not much anymore." Shenzi said absentmindedly. Realizing who she was talking to, she tried to fix it. "No no no! I didn't me-"

"Don't worry. I hate him."

"You do?" Shenzi asked.

"Yes. And I plan to kill Nala."

Scar stared in disbelief as Kovu said, "He thinks he's prince Simba."
The scrawny king shook his head. What a claim. He raised his head slowly, grandly, pondering the stranger.
He obviously had known Mufasa's heir, that much was clear. But... who was he? There had been no other males in the pride at the time, and, as far as Scar knew, there were no other males in his direct family. Who would have known the infant cub?

Was it a joke? Looking at the intruder, Scar estimated him to be roughly the same age as Simba.... had he been alive now. Scar frowned, confused and worried. No one had dared mention the deceased king's name, or that of his infant son in Scar's presence. He scanned the stranger, looking for some wayward emotion, some glimmer of defiance that would allow him to put a name to him, and, ultimately have him exiled, or killed.

Nala sat next to him, and started nuzzling him. The great king pushed her away and stood up, moving nearer to Kovu.
Reaching his heir, he moved close enough to whispher in his ear, "I want you to find out who this lunatic is. Do what you think necessary. If he causes any trouble..." Scar turned away. Kovu would deal with him.

He looked over at his top hyena, who was muttering something , "Uh, your highness, I think you will handle this better than me. Tata." She said, as she ran off.
He confusedly watched her go. What was she up to? It appeared to him the whole pride was in on something.

Scar frowned.

Sarabi lay there hidden in the long grass, she kept her shoulders hunched down so she could lie lower, not to be seen. She could hear Nalas voice come to her on the light breeze

Snit of a girl, who does she think she is, playing the queen, issuing orders..wait till Scar gets sick of her and her whining , she'll be out on her fat rump, and lets see her boss anyone around then

She stayed still waiting.. no hyena.. where did they get too.. not caring anymore, sarabi moved away further.

Nala stood up sighing, "Give Kovu a break I'll deal with him alone. She trotted to Simba, "Come!" She ordered running into the distance, Nala smirked to herself. If Simba follows I'll help restore his health and together we will try to overpower Scar... Simba will be the rightful King! But how can I explain that to Simba? She thought to herself.




Banzai sniffed the air, "that scents some how familliar..." He mumbled. Then He recognized it, "SHENZI!" He cackled to himself and he followed the scent, he followed the scent to the cave he, Shenzi and Ed once shared. It was then he heard voices, "I have a plan to kill Nala." Banzai stood thinking, Nala... that name rang a bell. Where had he heard it? Oh yes she was the cub that always followed Simba. Smirking Banzai silently slipped in behind Shenzi. "May I join in?" He asked grinning at the beautiful hyenea.

Shenzi jumped at the sound of her friend's voice, wondering how much he heard, and how much was safe. Oh, what was she saying? This was Banzai!

"If you behave." She brassed. "Vitani?"

"Yeah, sure, I guess." Vitani didn't know the male hyena very well, heck, she didn't know Shenzi very well, but she found no reason to object.

"So," Shenzi started. "How do you plan to actually go about this..... action."

"I haven't worked out that part yet." Vitani admitted, "But I'm going to do it. I'm tired of that brat running around telling everyone what to do."

"And your mother being replaced has nothing to do with it?" Shenzi remarked with a smirk. The lioness growled. "Juust sayin'."

"Joke as you will, I'm going to. She'll regret the day she ever agreed to be Scar's queen." And with that, she ran out of the cave.

"Quite the dramatic group, lions are." Shenzi said to Banzai. "They just can't keep their fur on."

Banzai cackled close on Shenzi's tail, "agreed." He smirked, "so since it's been so long since we saw eachother why don't ya fill me in? I just wanna know how that bratty Nala became Scar's queen. Is he blind or something?" Banazi ran to Shenzi's side, "Race ya!" He called speeding off in front of Shenzi, It's been so long I hope we can restore our friendship. Banzai skid too a halt ahead of Shenzi. He waited for her to catch up but his paw had also started hurting again. Wonder what I did to my paw He thought frowning slightly as he began to lick it.

