Name: - Pulsar
Gender: - Male
Age: - Adult
Animal: - Lion
Features:
- Black Main Coat, Covers the major of his body.
- White Underside Fur and Paw Toes, White fur extends from the muzzle all the way down the neck (behind the mane), underside of the body and half way down each leg and the tail, but only on the underside/inside of the appendage.
- Golden/Yellow Mane/Tail Tuft.
- Golden/Yellow Eyes.
- Average Build.
Nature:
Pulsar’s personality is often a difficult one to judge. Generally, he is a rather friendly and considerate lion at times even being very compassionate. He values loyalty and honesty in both himself and others. However, there have been instances where he has been willing to abandon and even condemn his values if he ever felt a situation was dire enough to warrent it and that the outcome of going against his nature was worth the act itself. He will when possible, try to be good, sometimes even to his own detriment, this has made his trust difficult to earn, despite his friendly and slightly outgoing nature. At times he can also be cold and methodical in how he treats certain situations, always considering whether or not the ends justify the means and what it would mean to act. Despite all this he does have his moments when even he himself has some fun.
History:
Pulsar’s history is shrouded in mystery. Little pieces of knowledge about the lion himself and his past can be found throughout the various stories told by those he has helped or hurt in his travels. His history is that of rumours, tales and legends… Depending upon who you ask that is.
Fantasy Details:
Appearance (Relevant During Fantasy Themes RPs):
- A Yellow Crystal protrudes from his forehead.
Abilities:
1st Ability -
Pulsar’s first ability is that he can gather up energy in his body and emit it as bolts of lighting. The more energy he applies to the attack the stronger and grander the attack becomes. This lighting can also be used and aimed at an existing storm, this turns most storms into a lighting storm. The more energy he applies to said storm the more he causes it to reach a critical mass at which point the storm will start sending out lighting toward the ground. While a very effective attack when it comes to blanketing big areas, Pulsar is unfortunately not able to control the exact locations the storm strikes with it’s lighting thus allowing it to hit allies as well as enemies. When he gathers enough energy around himself this can often cause an electromagnetic disturbance, which can create a thunder storm though in order to do this the charge up is much longer then if he was to simply utilise an already existing one.
There is generally a visual cue that Pulsar is gathering up his energy to attack, small sparks will jump across his mane and body, growing more intense as more energy is gathered. Both his yellow mane, his eyes and the crystal on his head will often also light up brightly the more energy is gathered.
2nd Ability -
Pulsar’s second ability is that he is capable of using the energy he gathered to accelerate his own speed, allowing him to move as quick as lighting itself and in some instances faster than light. Again the longer and quicker a movement, the more energy is required of him. When Pulsar moves over a certain speed he often emits little sparks from his body and mane, a visual sign that he utilised this ability.
3rd Utility -
Pulsar’s last ability is that of energy storing, since Pulsar feeds off energy to live. When he draws energy he can do one of two things, either use it, or store it for later use. However his own body can only house so much energy. Any extra is stored as little glowing balls which hover around his body in random patterns, visually they look akin to fire-flies. He stores energy in this way so that they may later be consumed for power to feed or to attack.
Drawback -
While Pulsar’s ability is powerful, it is not without it’s setbacks. Pulsar’s body doesn’t require nutrition in the more traditional sense, instead, it uses the energy he draws to sustain itself. Pulsar’s entire life hinges on him maintaining enough energy to sustain his body. This means that attacking (since it uses energy) can be risky for him. The bigger an attack he does the more energy he uses which results in his powers being akin to a double-edged blade. A big enough attack or move might save him from danger, but it could also kill him in the process.