Sarabi slowly crawled away, she wasn't quiet sure what Nalas game was, but in her opinion, all the stress must finally be getting to her, one minute she was issuing orders, then she changed like the wind, then she was running this way and back again and another way.. stupid girl.. maybe she will send Scar insane, and thats how we get rid of him. Just the thought made a large grin spread across her muzzle.

Having moved a short distance away, she froze when Scars voice came to her on the breeze. She couldnt risk the slightest that he might catch her scent or see any blade of grass move. Lying low on her belly, she rested her face on the ground with her front legs stretched out, that way she was the lowest she could go.

The heat from the dusty ground pressed into her body, making sweat start to cover her and slowly roll into small beads and run down her sides, dripping onto the ground. Her face started to burn in the sun and even her long eyelashes were no protection. Sarabi pushed her tongue out through dry lips and licked around, while waiting for that deadly voice to leave her in solitude again.

Nala raised a paw alert she thought she had heard a noise looking away from Scar she caught site of Sarabi panting, she glared at her for a spilt second then looked away, you owe me Sarabi! I didn't grass on you She snarled under her breath and looked at Simba, "you coming?" She asked gently.

Shenzi stared at Banzai as he ran off, and continued to shake her head.

"Slow down before you hurt yourself." She said. "About Nala, I dunno. Scar I can understand, he's old, she's young, if you know what I mean. But what got into HER head, that's beyond me. It doesn't matter anyway, she'll be dead once Scar gets tired of her. Like that Zira lioness. Mufasa knows where her body is. Oh, and there's this crazy lion who thinks he's Simba. He looks like the cub, I guess, but how the heck can he be Simba? I killed him myself! YOU saw me kill him myself."

She walked back to the cave and lay down. "Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to catch up on some much needed sleep."

Vitani paced back and forth, her mind rushing. She needed a plan. How was she going to make SURE no one knew it was her? Nala was nearly never alone, she would always have lions and hyenas around her, especially now that she's Scar's queen. She would need Nala to be alone.

"A hunting trip." She whispered. Yes, she would invite Nala to a hunting trip, tell her it's to get to know her new "step-mother" and then kill her. It was foolproof.

"I want you to find out who this lunatic is. Do what you think necessary. If he causes any trouble..."

Kovu baulked. Him, learn who he was? Scar must be feeling ill today - normally if there was someone to get to know, or learn about, it was Scar who did it all... nevertheless the king was getting older. Maybe he was trying to train Kovu.
Kovu straightened up: Well, he wouldn't let his king down.

"You coming?" Nala said to Simba, and Kovu cleared his throat.

"What a good idea. Let's all go for a walk. Simba - whoever you really are - shall we follow Nala together?"

Nala looked at Kovu suspiciously, "I said alone. As in just me and Simba." She snapped at Kovu, "you need to train to become a strong king for when Scar passes away...thanks for offering anyway if it really is Simba I want to rekindle our friendship." Nala added so she didn't sound like she was up to something. "See ya later Kovu." She added running ahead then sitting waiting for Simba.

Banzai watched as Shenzi retreating into the cave again. Confused Banzai looked at Shenzi, "where shall I sleep?" He asked. "By the way Shenzi. Do you really think I would get hurt? Your the one who's the clumsiest." He grinned then sat by the mouth, "since I have nowhere to sleep I'll guard your cave." He said his back on Shenzi.

Scar noticed the puzzlement in his heir's face. Well, that was understandable. Scar usually handled such situations himself. In fact, the king was aching to take over this case, but, as he was getting older, he felt he may not have enough energy to fight the newcomer in case he turned on him, as well as the fact that Kovu needed the experience.
Scar nodded to himself as Kovu prepared to lead Nala and the newcomer off for interrogation. He was surprised then, when Nala spoke up, "I said alone. As in just me and Simba," she said, then ran off.
Scar saw straight through this scheme of his queen's. Hastily, he bounded after her, blocking her path.
He manouvered himself so that he was right beside her, then whispered into her ear, "Oh, I don't think you'll be going anywhere," he said threatiningly, then added sarcastically, "My dear."
He glanced over his shoulder for support from Kovu.

Nala snarled, "Scar you are a blood traiter this land is Simba's. Oh and I know you going to stop me from being your queen, I can read like a book so this is my final command. Scar....you, Kovu, Vitani and all of your hyenas. EXCILE." She raised a clawed paw and hit Scar over the face hard, "I think you should gather your friendship group now." She said coolly going over too Simba's side incase Scar attacked her. "Since I've exciled you it's Simba's turn to reign the pridelands. Goodbye Scar." She snarled.

"By the way Shenzi. Do you really think I would get hurt? Your the one who's the clumsiest."

She growled a swatted his face. Not hard enough to really hurt him, but hard enough to get her point across. "I'm not, sir. Shut up."

Vitani looked out across the plains, and she saw her father and Nala talking to a lion she didn't know. Must be the lion Shanzi was talking about. She ran quietly through the plains, listening.

"Scar you are a blood traiter this land is Simba's. Oh and I know you going to stop me from being your queen, I can read like a book so this is my final command. Scar....you, Kovu, Vitani and all of your hyenas. EXCILE."

Who does this priss think she is? She thought, but when she saw
Nala hit Scar on the face, she knew she meant business. Vitani spun on her heels, sprinting as fast as her legs could take her.

"SHENZI! Nala's gone beserk and 'exiled' all of us, threatened my father, and claimed the Pride lands belong to that crazy lion! I think she's going to get the lionesses, you know how they follow her like glue, so they might actually be danger. Get your hyenas, and come quickly!"

"Banzai, get the others." Shenzi told him. She didn't like Scar, but better him than some psycho. The two raced across the plains, shortly hearing the sound of countless hyena feet after them.

Banzai followed Shenzi and ran to all the hyeneas he could find saying the same thing, "go straight to Scar we've been exciled." Most hyenas ignored him but those who listened he was grateful.

Nala snarled then turned her back running straight to pride rock she spotted Sarabi, she padded to her hoping she would listen to her, "Sarabi? Can you do me a favour please? If you could gather all the lionesses I have a plan to overrule Scar." She ran to Pride rock and dashed in the cave. No lionesses. She stood on the peak waiting ears perked up at the slightest sound. It was now or never.

"After her!"
Kovu barked at his hyenas, who immediately sprinted after the crazy lioness. He started following himself but then paused, wandering over to Scar.
"Master... are you alright?"
he said cautiously. Scar had a temper at the best of times: he didn't want to make him any angrier than this new insult had made him.

[Goanna]

"Scar you are a blood traiter this land is Simba's. Oh and I know you going to stop me from being your queen, I can read like a book so this is my final command. Scar....you, Kovu, Vitani and all of your hyenas. EXCILE." Nala shrieked, then swiped Scar with outstretched claws. She then ran off towards pride rock.
The king stretched back his top lip in a terrifying snarl, then flexed his muscles, ready to run after her.
The scheming, snivelling, goody-goody lioness had finally struck, as Scar had thought she would. He hadn't reckoned on her turning completely mad however. Who did she think she was?, exiling the king.

Scar blinked back to reality, letting out a fearsome roar that caused to nearby hyenas to quiver. She'd pay for this.. with her life.

The king turned. The hyenas were coming, along with Vitani. Good. He needed support in case any lionesses were foolish enough to join her. Already Kovu had ordered some of his hyenas after her.
"Master... are you alright?" Kovu enquired. Scar faced him, still snarling.
"Now, Kovu," he said slowly, "now is the time to prove yourself in front of me. After her!!" His voice reached a dramatic climax as he launched his body into action, racing towards pride rock.

[Dakota]

Sarabi lay there in the long grass, she couldn't believe her eyes or her ears..what on earth was Nala trying to do, this time she had completely lost it.
A shudder ran through the older lioness, all these different scenarios bounced around in her head at what possible retaliations Scar could commit and enforce on them all.

Turning her head sharply at the scuffing of paws in front of her, Sarabi kept her face downwards in subserviance, expecting Scar to be there and not wanting to make him any angrier. Opening one eye half way and peeking a look, she saw Nalas paws placed there, now curious she lifted her head fully staring at her.

"Sarabi? Can you do me a favour please? If you could gather all the lionesses I have a plan to overrule Scar."

Before the lioness could reply, Nala bounded off leaving Sarabi just staring into space.
"She's gonna die, and it's going to be one day real soon, stupid girl."

First Kovu chased Nala to where she revealed Sarabi hiding in the grass. Despite that he was running as fast as he could, he could see them exchange some words, and growled to two of his hyenas,
"You two: take Sarabi back to Scar. He'll know what to do with her."
Then he ran on, with the rest of the pack in tow. There were more sitting about pride rock, and he shouted,
"Follow me!"
They massed up behind him - on the left and the right, bored hyenas looking for a chance to spill some blood. Particularly lion blood. He saw Nala run into a den and grinned.
She was trapped.
"Hello, Nala,"
he said, as the hyenas lined up beside him, tongues lolling out of their mouths, teeth bared, yapping and growling.
"Going somewhere?"

As soon as Nala ran away from her, Sarabi pushed herself slightly to her paws, with her body still hunched over, so she wouldn't appear above the grasses, and made to move off.
Keeping her eyes downcast, she softly placed one paw in front of the other going in the opposite direction, when her head hit something soft yet hard and warm.

Her nostrils flared, and the smell of hyenas hit her full force. Staggering back she lay there in a begging position.
"Please don't hurt me, I'll do whatever you want.. I was just out looking for some fresh water, and then I was going to go back to the cave....please ...Sarabi lay there ripples of fear running down her spine, she knew she should be used to the years of this byplay, but every time, she still hoped someone would stand up to them all and come and rescue her.

At last it came, in one way she was relieved when she felt the first hyenas claw grab hold of the skin on her head, and pull her up off the ground, shaking her and mocking her for her disobediance to the king and his heir. Sarabi kept her eyes closed, there was no point in watching, she knew what she would see on the vile things faces, just pleasure in giving out pain.
Not fighting, she just lay limp, letting them have their way with her. When their feet connected with her ribs, she couldn't help herself and gave a grunt of pain, and at the same time, could feel all the water that she had drunk thirstily, rising from the bottom of her stomach, mixed with bile and acid. She kept swallowing trying to hold it in, but it was no use, with a sharp burst, it forced its way through her gritted broken teeth and bellowed from her muzzle, spraying both hyenas forceably.

Suddenly she was lying on the ground, they had dropped her quickly shrieking when her tummy contemts marched up to met them. Sarabi gave a small smirk of satisfaction, and dug her claws in, pulling herself away on the dry hard floor.

Nala was cornered, she glared at Kovu, unsheating her claws she ran at Kovu and hit him hard over the face. In the short time he was stunned she had ran past him. Looking over Pride rock she saw hyeneas circling an area, where Sarabi was. She squinted looking for any trace of Scar, he hadn't moved. That meant, "those hyeneas are Kovu's!" She cried. She turned deciding whether to interfere or stay here and fight Kovu. She turned to hear snarling, Kovus remaining hyenea's prowling silently towards her. Nala smirked and prowled toward the hyenea's, "haven't you ever stopped to think?" Nala said as if she had just replied to a conversation. The hyenea's looked at her confused, "haven't you ever stopped to think, am i doing the right thing obeying lions." A large male hyenea stepped forward, "why don't you all rebel against the lions who have ordered around? In other words disobey Kovu and Scar?" She smiled as realisation spread over them one by one.

Nala turned away from them, "you lot are so powerful you'd be able to overpower Scar and Kovu, no problem." She smirked to herself, "why don't you try?" She said calmly, turning she saw the hyenea's facing the cave and prowling swiftly toward Kovu. "Perfect." She said menacingly.

OCC.I'm assuming Malakia's "large male hyena" was Banzai, because that is a character she controls.


"haven't you ever stopped to think, am i doing the right thing obeying lions."

Shenzi growled, realizing what Nala was going at. Before she could answer, Banzai stepped forward, apparently considering this.

"why don't you all rebel against the lions who have ordered around? In other words disobey Kovu and Scar?"

Shenzi couldn't believe what she was seeing. Her hyenas were actually doing the lionesses bidding!

"Don't you see what she's doing!?!" She shouted at her companions. "She isn't trying to help us; just trying to get us do her dirty work! If we kill Scar and Kovu, she's just going to order us around too!" Shenzi ran in front of the group. "She wants some psycho lion who thinks he's Simba, who we all know I killed, as king! How would that be any better?" The female hyena sighed with relief when the pack stopped.

Vitani stayed with Scar, watching the commotion. Shenzi seemed to be able to keep the hyenas under control. Nala was removed from the chaos for a moment. Vitani knew this was her chance. Her chance to show Scar that she was a great daughter. Picking up her feet, she raced at the lioness standing there. Keeping quiet, she snuck up to her and, with a great leap, jumped on her back.

Nala snarled ferociously at Vitani, then unsheathing her claws she raised her paw, ready to strike Vitani in her face and wipe that look away.. The next she knew they were locked together on the floor, trying to avoid blows.

Shocked Banzai was trying to decide which side to choose. Thinking deeply he turned to another hyena by him.
“Pass this message on, but dont tell Shenzi…. Save Nala.”

A female hyena smiled at Banzai and passed it on. Banzai listened carefully and heard the mumbles of agreement. The female by him whispered in his ear,
“Sorted, we are all up to it. You go first and we’ll follow.”
Banzai nodded then padded forward a bit with an ear-splitting snarl, hyenas pounced forward and encircled Vitani, a couple of them nudging her hard.

Nala hung on, if Vitani wanted a fight, she would get one, but with the hyenas for the moment on her side, she wasn't sure what was going to happen. It was upto Vitani to realise she was outnumbered, especially as Kovu wasn't around to order the hyenas to do his bidding for once.

Vitani looked up to she all the hyenas jumping at her. Yelping, she jumped off of Nala. She looked at the hundreds of gleaming teeth ready to rip her to shreds.

"You rotten backstabbers! Don't you care about what her people did to you!?! Don't you remember how Mufasa, her king, dumped you in that Elephant Graveyard? And now your HELPING her!?!"


When all the hyenas jumped at Vitani, Shenzi fumed. How could they be so stupid!?! And Banzai, her best friend all these years, leading them! This would not stand. She was the pack leader! The dominate female! With a cry she leaped in front of Vitani and Nala.

"Well Banzai, if you want to lead them, fine. But right now, I'M the dominate female and I call the shots! If you want to lead them, we're gonna have to fight." She stood firmly. "Just the two of us, no help." She glared at the rest of the hyenas.

“Agreed.” He snarled, he prowled forward, “Nala’s king is dead and she doesn’t mind, do you Nala?”
Nala smiled at Banzai, “I don’t mind. He forced me and Simba to be “best friends.”” Banzai smiled then turned to face Shenzi, “see.” He snapped.
He lowered his head, eyes glinting menacingly but before Shenzi could attack, he had pounced on her pushing her out of Nala’s path. When they had both fallen to the ground Banzai rolled and pinned her.
“Still want a fight?” he snarled, “I am not your best friend! You betrayed me years ago!” Banzai stepped off Shenzi and backed away. He stared at her with sorrow in his eyes , then turned as if heading to the peak of Pride Rock, Stopping he looked at her and snarled mockingly
“Come and get me if you want me that bad”

Nala looked up to see Banzai heading towards the top of Pride rock mocking Shenzi.
“GO BANZAI!” She cried out,
Nala snapped her gaze back onto Vitani
“Vitani! Here’s a fact, before you even bother to attack me, your mother was a cheating murderer. She NEVER cared about Scar she just wanted royalty! She was vain, cruel and pathetic.”
Nala turned and padded into the shadow of the caves and disappeared almost as if she had dissolved into the rocky wall. “I know this because I overheard her when I was weak from hunting.” She sighed, “you really need to reconsider who’s side you choose.” Nala smirked with her face hidden in the shadows, “Banzai and the pack have made a good choice because I have earned their trust and they know I’m a girl of my word.”

Making sure the hyenas were preoccupied, Vitani jumped on Nala again. Zira was not selfish. She would tell Vitani as a cub, the time when she was still a princess, how she should always fight for Scar. Scar is king, she said, and your father. Always stay loyal to him. He is the greatest leader these pitiful lands ever had.

"Aww, isn't she just a saint! Enough of a saint to betray the lion she has been fighting for the throne of! Mufasa forced you to be friends, huh? Why don't you tell HIM that? Of course you won't. You either lied to him and pretended to be his friend, which makes you a backstabbing lowlife, or you lied to Banzai to keep him on your side, which makes you a backstabbing lowlife too. Oh wait! And how about becoming Scar's mate to be queen! Hm, deceiving someone for power...... sounds just like the LIE YOU JUST TOLD ABOUT MY MOTHER!"

Vitani slashed at Nala, focusing her anger, at Nala, at the hyenas, at Simba, and Mufasa, at Scar........... at the world, in her strike.

Shenzi winced as Banzai pounced her her. Growling, she fought to get him off. He hit her, but she stood her ground.

“Still want a fight?I am not your best friend! You betrayed me years ago! Come and get me.”

Shenzi watched as he climbed to the peak of pride rock. Shaking her head, she ran up to the top.

"I don't want to do this, Ban, but you give me no choice." Running forward, she butted her head into his side. Knocking him down just before the edge of the peak, she held his throat in his throat. She looked at him,"Want to take all that back now that your life is in my paws? By the way, I'm extremely interested in when I betrayed you. You didn't LIE, did you?" She slowly began to tighten her grip on his throat. "Cause you see, I don't like liers...." She began to let go, but for a moment, her eyes caught his. Her mind flashed back to the last time she had a decision to kill...... or let live.

The little cub had a terrified expression as he ran through the canyon, his breath rasping out of his mouth as he ran. Shenzi ran too, her stomach grumbling, ready to taste cub meat. No other thought crossed her mind. But what is one had? What if, for a moment, she thought about whether this was the right choice? What if, for a moment, she thought about what could happen later?

"I CAN'T DO THIS!" She yelled. "I don't care if you hate me. I can't kill you! I can't kill again!" Hit tears streamed down her face, clouding her sight. Stop crying. she thought. You don't cry. But she couldn't help it. They wouldn't stop.

Banzai smiled ,then dug his hind paws into the peak and pulled himself up,
“I forgive you Shenzi, but tell me why where you crying?” He asked gently raising his paws and wiping Shenzi’s tears away.
Banzai turned as he heard Nala yelp, snarling Banzai shook his damp paw and ran to Vitani, “get away from her!” He snarled. Nala whimpered and looked up,
“Vitani, I couldn’t tell Mufasa he has a tremendous temper! He was terrifying.” Nala pinned her ears back ignoring the pain in her paw, sighing Nala stood up and limped into the shadows of the cave.
Laying down Nala put her head on her good paw and sighed silent tears trickling down her face. “Nala?” Banzai asked gently, “leave me alone!” Nala replied her voice trembling, Banzai shot an annoyed look in Vitani’s direction then padded over to Shenzi, sitting by her he watched the cave with sad eyes.

Vitani smirked as the oh-so-amazing lioness yelped at her strike.

“Vitani, I couldn’t tell Mufasa he has a tremendous temper! He was terrifying.” She sobbed as she ran off.

"Wimp." Vitani mumbled, rubbing the blood off her claws. She raced back to Scar. I attacked Nala, while Kovu just stood there like a cub. He has to make me princess again now! "Father, Nala ran to her cave. She is weak and injured. I attacked her, without hyena help. Kovu.." She gulped, trying to find the best way of saying it. "Was not able to do so. He may need more training, and I am ready." She bowed quickly. "I would love to be your heir, at least till Kovu can be it well."

Shenzi looked into Banzai's worried eyes. He wanted so bad to help her, but how could she? She would never forgive herself if she helped Nala. Still, Banzai has been brainwashed by the stupid lioness. He isn't going to come to his senses anytime soon. It would tear apart her pack.

"Banzai..... leave her." She took a deep breath. "We have to stay neutral. Our pack is split, don't you see? The only way it can stay together is if we don't take sides. We just have to."
